I like to try new coffee shops on Sundays and unexpectedly found Knafeh Cafe today. I didn't get to step inside because I had my dog with me, but my partner went in to order my Dubai strawberry latte (half sweet) and picked out a few pastries. The young man who took his order was very polite and made great recommendations based on his favorite flavors. Everything was delicious: texture was amazing, VERY fragrant, and not too sweet. Although, It might've been too sweet if I didn't order the drink half sweet. I'm not sure how much everything cost because i didn't pay for it but i assume it's expensive as they use real, quality ingredients. my boyfriend was homesick and craving knafeh, and this place was so good it made him emotional :') we each had a crispy knafeh slice, and they kindly offered to heat it up for us. it tasted exactly like what you'd get in the middle east, and my boyfriend said "that was copy paste of what i get back home" -- the highest compliment! we initially came to try the same qatayef, but they were sold out, so we'll definitely be back. can't wait to try more of the menu! read more

I finally got to try Knafeh Café, and I was not disappointed. I placed my order ahead of time, and they made it fresh on the spot--exactly how knafeh should be. I've tried multiple places for knafeh, and this is easily one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly made, delicious, and so good that I went back and got another one the very next day! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the shop itself is clean and inviting. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Anaheim. Delicious Knafeh! We got a recommendation for some sweet desserts here, so my friends and I made sure to stop by when we were in the area, especially since it's not often that we get to go eat middle eastern desserts. There's decent parking in the plaza and the shop it self has a small singular table and seats and a small counter where you can stand and dine. There was a party seated there before, a couple customers, and a lady making a catering pick up order when we got there, but service was efficient and super friendly and informative. They have packaged tea and knafeh and other imported goods that you can purchase, as well as all of their made in house goods behind the glass. The young gentlemen working were really upbeat and looked like they enjoyed what they did, giving us tips on how to eat some of the dessert that we ordered and giving his thoughts on his favs as well. We got the: 1) Knafeh Slice: -This is their original crispy version, since they have the softer version available as well. -Delicious dessert that has a great textural mix of the crispy buttery shredded dough on top and the gooey cheese at the bottom. It's already sweetened by their homemade simple syrup, but there's a bottle at the cashier if you would like to add extra. -Love the different flavors and textures for this and I can probably eat a 1/3 of a tray if left to my own ways. 2) Hareesh: -This was the dessert recommended by the worker. -He said they only made 2 trays a day and he can eat it nonstop. -None of us have tried this dessert before, so we got a slice of this as well. -It comes with nuts and is a moist semolina cake drenched in honey and homemade syrup, topped with some crunchy nuts. -Reminds me a moist super sweet honey cake. Perfect for those with a sweet tooth, crumbles easily. Would go great with a glass of milk to be honest. 3) Dubai Chocolate Knafeh: -As the fancy trend is hitting for the Dubai, you just gotta. -It's similar to their crispy knafeh, but without the simple syrup on top there's chocolate, pistachio, and a pistachio layer within the shredded dough as well. -Not bad, but again, cannot beat the original. If you're a lover of Knafeh, this might just be the place you will find some of the best and freshest ones. They have a bunch of different varieties of Knafeh and Baklava here if you like variety. I love the traditional crispy Knafeh that just has that perfect contrast of crunch and chew from the cheese in the middle. I also tried their Mhalaya which was a pudding like dessert similar to a Panna Cotta which was very pleasant to have. Great thing about this place is that they also have good drinks and I love a nice Karak Tea to go with almost any dessert. Come here for the Knafeh, there's not much of a seating area and it's not a place I would dedicate to sit down and enjoy but you can get slices of Knafeh or order a whole tray to take home. read more

Just drove 45 minutes for the best Knafeh I have had since Dearborn, Michigan. The service was excellent and the prices are exceptional. Approximately $7.50 per piece and they are on the larger size--so great value for the quality for sure. For the Knafeh, there is a soft and crispy option, I personally enjoyed the crispy one much more. I really appreciated the extra syrup drizzle on the side to add more to my liking. The shop has a few seats inside and a few tables outside to enjoy your delectable sweets. The Turkish coffee was crazy good too! I really wanted to like this place but off the bat I could see the kids taking care of customers were misunderstanding orders and not getting them right. Then I got two orders of knafeh to go and they didn't even give us the syrup!! I had to go back to ask for it and the kids said you have to ask for it! What? I have had Knafeh cafe in my bookmark for a while. Last weekend, I was in Anaheim  and I finally visited the place. We found a parking spot easily.  They have a wide variety of kenafeh, Baklava, cold desserts, and drinks. The young man who helped us, was very friendly and helpful. I ordered these desserts to go; -Kenafeh Slices.   5/5 Creamy kenafeh cheese,  layered with generous buttery shredded phyllo dough, then creamy sweet cheese at the bottom, finally  topped with chopped pistachios and light syrup. It was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Hareeseh with Pistachios  5/5 It is a moist semolina cake drenched in honey and homemade syrup, topped with generous layers of fresh pistachios. It was such a delightful dessert. I fell in love with this dessert! The piece was huge, so I divided it in little squares. I've since come here twice. The staff are great. One server advised me on warming the knafeh for thirty seconds in the microwave to enjoy it warm. It was here that I was also able to pick up some knafeh for some close friends from college, one of whom admitted he was intending to try knafeh after seeing it on social media. Funny enough I didn't get to try their knafeh but their selection is wonderful. I've always wanted to try Aish El Saraya & they had it so I went with that. Came here because I was craving a piece of home. I'm originally from Michigan which hosts the best knafa the US can offer. I will say this doesn't compare to what I've had in the past sadly, but I have to thank them for even making it. Would recommend providing a side of the syrup. Had both the regular and crispy versions and both were delicious. Rice pudding was good but very rosewater(?) forward and could stand to be milkier/creamier (just personal taste). This place has a lot of options in knafeh I didn't try any but they had Nutella, recess and others. I tried the pudding which I liked at first but after a while it started tasting like pickles but it could just be me tasting that, my husband had the rice pudding and he loved it we went back for more I didn't get to try it because he finished it before I remembered. We also bought some cheese desserts and I still have not tried them but my husband did and he seemed happy here so I recommend it. He's Arab and I'm Mexican so his opinion is much more safe to say it was great! read more

Tried this place for the first time and went for the soft cheese knafeh. We asked for it warmed up and drenched it with syrup ourselves. The syrup wasn't too thick which I preferred as it made it easy to cover the whole plate. The first bite was heavenly -- sweet & crumbly texture on the top with savory cheese on the bottom. The cheese pull was a nice touch, that's how you know it's freshly made. It's a small hole in the wall spot that has limited seating but service is fast & friendly.
