STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great food, decent service When we first got there no one directed us to a table or gave us a menu so we were a bit confused but eventually it got sorted out and the rest of our time was great. It had a big tent outside for additional seating, but plenty of room inside as well. The interior decor was nice and the restaurant felt comfortable. Our party of three shared the following: - Veggie plate (assorted vegetarian favorites served with pita bread) - Extra order of falafels - Cheese sticks (like cheese egg rolls) I also tried their Turkish coffee, which was great. Everything was delicious and we really enjoyed our time here. I'd actually forgotten I've been here before, as I never wrote a review (but posted some photos). Still a solid spot in little Arabia.

Plenty of patio seating available. Cheese sticks made a great appetizer. They came out fresh and hot. Feta cheese used was really good. Combo plate was a good portion size for two people and comes with beef and chicken. The salad with this plate was really good and refreshing - vinaigrette was not overly strong. Falafel wrap is a classic - you can tell that they make the falafel in-house with real chickpeas. Super cool that they also serve breakfast items and plenty of bakery items made fresh to order. Great place to get some decent lebanese food with family and friends in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

How am I just now finding out about this spot? The food is sooo good especially the soujook and the cheese blankets wow. I need to come back because we didn't get to try their dessert. I even saw a cute grad party going on in their banquet hall which was set up really nicely!

this place is a restaurant and a dessert shop at the same time! completely satisfied my friend and i's chocolate craving. i didnt try their lebanese food this time but would def come back bc i was looking at other people's food and it looked so delicious LOL. i love that this place is open later (10pm) and is so lively late at night with people coming in and out and families!! you can customize a lot of the sweets on the menu with different fruit toppings and also diff types of chocolate like nutella, dubai, and belgian strawberry banana skewers drizzled with chocolate - 5/5 strawberry & banana chocolate crepe - 5/5 dubai chocolate crepe with strawberries inside - 5/5 the ice cream on top makes it actually so good brownie & banana sushi crepes with belgian drizzle on top & ice cream on the side - 4/5: it lets you customize what you can put in here but the combo i chose of the brownie and belgian conflicted flavors and was too chocolate-y for me. i asked for ice cream on the side and its the GOOD type of ice cream too. it balanced out the chocolate for me and is such a good addition to the sweets the staff are so extremely nice and the parking lot is huge. def a great spot to check out

This place is always a great time! I've been here multiple times over the year and it never disappoints. The service was good, I had the fettuccine crepe with strawberries and it was delicious! I just love this place's quality! Highly recommend! It's nice inside as well. I will definitely be back

Went here for a work retreat and the food was absolutely amazing! The lamb kabob was so juicy and the sides of the rice, hummus and salad were amazing! Seasoned well and the salad had a great balance of acidity. The service was amazing and they were accommodating out our large party of around 12 and made sure we had good portions of what we ordered. The liveliness of inside the restaurant was wonderful and a huge TV to watch the World Cup. Parking is shared with a shopping center so parking can be tight closer tot he restaurant but more towards the Stater Bros area.

Came in for dessert but ended up trying the cheese rolls as well and the pita bread was so soft. Mini pancakes and berry crepe were delicious and good portion

There should be more than 5 stars for this place. We came from LA , with a party of 12 for my daughter's bday. It was 90+ degrees outside and from the moment we walked in they made us feel welcome. They hustled and brought tables and chairs from the back because we wanted to sit inside. I don't know if this is family owned but if feels like family. I wish I could hang out with all them after work. They seem very nice and fun. There are plenty of places with good food. But good service is RARE. My daughter picked this place but I want to come back. Totally worth the drive and the price. The food was sooooo good. I was shocked how good this place is. HIGHLY highly recommend coming here. Love the staff, the food, the vibes. It's small but beautiful atmosphere.

Desserts are a MUST TRY! We ordered the crepe and it was a great idea, they make it in house and with fresh fruits! So yummy! Also, we ordered the falafels and they are HUGE! It was so yummy and honestly I prefer it outside like this so I could take it home. The service was lovely and the restaurant was nice and lovely but there was a FIFA game going on when I was there!

My friends and I ordered Turkish Coffee to kill time before brunch next door. Coffee was rushed to brew and was not enjoyable because the coffee grounds were all over the coffee and didn't sit on the bottom as it'supposed to be.. They brewed a pot of coffee and threw some mouth wash sized thin paper cups you get at the dentists to help ourselves instead of serving us with their ceramic cups. I know most don't add sugar and cream to Turkish coffee, but they didn't ask if we needed that or anything at all. Service was non existence . I've been here a few times in the past for their middle eastern pastry and spinach pies. I never felt welcome there for some reason, something in that extent. (Felt like we were ignored. I remembered now that's why I stopped coming here and started to go to Forn Al Hara down the street regularly with fresher and more delicious food and better customer service.

this place actually exceeded my expectations! we had the cheese sticks which were delicious - it was like if an egg roll and a mozzarella stick had a baby. then my friend and I split a combo plate because the portions were so huge and this included three types of meat that we were able to try, lamb beef and chicken. this was so delicious and it also came with salad and hummus, and the bread basket that they gave us was the most delicious bread I've ever had. and the best part is that there's a crêpe shop right inside so you can order dessert right after dinner. service is great and there's indoor and outdoor seating

Mom and pop's Mediterranean restaurant. Located in a tucked away, small commercial shopping mall, there's plenty of parking available. When we arrived, it wasn't full; actually it was almost empty. After reviewing the menu, we ordered: hummus with meat, cheese (rahkat) sticks, cucumber salad, lentil soup, a lunch special and a shawarma chicken plate. Once the food was brought out, we were starving and ate. The food was so good and there was a lot of it! We had to take some home for leftovers. Everything was so good. Ambiance is cozy. The server was ok, didn't smile much but was attentive.

Zena's was the fifth place we tried, and they absolutely hit the nail right on the head! Our waiter, who is also the owners' son, was fantastic. The food was fantastic, and the tabbouleh vanished fast. I'm not saying there was a fight over the last bite... but let's just say friendships were tested. Zena's is definitely a winner! It's only about 7 minutes from the parks, making it the perfect lunch or dinner spot if you're craving something flavorful that won't leave you feeling heavy. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The spinach pastry was hands down my favorite, perfectly flaky with a delicious savory filling. The potato pastry was a close second and just as satisfying. If you visit, don't skip the pastries! We also tried the steak and chicken kebab combo plate, and both were cooked perfectly. The chicken was especially tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. You can actually watch the meat being cooked fresh in the back, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic. I ordered the veggie plate with falafel, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, hummus, and tahini sauce, and every single item was delicious. The falafel really stood out. It had a perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior with a soft, flavorful center. Dipping it into the baba ganoush, hummus, and tahini made every bite even better. One of my favorite things was that the meal was incredibly satisfying without feeling greasy or overly heavy. It was fresh, filling, and packed with flavor, but I still felt great afterward. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, and the service was impressively fast. They also have a great selection of Mediterranean spices if you want to bring some of those incredible flavors home. Huge compliments to the chef and the entire team. Between the fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent service, Zait Zataar has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite Mediterranean restaurants. I'll absolutely be coming back!

They are located in the Brookhurst Plaza in the Little Arabia district. There is plenty of parking out front and access is very easy. The interior is small and basic but yet warm, inviting and comfortable. They also have loggia seating outside in front of the bakery. The service is excellent and everyone is so friendly and accommodating that it feels like you are at a family gathering. They serve a vibrant mix of delicious, savory, traditional Lebanese flat breads including the "manakeesh" which comes in many different ways with Zaatar (a blend of thyme, sumac and sesame seeds), cheese, spiced meats and much more. They also serve spiced meat hand pies such as "Sfeeha and fatayer" which are small hand pies, folded into triangles or squares, typically filled with spiced ground meat, spinach, or tangy cheese. They bake the dough to a beautiful golden brown. They offer a lot more than i can list here [See full menu in photos]. They have something for everyone. They use the freshest ingredients. They prepare the dough daily. They grind the meats in house and they use nothing but Halal meats. You can taste the quality in every bite. In my opinion, it is one of the very best Middle Easter Bakeries in the USA. Delicious food, very reasonable prices and great service. I highly recommend giving Al Amir a try. The staff does a good job keeping up with everyone, and the food comes out relatively quickly even on busy days, given how many people they are serving. Their menu has a lot of photos, which helped picture what we would get. Sarma Beyti: This is largely the reason why we came to the restaurant. My girlfriend tried this dish at another restaurant years ago and wanted to try it again; while it was my first time having it. I was truly blown away with the combination of spices, tomato, and ground beef all packed together. This also came with a salad which was seasoned but leaned to a more sour taste profile. Kebab Plate: Kebab came with hummus and for the side, I decided to get some french fries. Another great dish to alternate between with the Sarma Beyti. Noteworthy to mention that Pita Bread was included, but I couldn't remember from which dish. It was great to pair with everything else! Kunafa: This was our dessert pick to wrap up the night. The server mentioned it would take about 15 minutes to make and we were good with it. Once it came out, I was impressed with how it looked. It was cheesy and not too sweet. They also gave extra syrup on the side as well. Overall, it was a very positive dining experience throughout. As the night grew, there were more parties that showed up, which added some strain to the staff. It was apparent as the server kept apologizing for their slower service, but I had completely understood. With the level of freshness from the food, you could tell everything was crafted with attention. American Express is accepted here.
