I love myself a bowl of any kind especially when they aren't afraid to load up, at the end my bowl was pretty hefty. I opted for the beef shawarma bowl with all the toppings and sauces. (though when I said I wanted everything, they did add the hummus -- which is a extra $1.50 without confirming, but it was tasty, just though they would have confirmed) Loved all the sauces (especially the garlic), and they gave me some on the side. The plate doesn't come with pita, but you can order that on the side. They didn't have an obvious place for free water, just bottled drinks you're able to order on the side. I ended up only being able to eat half the bowl, which is great for leftovers. The interior is nice, modern & industrial chic. I was a little confused on where to line up to get the food, and it was a little bit slow & not as organized (ex. my bowl didn't go down the line and workers were crossing paths with each other constantly) so it did take longer than your typical Chipotle line. Though when I walked in they did give me a sample of a falafel right away which was nice. The vegetable options are good I'm glad they offer just cucumbers and not just the cucumber and tomatoes mixed together. For the price it's good. 15 bucks plus 1.50 for a large scoop of hummus. So delicious. These guys have been here for 4 months and the food is incredible. The service is top notch, and the location is clean! I had some questions about the menu and was given clear information about the items I wanted to order. I ordered the beef shawarma wrap, which she explained wasn't on the menu yet. As I watched her prep the food I thought she could be prepping it for a magazine cover. I had her add a little hot sauce, which wasn't that hot! Ordering is done at the counter at this casual restaurant and the inside is clean with comfortable seating indoors. They offer shawarma plates, pitas, falafel and schnitzel. I went with a mixed shawarma plate. All the food served here is HALAL. Mix Shawarma Plate ($16.99 + $1.50 for hummus) - The shawarma plate came with rice, chicken and beef shawarma and fresh veggies and sides to choose from. I went with hummus, garlic sauce, spicy garlic sauce, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, tzatziki sauce, pickled onions, onions, sweet cream cabbage, mint, pickled turnips, and arugula. I also went with some tahini sauce, house sauce, and pomegranate molasses. Overall the food tasted amazing, and each ingredient was so fresh. This place in terms of quality, food, and setup reminded me of one of my favorite restaurants, Sababa Falafel, except there was no crazy line here. Was looking for some fresh food tonight for dinner and happened upon SimSim Shawarma house. I am so glad I came here, totally a hidden gem. There was not really a wait (went around 7:30). The food is so fresh and delicious. We got the 7pc falafel, grilled shawarma wrap (not featured on the menu but 10/10 recommend) and the mix shawarma plate. The wrap is literally, fresh, and delicious. The falafel was crispy and seasoned to perfection. The shawarma plate is massive! Seriously it's HEAVY. The toppings and sauces are so delicious, we opted to get all but the pickle, we did get the pickle on the wrap and it was delicious. The service was great, super friendly woman helped us. Slightly blistered, light, not thick, but still held everything together through each bite. My pita was perfectly packed. A well balanced proportion of veggies to protein ratio along with all the accompaniments. Every bite was delicious. Not a bite was missing any ingredients. End of your meal, you'll bus your tray. Tried this new spot for lunch today. Interior is super intimate/cozy with mood lighting and decor. The service was friendly, albeit severely disorganized. It took almost 30 minutes for them to help/complete 4 orders. I think they're understaffed and the staff they have may not be fully trained. The front woman was basically doing everything and the meat shaving/fryer guy looked lost and unable to help her. I got the beef shawarma plate. The meat was well seasoned, but could have used more time spinning over the flame for the crisp edges you want from shawarma. Came with a medley of fresh/acidic Mediterranean sides and rice. I walked in and was greeted by a kind gentleman (may have been the manager). The menu is simple. You choose among plates and pitas, then pick your protein, then choose among the fresh ingredients and sauces in front of you. You make it your way. I ordered the beef shawarma pita, chose my preferred ingredients, and then the flavorful, tender meat carved from the spit-roasted meat was carefully packed into the pita. It was very delicious and filling. I also ordered the fried veggies (seasoned eggplant and cauliflower). The veggies were nicely cooked, but not as crispy as expected. The gentleman (I wish I had gotten his name) also gave me a few sauces to dip in and add to my pita. For drinks, they offer some canned and bottled varieties, most of which I have never heard of, and I was intrigued. I tried the Freez Mix brand, and it was refreshing. I'll have to try another kind next time. The dining area is clean and spacious with tables and an inviting atmosphere. The staff was kind and prepared my order promptly. I can't wait to come back for another meal. The prices are a little high, but the quality is worth it. I spent $33 total for lunch. A nice treat once in a while. The food was freshly made to order, and the fries were piping hot and crispy when they came out. The food here is tasty. Not exactly the cheapest thing in the world but they do not skimp on their portions. You WILL get what you paid for. The only issue I have isn't really even an issue, but the veggies do sink all the way to the bottom of the pita and make for an unbalanced bite. Again, not an issue, I'll just mix it up next time!! A new shawarma spot just opened nearby, so I had to check it out. We arrived about five minutes before opening, and they kindly let us come in and sit while they finished getting ready. I originally wanted to try the falafel, but they told me it would take about 30 minutes to prepare. (They later apologized--the kitchen started a bit late today so the falafel wasn't ready by opening. I just happened to come on an off day :/ ). So instead, I got the fried veggie plate, which included fried cauliflower, eggplant, and fries. Note: The pita sandwiches come with hummus, but the plates don't--it's an extra $1.50. I usually go to Sababa in Stanton/Garden Grove for falafel pitas and pita sandwiches--it's been my go-to--but I think I may have found my new favorite place! The bread was incredibly fresh and delicious (they get it delivered from a bakery in Gardena every morning). My husband ordered the chicken schnitzel plate. The rice was flavorful, and the schnitzel was nicely breaded and well-seasoned. You HAVE to try their house sauce--it's kind of like a less sweet, tangier Thousand Island--and the pomegranate molasses sauce. Those sauces really make the dish. Overall, everything was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the place was very clean. I'll definitely be coming back! The only downsides: no high chairs for babies, no paper towels in the bathroom (though they do have a Dyson hand dryer), and no baby changing station. Today was a little different and what made me stop to write a review, the employee that started arranging my pita was super nice and greeted nicely me when I walked in. While him putting my pita together I could tell he's not very experienced doing that(which is perfectly fine I know how hard it is to recruit and train people) I went to the lady that is always here and mentioned to her that I feel like that pita won't stand up to her standards and I feel like I might not enjoy as much. She took over the pita immediately and made sure I get my food as I always do(amazing).
