TLDR: nice guy, nicely cooked but zero flavor and takes much too long. Was really craving Mediterranean so I came here after seeing some strong reviews. I ordered the Kufta Plate with Hummus, to go. It took a really long time even though I was the only person there. When the food came out, I asked for some Sumac. The older gentleman who brought my order out, told me that it's already incorporated and the food is seasoned to perfection so I don't need it. Great! I like the confidence! Feeling reassured and excited, I brought my Kufta Plate back to the office to eat. I dig into the food and immediately notice a complete lack of flavor or seasoning. It was so bland that I was momentarily afraid that I might have contracted Covid. I reached for the pickled turnips and peppers, I could taste those perfectly fine. They were intense, so I knew it wasn't Covid. My co-worker tried a bite and he immediately spat it out. I feel bad leaving a bad review because the guy seemed nice, but this was by far, the single worst Mediterranean food I have ever had. It's one of the worst meals I've had in general. read more

Ali can throw it down!!! That was the best Gyro I've had in LA. I would put it against anyone. The tenderness of the meat to the felices and flavors. The Taziki was so delicious. Family owned restaurants like this make's me so happy it exists and that me and my man happen to find it! The place is small but personal, it's run and owned by a father and son, the father Ali is the beautiful chef sharing the most delicious chicken and beef plates and falafels with us. The son is so friendly and sweet. Every-time I come here we always get the same thing because it's just that good! The Baklava is AMAZING not too sweet! Bless the amazing cook! Drove by this place almost everyday and finally stopped by. It is a Jordanian family owned restaurant and it really is like going to a friend's house for lunch. Got the beef and chicken kabob plate and both were great, but I preferred the beef kabob. Sad I didn't get falafel but will order that next time. Oh my God! The best falafel I have ever had! And I travel for trade shows across the country, and my regular thing is to sort yelp search for my location for 'Falafel' sorted by rating. I've had some really good falafel, but I had never had Ali's falafel! (I may be misremembering the chef/father's name) His son, Omar, is very friendly and a joy to be around. Their baklava is insane! What a delightful lunch experience. Yesterday my bestie and I went to grab a bite to eat. We like different ethnic food and family owned vibes and this was just that. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a gentleman named Omar who is the son of the chef Ali. He chatted us up about various topics and shared different experiences cultural and otherwise with us. Him and his dad were both so pleasant and easy to talk to. I ordered the falafel combo and my friend got the beef kufta. Both dishes were delicious and well priced. Ali sure can cook! I stopped in after finding this hidden gem on apple maps while in the area looking for a snack for my hour and a half long drive home to LA. Ali and his son (I think he said he was his son, I forgot to get his name) were incredibly kind and welcoming right from the start. They didn't have any grape leaves left but gave me the very last one they had for free. That one grape leave and the falafel they recommended me was the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. Small unassuming shop sells the most incredible falafel you have ever tried. I was not a fan of falafel for a long time (most are dry and crumbly) but recently had their falafel sandwich and OH MY GOODNESS, it was amazing! The falafel was crispy on the outside and almost fluffy like on the inside with just the right amount of spice. The falafel sandwich with the garlic sauce and hot sauce was amazing. Service was friendly with a smile and the value is A+. I highly recommend dropping in and trying this place if you haven't already.
