We were only 2 there (1pm- ish) and greeted by a very sweet woman, the owner. Menu looked different and it all sounded good. Ordered to share: Crispy roll Greatest Eggplant Tofu (fried tofu) Kind Vegetables Paradise Tangy Orange O.M.G. the flavors were so good! The crispy roll was not oily, crispy outside, tender inside. The eggplant was in a light sauce, tofu perfectly lightly fried. Rice was simple, the salad was light, & refreshing. Kind Vegetables had different soy protein and tofu. The "beef" was WOW! Veggies were cooked to just that bite, and she said all ingredients were organic as much as possible. Bigger flavors too. Then that Paradise Tangy Orange chikn came- seriously sweet, spicy, tangy, bits of pineapple & sweet peppers. You can taste the love in every bite! Heads up to anyone who loved the old Loving Hut in Orange--it's under new ownership (same team as Sun Vegan in Fountain Valley), and things have definitely changed. We used to come just for the jackfruit salad and spicy cha cha. The flavors were so refreshing and satisfying--nothing else quite hit the same. Since the new owners took over, the menu's been totally revamped. It's still all vegan, but the unique character and charm of the original menu are gone. They also push the Supreme Master message a lot more now, and it can feel a bit much while you're trying to eat. So yeah, the food's still healthy and plant-based, but if you're hoping for the old Loving Hut experience, just know it's a different vibe now. read more

Wow! I just visited under new management and the food is incredibly tasty. More delicious than I remember. The owner (I presumed) is so sweet and passionate about the food and overall veganism. The restaraunt is a take-out spot for now but you still have the option to dine in. Menu seems to still be building, but the vegan burger and chow mein are worth trying for now! The burger has no after taste and is made with a soft bun and served with a super green side salad. It didn't even need ketchup! I got so excited to dig in I forgot to take a picture before almost being half way done. Chow mein had amazing tofu and tofu beef, with perfectly steamed veggies and taste, not too salty or old. I am a huge Loving Hut fan. But this recent visit left me scratching my head in confusion... I ordered some chow mein with vegan beef. The chow mein arrived hard and dry. It was weird. I was so confused. Do I need to cook this on the stove? How do I eat this lol I've never ordered chow mein and had it arrive hard and dry like that. My fiancé suggested putting it in a big bowl and mixing it with the sauce. The sauce was pretty soupy so we figured it would soften then noodles? Maybe? I don't know. Did that and it was still crispy chow mein. I left the chow mein sit in that bowl for 30 minutes so that it would soften the chow mein noodles. Finally, they were edible. But the meal was super salty. Major fail. The chow mein not being prepared already was a huge hassle. And the sauce was way too salty. Just a huge bummer. read more

CLOSED!! We used to frequent this place regularly before the pandemic. During the pandemic we ordered via food delivery services a few times and it was ok, but became increasingly lackluster. Chalked that up to food not being served right away. We came a few more times after the Pandemic lifted and it just wasn't as tasty as it used to be and also started feeling like like they let things go. Our most recent trip here was probably 8 months ago and you could tell their business has declined. Fast forward to yesterday they appear to have changed management and/or folded. Based on recent reviews, it seems they changed the menu and went cash only. I'm really disappointed they didn't update their business listing and we drove out of our way to dine here. It's not the same Loving Hut after new management took over. Half of the menu is gone, no more cakes, and dishes are vastly different. If you've ever been to Sun Vegan, it's similar to their food. Each dish has the same components of spinach, carrots, cabbage and picked cucumber, and lemongrass meat/tofu which makes every dish taste like each other. The food isn't bad, but as a long time customer who enjoyed the previous menu (udon soup was my favorite), I expected the dishes to stay the same and have the unique flavors I enjoyed. They only accept cash or Venmo, which is a bit inconvenient but they mentioned they're fixing that soon. They aren't on food delivery app and aren't receiving calls either so ordering ahead is also not an option. She went above and beyond to help us, our baby fell asleep in the car so she served us in our car . Her service alone was enough for us to come back when we are in the area, the food was a bonus. I came in to have lunch. Here was almost 1 o'clock in the afternoon and there was two people in there. They did not greet me. They did not say hello. They did not even ask for anything. I was looking at the menu for literally almost 10 minutes and no one came out to say hello and I guess they don't want my business. They must have enough business so I'm gonna look for other places in the area. Are there any recommendations in the city of Orange where people are not gonna act that way, and treat people bad also they're placed didn't even look that clean. I only had enough for pho and sadly no appetizer. I let the cashier/server know and she was so sweet! She gave me a discounted price and threw extra vegetables in. I'm so grateful! She didn't need to do that but you can tell she genuinely cares about her customers! So I got the mushroom pho and it was exactly what I needed! Wanting to find some healthy food options on a friend date, a friend of mine said the Loving Hut was the perfect place! Looking at the menu made me excited since alot of dishes were either Thai, Vietnamese, Korean or Chinese inspired. Everything is vegan and although I'm not vegan it did make me seriously consider it. Everything we had was delicious and didn't make me miss the taste of meat at all! I ordered the BBQ noodle dish($13.99) and the rose lemonade ($5.50) the bbq noodle dish had crispy rolls, rice noodles and the soy protein reminded me of Korean bbq short ribs. My friends got the pad Thai ($13.99), spring rolls ($7.50), and the spicy cha cha ($13.99). They loved their food and there was no leftovers! We also ordered dessert to share. I ordered the mango guava cheesecake ($5.50) and my friends got the pandan leaf cake and the double layer chocolate cake (each $6.50). My favorite of the three was the cheesecake, then the chocolate and lastly the pandan. They were all a bit less sweet being vegan but all still had good flavor. We just missed the lunch crowd and so we had the corner area to ourselves and it was very quiet inside but it's normally a lot busier for lunch and dinner time. Our server Chi was such a sweet lady! She kept checking up on us, made great suggestions on what to try and was just very engaging and made us feel very comfortable. I love that they add sliced pickles for the perfect snap of flavor. The lettuce, tomato, and avocado are always perfectly fresh. Delicious fries too! Their chocolate cake is soooo good! Very soft with fluffy chic whipped cream frosting. They add toasted coconut and chopped walnuts to the top and it almost gives a German chocolate cake vibe.
