Athletic non-alcoholic beer: Free Wave Hazy IPA
    Joyce D.

Met up with a few friends at Hangar 24 Craft Brewing while we were in town, and this place was popping! There was a live band, tons of outdoor seating, and such a fun, lively atmosphere. It's also super kid-friendly, there's a basketball half court that the kids loved (even in the heat!), plus a little garden area with a chicken, which was a cute surprise. For food, we got the corn dogs, and they were definitely not your typical mini ones as they are thick, hearty, and wrapped in bacon. The corn batter was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which made them really satisfying. Service is quick and the staff are very helpful with recommendations. My spouse and I both had the Athletic non-alcoholic beer, and it was super refreshing, exactly what we needed on a hot day. Our friends ordered wings, fries, and burgers, and everything looked solid and well portioned. This is a great spot for groups and gatherings, especially if you want a mix of good food, drinks, and space to hang out!

This is a hidden gem behind a large corporate building. There is a good variety of beers and seltzers. There are also cocktail options, however, I thought they seemed too expensive especially when it's being served in plastic due to the outdoor activity. What I like about this spot is there is a large grass outdoor area where they have live bands and some nights do trivia. There's also a coffee station but I haven't gotten a chance to try it due to limited hours. I recently tried the buffalo wings which I liked, as well as the Arctic Seltzer!

Visited Hangar 24 for the first time today. It was pretty chill. They had an event going on. Ordered food at the bar and picked it up inside. Good food, easy menu, self-serve water station. Waiters will bring your food out if you use the QR code on the table to place your order. Large grass areas for kids to play.

First of all, the menu item names here are a work of art in and of themselves, being aviation-themed and everything!! ;)) Definitely a huge draw for aviation geeks and fans, as a spot to grab some food. There are a nice variety of options to choose from, including salads and bowls as well as burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and much more. There are also a ton of drinks to choose from for those who are into drinks. I got the Swiss Mushroom Cloud Burger with a truffle fries upgrade, and I must say that I should stop ordering burgers at restaurants because it's always too much for me and I'd have done better choosing something less heavy! But, the truffle fries were awesome and I loved eating quite a few pieces along with the ranch dip and tasty ketchup they came with. The staff were really personable, helpful, kind, and great at customer service in general - it's really awesome when the people at a restaurant are helping its cause like the staff here do!! The vibe is really cool too, and I especially love the wall board that features first responder/police badges from all around OC, as I'm an even bigger police fan than I am an aviation fan, and that's not a trivial statement! Parking is validated free for 3 hours as long as you keep the ticket from the machine and remember to let one of the staff members at the restaurant validate it for you. Overall, a really cool place - health-conscious women may want to avoid the burgers and opt for something less heavy, though!

Brewery with a large outdoor area for lounging with a beer and enjoying the vibes. Parking at Hanger 24 in Irvine is a bit strange. Showing up at this location may seem like you're at a large corporate building. There's a structure and parking lot, and you can have your parking validated at the brewery. There's also a small number of 1 hour parking spots outside of the paid parking lot. Beer here is just fine. Hanger 24 is well known for their Orange Wheat, but they have a bunch of other beer too like their Betty IPA, and Chocolate Bomber stout that they've been serving up for over a decade. Good consistent beers. This isn't just beer, they have food and mixed drinks too. Service here is pretty fair, even with the large outdoor area they support. They also have a lot of events over the course of the week. PROPS: Large location great for meet ups or just soaking in vibes. SLOPS: Parking can be confusing if you don't know where to go.

The food here was really good, came here to celebrate a birthday. Drink choices such as beer and alcohol were good as well, offering candy shots and other options. I will say the only and main downside is that it's really messy and it wasn't really consistent of cleanliness. It was a very busy day, but it just was kind of dirty and messy in terms of open tables and such. They have a live band and the atmosphere is fun though.

I ordered the Smoke Jumper BBQ Burger, Buffalo Wings, and Pineapple Margarita The burger was very good! It was a nice size, fries came out hot and crispy and everything had great flavor. I would highly recommend any burger here. The Buffalo wings were good, nice sized wings with plenty of meat; however, these were pretty dry and needed a lot more sauce. They also only gave me one ranch for all of these wings. I would recommend the wings if you get a dry rub like lemon pepper. There is a great variety of drinks here, but they only sell two seltzer options. The beers and margaritas are great here. The staff are friendly and helpful, the ambiance is very casual , I would definitely recommend to come here.

One staff member was nice to our large corporate group and overall you can tell they are very good at hosting large groups. The rest of the other staff were OK. Food was good and I appreciate the one staff member going across to the other bar to make my amaretto sour. Definitely recommend for your next corporate happy hour or just happy hour in general

We stopped in for lunch and I am glad that we did! We ordered at the bar and it was an easy process! The employee was kind and patient! We weren't sure what we wanted so it took us a little to order. We ordered the caprese flatbread, the pulled pork sandwich and teriyaki bowl! All of the dishes were delicious! They have awesome sitting outside and inside! This place is great for groups! You can also sit outside and order from the tables by using the QR code on the tables!

This is a good spot close to our house to go grab a beer. We came on Saturday night and they had live music in the courtyard which was a lot of fun. Beer is always good here as well. I haven't gotten to trying their food yet, so I'll have to leave another review after this. Service is okay, and the bathrooms can get a little rough, but overall a great spot to grab a beer and hang with some friends!

    Mango Island - loved it!

H24 is always a bit hectic but in a mostly good-ish ways....never boring. Parking is validated (free) but packed on busy nights and in & out can be a bit of a jungle. Ok people have your ticket ready, insert and move on. Ordering line can be long...but a person may sneak up to you with a POS terminal in line, oh crap decision time before in can see the menu, let's go! I'll take the ahhh, oh wait, what is food stall. I clumsily ordered the NashV hot chic Sando when I asked NV or burger and he said shootout Nash at Burg..... Too funny. Also "upgraded" from fries to Caesar. Ok people...we all know salad is a downgrade from fries but we do it for the bod . Shouldn't we get a & credit (-) vs up charge $$. I know life's not fair, health usually costs more. Oh...wait I ordered the Nashville hot chicken Sando...erase my virtue signaling comment above. That said, paprika spiced well, not too hot, juicy/oily and nice crisp on Brioche bun YUM. Wash a bite down with a sip of Mango Island beer and bam - delicious! Ordering tip: monitor your phone as they call you (NO text) when your order is ready for pick up at a weirdly placed EZ UP outside. Oh damn, my iPhone is set to spam call block mode so no ring for #s not in my contacts. Thus my food got lost in La La land for 10-15 but technically that's on me. Sando still great. BEST part and why we chose this place was for the "communal" seating. You can hang for a while and not have a wait staff giving you the evil eye ! Hang @24 but be alert and enjoy!

This place is strict about no outside food. My 2 year old has food allergies and they would not allow us to bring in food for him. Their kitchen was backed up and they had a sign posted saying food orders would be an hour wait also. Thankfully the staff "allowed" us to bring in milk for my son. Just keep this in mind if you come here with kids.

This place is awesome. It has the best aesthetics and it's so inviting! Hangar 24's management in Irvine, CA is ran so smoothly and everything is perfect and made well. I love to spend time inside of the indoor area and the outdoor area. They have an @open.micnightzzz on Mondays where you can bring whatever need and they also provide a stage on the weekends. This space is very fun to spend time with family and friends and it's all ages because it is a brewery. They have an outdoor area that is so fun to hang out and they even have a basketball court. I come here and I experience the best service from Nikki, Frank, Ryan, and Matt. He is so kind and he is aware of what drinks that taste good and what you enjoy.

Is there a separate space/room for groups to reserve?

Hi there ! I don't think so . What know is that can reserved a table .

What's the parking situation like? And how much is parking?

There's 1 hour free parking for visitors, if there's any open spot you can park in them. Buy food and drinks from Hangar and you get free parking otherwise, you'll have to pay depending on how long you stay.

So, are dogs currently allowed or not?

There is a wide open area outside with seating and dogs are definitely allowed there

Can I bring my teen for the evening?

Yes, its a good place for everyone. A lot of space and live music ( most of the time ) . Food, drinks and good vibes.

Do they play nfl games anywhere?

    Yes

I love the idea of our grandson getting to run around, but do they have high chairs available for mealtime?

Yes we have a few available.

Dog friendly? Especially for ESA animals!

Yes, completely friendly to dogs.Large outside patio areas. Lots of dogs hanging out. Not sure about inside ordering.

There used to be Happy Hour at Hangar 24. Is there still Happy Hour? And if so, what are the times on the weekdays?

So Fridays are now ruined? Got it

    Are dogs allowed?

Not sure about inside but they have plenty of patio and outdoor seating.

Is the Hanger 21 and over?

We are family friendly, all ages.

Can you bring your own bottles of wine or bubbly?

No outside food or beverage is permitted.

    Do they serve Bloody Mary?

My recollection is they do not.

    Is there happy hour?

Used to be. My Fridays will never be the same. Guess I'll Take my business elsewhere

Gluten free menu available? What are the best gluten free options?

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor area?

There's a sign that says no dogs allowed. The first time I brought my dog nobody said anything to me but the second time I brought my dog, staff told us that dogs aren't allowed so we left.

    Is there a smoking section?

    Not on premise.

What is vegan on the menu?

The impossible tacos are vegan, and they're pretty delicious :)

Is there a charge to for live music Friday? If so, how much?

There's usually not unless posted otherwise for said act or gig.

Are there TVs for college football besides the two at the bar?

they have a larger screen out in the patio, not the best place to watch sports IMO.

Is there trivia night here? If so, when?

I can't remember the exact beer I ordered, but it was a light, fruity, crisp beer that I enjoyed. In terms of variety, the brewery seemed to focus more on lighter and hoppier beers. There weren't many IPA options or darker beers available. The smash burgers were delicious. I ordered the original smash burger and it definitely did not disappoint. I feel like a lot of places offer smash burgers nowadays but don't execute them well -- either you can't taste the beef or they overload it with cheese and sauce. Here, everything felt balanced. The beef had a great grilled crispiness to it, and the flavors all came through nicely. The tater tots were also really good, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Parking can be a bit difficult. They share a small lot with other businesses, so it fills up quickly. You'll probably need to find street parking nearby, and there isn't a ton of it available either.

The texture was good juicy enough, cooked properly yet the flavor didn't quite punch the way you expect from a brewery burger. It needed more salt, maybe a stronger sear, maybe even a blend with a bit more fat to bring depth. Right now, it tastes safe. And a place known for bold craft beer shouldn't serve a safe burger. The cheese and toppings carried more personality than the beef did. Every bite had balance, but not enough edge. A sharper cheddar, a house-made sauce with some acidity, or even a slightly more aggressive seasoning profile would elevate it from "good" to "I'm coming back for this." That said, it's not a bad burger. It's dependable. It just hasn't stepped fully into its potential. In a brewery setting where flavor is the brand, the cheeseburger should taste like it belongs next to a flagship IPA not like it's auditioning for it. Room for improvement? Definitely. My favorite shout out dishes have to be the Kayseri Mantisi, Wagyu Flake Steak, World Peace Burger, and Sour Patch Melon. These flavors are incredibly complex yet complement each other so wonderfully and every bite is heavenly. There are so many other dishes I tried and each deserves its own shoutout, but these mentioned above blew my mind away. Should I have another chance to come by, I definitely will take it up! The menu rotates and there are always new items that pop up so it will always be a new experience each time. Thank you to all the DTTN staff and members who assisted us with such a beautiful night out.

At the bar we had the opportunity to explain flavors and preferences and got our minds blown by some of their creations that they make specifically for you. The chef talks to you about the menu and all you can feel is how much he loves what he does. Elijah and the entire team are so warm, so accommodating. Their lounge is tastefully decorated and adorned with several fun coffee table books. We spotted the death & co cocktail book :D You learn about their reason for going the membership only route and it makes sense. It's a wonderful space, and we're hopeful to return one day.

The IPAs were excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and well-crafted. Great variety, too. Whether you like something hazy and juicy or a more classic, hop-forward profile, they've got you covered. Everything I tried was balanced and easy to drink. The bartender was fantastic -- knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely engaging without being over the top. You can tell they care about what they're pouring and about the people sitting at the bar. The overall vibe is just right -- a chill environment where you can relax, have a real conversation, and enjoy quality beer without any pretense. I ended up having some great conversations with good people, which made the stop even better. If you're in Orange County and appreciate solid IPAs and a laid-back atmosphere, this place is absolutely worth a visit. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

"Busy weekend" said the bar keep. "No excuse for this. Total fail," thinks I. The guava beer was ok. Just ok. Apparently that's their best. Would be totally happy if a decent sports bar moved in here.
