To the Management Team at Hangar 24, I wanted to share some feedback regarding the recent changes to your live entertainment format. For years, Hangar 24 has been a place where families can gather, enjoy great food and drinks, listen to live music, and allow their children to safely play and have fun. It has created a welcoming environment that appeals to a broad audience, and that family-friendly atmosphere is one of the reasons so many people continue to return. Last night, however, I noticed a significant change that concerned me. Instead of having the live band perform earlier in the evening, a DJ played first and the band performed much later. Many people, including myself, came specifically to enjoy the live band, and the new format seemed confusing to much of the crowd. As I observed throughout the evening, very few people were dancing during the DJ set. Most guests remained seated, looking uncertain about the change. In addition, some of the music selections and volume level felt inappropriate for a venue that attracts so many families with young children. I noticed several children covering their ears, and many parents appeared uncomfortable. From my perspective, Hangar 24's customer base is largely made up of families. Those families purchase food, drinks, and often stay for several hours while their children enjoy the outdoor space. By scheduling the live band later in the evening, many parents are forced to leave before the performance begins because their children are tired or it is simply too late for a family outing. If the goal is to attract a younger nightlife crowd, a better approach might be to have the live band perform earlier in the evening when families are present and then transition to a DJ later at night for guests who prefer that atmosphere. This would allow both audiences to enjoy the venue without alienating the families who have supported Hangar 24 for years. I am sharing this feedback because I genuinely enjoy coming to Hangar 24 and want to see it continue to succeed. Walking distance from my hotel and a place I had on my list to try, my coworkers and I were able to enjoy a beautiful evening out for dinner and a drink. Located in a business center, the space is huge and perfect for the solo patron or being the whole family to let the kids run around the open grassy area. I love the theme of the place and the fact they also themed the names of menu items!! We picked up our beers and ordered dinner pretty fast. The menu was amazing and had all kinds of options available. I ordered the Korean Demilitarization Zone Pork Tacos. 3 decently sized tacos, extremely filling and paired great with my beer. Great place to hang out, grab a bite and a drink! Lots of parking, just need to get your ticket validated. Came on a Friday night and there was live music! However it was extremely crowded and needed seats to open up (All tables are first come first serve, but you can call in and make a reservation for 20+ people). The beers and drinks are really good! They also have a full bar so you can order cocktails and shots as well. I will take off a star because the food is decent, ordered the smash burger and carne asada fries. Burger was good but nothing to write home about, came with fries. I do like that they have a wide menu for food, the carne asada fries didn't hit, I do recommend the burgers, but I would definitely come back to try another dish. Met up with a few friends at Hangar 24 Craft Brewing while we were in town, and this place was popping! There was a live band, tons of outdoor seating, and such a fun, lively atmosphere. It's also super kid-friendly, there's a basketball half court that the kids loved (even in the heat!), plus a little garden area with a chicken, which was a cute surprise. For food, we got the corn dogs, and they were definitely not your typical mini ones as they are thick, hearty, and wrapped in bacon. Nice brewery with fun things to look at around the property, like parakeets, garden, small putting green, basketball court, and live music on the day we went. Such a cool outdoor area for a brewery. I've only been to the main Hangar 24 in the Inland Empire many, many years ago, but this was my first time at their newer location in Irvine. It actually may not be that new, but new to me! What's funny is that I used to work in the building that it's behind. It was Washington Mutual. I did notice they removed the beautiful sculpture that used to be in the area, but it's still lovely. They do have happy hour and what I was impressed with was, they have cocktails too! Meaning not just beer, hard alcohol and wine too. Parking is easy, but it's paid parking. I went for a work event so parking was validated for us, so not sure how much it is. First of all, the menu item names here are a work of art in and of themselves, being aviation-themed and everything!! ;)) Definitely a huge draw for aviation geeks and fans, as a spot to grab some food. I got the Swiss Mushroom Cloud Burger with a truffle fries upgrade, and I must say that I should stop ordering burgers at restaurants because it's always too much for me and I'd have done better choosing something less heavy! But, the truffle fries were awesome and I loved eating quite a few pieces along with the ranch dip and tasty ketchup they came with. The staff were really personable, helpful, kind, and great at customer service in general - it's really awesome when the people at a restaurant are helping its cause like the staff here do!! Showing up at this location may seem like you're at a large corporate building. There's a structure and parking lot, and you can have your parking validated at the brewery. There's also a small number of 1 hour parking spots outside of the paid parking lot. Beer here is just fine. Hanger 24 is well known for their Orange Wheat, but they have a bunch of other beer too like their Betty IPA, and Chocolate Bomber stout that they've been serving up for over a decade. Good consistent beers. This isn't just beer, they have food and mixed drinks too. Service here is pretty fair, even with the large outdoor area they support. There are also cocktail options, however, I thought they seemed too expensive especially when it's being served in plastic due to the outdoor activity. It's a very spacious, outdoor area with different sections for the bars. There is one are that is indoors but it is small. Pick any open table and you can scan to order your drinks and food. I would highly recommend any burger here. The Buffalo wings were good, nice sized wings with plenty of meat; however, these were pretty dry and needed a lot more sauce. They also only gave me one ranch for all of these wings. I would recommend the wings if you get a dry rub like lemon pepper. The preschool moms wanted to grab some food, get the kids together after the science fair, and relax. So we packed it up and chose a few tables outside to enjoy the live music and let the kids run around. They had lots of kid friendly food options, juice boxes, and a variety of options for adults. The huge grassy area was perfect to run our group of feral boys around to tire them out before bed. My kiddo loved the cheese pizza and it's a pretty decently sized flatbread style. The chicken strips and fries is similarly a big portion. I enjoyed the Caesar salad. The food tasted fresh and came out fast. This place is kind of hidden between couple of corporate looking buildings in the downtown Irvine area, so you may not know it's there if you're not looking for it. You have to pay to park in the nearby lot, but they validate parking so it's not a problem. I came here fairly late one night to meet up with some coworkers, so I didnt get to try their food menu.
