GameCraft Brewing provides a fun place for game enthusiasts to gather. There was a variety of drink options to choose from - beers, wines, soda, water. There was also bottled drinks like tea in a glass container behind the bar area. The food was decent pub food. There was plenty of parking. I liked that they had board games and pinball machines available. I had an enjoyable time here. The downsides were that the place was a bit small and hot during the summer with only fans running. Drinks: I like drinks on the sweeter side. The bartender was nice and let me try different flavors to pick what I like. * Seltzer - Baja Blast 5/5 - Good sweet drink that didn't feel like I'm drinking alcohol. * Ube Painkilla 3.5/5 - Pretty drink, light purple. A bit sweet, but had a cough syrup aftertaste. * Cider drink 4/5 - Kinda like an apple cider drink, but more beer-y. * Soju Cocktail - Didn't get this. I thought it'd be sweet from the online menu. Apparently it has a ginger and serrano chili pepper taste, so not what I wanted. FOOD: * BBQ Wings 4/5 - Juicy and flavorful wings. * Lemon Pepper Wings 3/5 - Not bad, but kinda dry and really sour. * Cesar Salad 4/5 - Who orders salad for a game night? Jk. It was actually pretty good. Plenty of dressings and shaved cheese on top. * Pretzel Bites 3.5/5 - Dense pretzel bread bites with sea salt on top. * Flatbread 3.5/5 - Flatbread okay. Ours came with shredded pork on top that was kinda dry and had no flavor. * Fried Wonton 2/5 - Crispy wontons filled with cream cheese. This was a place I really wanted to give five stars. I'll still keep it close, but just a couple things may keep me from getting there. First, the ambiance is awesome for the most part. From the decorations throughout, to their clearly themed beer names, to the wooden triforce beer flight case, it was a really cool ambiance. The experience ordering the food and drinks (wait in line and order both at the bar) was good. Person who took our order was very patient with our questions and special requests. The food itself was also pretty good. Got a flatbread pizza that was really tasty. Wife got a salad with pulled pork and soft tacos. I don't remember the meats but they came with a huge portion. Beers were pretty good as well. The only issues we had were that the inside was REALLY loud. We were fortunately able to find outside seating and the weather was cooperative. Other issue was that the lady who brought out the food was kind of cranky. She had a flatbread pizza and I didn't know if it was for us (I thought she had called for my order number). I asked and she told me it wasn't but acted like I was an a-hole for asking. The pizza did come out quickly. The only problem was my wife had to wait an extra 10 or 15 minutes for her food, and basically had to watch me eat before it got cold. Upon walking in, the space is great. There were several parties going on, tables reserved for later parties, but still plenty of tables to sit at. They have a good selection of beers for everyone and also a kitchen that serves up food. The food is what's bringing the rating down. The fries were ok. Not my type of consistency in fries. It was salted and peppered fine as my kids gobbled them up when they are typically appalled by peppered fries. The chicken quesadilla was very eh also. Great portion. But it's shredded chicken and it was very watery. Salsa was good. My favorite beers were the Los santos and the Ube Painkilla. read more

We went to gamecraft about an hour after it opened. It was a little crowded and they were already out burger patties. Unfortunately, we didn't find this out until after we ordered them. Not sure how this happened so fast after opening. The staff was kind enough to come over to our table and let us know and provide us some different entree options. The real big kicker here is that it's $6 for a diet Coke. To me, that is simply unacceptable. Nearly the same price as a draft beer? That's ridiculous. I've been meaning to come here for awhile and finally got the chance. We came on a day where they had game night and it was pretty fun. There were a bunch of people participating in the trivia questions. There was a range of age group from younger to older. We ordered the food at the front and they gave us a number to take with us so that the server could locate us. The nachos could have used more cheese and the serrano peppers were spicy! Almost too spicy. The fried wontons were okay, it wasn't what I was expecting but it was edible. When I go next time, I think I'll try the chicken wings, smashburger, or a flatbread. My friend recommended we meet up here and I wasn't expecting much! They allowed us to sample quite a few different drinks until we decided what to get. We ordered fries with hyperspice and the soju cocktail. Another table donated their burger to us and we gladly accepted it. I am normally not a fries person, but I couldn't stop eating them. The burger was smash style and so delicious! There were diced raw onions, but that didn't stop me from devouring it. The seasonal soju cocktail is sex on the beach inspired and has some Sunny D, topo chico, and cranberry juice. It didn't even taste like alcohol. The ambiance was nice. There was cute theming from the menu to the bathrooms. The games were plentiful and well used. There seemed to be a lot of friend groups and dates here. The staff were patient and friendly. We threw my son's first birthday at this venue, and the coordinator, MJ, was excellent in assisting us with the process every step of the way. With around 100+ guests, helping us remain within our budget on alcohol and food, and keeping the food coming and organized on the day of is no easy feat. Kudos to MJ for all of her help. The venue is great for all ages. While the party was to celebrate our son, it was also a victory lap for us parents for surviving his first year of life - we def had to celebrate with drinks and their selection of beers and wines were great for us and our guests. There's games for kids and adults to enjoy, and plenty of space for us to set up a dessert table and Photo Booth. We even were given the option to play our own music but we forgot about our playlist with everything else that we had going on. We tried looking at other breweries in the area and even community centers for throwing our party, but this one beat everyone out with their well priced and all-in-one selection of food and alcohol and games on site for everyone to enjoy. A hidden *Gem* At first glance, what seems to be just another brewery inside of a random strip mall at the back of an industrial quarter fosters quality unparalleled to any other brewery in Orange County from the brew to the vibes. We went for a trivia night (reservation required) and there were quite a few people there, but everyone had their own assigned table which was nice. They'e starting to do more pop culture related trivia like a Harry Potter and SpongeBob trivia event, so definitely stop by and give them a try. As for the food, I had the pretzel bites, spinach and cheese empanadas, and vegetable egg rolls. I would say the pretzel bites were my favorite and the marina sauce is yummy. The ambiance depends on the day and time you're there. I was there with my partner, and his colleagues on a Saturday, July 1st to be specific at around 4:30 ish and it was pretty mellow and relaxing. Once it was 6 p.m. it got busy and the ambiance became more lively and busy. The area is spacious and their female restroom was clean and glamorous with its circular bright light. I had the mango nectarine PSI blast (Sour - Berliner Weisse) on 3/5. We also had their fries 2.5/5. They have trivia nights on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and reservations are available but walk-ins are welcomed. Early arrival is recommended. Mad props to the guy at the cash register that took our orders since he handled the long lines calmly and effectively. The rest of the staff was nice and ensured to pick up the glasses etc and asked if we needed anything. They were attentive. I recommend it to all beer enthusiasts, especially if you have not checked it out. read more

I know that this is a popular brew pub, but it wasn't my cup of tea. Hubby & I went on a Friday night and it was crowded, busy and loud. It's certainly not GameCraft's fault that I'm old and don't enjoy that type of loud environment, but I can see how it'd be fun for the younger crowd, as they have lots of board games, trivia, live music, etc. They're located in the Laguna Hills Commerce Center with plenty of parking available. Basically you order at the cashier and they ring your buzzer when your order is ready. They have two fairly large rooms with tables, and I was thankful for that as the 2nd room was far less crowded and hubby & I could actually hear each other talk. I typically go for dark beers when I'm at a brew pub but unfortunately GameCraft did not have a wide selection of dark beers. In fact, I think there was only one, which is the one I got: "There Is No Cow Level", an Imperial-Style Coffee Milk Stout with 9.0% ABV. The price seemed rather high to me at $9.50 for a tulip glass. The good news is that the beer was very good, so no complaints there. The food was also surprisingly delicious. I don't usually expect much from a brew pub, but I ordered their Angus Super Cheeseburger Smash, which comes with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles, Bot Sauce & Cheese for $11. I also added Tater Bots for $3. Everything was very tasty and the prices were reasonable. read more

We played a tabletop card game while having some beer and snacks. The service was good. The food itself is better than a lot of other breweries I've gone to where food was an afterthought. The only problem was how pricy the food was. I think next time if I go I'll just eat in advance and plan to get a beer or two there only. I want to love it. I love games, comedy, trivia, and drinks, so I want to keep coming back in the hopes I love it. But it was meh. We arrived at 8:30-9 pm on a Saturday night which I would say is a reasonable time to go out for drinks at a brewery. There was trivia going on but people didn't seem as energetic as I imagined. We ordered some drinks. The service was ok. The cashier looked annoyed but he rang us up quick and got us our drinks. We took a seat to play a game. I think they could have used more signage about the games. The shelves with games were messy and it was unclear what their procedure was. We took a game and it was missing pieces. We picked a different game and got to playing. As we were playing, it cleared out very quick and we noticed that they close at 10 pm on Saturday night. I'm sure they have their reasons but it's hard to have this be the go to bar when they close so early. Pricing seemed ok for drinks but high for food. But they have a late night happy hour (after 8 pm) that we took advantage of. We'll try again but I expected it to have a really lively vibe and it didn't. read more

They have games you can use and the big are in the back is a natural kids friendly area! They also have benches outside and seating in the main first room which is the more particular area. Stumbled upon this place by driving down the 5 freeway. Cool little spot inside. Not sure what kind of food genre this place is as it had American but seemed to also be fused with Japanese flavors as well. Ordered a beer and a mixed drink both were good. Not great but good. Ordered the pretzel bites with a butter garlic, Parmesan and parsley flavor with a side of beer cheese. Well that's where it got me. It took literally 30 minutes for me to receive them which was because I think they forgot about us. Until I mentioned something in passing, which they must have overheard. And the fact that one lady asked me twice about my order. And then to top it off it was the wrong order. They gave me the salted pretzel bites. But instead of remaking them correctly, they gave me those and then tossed them in the butter garlic, parsley and Parmesan mix. Which, when I got them back, there was no flavor to the bites and they looked super sad. Also, in the photo that one pretzel bite was a heap of salt just caked onto it because of the butter it was not ideal because I thought I was going to enjoy the only pretzel bite with Parmesan on it. Lastly, save your $3 for the beer flavored cheese unless you're looking for the world smallest side of cheese that tasted super peppery. Very sad about the experience. read more

The lines are long and can take time to move since they usually only have one person at register. The workers are rushing to get everything done and seemed a bit fussy that we ordered food.
