This restaurant has no business being as phenomenal as it is. Ive had yard house several times and it's always good but this was next level. Service was great, ambiance was fun but holy cow the food was unreal. My husband got a Daura Damm gluten free beer that was delicious. I started with a side salad that had the best vinaigrette dressing ever. THEN our main course was amazing- pineapple chicken was so moist and the pineapple and broccoli could not be more perfect. My husband got a carne asada taco & birria tacos and literally ordered more they were so good. You won't find a better meal at this price than yard house. Expect a long wait whenever there is a decent game on. Come here pretty often as there aren't many sports bars in Irvine, but everyone's got the same idea. Happy Hour is a great deal but if you miss it (which will most likely happen when there's a game on) the normal menu is overpriced for what you get. Got the poke salad, small portion size and cost me $25. Did have to wait a bit for the food as well. The service is good most of the time and they allow you to split by item which makes going with a group easy. After a fun morning and afternoon watching professional pickleball at Lifetime in San Clemente, my eldest daughter and I went to Irvine Spectrum for dinner at Yard House (YH). We had a couple Darden gift cards to use up so here we are for the dine-in experience. Parking was a bit challenging as everyone wanted to be at Irvine Spectrum at the same time as us, but we got lucky to snatch a spot. Thank you! YH was nearby so it was less than a few minutes walk from parking to restaurant. We were greeted with a smile upon entry. They were pretty busy, but we got lucky to be seated right away. Thank you again! Nolan, Claire, and Jeff (our servers) were super friendly and amazing in their presence and service. They got our foods and drinks to us timely and checked up on us from time to time. Thank you all for the exceptional service from beginning to end! Now for the food... My 3 mix & match tacos with spicy rice and pinto beans did not impress unfortunately. Cumin Chili Shrimp was tasty, but it lacked substance... it needed more veggies or something. Beer-Battered Fish was the best taco out of the 3 even though I didn't care for the sriracha aioli as it had a strong flavor that I can't describe... huge fish filet though. Vampire Carnitas had flavorful pork, but its exterior was fried with cheese or something that made it a salty taco. Rice is labeled spicy, but it's not spicy at all... pretty bland. Pinto beans were okay... nothing special. Hence, 4 stars! My daugther got the Whisky Glazed Salmon with tomato bisque as an add-on. WOW, black pepper glazed salmon was out of this world delicious! Parmesan mashed potatoes were delightfully smooth. Roasted carrots and baby broccoli were tenderly sweet. Tomato bisque was perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend plate and add-on! I should have gotten an order of this salmon plate instead of the tacos. Next time I know better. I couldn't help myself and order more food... - Truffled Mushroom Pizza was nicely done. Love the truffle flavor and aromatic mushrooms. Very tasty and would get again. - Onion Ring Tower fell short unfortunately with its flat and non-crispy batter. It came with two different dips... light ranch and honey mustard I think. Tower presentation was impressive though... it gets an A+ for appeal! I'll pass on this next time though. - Sweet Potato Fries were pretty standard. Nothing too exciting. It came with a dark honey dip which was different. Now for the drink... Picante Margarita virgin style was refreshingly delightful. If I wasn't driving, I would get it with the liquor (calirosa rosa blanco, orange liqueur, citrus agave, cayenne syrup, tajin rim). Will get again hopefully with the liquor next time! =) We're not frequent customers of YH, but now we've tasted their foods and drinks... we will indeed return for more deliciousness... salmon plate, pizza, and margarita here we come. We came on a Saturday afternoon for lunch/dinner. To start, the wait wasn't that bad which was nice! I think we waited 15-20 minutes. It was quick for a Saturday :) Food- Great! We all ordered very different things (beer, cocktails, pancakes, chicken wraps, fries, salads, poke, burger, ice cream sundae) and all were great :) Service- Our waiter and waitress were really sweet and helpful. There were a few shift changes so some orders got lost in translation and we had to ask a few times about food that we ordered. A few of our items were forgotten about but we eventually got them :) All of the staff was great, but I think some things got a little lost among the business of a Saturday, which I think was also prom night as we saw some parties dressed up! A fun sports bar with great happy hour deals at Irvine Spectrum. There is a parking structure nearby, but you would still need to cross a small street to get to the restaurant. They have mostly indoor seating with a small outdoor patio. Service interactions are minimal because all of the tables have little screens that you can place your order and pay on. The only items that you can't order from there are the alcoholic beverages. The food comes out very quickly. My favorite thing to order (especially during happy hour) are the poke nachos. The fish is of decent quality and pairs well with the rest of the ingredients. The portion sizes are decent and the flavor is good. Some of the items fall on the more oily side, but it's still a fun place to eat. read more

Yardhouse's happy hour is always great! We came as a party of three and were able to get seated right away. This Yardhouse location is located at the Irvine Spectrum which can get pretty busy, but we came at a slower time. There's lots of tables from booths, regular tables, and bar seating. We got our usual favorites which are the cheeseburger slides with fries and poke nachos. We also decided to try the truffle mushroom pizza. We had not been to the Yard House at the Spectrum for several years, but when our friends suggested meeting there for Happy Hour, we agreed to give it a try. We arrived at 5:00 and told the hostess we were there for Happy Hour. Unlike some other restaurants, they said we could sit anywhere--not just in the bar area. We were seated right away. Even though the restaurant was much bigger than we remembered, it was already full, with only a few open booths. Our waiter greeted us promptly and remained attentive and helpful throughout our visit without ever being annoying. We thought we knew what we wanted to order until we saw the chicken nachos at the booth next to us. The serving was huge, so we asked whether it was the appetizer portion, which was 50% off, or an entrée. Our waiter explained that it was an appetizer and part of the Happy Hour pricing. The restaurant does not reduce the portion size just because the price is discounted. We ordered the nachos, and they were delicious. I have always been a big fan of Yard House and have been to a few locations. I love the Mediterranean Salmon I usually get here. This last time I got the Cheddar Burger with Applewood Bacon. Let me give you a warning: You get a burger here and next time go to your other favorite In and Out--In and Out is going to taste like a microwaved dried out burger in comparison. I splurged and got the Sweet Potato Fries for $1 extra upgrade. Burger and Fries will set you back $20 here. Parking is free in the mall parking lot. Come here on a Saturday night and you get a free entry into the parking lot spot hunt competition. The bar here is really big, long and a cool scene especially if a game is on. This is one of a few Yardhouse locations in OC, located in Irvine Spectrum. The atmosphere was pretty typical between all the locations. The service from our waiter was great! We all cracked jokes and laughed with him and it was great. The only issue I have is that we ordered a specific beer which ended up being out of stock, and it took a long time to hear that news. We got to have a few samplers to pick a replacement, but my problem comes from the fact that we got charged for the original beer that we never got PLUS the new one chosen, which we didn't realize until checking the bill after already paying. I wish it would've gotten taken off when we heard that the original beer was out of stock, but now we've basically paid extra for nothing. Moving onto the food, everything was great on that end. We had poke nachos as an appetizer and these were so good and delicious. I honestly would just get these as a meal because they were amazing. I got a Two-Pepper Jack and upgraded the house fries to truffle parm fries, and they were so much better like that. The Two Pepper Jack itself was really good too, I enjoyed it way more than other burgers. I got it medium rare and it was nothing less than expected and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite I had. We also got an Oreo Brookie as compensation for the missing beer issue, but again, we also paid for it which was not great. On the opposite spectrum though, this was a good dessert. I'm not much of a desserts person in general, but I really liked having this at the end of the night. Overall I would say the food here is great. The service is good, but we had an issue of paying for something we never got, which I think reflects a bit poorly. That's not to say I wouldn't recommend Yardhouse, but it isn't something I'd overlook either. read more

Well where do I even start? I haven't been to Yard House in years...we talking about like 2014 or 2015 when I came back to California after College. To be honest I don't remember what I got here back then other so coming back here like a new guest. Now let me paint the picture here. I didn't know where or what was happening on November 1st. One of my board of trustees, Sara aka my longest bestie I ever knew, threw me a surprise lunch but I didn't know it at the time. She just told me to wear certain color as the outfit and behold, we headed towards the building and I'm still thinking its just a regular luncheon with her. Yeah...no, I was caught off guard when the host grab a bunch of menus and told us to follow her. I'm like ummm there is only two of us, or maybe another table needed the menu. The moment we turn to go to a booth, I saw my other board of trustee and started to cry. Didn't even get to wipe my tears and another board of trustee came and I'm already ballin my eyes out. So Sara, Mel and Luz, I then asked if Danielle was coming but Sara stated she was at work. And i'm like sureeee its a weekend LOL One of the best Birthday surprise EVER! Our waiter Luke was wonderful and catered to our needs since we kind of took a bit since I was overwhelm, still crying at that point. We ordered an appetizer of calamari for the table and drinks, if you love sweet cocktails, you need to get the Kish & Tell, it was so good. Each of us order different food options see pictures. I got the fish and chips and damn! The portion are HUGE! Of course I share the rest with my girlies and yet still had to take it home since it was a lot. The fish was fried to perfection, fluffy and moist, hot yet crispy and the chips were perfect (I asked for it to be well done a bit) I'm not a fan of soggy fries and with a bit of malt vinegar on them *chef kisses* Luz got the chicken enchiladas 9.4/ 10 it was really good and the sauce was just the amount of spice. Also huge portion and ended taking it home. Sara got the cheeseburger and sub for sweet potatoes fries, she only took a bite of her burger and was full since she was sampling our dishes. Mel got a ribeye and don't tell texas roadhouse but that crust was AMAZING, mashed potatoes for a second there look like scoop of ice cream but it was good. Would recommended if you love steak. Danielle got a chicken bowl, hearty and saucey. If you aren't a sauce person, ask for the sauce on the side, it's really well seasoned and high in protein. A healthier options but still hitting that protein intake. Lots of veggies and fiber too. Love the vibes and we ended up having two waiter, Luke was ending his shift so Devan took over and again, service was amazing and make sure we were taken care of. At the end of the birthday we also gave him a slice of my other birthday cake that my bestie got from Susie Cakes, The luscious lemon cake. My all time favor cake from Susie. read more

It is a decent place to hang during the happy hour as the prices are reasonable but the moment it's not happy hour prices, it immediately becomes not worth it. I've enjoyed coming to Yard House many times over the years and recently discovered their happy hour, which is one of the reasons I chose to visit again. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday was disappointing. We arrived at 5:10 PM, well within happy hour (3-6 PM). Because I had my dog with me, I requested patio seating. At the time, there were only a few occupied tables on the patio and several empty tables that simply needed to be bussed. I waited about 20 minutes before checking with the hostess again, only to be told the tables were waiting to be cleaned and that they were short-staffed. I completely understand staffing challenges, but what was frustrating was that during that time I never saw anyone attempt to clear or reset the patio tables, while guests continued to be seated inside. If staffing was truly the issue, management should have stepped in to help turn tables and support the team. After waiting a total of 27 minutes, we were finally seated. Unfortunately, our server was then given several tables at once and was clearly overwhelmed. This was not the server's fault--he was doing his best under the circumstances. However, because of the delay, we didn't even receive water until after 6:00 PM. My dog, as well as the rest of us, had been waiting quite a while by that point. Our beers arrived several minutes later, after happy hour had already ended. The food and drinks were good, and our server worked hard, but the overall experience was negatively impacted by what appeared to be poor staffing decisions and a lack of management support. A little more attention to table turnover and guest flow could have made a huge difference. read more

This is actually the first negative restaurant review I have ever written. I usually avoid leaving bad reviews because I understand that service can be stressful and busy at times, and everyone can have an off day. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing enough that I feel it needs to be shared. The service from our server, Kimberly , was extremely poor from start to finish. Our water was never proactively refilled, and whenever we asked for water, she acted like she did not want to provide it and showed clear reluctance and frustration. What made the experience worse was the overall unprofessional behavior. While we were still eating, she attempted to remove plates we were actively using. She also threw a used napkin from another table onto a plate she was taking from our table, which was completely inappropriate and unhygienic. Throughout the interaction, she continued making rude facial expressions and seemed irritated whenever we requested anything. When we asked to speak with a manager about the situation, we were told the manager was "not available" and would not come speak with us. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had, not because of the food, but because of the service and lack of professionalism. read more

**This is an Updated visit*** I arrived at Yardhouse this time at 11am when they opened. The host was training someone but she was still able to make time to check me in. I got seated in the booth in the corner by Steph and Edison was my Waiter. Mind you, I was the first one seated in his section because I was the only one seated at this time, other than a couple of guys who sat at the bar. I ordered 10pc Crispy Chicken Wings with BBQ sauce and waited about 12 minutes before I got my order. While waiting on my food, there were two other parties that were seated in the same row I was in, so Edison had two other tables to tend to. I was the first to arrive. I do remember the first time I ordered these wings they were dripped in more sauce, but this time, the chef was a little shy haha. I asked Edison if he could either bring me some extra BBQ sauce or have the chef put some more on for me. He gladly agreed and brought me back two cups of BBQ sauce. The wings were actually really crispy and good. I started to notice that Edison wasn't checking on me as often as he was the other two tables that came in after me. He would ask them if they needed more sauce or condiments but not me. I even saw one time as I was eating, he looked right at my table but he quickly looked away again without checking on my table. It got to the point where he checked on the tables (who came after me) without saying anything to me so I had to yell his name across those two tables just to ask for his help. I yelled, "Edison. Edison!! Can you help me??" I mean don't like to yell but I had to speak up. I wanted my to go box and I just wanted to get out of there. This was the third time I've visited this Yardhouse location, but the SECOND time I've been treated differently by these waiters. I don't like to play the "racist card" but in these SAME two instances, I was treated much much more poorly than my white counterparts at this Yardhouse in particular. Even have under 700 calorie menu. Other than drafts, they have coke fountain products include Dr. pepper. Female waitress was helpful on answering questions/concerns and offer some recommendations. Order the fried calamari, onion ring tower and Korean ribeye Fried calamari is fried to perfection so it's not too oily nor greasy. Onion ring tower is must have and it's not too oily nor greasy as well. Let's talk about the Korean ribeye. Not only it's the most expensive item ($44) but it's the biggest oz on the menu (20 oz to be exact). Ask medium-rare and it blows your mind. They have regular 20oz ribeye but instead of friends...it's garnish with mashed potatoes and asparagus I believe and it's like $3 cheaper. Overall, very good. I thought for months about whether I wanted to write this review, as I am quite hesitant to say something very negative about an establishment. However, I do have to share that my experience here was unfortunately one of the worst that I have had in years, mostly due to the service :// I came here with my parents and some of my extended family, including a toddler. From the get go, the waiters were extremely dismissive when we got into the restaurant - they rolled their eyes when we tried to get someone to serve us, and when we ordered mostly plates to share, our waiter seemed quite angry and asked us "that's it?" The food we ordered (particularly the shiitake garlic noodles and calamari) was also consistently cold and subpar. When our waiter brought them out they all but threw the plates down in front of the toddler in our group, which could have been dangerous. As always a GREAT selection of beers on tap and the appetizers are all amazing. But the entrees we tried are mid level. Parmesan truffle fries are a MUST, onion ring tower is MUST #2 (ask for a side of ranch). But they brought us a side of fries instead of the tower & charged us for a tower. Vodka chicken pasta with fettuccine is okay. Jambalaya with fettuccine was okay too. Didn't expect Michelin status pasta but still below my expectations.
