Hey, I enjoyed this quite a bit! I've only been to Woodfire Grill restaurant at the Grove, in LA once with friends. We had a good time and this location did not disappoint either. This time I was by myself though, just to grab a quick dinner. The insight of the restaurant isn't that species but it's nice and cozy. Since I was by myself, there's absolutely no point to wait for a table so I grab a seat at the bar and order some baby back ribs. Delicious! Word of advice to anyone visiting this place. Though it tasted great the meat quality was on a lower side. There was just way too much fat and little meat on those ribs. At the end of the visit though I left satisfied with everything, the atmosphere, service and the food. Sure it wasn't a five star steak dinner but this isn't very a fancy steakhouse establishment either so for the low quality meat and dry corn that I had received it was definitely a B+ experience. read more

Had a great dinner experience at the Irvine location. We started with half an order of their onion straws and it arrived very quickly. Unfortunately it came a little extra crispy but when we mentioned it to our waitress she immediately made it right and brought us a new one. I've had the pleasure of coming back here three additional times. Twice for their beef ribs, which are absolutely outstanding! And then once for the baby back. PROS's: their staff is absolutely amazing! Once again, I received phenomenal service from my last three visits. I hope management appreciates Johnny, Becca, and Rylie, And, they have the best beef ribs in town! CON's: the baby back ribs were a little bland. The baby back ribs were super tender and fell right off the bone, while the beef ribs were smoky and juicy. The Carolina pulled pork had great flavor. Chicken breast was paired really well with their BBQ sauce. The half chicken was surprisingly moist and not dry at all. Met with my niece's basketball team and their family for dinner. We started with the shredded onion as an appetizer and their bread which was delicious. The food portions are perfect and the cocktails were also very good. It wasn't loud despite being really crowded and the staff is excellent. We ordered three cobs and 2/3 were black, like inedible. I hate wasting food, but we couldn't salvage it. Yummy food every time we come here! I will say all the times of come to Wood Ranch they are consistent with the quality of their food. I ordered the 7 oz Tri Tip with Mac and Cheese as my size. It wasn't the best night for the kitchen, but I'll tell you it was the best night for the staff that was working . AWESOME BURGER ALERT! I am sucker for a good burger. I must admit, that I like most burgers on the planet. But the burger at Wood Ranch is 5 star exceptional. What makes this burger "exceptional" you ask? Well, for starters, the ground beef is very high quality, a perfect 80/20 fat ratio that by itself is simply mouth watering. The bun is a buttery brioche and is lightly toasted. The lettuce and tomato, fresh and flavorful. And the CHEESE! Oh man the CHEESE!, there is plenty of it but perfectly balanced and does not over power the beef. The accompanying fries are a nice addition and stay crispy throughout the meal. Claire number 1 !! The food has good flavor and the servers are nice. The rolls are pretty good and have a buttery flavor. I ordered the BBQ Chopped Salad with tri tip and subbed romaine lettuce instead of mixed greens. It was tasty! The sauce on the tender tri tip was great and mixed well with the ranch dressing. The other ingredients were sparse though aside from lettuce and dressing. My colleague ordered BBQ Chopped Salad with chicken and cleaned his plate so it must have been good. Check out the pictures. We went during an off peak time so it was a bit quiet inside. The outdoor patio seating looks fun for a summer day and they also have heaters outside in case it gets cold. It's also well shaded. It's been years since I was last at Wood Ranch and our recent visit made me question why I haven't been back sooner. I didn't catch our server's name, but I want to commend her on her exceptional service. According to our receipt, her name is Tingna. She was friendly and checked in on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Kudos to her! I also didn't recall that Wood Ramch serves complimentary garlic bread which is both soft, warm and delicious. For my entree I opted for the BBQ Two Item Combo which included 2 proteins (pictured are the brisket and baby back ribs) and 2 sides (baked potato and mac 'n cheese). I enjoyed every morsel, but I will say that the brisket was on the dryer side and I wish it was more moist. We washed down our meal by sharing a pomegranate lemonade. Visited this spot with a party of 13 adults and 7 kids, the waitstaff were champions! Beyond amazing! Super sweet and nice, very helpful! The restaurant is clean and it was a quiet night, not too busy, so we were able to get out food quite quickly. Their table bread was absolutely divine! It's sourdough and it tasted good with their ranch! I'm picky about ranch but they have really good ranch. I got their chicken sandwich with Mac & cheese! Wow, absolutely great! Anytime my tea got to the 1/2 way mark, our server would bring out a new drink. She made sure we were well taken care of. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Breast, which comes with 2 sides. I ordered grilled asparagus and fries. We also had their signature garlic rolls. The rolls were so good, but a little too greasy for my taste. The food was great and the chicken was cooked very well. My only 1 thing is that most of the food had far too much salt - especially the asparagus. With less butter and salt, this would be an A+! I can't wait to come back for dessert sometime soon! The peanut coleslaw is always my favorite side. I love that it's not mayo based. My husband ordered the brisket ( sounded delicious on the menu) but was bland and underwhelming. We decided to sit at the bar to avoid the wait and I was starving. Since we both love sports... Bar seating was good with college football and baseball being on all the TVs there. For drinks... I had the Raspberry-Pomegranate Martini and he had the spicy Margarita. My martini was a little too sweet for me. His margarita was delicious! It had the perfect kick to it. They brought out garlic rolls for us abd omg soooo good. Warm with just the right amount of garlic. For food... I had the bbq chicken salad and he had the tri-tip. My salad was delicious. Perfect amount of dressing. The chicken was tender. I also had avocado added to the salad. This was a great addition. The tri tip was not as tender as we would have liked. The tri tip came with baked beans and a baked potato. Those were good. Nothing on the dessert menu sounded great so we chose to go elsewhere for dessert. Wow! this was my first time trying and I was pleasantly surprised. The garlic dinner rolls were TO DIE FOR!! (and unlimited!!!) I got the beef rib dinner plate and it was SOOOO yummy!! I just wish, for $7, they served you a little more macaroni and cheese for our extra side. With the exception of the last two ribs on the smaller end, the ribs were tender and juicy. Would not recommend this place overall, and slightly surprised at how long they have been at the Spectrum. I ordered the brisket with mac & cheese and broccoli, and everything was way too salty. My party and I had a reservation on a busy Saturday evening and was seated promptly upon arriving. We had outdoor seating and the staff catered to our needs and turned on the outdoor heating as it was getting a bit chilly. It's always nice to not shiver throughout the entire meal. I was incredibly hungry so the bottomless garlic bread held me over. I could eat that all day. All our food came out shortly after ordering and not a single mistake! But the highlight was the smoked brisket. I have not quite had a brisket as smoked as that, and I've had my fair share of smoked briskets. I didn't even need a knife to separate the meat, it was so tender. That's all a man really wants in his meat. Tenderness. Also, the sweet mashed potatoes and beans as a side dish really sold it all for me. I'm not quite sure why I don't frequent this place, but now I realize that's all about to change.
