3.5 stars....Got into Irvine late and just wanted something quick, so we stopped at Heirloom Kitchen in the hotel lobby. The space is really pretty--bright, modern Irvine Spectrum vibes and a nice spot to unwind with a drink after a long day. We ordered drinks, fish tacos, and buffalo wings. The fish tacos were good--fish pieces were a little small, but the toppings were fresh and the fish tasted clean, not fishy. The buffalo wings were interesting with blue cheese crumbles sprinkled on top and ranch on the side. A little different, but tasty. The only downside was the speed. The place was pretty quiet--just a few people at the bar and a couple tables--but the food still took a while. Overall, solid hotel food in a really nice setting if you're staying here and need a late bite. read more

I had a noon reservation for 7/19/26 and waited for about 20 min to even talk to the hostess. They didn't have my reservation, but after showing them the confirmation they sat us. We sat for 20 min with no sight of our server. I went and got my own menus. When we did finally see our server he snatched the menu out of my hand and said "We are offering a very limited menu today" and he gave us a card that was 7"x7" and it only had hamburgers and finger food. I was so disappointed as I had reviewed their menu before I made the reservation. The server told us that there was an event there that day and they were not able to offer their normal service. That would have been great to have been told that when I made the reservation. Oh, and it's also located in the Marriot in Irvine so you have to valet to park. Heirloom Farmhouse Kitchen is on the first floor at the Marriott hotel in Irvine. I was really impressed by how upscale this hotel was. They have the restaurant on the first floor and then there is a rooftop bar on the rooftop. We came around 5pm for dinner on a Friday night and it was mostly empty, minus a few people at the bar. The menu is a bit small, but there are some great options. We decided to start with the spinach artichoke dip and it was super tasty. It was creamy and very flavorful. I also enjoyed that the chips were warm. Then, I got the arugula salad and that wasn't my favorite. I am typically a salad lover, but this one was pretty bland and left something to be desired. The ribeye on the other hand was tender and juicy! Our server was fantastic and all the staff were helpful. Sterling is a wonderful bartender and he's very knowledgeable about the menu and the hotel as well. You can see the pool while sitting at the bar. So I think it's important when leaving a review to consider what the place is. A hotel restaurant is a different animal, and as such, this place was pretty solid. No pics because I didn't intend to drop a review, but I recommend getting the smash burger, and add a patty for a double, skip the bun for a carb friendly option. The Caesar salad was solid too, and a chilled ketel one martini rounded things out for my business stay at the hotel. Let's clarify, this is the Marriott's lobby restaurant. And will have to valet with the restaurant when you arrive. Open space, very relaxed, not very busy on a Wednesday night. Our server was very nice and attentive. The meal moved pretty quickly, which we appreciated since they were a few screaming kids in running around. The food was pleasantly delightful. Loved the flavor of the sprouts, even though it was a little too oily. The pizza was great to share, thin crust and a generous amount of toppings. No one was at the entrance to greet you or seat you. We had to wait and look for someone to help us. We also had to ask someone else to give us our bill. Nice ambience and presentation at buffet but a lot of the items were not labeled so we did not what they were or if it had any nuts because someone in our party is allergic. It was frustrating because I had to keep asking the ingredients and then they would have to ask the chef. This is not good because some allergies are very serious. Food was mostly good. I didn't really enjoy the red wine sauce that accompanied the prime rib or any of the desserts. $89 per person Drinks included are coffee and water. Juice and sodas is an extra charge. They charged an extra 20% service charge on the bill that they did not inform me when I made the reservations. Total for 4 people was $460.31. Only $10 off for valet parking which was $28 for 3 hours So it was $18 to parks. They said they would charge our car but they didn't. read more

It's super spacious with tons of outdoor seating, ideal for rolling deep with the whole crew. I went with the chef's special: a dreamy heirloom tomato burrata salad and lamb chops for just $25 (yes, really). The salad was fresh and light, and the lamb chops? I've been here twice for lunch. Both times I've experienced slow service. I've had the burger both times. The first time was paired with fries and the second time paired with cauliflower. I've also had the chicken wing appetizer. The food was good. Upon exit, I've had my parking validated but there is still a $15 valet fee while you eat here for lunch. I would only recommend to eat here if you were a guest of the Marriott Hotel and that you won't be in a hurry for lunch. Three stars! read more

We had a nice dinner here on a Saturday night. The live music was great, it wasn't overbearingly loud, and we were seated in about less than 10 minutes. SERVICE: The staff knew the menu well and offered options and recommendations. Food took some time to arrive, but it was understandably busy at the time. We ended up ordering the Pork Chop and Pan Roasted Salmon from the main entrees. FOOD: The Pork Chop was delicious, 8.5/10! The sauce was the cherry on top for this dish and the butter beans with kale and pickled chilies paired really well together. The Pan Roasted Salmon was prepared nicely above average, although the "forbidden rice" added interesting texture but not too much flavor, 7/10. OVERALL: Prices were on the more expensive side but was expected due to its location in a nice hotel. Would recommend for a date spot since they have seating by the pool too! read more

I had their avocado toast for breakfast almost everyday when I was staying there. It's so loaded and tasty. It's grilled to black by default, and they were happy to change it to be toasted instead. They may occasionally forget to toast the bread at all so it might be great to always ask. They don't have espresso based drink so you may have to bring your own if you prefer to pair the toasted with a Latte. read more

What a ripoff. They lure you in by saying they validate parking, but once you finish having a cocktail and get your car you learn that the parking charge is $18 AFTER validation. The food is also pretty expensive for what you get-$18 for wings/small cheese pizza. It's a VERY EXPENSIVE cocktail when you add it all up. Enjoyed this restaurant while staying at the Marriott Irvine Spectrum. Wasn't too crowded and was able to be seated immediately. Menu is diverse with great fried pizzas, good pasta, mix of seafood, and decent by-the-glass wine selection. One half has two giant tvs for sports, a bar in the middle, with the other half more traditional restaurant seating -quiet and cozy. We came in late fall so can't speak to the outdoor area but looks like it might be enjoyable. If you have kids the kids portions are awesome with the kids burger having great chargrilled finish, and a delicious mac'n'cheese. Fruit as a side came in a large bowl, with fresh berries and melon. For adults the mushroom and kale pizza was awesome, and the tagliatelle with shrimp (or sub chicken) was perfect al dente. Service might have been a little "relaxed" but staff was friendly and we weren't in a rush. read more

They helped us right away...maybe we looked thirsty (we were) ;) We got our drinks very quickly and ordered lots of food. FOOD? My wife had the charcuterie and I had the burger and fries. I have been here twice now. Once for the Easter buffet and once for regular lunch hours. Let me tell you- both times, the food has been amazing! We had a small hiccup with service the first time but the second time, the managers made it right (thanks, Melanie and Quan!). Our server during lunch, Enrique, was attentive, kind, and helpful. The lunch menu was great!! I got the burger and my mom got the Wedge salad with salmon that she would *not* stop talking about. She was obsessed! The plating was even beautiful. The whole restaurant is gorgeous, the food is great, and service is (most of the time) good but it seems like they're actively working to make it better. I definitely enjoyed myself and will be back! We first tried to go to the Hive and Honey, their rooftop bar but all their shady spots were gone and it was hot. So we left and ended up downstairs at Heirloom instead. We liked it! Sat at the bar for some drinks before heading out to dinner and immediately I was not impressed with the service from the bartender. She was so busy talking with one of her coworkers to even take a look at people at the bar waiting and stop. She continued her conversation before heading over to take our order. My friends and I had dinner at Heirloom Farmhouse Kitchen last night. At first view the restaurant is very cute. It's located inside the Marriott Hotel. We were a large party of 13, so we had our own private area to dine in. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Everyone ordered a variety of items and drinks from the menu. I had the NY steak with a side of the truffle Mac & Cheese. Some of my girlfriends ordered the Short Rib Ragú, Salmon and the Chicken. Sadly the food was mediocre at best. The only item I can rave about is the baked rolls with the honey butter. They were delicious! Personally my food was NOT good at all. The steak was not seasoned. It was flavorless and not worth the $72. I've had better steak at Chili's. Lol The drinks were strong which is good because they didn't skimp on the alcohol, but they weren't very tasty. One of my girlfriends received a drink in a glass that had a lipstick stain. That was GROSS! I should mention that we were there to celebrate our friends birthday. After we finished our dinner the bday girls started opening their gifts. At approximately 11:10 pm a gentleman whom I believe was the manager abruptly entered the private room and tapped my friend on her shoulder. He told her that we had to leave bcuz they close at 11:00 pm. We hadn't even paid at this point. I will like to point out that there were plenty of other tables with customers still eating and having drinks. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He basically told us we had 10 minutes to get out. We paid our bill with multiple cards and cash since there were 13 of us. We didn't get two credit cards back. I talked to our waitress and told her that we were missing 2 credit cards. Apparently she never ran those 2 credit cards and kept them with the cash portion of the tab. I thought this was odd bcuz she should have noticed that the tab hadn't been paid in full since two cards weren't charged. Anyways, we got the payments straighten out and paid our tab in full. Before leaving I decided to use the restroom before heading home. I walked in the restroom and there was a young lady throwing up in the middle of the restroom. There were men in the women's restroom trying to carry her out. Needless to say I didn't use the restroom after that. I walked to the front of the lobby to get my car from the valet. I paid and while I waited for my car a fight broke out in front of the hotel between two patrons. It was a complete nightmare. Personally I will not be coming back. The food was not good, the drinks were meh, and the manager was very unprofessional! This place is not worth the cost of the food & drinks. read more

Hubby and I came here looking for a nice, splurgey breakfast on a Sunday morning. It's new-ish and we noticed there weren't very many pics of their breakfast/brunch items on Yelp - most were dinner. But we decided to be pioneers and forge forward. As it turns out, the experience turned out to have less of a splurgey feel and more of a desolate, unappreciated feel. We sat outside to enjoy the beautiful day, ended up getting ourselves a tan because the awning right above us was broken and couldn't be closed. (Alas, we were already settled in and decided to brave the rays.) Our server was very nice but you can tell she was inexperienced. I ordered a Bloody Mary and hubby wanted to coffee. She came back to say the bartender was away and the drink may take 5-10-15 minutes. I was fine with that....except apparently that also meant hubby didn't get his coffee until I got my bloody mary! We ordered the the avocado toast to start which, when served, was very picturesque. It tasted pretty good, too, except there was only the thinnest layer of avocado on it. For the $9 you pay, they opted to give you cute little pan fried quail eggs. I think I prefer more avo over the eggs. But that's just me. As for our entrees, I opted for the Smoke Stack and hubby ordered the "chilaquile". The best part of my dish were the potatoes which I felt was more than 50% of the dish. I felt let down by the stack itself which was a scramble. The menu said it had carnitas which I realized 1/3 of the way into the stack there was very little of, a few shreds here and there. The dish overall was flavor-lite. A lot of salt was employed. I had a bite of Hubby's dish and thought it was pretty tasty (except for the nuclear red color of the chips which was somewhat disconcerting). Food notes aside, I felt the service required improvements. It was disjointed and took WAY too long to get basics (like drink refills, hot sauce, etc.). Table next to us got two iced teas because he ended up having to ask someone else for a refill. Our server, while nice, was having a hard time making change with cash and had to approach us for money back. To make things easier on her, we overtipped so she would have a nice round number to deal with. On our way out, we walked past a hostess standing at attention at the entrance of the restaurant, we made eye contact and then she quickly DIVERTED her gaze into the patio (while still standing at attention) when we walked by...didn't say a word. Ditto front desk. The MVP of our experience here was a valet guy (ponytail) who took our car at the beginning and brought our car when we were leaving. He had a great attitude and also remembered my name. Definitely wouldn't go out of our way to come back here. read more
