Sgt. Pepperoni's takes care of all the catering at the big events at our church and I knew they were capable of handling food for an English class. It was suffocatingly hot outside being summer. After placing the order for a Half & Half Specialty pizza of The Works and BBQ Chicken and a half tray of Pinwheels for 6 pepperoni and 6 meatball ricotta, my server offered a cup of cool water. They didn't quite have the 6 meatball ricotta so the supervisor asked if it was all right to fill with 2 extra pepperoni pinwheels. That was fine. They provided all the utensils and put the marinara sauce in individual containers. I was able to get on my way and arrive early to the class with all the food. The students enjoyed the hearty snacks tremendously as did the other teachers. Thank you!

Sgt. Pepperoni's has been my go to pizza place. While their regular pizzas are a solid four starts, I'm upping my rating to five stars because their pizzas of the month have been amazing! My favorite is their 'Shroom Pie with a cream base, fontina and mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms and arugula and herbs. It tastes like a pizza from some high end gourmet restaurant. Their Al Pastor Pie is a close second. I like Hawaiian pizza but this is even better with green salsa, mozzarella, al pastor, pineapple, caramelized onions, with a guac drizzle and cilantro. Highly recommend if you like Hawaiian pizza! Service is always good and friendly. One day I'll have to eat there and enjoy a beer!

We recently had Sgt. Pepperoni Pizza for our office lunch. We had a variety of pizza, some with meat and some vegetarian ones, and two types of salad. One of the salad was very unique. I haven't seen it anywhere else. It was a mixture of greens with some hard boiled eggs and something that looked like ham and cheese rolled into a pinwheel shape. I didn't order so not sure what that was, but it was pretty good. Most of the pizza were good but the ones with meat and pepperoni ones were too salty.

Decided to try this place for the first time. We ordered the all-meat pizza and unfortunately it was very salty and extremely oily. Maybe we picked the wrong pizza, but honestly even Domino's tastes better to me. The only things we really enjoyed were the salad and garlic knots. We also had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, and the place was VERY loud -- seriously, bring ear plugs. The chairs were also very uncomfortable. Another issue was the pizza crust couldn't even hold the toppings -- if you folded a slice, everything just slid right off. I don't like leaving 1-star reviews, but I just wasn't impressed and won't be coming back.

To be honest, when my old coworker mentioned how Sgt. Pepperoni used to be one of his go-to pizza spots in the area, I was a little skeptical. Not because I don't trust his taste or anything (I certainly do), but because, given their close proximity to the UC Irvine campus, I couldn't help but wonder if they were actually good or more like the "great when you're drunk and in college, less so when you're an adult" type of good. Thankfully, I can legitimately say this place is a whole lot closer to the former and far from the latter! At a glance, Sgt. Pepperoni may not immediately look very impressive, but this place is awesome. Inside, the restaurant has a couple of TV's airing various sporting events, a small bar area with a variety of beers on tap, a few picnic tables and high tops, and a great outdoor patio area which is perfect for those warm Irvine days and nights. As for the menu, it's got a terrific selection of house combinations. In total, there are over a dozen different types to choose from, not counting their featured pizza of the month and the build your own options. If you aren't in the mood for a slice, they also have a handful of appetizers to choose from, as well as salads, sandwiches, and desserts. -- THE WORKS - Sauce, Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Bell Pepper, Red Onion, Black Olives, Sausage, Meatballs, Garlic, and Parmesan Pretty standard version of a classic supreme, but the meatballs made it seem slightly meatier. Yet, even though I only got one small chunk of it, I still thought this was really good. The ratio of each topping was spot on and I love that they didn't skimp on the pepperoni. -- BRONX BOMBER - Sauce, Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Sausage, Jalapeno, Mushroom, Garlic, and Parmesan Given how similar the toppings are, this felt like a lighter version of The Works. In this case, while I do wish the toppings included some kind of vegetable, I liked the slight kick of the jalapenos and how this one felt a bit cheesier in comparison. -- MEATBALL RICOTTA - Mozzarella, Ricotta, Stan's Famous Meatballs, Garlic, Parmesan, Parsley, and Sauce Nothing amazing yet no less solid. Unfortunately, my slice only had a small dollop of ricotta and just a few pieces of meatball, but I liked how creamy the former was and how meaty the latter was. Plus, this was so cheesy! -- NASHVILLE HOT PIE - Crispy Chicken Tossed in House-made Nashville Sauce, Mozzarella, Pickles, Red Onions, Hot Honey, and Nashville Sauce This was the pizza of the month, but they should make it a permanent option because it was so good! The chicken was crispy (it's not fried), flavorful, and moist on the inside while the pickles, onions, honey, and sauce complemented each other so well. I'd come back just for this! -- ITALIAN SANDWICH - Salami, Ham Pepperoni, Provolone, Creamy Balsamic, Lettuce, Tomato, and Onion To be honest, I had minimal expectations for this, but it turned out to be pretty awesome! Not only did this have a good amount of meat in it, but I actually really liked the bread - airy, light, and crusty yet not the least bit dry. Delicious! Across each of the pizzas I've tried, I thought the crust on each of them was terrific - on the thin side (yet not too thin nor too doughy) and I liked how both the bottom and rim were really nicely browned. In addition, the other thing about Sgt. Pepperoni that stood out was the staff. Each time I've been here, the workers have all been so friendly and I appreciate how honest one guy was, in particular - "personally, I wouldn't bother with that one because the special is way better". Far more forthcoming than I expected, but the man was right! From the food, to the workers, to the space, to how their prices seem pretty reasonable, Sgt. Pepperoni is just a dope pizza place to have around, whether you're a UC Irvine student or not. Plus, I love how they have deals as well, including a lunch special (11am-2pm), which ranges from a slice and a soda to two slices, a salad, and a soda, as well as Happy Hour deals (slice and a beer/wine) and 50% off pitchers and bottles of wine. Not only a nice way to save a few bucks, but even more reasons to come in! FOUR AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now, but don't be surprised if this turns into a five one day!

This has become one of my fav pizza spots in OC!! The Al Pastor pizza was so good that we ordered it twice in one week! Sad it'll be gone at the end of this month, but excited to see what the July pie of the month will be! Overall, Sgt. Pepperoni's has a great atmosphere, the workers are friendly, and it's a nice spot to grab lunch/dinner with friends and family.

We were looking for a place to watch the Mexico World Cup game and Sgt Pepperoni came up. I called to make sure they were there showing the game and they were. The vibe was great to watch the game as they had TVs outside and inside to watch and they were able to turn the volume up. We got an entire pizza and a drink for us to share. We got the super bee (no franks hot sauce) and we loved it! The flavor was great. The crust was our favorite! We really enjoyed this location and will be back. We want to try their salads and pepperoni pizza.

Sgt. Pepperoni is an awesome pizza spot. The pizza comes out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious every time. They offer a wide variety of flavors and toppings--some fun and unique options along with the classic favorites, so there's something for everyone. The service is friendly and quick, which makes the experience even better. One of my favorite things is the crust--it has the perfect thickness with a great crunch that really sets it apart. Parking can be a little tricky or crowded at times, but it's manageable and totally worth it for the pizza. Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to!

The Capri Pie (December 2025 flavor of the month) 10/10 delicious!

I will avoid this location in the future and instead go to their Newport Beach location. The reason is that this location NEVER has my pizza ready on time. It's one thing when it's always 10+ minutes late and I haven't written negative reviews for that. However, tonight it was 23 minutes past my pickup window and they weren't even apologetic. The worst part was they told me "just 10 more minutes" so I waited around and my kids were with me and then it was another 13 minutes so 23 minutes of wasted time. If they would have just been honest and told me it would take an additional 20+ minutes past my scheduled pickup time (I ordered online like an hour before!) I could have ran another errand or got my kids something to do or anything but just waiting there and waiting and waiting really sucked. I love Sgt. Pepperoni's pizzas (their current pizza of the month Capri Pie is delicious, as are all their pizzas!) but the service is soooo much better at their Newport Beach location I'll just go to that location instead.

First time at Sgt's and I tried their lunch special: 2 slices and a drink. I got the Meatball Ricotta and The Works. My boyfriend wanted to try their specialty pizzas, but next time I think I'll just stick with the pepperoni. Definitely a quality spot for pizza! The slices had a great crunch with a thin crust, which I really liked. Their pizza reminds me of New York-style pizza. There was plenty of parking, and the workers were really friendly. Ambiance was great! They had cozy outdoor seating and it was lively. Definitely recommend!

This is the second Sgt. Pepperoni's Pizza location I have been to, same as the last one, really enjoyed the food. Pizza is very good, lots of variety with pizza by the slice with various crust options. The house salad was huge with lots of toppings and the blue cheese was excellent, one salad enough for 2-3 people easy. They also have beer on tap, deserts, etc. These locations are a play on The Beetles Sgt. Peppers, with Beetles photos, etc. on the walls inside. Inside has a good amount of seating, bench style as well as bar seating, they have TV's all around and they also have a large patio that looks like it is about the same size as the interior. The servers were nice, once we ordered, they bring the food out to you and made sure we had what we needed. Once you are done they clean up the tables for you as well. Great experience, great pizza and salads, check them out for a casual night out. Enjoy!

Checked out Sergeant Pepperoni's in Irvine and it was such a hit! Im not even a huge pizza person, but this was worth every dollar! The service was really good, and it definitely didn't hurt that the guy at the cash register was also working the bar and was super hot. The pizza was amazing. I love that they have a great mix of classic options and more unique specialty pies. My little cousins could not get enough of it and were basically inhaling every slice. Based on what we had, here are the standouts: * Meatball Ricotta: This was a favorite. It doesn't have a traditional sauce base, but it's loaded with their famous meatballs, creamy New York ricotta, and fresh garlic, topped with dollops of marinara. * The Works: A total classic for the table. It's got the "roni cups," bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, black olives, sausage, and meatballs. * Sweet Heat Sausage Pie: This specialty pie had a great balance of flavors with chicken sausage, roasted red peppers, and gorgonzola on a garlic aioli base, finished with a drizzle of smoky chipotle aioli and fresh fennel. * Garlic Knots & Wings: We also grabbed some of the knots and wings, and they were the perfect side to the main event. This is such a great family friendly spot to grab some phenomenal food!

I got the Chicken Eggplant sandwich and the portion size is 10/10. More importantly, every single thing in this sandwich was packed with flavor and not dry at all. The sauce was delicious, eggplant was so flavorful, chicken wasn't dry, and it came out piping hot. Definitely recommend eating this with the house hot sauce, it takes the flavors to a whole other level. Also, they have a happy hour deal from 3-6pm cash only and you get a Chicken Garlic Sandwich (best seller), chips, and a drink all for $7.40! I just didn't have cash on me this time, but I'm going to take advantage of this next time I'm in!

I've heard the Peruvian Steak, Prosciutto, and Chicken are good too! My only feedback with the Happy Hippie is that there is slightly too much filling, so it falls when you are eating the sandwich. Each of their sandwiches comes with two halves and is filling and satisfying. They also use fresh, vibrant vegetables, and a store associate told me their bread is baked fresh every day! Service: The service here is half the reason I come! A lovely store associate will guide you when ordering, and they will bring the food right to you! When they bring the food, there are two napkins on the tray. If they see you carrying your tray after you are finished eating, they will also offer to take it for you! Although the sandwich prices are slightly premium, you are paying for their healthy ingredients and exceptional service! Ambiance: This restaurant is spacious with many tables on the inside and outside! Their bathrooms are also really clean and well kept! Please go here for a healthy, non-bloating meal when you're in the area!

I'd rate the Peruvian Steak an 8.5/10. The bread was perfectly toasted, the mustard added just the right amount of kick, and all of the flavors complemented each other well. It would have been a perfect 10/10 if one side of the bottom bun hadn't been completely soggy from the mustard spilling out of the sandwich. I ordered my sandwich to go, so if I had waited until I got home to eat it, I think the entire bottom of the sandwich would have been soggy. That was disappointing. For to-go orders, I think Mendocino Farms should automatically serve the mustard in a separate sauce container to help prevent this issue. My other qualm was with the pickup process. When I received the text that my order was ready, it read: "Your order at Mendocino Farms - 10 - UC Irvine is ready for pickup. Please proceed to the counter." Some restaurants have signs explaining whether customers should grab their to-go orders themselves or wait for a team member to assist them. I waited patiently at the counter for several minutes while a team member saw me standing there but didn't acknowledge me. After about five minutes, I finally asked, "Can I grab my order?" The process felt confusing and could have been communicated more clearly. Overall, I thought the sandwich was delicious and a great portion size. However, I think the to-go process could use some improvement. I ended up eating my sandwich in the restaurant because I could already see the bread becoming soggy when I picked it up, which wasn't part of my original plan.

I've been going to the specific location ever since they opened :) Always has the most incredible Dutch crunch bread. Nobody else in the area does it right like these guys do. The inside is small, not too much seating so pickup orders are probably the better deal here. We decided to eat inside since we were heading to go shopping right after. It was a bit warm inside so that's why I suggest picking up your order. Service was great, and the time to wait for the order wasn't too long. I ordered the turkey bacon cold sandwich and requested that on grilled sourdough. Guys...amazing! This sandwich tasted so fresh and the flavors all paired so well. It was a decent size too, I literally had to smash it down a bit to get a bite in. Definitely coming back here to try some of their other sandwiches and most likely the breakfast burrito.

You can tell who is the manager - he's the guy sitting at a table with a "Stand" hat and tee-shirt feverishly entering data and looking at stuff on the computer. Why are managers always the one at the table with a laptop? If you go just down the block to Flower Child the manager is the one working at the counter handing our orders, or delivering orders to tables and interacting with the guests. Never saw him use a laptop but I'm certain he does. But the manager said goodbye to us as we left. A chicken sandwich with chicken and cole slaw was made with chicken that we very flat and hard, and had no real taste at all. I think we've been trained to get all our flavor from sauces - they had lots of sauces available and brought them to the table on request. A basket of sweat potato fried was undercooked and too soft. Not so good even with salt and lots of sauces. Of course we didn't eat the signature burger....that's what The Stand is known for...so we didn't really give them a chance for their home run. The place was about 25% full at about 3pm so ambiance was fairly quiet and service was quick. Not sure about a return visit. We're on the fence.

Their menu is solid, with burgers and other items that make a casual meal. You can also order via their app to pick up. They get really busy at times, and orders take a little longer. There have been a few times when they made the wrong order by mixing up sauces among items I have ordered. For example, the sauces I order for fries were added to a hot dog. That can be annoying, especially when the orders state which condiments go with what items. They do correct the orders, which I appreciate. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Because the Newport Beach weather is amazing year-round, eating outdoors is definitely a treat.

One downside was a man who continued to smoke on the patio despite being told it wasn't allowed, though fortunately, he didn't smoke the entire time.
