On a sunny weekend, Aloha Stacks is a great place to grab brunch. The line was out the door, but moved quickly. You order at the counter and then take your number to a table. They have indoor and lots of outdoor seating available. I tried their breakfast burrito, which at $12 is one of the cheapest around. It includes your choice of protein (bacon, Portuguese sausage, kalua pork, sausage, spam or mixed veggies) with eggs, cheddar and potatoes and comes with a side of refried beans and chips. It's one of the smaller ones out there, but at that price you can't argue. I chose kalua pork and there was a good amount in there. The salsa verde that comes with it is great, and really adds an extra oomph. My husband got the chicken teriyaki plate ($16) which came with two scoops of rice and mac salad. They use chicken breast so it's healthier, but not as flavorful as dark meat. Would like to come back for those ube pancakes and some Portuguese sausage! Ample parking the lot. read more

I've been here 4x in a month. My daughter and I stopped by to have brunch with my my gfs after their Pilates class. We loved it so much. Then came back with the rest of the family and then 2x with my work buddies. Each time I've like everything we ordered. I tasted my friend's dishes too and I can't say I found anything I didn't like. 01. Blueberry Pancakes $4 (single stack) - 5 Stars - Fluffy and loaded with fresh blueberries, not the frozen ones. You can see the fresh blueberries in whole form. Light and fluffy, perfectly cooked. I get at least 1 pancake at each visit. 02. Breakfast Burrito - 4 Stars - Solid burrito and a good size. You can customize it to your liking, I got mine with Portuguese Sausage. The salsa that comes with it was tasty. 03. Strawberry N' Cream Pancake (kid's meal) $8 - 4 Stars - Great deal for the kids. The portion was big enough for an adult. 04. Chicken Katsu Waffles - 3.5 Stars - The Katsu was crispy (not seasoned enough) and the waffles were ok. Our least liked item from our visit. 05. Turkey Avocado Melt w/ Tater Tots - 4 Stars - Oh the Tots won me over. I haven't had a Tater Tots in so long. Good as I remembered. The turkey sando was simple but good. The bread was toasted perfectly. 06. Loco Moco w/ Fried Rice - 4 Stars - We sub the white rice for fried rice which is the way to go. The gravy was seasoned well and the eggs are done to your preference. If you want more gravy, just ask for more. PARKING - Lots of parking in the plaza so don't worry. CUSTOMER SERVICE - The staff are super friendly and always willing to help. The recognize you after a few visits. FOODS - I am a true fan. I haven't found a breakfast/brunch spot that has a great menu, good tasting foods and friendly service. This one checks all of my list. Food is tasty. Their drinks are good too. Walk up to order is pretty much the routine at most places lately, so it is hard to judge the service, though it would be nice if they came around and offered coffee refills. The restaurant is a few doors down from LA fitness and is surrounded by other restaurants/businesses. It had actually been in my bookmarks for quite some time so I was happy to have been able to finally try it. We arrived early afternoon, maybe an hour and a half before closing this past weekend. To no surprise the place seemed fairly busy, with a line out the door and all seating taken inside. We stood in line, browsed the menu, and were ready to order by the time we got to the counter. We ordered the Ube Coconut Belgium Waffle and the Spicy Chicken + Bacon Waffle. The food: - Ube Coconut Belgium Waffle: A plump Belgium waffle covered in strawberries, whip cream, some ube goodness, and coconut flakes. Super tasty and mildly sweet. I liked it a lot and licked the plate clean :P. - Spicy Chicken + Bacon Waffle: Not your typical chicken and waffle dish. It's quite overwhelming to look at haha. It's a Belgium waffle with good sized pieces of chicken katsu, bacon, cheddar cheese, spicy mayo, powdered sugar, and maple syrup. It's not love at first bite but it gets better as you get through it! Service was good, there wasn't much interaction with the workers except for ordering at the counter and the occasional water glass fill-up. There's some seating inside and plenty of seating outside. Parking is plentiful, no problem there. Depending on how busy it is you may have to walk a distance, but it's not terrible. I ordered the Avocado Omelette and a side of regular pancakes with a hot Mocha Latte. The omelette was so fresh tasting that I didn't want to add anything on top; I tried it with some Tapatio, but it really took the flavors away from fresh tasting. I can literally taste every ingredient as if they were just taken off the organic farm and chopped for my meal. It truly is something you need to try! These regular pancakes are the BEST pancakes I've ever had. I've eaten here few times before and have tried their other pancakes as well (which are good too) but these regular pancakes are SUPER DELICIOUS. I don't know what they do to make them taste so good. I eat it with melted butter and syrup. They serve the pancakes with wrapped butter sitting on the hot pancakes to help melt the butter for spreading. I used to love this place but the last 3 visits have been pretty bad as far as food goes. The flavor has greatly declined and it is starting to feel more of a diner food. Stale, cold and without flavor. I had their loco moco and their white rice didn't seem right. It was almost like instant rice. Then I had their meat scrambled egg- cant recall the actual name- it has the Portuguese Sausage, bacon and what not. It was as greasy as can be, eggs were overcooked (scrambled) and it was cold. Who wants to eat cold egg and meat? And I couldn't even taste the Portuguese sausage. Maybe their pancakes are still the bomb. Idk but from this last time and $47 bucks lost. There's a reason why there is always a line when you go here - the food and the price are good! I've visited another location already but here I got the Captain Mac Nut French Toast and Spam Musubi, and my boyfriend got the Loco Moco (with sauce on the side). Think I spent around $45 for both, but they are all filling and I usually have leftovers. How it works: You place your order at the register and they'll give you a number to put on your table. There are a lot of tables outside (the inside only has a few) so it shouldn't be a problem finding one. The lines tend to move at a good pace considering they only have one register. Would definitely come back again to try more stuff and also try a latte! read more

The place is not very big, but there are a few tables for sit down and plenty of tables to sit outdoors which is shared with other restaurants. An amazing place. I have been wanting to come here for years and it almost met all expectations. Cap Mac nut French toast: 9/10. So good but I hear the guava toffee is even better so I'll get that next time Ube pancakes: 10/10 met all expectations. The sauce was amazing. It was even better with the coconut syrup Soft shell crab omelette: 6/10 good but I would have preferred something like the kahlua pork omelette Shrimp chilaquiles: 7/10 I have never had shrimp in my chilaquiles. We got the little bites breakfast one with waffles and bacon and the second order with ube pancakes for an extra $5.00 and sausage was tasty . Gahhh I didn't take pictures but I've also had their breakfast burritos. I havent had a bad food choice as of yet . Quick Service. I stopped by on a Sunday at 10:30am and there was plenty of seating and my food came out very quickly. At around 11am a line formed so I guess thats around their morning rush? Loved the food. The guava syrup was very flavorful and the french toast was perfectly crunchy. The portions are generous and I was stuffed after eating.
