I ordered the Brekkie Tator tots special ($15.50) with Spam Fried Rice with iced coffee. My wife got corn beef hash with eggs and tator tots. Tasty and delicious. Pricing was reasonable, considering the quantity of food and taste fullness. Nice morning to sit outside while people watching and while leisurely catching up on what we did yesterday. One of my favorite places to get breakfast in Irvine - you can't really go wrong with anything here! I always get the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs with their potatoes (extra crispy!) and it's so good every time. My bf usually gets the Hibachi Steak and Eggs and that's delicious too. If we want something sweet, we'll usually go for the Ube Pancakes, the Captain Mac Nut French Toast, or the Banana Nutella Crepes (add strawberries). My husband's go-to is usually the fitness omelet, with a side of the fruity pebbles French toast. Whether or not you like this place is highly dependent on what you order, and how picky you are. For example, the ube pancakes will knock your socks off. Twice. So good!!! Came here on a Saturday morning. There was a long line and only 1 cashier taking orders. The line went out the door and the door was left open so sitting inside at a table was hotter than outside and we were in the middle of a heatwave. I understand it was a busy period so I let that go - but the taste of the food was disappointing. The avocado spinach mushroom omelet I ordered was disgusting. Tasteless - no salt. I could not get through it. The Kalua pork extra was dry and very disappointing too. Also got the pancakes which the kids couldn't eat. And the coffee was unpalatable. I thought this was a sit down place, but in reality, you line up, order, take a number and seat yourself. Staff will deliver your food and collect after your meal. I arrived around 10am on a Saturday morning and saw a line about 10 people deep. I don't think I waited too long, maybe about 15 minutes? Anyway, the menu displayed above is straightforward. Everything sounded appealing, but I settled on macadamia nut pancakes and their loco moco plate. Finding a table was easy; there's plenty of outdoor seating available. Food was out fairly quickly and it tasted good! I didn't feel pressured to finish up quickly which was very nice. Service was friendly and the area was fairly clean. We love coming here but today was a first that we had a bad experience. Food was great per usual but the service was terrible. Myra, who I believe is the manager by the till- extremely rude. She ignored our greeting, doesn't give a damn, laughed when I asked about sides, and was dismissive to my husband about his order number. No smile, no acknowledgment -- just unprofessional all around. Reading other reviews, it seems this isn't the first time. Aloha Stacks, hospitality shouldn't be optional. Thankful for the other server (wish I got her name), she was very sweet and accommodating to my toddler who asked for to go boxes. read more

It's been a while since I ate here. Actually I carried out today. Ordered breakfast egg burrito with Portuguese sausage. It was excellent! I love the green verde salsa it comes with. They wrap it in foil so it stays warm longer. Some places simply wrap the burrito in paper so it's barely warm by the time you get to it after the drive home. It didn't look extremely large but it was plenty because I was full after eating 2/3 of it. Going to save the rest for tomorrow! I came around 7:30 am on a weekday and the order came out within minutes. I know sometimes it can be hit and miss but today was a hit. For $11, this a good value in today's market. read more

If you sit at a table which is further away, just let the staff know when you order at the register. They kindly bring it to you. Remember to tip when you order, the friendly crew they bring your huge Lattes out to you in large white mugs. So good! If you want a less sweet latte, order it without sugar-syrup, add your own sweetner like honey etc. The regular coffee is refillable, you just have to go up to the counter to get your refill. Free parking. Very busy, so we usually sit by the Subway and they bring our food to the tables. Ube pancakes are on point. Kalbi rib plate & Katsu Chicken plate, Loco moco plate, onolicious brah! Do not confuse the Stacks on Culver with this location in the Woodbury shopping area near Irvine Blvd. The first time I went to the wrong location on Culver and was hugely disappointed. Today I wanted to try something different at Aloha Stacks. We usually have the Pancakes or French Toast for breakfast but wanted to try something hardier. I had the corned beef hash and eggs. The corned portions were disappointing and the fried had no seasoning. Tapatio always seems to make food come to life. My wife has the crab fried and it also lacked any seasoning. Both our eggs were perfect. My sister decided to join us and had plan white rice and Portuguese sausage and over easy eggs. Eggs cooked perfectly rice not over cooked and sausage was savory. I love coming to this location because of the convenience. There is plenty of parking on all sides of the shopping center. Indoor seating is limited, but there is plenty of outdoor seating available. The service is quick and we were able to get our food relatively quickly. I don't think I've ever had anything that I didn't like from here. This time around we got crab fried rice and island chilaquiles. There was a good amount of crab in the rice and it was full of flavor. The kalua pork on the island chilaquiles was juicy and had plenty of the smokey flavor. The eggs were cooked exactly as ordered and the green sauce was a great addition. read more

Aloha Stacks is an absolute must if you're a breakfast lover! The Ube pancakes are seriously addictive--like crack. The sauce on top is so good we've even tried to recreate it at home (but nothing beats the original). Their drinks and coffee are perfectly balanced, not too sweet or overpowering, and the omelettes are all amazing especially the Kalua Pork one. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I got the avocado omelette with buttermilk pancakes--both very good. Pancakes were fluffy and not overly sweet. Service was good considering it gets busy. We also got a plate of the Ube Coconut Pancakes to share, it's a staple order for us every time. I wasn't a fan of the chorizo scramble. I wasn't expecting the chorizo to be barely noticeable...Kalua Pork Omelette was good, just wish they put more of the salsa on top. Ube Pancakes were good, not too sweet, fluffy and delicious. Order at the counter, take your number and find a spot in the ample outdoor seating area. There's plenty of shade and the sound of the nearby fountain. My chilaquiles with two sunny side up eggs were actually perfect, with a good amount of spice in the pork, well seasoned refried black beans, and just-sticky-enough rice on the side. My friend got the Sunrise Bowl, which was possibly the world' largest bowl of oatmeal with plenty of toppings. Servers came around regularly with coffee refills. I would return! The food was tasty and the portions were extremely fair for the price! I wish I would've taken pictures of our plates before we inhaled our food. I ordered the island chilaquiles, which are flavorful with a tiiiiny bit of a kick. I wish I would've ordered a specialty flavor pancake, but my plate was filling as is. When we arrived, the line to order was long and out of the door, but it was deceiving. We got through to order pretty quickly. There's plenty of overflow seating outside if you come early enough. We went on a Sunday around 11 am. The line was long, but it is not a long wait and we got a table very soon. There is inside seating as well as outdoor. The outdoor seating seems very relaxing next to fountain or a meadow. We ordered a soft shell crab omelet($18), think this is the special of the day. It was fresh and yummy! It is in a decent size. My husband ordered a trio waffle and pineapple coconut pancake. The fruit on waffle are fresh and sweet. The waffle is not to hard or soft. It is just right. Came here for a Saturday girls brunch. Aloha stacks is definitely a poppin' restaurant in Irvine. Our food was delicious. We ordered the loco moco, light breakfast plate, breakfast burrito, and spicy chicken bacon waffle, and the ube coconut pancakes. I had the loco moco w/ burger patty and it was filling. They definitely give more rice than gravy. The house made gravy is so good! I wish there was more of it. The Uber pancake was surprisingly light and sweet. This was our "dessert" to share. If you go on the weekend you will be greeted with a long line out the door. We were little concerned but the line moved at a good pace. Our food came out faster than expected. Servers are hustling and bustling clearing the tables while being attentive. Inside of the restaurant is kind of small but there is PLENTY of outdoor seating. This spot is located in the Woodbury Town Center where there are a lot of parking spaces. Once you walk in, you'll order up at the counter and they'll give you a number. You can either sit indoors or outdoors. If you have a larger party or a pet tagging along, I would recommend sitting outdoors since the tables there have more seats. I've been a huge fan of Aloha Stacks since they opened their first location on Culver in Irvine. My love of their food continues at this Woodbury Center location. I came for a late weekday breakfast. The interior is smaller than other locations with less than a dozen tables. There are many outdoor patio tables that Stacks shares with other eateries, most with sunshades. I decided to eat outside where they are more than happy to deliver your meal. I ordered the meat lovers omelette and chose potatoes as my side. I also ordered a mocha latte. The women who took my order and delivered my food were chipper and polite. My omelette was perfect. Along with the cheddar jack cheese there was an abundance of pieces of Portuguese sausage, ham, and bacon. Delicious! My mocha latte had a nicely balanced chocolate and coffee taste. Again, perfect. GLUTEN FREE OPTION IS NOT GLUTEN FREE, high cross contact and grill is clean with water only. Do not come here if you have celiac or NCGS There were so many gluten free reviews of this place I decided to give it a shot. I asked about the food handling of the gluten "friendly" pancake which automatically means probably gluten filled and not safe. They cook this on the same grill and said they can clean the grill. I asked if that meant it was cleaned with more than just water and the woman looks at me and says.... "The grill is hot" What does the grill being hot have anything to do with cleaning properly? Heat can kill bacteria but not remove food particles. Please just remove the gluten free option entirely and everyone can be in a better position that way. Or maybe buy a pan that can be washed and used for the gluten free pancake? What restaurant doesn't have a pan? So weird. read more

While waiting for hot chocolates staff was distracted on phones and we got our drinks way after we got our food because we had to ask for them while other customers got their drinks almost immediately after ordering. We watched staff run around looking for which table ordered ube pancakes when we were right next to where you pick up drinks. They asked us did you order this instead of looking at the table number to confirm we even ordered it at all. After all that the food wasn't even hot. This restaurant has a solid menu. There are a lot of options that are a play off of what you could find in Hawaii. My only complaint about the menu is that there aren't many savory vegetarian options available. Mostly just the burrito or the omelette. I had the breakfast egg burrito with mixed vegetables. It was packed with eggs, potatoes, and veggies. The chips were also nice, crunchy, and seasoned, however, I could skip on the salsa provided. It tasted a little too acidic and salty for my taste. I also tried the Iced Ube Latte. The coffee was good, overall, however the ube taste was very muted. It kind of just tasted like a sweet milk latte. The aesthetics of the drink are beautiful though, so if you're looking to try a unique coffee I'd say go for it! The service here is great; the staff are very nice. There's plenty of parking available since the restaurant is located in a large center so you don't have to worry about searching for a parking spot. read more

A surprising 5 stars. A chain but actually pretty unique and all of the food was solid. Got the kids meal // for the not so hungry. Soooo delicious and for $6?!
