    Tea egg
    Angela C.

New restaurant that replaced Ever After so I was curious to try them out. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite empty even though they have been opened for a month already. I got their beef roll and pan fried beef buns, both which had really good taste. I personally like my beef rolls with warm meat, but they have theirs with cold cut meats and more tendon than meat. The pan fried beef is good in flavor but the bun dough itself was on the thicker side. They were no longer doing the tea egg promotion but lady was kind enough to offer it still since it was only a few days since they ended. For the tea egg, they're typically a lot more flavorful but it tasted more just like a boiled egg. You can order directly by scanning QR code on the table which made it convenient. It did take some time for the food to come out which I hope they improve on given we were the only ones in the restaurant. Staff was friendly and the restroom was clean. Will definitely come back to try their noodles and stir fry dishes!

Casual spot for Chinese food with good portions. We really enjoyed the stir fried cabbage I liked the tangy flavor. We do not recommend the salty egg yolk shrimp - the salty egg yolk flavor was oddly sweet and milky and it looks crispy but it's mushy. The green onion pancakes were pretty good but lacked the green onion flavor and was pretty plain. Service was ok! It's self ordering thru app and self serve water, they don't come take away empty plates when ur done. I will say though that they have ALOT of variety and dishes so we may have ordered the wrong dishes.

Driving to LA, it's always traffic. We exited to get some drinks at Starbucks while waiting for the traffic to slow down before driving again, and I noticed there's a Chinese restaurant just opened next 2 doors down. The staff said they first opened May 10 , 2026 We tried their House special pork belly , Stir fried pork liver & kidney , and braised pork intestine , since it looks like everything is so tasty, we just ordered White Rice instead of the Fried rice. You also get a complimentary Tea Egg as a part of their grand opening. Everything had a good portion and they were delicious. Ordering is easy, just go to the counter or order by scanning their QR code. Servers were friendly, lots of parking, and plenty of seating Indoors or outdoors.

Excellent stir fried pork in hot pot & pork buns. Service is minimum as only 1 server. Just newly opened and since after peak lunch time. Not too busy.

New favorite restaurant! First of all I would like to talk about my new obsession, Chinese tea egg! When they first gave it to me, I was actually put off. It did not look like something that I would enjoy, but I went ahead and took a bite out of it anyways and after that first bite, I have been in love with it! So much that I even learned how to cook it at home because this was amazing and they do give everybody one for free! Now their portion sizes are very generous! I've tried to streamed fish and wow, beautiful flaky, melting your mouth texture. The sauce on there is very good, not too sweet, not too savory, a perfect balance. I always try to go with a healthy option and I went with their bok choy. All I can say is good, standard, crunchy was still cooked all the way through. I've gotten their braised pork bowl and it's a great affordable lunch option. The port is so tender and soft and flavorful and they also give you half of a tea egg in the bowl. The service is very quick, but I will say they do bring out your meal as it's ready not altogether so I always end up getting a bok choy before my protein, which is OK but something to keep in mind! There are also very sweet and they will come around and give you water and check on you often. Restaurant is a very beautiful light bright light setting! Sometimes they are playing the TV sometimes they're not! If you do come into eat, this is a self seated restaurant! I was sad to see the previous restaurant leave however, this replacement is something that is new and improved and offer a better variety of dishes with a better more affordable price point, as well as faster service and the workers are a lot friendlier.

Came here around 2pm on a Sunday and was able to get a seat immediately. Ordering was easy through scanning a QR code on the table which opens up an online ordering menu on your phone. Based on the other yelp reviews I was really excited for the Shanghai soup dumplings but was crestfallen when I saw it was covered up on the menu and no longer offered on the online ordering menu. When asked, the owner lady (who was really nice) said that they opened in early May and that they've been modifying the menu to add and remove items. I didn't ask why they decided to remove the soup dumplings but was definitely disappointed. I ended up ordering the pan-fried dumplings, steamed fish, and lions head meatball. My favorite was the fish which was tender, flavorful, and generous with the portion size. The lions head meatball was tasty and the broth, refreshing. The pan-fried dumplings could have been better if the browned crust was crispier. Overall this restaurant is a nice addition to this plaza and I will be back to try their braised pork which looked amazing. I wish the owner success at this location since this will be the 3rd or 4th restaurant to be in this spot since I've been living in Irvine (Ever After Tearoom and Class 302 being there previously)

    Beef Wrap (Chinese Crepe)

About 3 weeks ago, I discovered this place while randomly scrolling through Yelp. I decided to give it a try because it had good reviews for a new place. Since then, I have visited once a week, introduced this place to a friend, and we both really enjoyed it! When you first walk in, the restaurant has a very clean and calm atmosphere with hints of its origin and culture. You can order take out via the Kiosk by the cashier, or you can seat yourself and order via the QR code. I've always dined in because the food is so fresh and delicious! Forgive me for not taking a photo of each meal that I've ordered and tried... I could not resist just devouring everything as soon as it came out! I was able to take a few photos so enjoy those for now (maybe you can take your own photos if you can resist not inhaling it like Kirby & myself). *House Special Lamb Offal Soup: If you like lamb soup, this is a must order. The soup tastes so good and healthy (my favorite part). The meat is cooked well (chewy tripe texture, yum!) But a fair warning to those who do not know/like the taste of liver - just pick that piece out if it's too exotic for you (cause it's not for everyone!) Note: it does NOT come with noodles! Personally I like that it's just delicious, healthy soup and meat. Have yet to order noodles with it, so we'll see once I do. *Pork & Shepherds Purse Dumplings (12 Pcs): MUST ORDER IMO (in my opinion). Juicy, REAL meat and veggies (not paste-filling), all packaged in just the right chewiness skin. Can also be said about: - House Special Dumplings 12Pcs (Pork & Cabbage) - Pork & Cabbage Dumplings 12Pcs * Beef & Onion Dumplings 12Pcs: Pretty good, but I personally like the pork flavored dumplings more. * Pork Bun (6) Good quality, flavor, texture, and is juicy. * Chinese Tea Egg Simply exactly what it's called! Delicious. * Beef Wrap (Chinese Crepe) Served "cold" with fresh, thinly sliced cucumbers for a nice crunchy texture. Good skin, not too much sauce (a good thing), and decent meat portions. Pretty good overall. * Braised Beef Noodle Soup Good flavor, great noodles, good portion size, decent meat quality (can't remember fully because it was a shared dish) As long as Mama Ma's Kitchen continues doing these 5 things well, I will continue to come back: 1. The place is CLEAN 2. The SERVICE is great 3. The PRICES are reasonable 4. The PORTION sizes are good 5. The QUALITY and taste of the food remains amazing! TLDR; I recently discovered this place. It's SO GOOD and worth sharing with others!

We ordered beef and broccoli, orange chicken, shrimp and pork dumplings, shrimp fried rice, chicken chow mein, shrimp wonton soup. Everything was delicious and we devoured everything. Good service and everything came out hot and fast. The vibe was calm and relaxing.

    Egg (free)

I didn't know that everafter tea got replaced by this store, so I stumbled on it by accident. Anyways it's a chinese place that specializes in soup dumplings and dumplings. The owner (I think) is super sweet and attentive, and the food is pretty decent too. The xlb I got was $9.99 which is much cheaper than ding tai dung, and the quality was pretty solid as well with flavorful soup and meat. The house dumplings were also good, so big ups overall - 7.5/10. The place itself is hella new and you can tell, basically nobody was inside when I went but if you want xlb without paying dtf prices you should try this place out.

smashed cucumber. a touch of sesame oil would have been nice but the portion was large for $6.99

I'd found this restaurant on Yelp and convinced the others to join me in checking it out. It's a relaxed spot where you order at the register, receive a number, and then find your own seat. I usually feel rushed making menu choices when there's a line behind me, but this time, we were the only ones waiting, and the kids quickly decided on their breakfasts. Finding a table for four was effortless. The cashier was neutral--neither especially friendly nor rude, simply efficient at her job. My man really enjoyed his coffee, and I liked mine too, though I can't quite remember which kind of latte I ordered. We shared a Salmon Eggs Benedict--a perfect combination of poached egg, creamy hollandaise, and smoked lox. Delicious! My daughter ordered the kids' pancake with egg and bacon and said it was good. My partner's daughter opted for a huge breakfast burrito with chorizo--she liked it, but couldn't finish the generous portion. It was the perfect way to enjoy our final breakfast in Irvine.

We felt rushed to make a decision but appreciated that they at least controlled the line to ensure there was a seat ready before letting us in to order - just wish they made it more clear somewhere. Plenty of parking, decent service although busy, would be back to try more of their options. This time around we ordered: - Breakfast Burrito (4/5): huge portion for price, loved the flavors and how cheesy this was; wish the salsa did a better job at adding spice and cutting through the heaviness of the dish but the pico de Gallo in the burrito helped with that - Fried chicken sandwich (4/5): Pretty sizable and filling sandwich. Chicken is fried well and juicy. While there was slaw in the sandwich to add some extra tang it should have been complemented with a sauce to make it a little less dry. Got this with fruit on the side which helped balance out the sandwich.

Had to opportunity to check this place out prior to our trek back to NorCal, immediately following AYCE shabu, and I'm glad I didn't pass up on the opportunity, given that my stomach has seemingly reached full capacity. As we entered, we were gifted the pleasure of a warm greeting by a staff member who then sat us down and gave us first-timers a brief overview of the menu, his recommendations, and a brief history lesson about the origin of Fluffy Fluffy. After some waiting, we were presented with three aesthetically pleasing plates of these highly hyped fluffy pancakes. I then grabbed a knife and fork to cut into the stack of pancakes and was astonished by how... for a lack of better word, fluffy they were. Upon first bite, I expected a rush of sugar to register after a few seconds of chewing. However, that sensation never came. The pancakes were just the right level of sweet. A few minutes later, the plates were completely cleared and I was back to suffering from again reaching full capacity and thought to myself, "when will I ever learn?". All in all, great hospitality from staff, clean and upbeat ambiance, and most importantly excellent dessert items that were easy to consume without the feeling of developing instantaneous diabetes after finishing. Highly recommended.

I finally had a chance to eat a very late breakfast on a weekday at their restaurant located at The Bluffs shopping center. The interior is about the smallest of any Aloha Stacks I've been to. While there are minimal tables indoors, there are many under a huge covered patio to the side plus a few more tables under umbrellas in front. It was nearly noon and I had no problem finding an indoor table after ordering at the counter. I ordered a plate of regular French toast with side containers of coconut syrup along with a serving of Portuguese sausage and an iced mocha latte. My food and drink were delivered to my table in a few minutes. By the way, all the staff here are so cheerful and helpful! My French toast was done perfectly - 3 pieces cut in half. Although it's not on the menu (I guess it's a secret item), I always ask for coconut syrup when I order French toast or pancakes. It comes very creamy in the containers but once spread, it semi-liquifies into a syrupy consistency and is DELICIOUS! Be sure to ask for it and give it a try. I am a huge fan of their Portuguese sausage. It balanced the sweetness of my French toast and has excellent flavor with a hint of spiciness. The iced mocha was good with a strong chocolate taste, more so than coffee. I've loved every meal I've had at different Aloha Stacks locations and this one is no exception.

Very cool and relax spot, with great outside area for summer nights…read more We came for early dinner and the restaurant slowly got busier but our server was on it the whole time. He was very funny and gave us excellent recommendations. We tried the brussels and the artichoke florets for appetizers and they were delicious, great way to start the meal. He highly recommended the sea bass in curry and I was blown away by it. So flavorful and perfectly cooked fish. The only down side was the rice, they were a few hard lumps that were uneatable. Everyone else enjoyed their meal except for the kids. They didn't like the taste of the burgers. My husband raved about the pork chop and I saw the fried chicken sandwich from a distance, it looked huge. A little pricy but I would love to come back and try a couple of other things.
