This is why I love to travel!!!

This is what I love about traveling! Finding spots like this! I know I'm in SoCal, but this took me back to hawaii. The kalbi and eggs were great. The kalbi marinade wasn't too strong for bfast. Was really good. The Ube pancakes were so good. Just like I had in hawaii! Service was really friendly and the experience overall was great. I know this is a chain but wow I'll be back.

Best kept secret! I just learned that the Stacks' kid menu is also for those "not so hungry " - you can get French toast, waffle or pancake with bacon or sausage and an egg for just $9!! Such a deal! The cashiers are consistently cheerful as is their food at this casual breakfast place w a Hawaiian vibe. (Tator tots were $5 and super crispy and delicious.)

We stopped by here after church for some breakfast. Wow! We absolutely loved it! My husband loves trying new places and loves spam. This was a perfect little place to go. It gets REALLY busy, so you want to try to come before the crowd hits or after. It's small but there is some outdoor seating as well. Would highly recommend giving this place a try! So yummy!

My family affectionately call this joint BabyStacks. Food is always good all the way around. The waffle and French toast do not need any syrup. Who needs dead calories anyways! Just The Soft shell crab omelette was lightly flavored. It actually is a veggie omelette with a fried soft shell crab on top. It can get very busy in here especially on the weekends but the servers keep churning out the island love. When it comes to ambience big things can come in simple packages. I leave with more than I expect. Love is in the food. I would consider this a soul food.

you'd like pickup or dine there! There were lots of seating outside and it was a nice corner area. We ordered the Kalua pork Benedict and pancakes. The Benedict was really delicious! It was slightly salty in some parts but overall was such a delicious meal. Would love the potatoes to be crispier. They also had some really interesting items I'd lov

this is a great Hawaiian inspired brunch spot in the OC. to my knowledge, not much like it here! it's a casual setting where you order then sit at our table, but they're very quick with food. we went with our family and everyone loved what they got. some have even been back a few times. I got the chicken katsu loco moco. I enjoyed how there were multiple loco moco options. the chicken katsu was fried well. the gravy was a little bland and light in my opinion, could have used possibly some soy sauce or something else to make it a little more flavorful. my husband got the musubi and the katsu curry, both which he liked. they had some interesting specials like ribeye chilaquiles and omurice and prime rib loco moco, wish I could try those all too!

Price is pretty good for the amount of food you get. We got our food pretty quick after we ordered. I like that there's a communal eating area outside in case your friends want other choices. I got the loco Moco with hamburger meat. The meat was a bit bland for me and had a ton of rice. My friend and I really liked their pancakes though!

Stopped by Stacks in Newport and ordered the Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict and the Chicken Katsu Curry with a fried egg. The portions were solid and everything looked great coming out, but a few things missed the mark. The Kalua pork was flavorful and tender, but the eggs were overcooked, not the runny poached eggs you expect from a proper Benedict. They also barely used any hollandaise, which made the dish feel dry. The potatoes on the side were soggy and lacked that crisp texture you hope for. On the flip side, the chicken katsu curry was the better of the two dishes. Overall, the meal was just okay. Could be a great brunch spot with better execution and a little more attention to detail.

The server spilled egg on my shoe and table and didn't even apologize or wiped the table down

Food and service was not good Food had no flavor And service was poor due the the server who brought out the food and didn't even apologize for spilling egg yolk on my leg and shoe I definitely wouldn't come back to this restaurant Save your money peeps!!

I typically don't like going places that are overhyped, but this meal was so good and so worth it! Although the lines seem to be out the door, it went very quickly. We had our food super quick as well, and everyone was so friendly. The food was delicious! We were able to snag a table inside, but I can see that seating could be an issue here. I got the eggs, Benedict with pork, and my hashbrowns a little bit well done. Highly recommend ordering them a bit crispy! Also had a couple bites of the Ube pancakes, and they were so good warm!

I came in right at opening on a Wednesday morning. Everything on the menu is an available and the service is great. You order first and then the food gets brought to your table. I ordered a plate with kalbi ribs, fried rice, and macaroni salad. I also got a side of kaula pork. Unfortunately the food was way too salty and I think they cooked it in way too much soy sauce making the bites into the ribs unpleasant. The macaroni salad was not great, hard noodles and bland. The pork was a bit better and you got a good serving for a side order. Other than that maybe other items are better, maybe I'll try pancakes next time. The restaurant is very clean and in a mall so plenty of parking. I also liked they played music with explicit versions lol

Better location than the one in El Monte. Was in Orange County with my boyfriend for a staycation during Labor Day weekend and decided to give this location a try. It was definitely better. The kalbi was delicious, flavorful and tender. The eggs were cooked well, and runny. The loco moco was good. The beef patty itself was a bit overcooked and dry. Still had great flavor and egg was runny as well. Overall, great experience, lots of seating inside and outside. I do recommend sitting outside if you don't care about flys as inside was pretty warm.

First time trying our Stacks pancake house. We weren't too hungry so hubby and I decided to share a meat lovers omelette with spinach added and our side upgraded to Ube pancakes which came with 2 pancakes. I also ordered a Hot Hawaiian Latte to try. Everything was delicious. The pictures definitely taste as good as it looks. We came about 8:00 am on a Saturday morning and there was a good amount of people already. Good amount of seating inside but plenty of seating outside. You rode at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. Service was excellent efficient and food came out fairly quickly. My Hawaiian latte had to go back for a new one as my cup was filthy dirty! They were quick to replace it with a fresh one in a clean cup! I loved my Ube pancakes as it was just the right sweetness. The texture of the pancakes was similar to mochi pancakes so it made it even more yummy! You definitely want to try this place if you are in the area!

Even during peak brunch hours, the atmosphere stays lively rather than chaotic, which already puts it ahead of many popular spots in the area. We went straight for the Rib Eye Melt and the Steak & Eggs, and both were standout choices. The Rib Eye Melt was the star: tender, flavorful steak layered with perfectly melted cheese on crisp, buttery bread that balanced richness with texture. Every bite felt indulgent but well executed. The Steak & Eggs delivered exactly what you want from a classic done right -- a well-seasoned steak with a beautiful sear, cooked perfectly and paired with eggs that tied the plate together into a satisfying, no-frills brunch win. Service stayed attentive and efficient despite the crowd, and dishes came out paced perfectly. Great Maple understands elevated comfort food and executes it consistently well. The strawberry donuts were a great finish, amazing texture unlike any donut, almost a cross between a donut and bagel but better than both. So why the 3? From the moment we sat down the service was off. The server didn't bother to ask our side of the table what we wanted to drink, nor did he give us a menu til I asked. And when I asked for a water he responded, "You want another water?" I wasn't even given a water to begin with.

The Butter Basted Hokkaido Scallops with black mussels was delicious. My generous portion of Chilean seabass with asparagus risotto was flavorful & well prepared. The Prime Skirt Steak looked appealing but was just average. It lacked flavor. What really left a bad impression was the issue with the seabass portions. My daughter arrived later & ordered the exact same Chilean Seabass dish, but her piece was literally about 1/3 the size of mine. We politely asked our server about the obvious difference. Eventually, a manager came out with a condescending tone insisting everything is weighed equally. The extra piece he brought out was basically the same small size as the first one my daughter received. At that point, the experience was already soured. We didn't even bother taking the extra piece or her leftovers home. Good cocktails & a few strong dishes, but the inconsistency & dismissive customer service would make us think twice about returning.

On top of that, the kitchen absolutely overloaded it with garlic to the point where it completely overpowered the flavor of the meat. And it came from a breakfast joint, which is super rare in and of itself. Having lived in Southern California for many many years, I thought I had seen and experienced just about everything in the way of good places to eat. As I was driving around looking for some breakfast, I stumbled across oeb breakfast. And I am so glad I did. For starters, when you walk through the door, the place is bright and Cherry and has just the right amount of whimsy. It's neatly laid out and everything is in full view. It only took a moment my server to come get me at the front and direct me to a table. Let's talk about the service. Having been in the food service industry, I know what it takes to have a great dining experience. Caesar, who was my waiter, took care of me in a level that I have not seen in a very long time. Personable, gracious, accommodating, and helpful are just a few of the words I would use to describe my experience being served by him. I asked for coffee and water and within moments it arrived on my table. Side note, the coffee is off the chain! It is a brand called Umbria and it is amazing. After scanning the menu, I opted for the beef bulldogi Benedict with the beef Tallow fries. I asked for the fries extra crispy, and ask for my milk to be served with breakfast. If you've read any of my Yelp reviews on breakfast places, you know that that is one of my litmus tests for the accuracy of the order. If I have to ask for my milk after the meal's been delivered, they're not doing their job. Not that I'm picky, for me. It is just a way to determine how good of a listener the server actually is. It didn't take long at all for the food to be delivered. The presentation was absolutely amazing, as we eat with our eyes. First, I have to say that the way the food was plated was definitely a work of art. Once the food was dropped off half of me was going. I wonder if they will remember... And before I could finish my thought Caesar showed back up with the milk. Home run! The food itself was absolutely wonderful, I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a breakfast as much as this one. All the flavors were there, it was perfectly balanced, and was just a pleasant dining experience overall. Bragging on Caesar again, as I was sitting there, the restaurant started to get very busy, he handled himself with such Grace and poise and didn't let the mounting tension frazzle him. Again, I wish this place was in my hometown so I could come here more often, but you can bet that I will be back here multiple times. Bottom line? There aren't many places that I would tell friends they definitely absolutely had to go to. But oeb breakfast is now on the top of the list for me to recommend to my friends.
