Definitely a gem! This place is entirely Gluten Free! My partner has celiac disease so finding a place like this is incredibly rare! We ordered a beer flight and the Third Contact was my favorite for sure. For food we ordered Mac and cheese balls, chicken nuggets w/ fries, and the grilled cheese. They were all very tasty! I was pretty let down by my experience here. To be fair, I only saw the pretty positive reviews but didn't truly read that it was all gluten-free. Had I known that, i probably wouldn't have come. Neither of the IPAs we got I enjoyed at all and I do feel like it was probably the gluten. But beyond this, there were some other things that were less enjoyable. For one, the space is really cramped. There happened to be a big party on one side of the place which took up a fair amount of space and seemed to overwhelm some of the capacity. And the pricing for the beers I found to be quite inflated, not sure if that's a tincture of the gluten-free aspect, but certainly disproportionate to other places nearby. My favorite part I will say was the vibe and the decor. I don't totally know, however, why they chose to play some skateboarding competition on the TV in the setting of the rest of the vibe. read more

Being a person who must eat gluten-free, it pains me to not leave a great review for a place that is 100% gluten-free. We made reservations for the chicken Katsu sandwiches. When we walked in, we didn't see anyone working there and didn't really know what to do. However, I was very excited, as I always am to try a new gluten-free place. When the employee walked out from the back, I excitedly walked up to him and said hi, this is our first time here... What do we do? He pointed me to the board behind him with all the beers listed. I told him we had reservations for the food, and he just said, "Oh, do you want them?" Yes, please! Seeing the sign on the counter I said oh, you have beignets today? He said yes. I said oh my gosh, we'll have to get those after we eat! After that, my friend and the guy working there decided on what she was going to get in her beer sampler, and I asked him for an ice water because I don't drink beer. We sat down at a picnic table. She and I have not seen each other in a long time, so we were busy talking and catching up. He brought the sampler and walked away, and I assumed he would bring the water. Eventually, he brought the chicken Katsu sandwiches and put those down. I asked for a water again. He poured a water out of a pitcher and as he put the glass down, he said we don't have any ice. He also let us know there was some kind of sauce that they didn't have either. He gave us orange sauce which was really good, and coleslaw on the side in a little dish, but no silverware. My friend asked for silverware, and he just stood there as if he had no idea what she was talking about. She then explained that she needed a fork for the coleslaw. He said, "You want a fork?" He still seemed confused. She said yes, I don't know how else to get the coleslaw out of the dish unless I use my hands. He did bring forks, and the chicken was very good, although all the buns were completely black on the bottom. After we ate the sandwiches, we saw him deliver fries to another table and I looked at her and said wait, they have fries? And then we realized that there is a digital menu card sitting on the table. Like I said, this was our very first time there and that was the first thing I told him. When I told him I had ordered the sandwiches, it seems like he would have said check out the menu on the table and let me know if you want anything else, or he could've said something like would you like to also order fries with that? Just some kind of guidance. I didn't end up ordering the beignets after this experience. I don't want to speak on the beers because I don't like beer to begin with, and my friend has never encountered a gluten-free beer, so she wasn't a fan. She did like one of them. What we didn't like was the lack of enthusiasm or helpfulness from the person working there. Also, it was freezing outside and the front door was wide open. The guys that were there playing their game went outside and were smoking right outside the door. So it was freezing and reeked like smoke inside. Chatted with another couple that were visiting from out of town too, seemed as though we all enjoyed the vibe, beer and food. The absolute best onion rings I have ever had. Service was great. Beertender took care of us. Answered all our questions. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich which was great! The pierogis were good as well as the bloomin' onion. Lower part of the onion was a tad undercooked and we didn't necessarily care for the sauce for the pierogis. The ambiance was soooo nice. Loved the music, the lighting, the atmosphere. First time here and we stood around wondering who worked here, can we sit anywhere? How's this work? My friend is gluten free and I was game to try this place with her. The "bartender" seemed annoyed from the get-go. We pre ordered the chicken katsu, which wasn't bad. But when we asked for a spoon or some type of silverware to get the coleslaw he looked stupefied...until after minutes of explaining why, I had to ask if we're supposed to scoop it out with our hands?! They were out of ice, out of sauce, out the dish to put sauce in, out of 2 of the 3 items listed on the sign. The beer? Well, the "bartender" wasted more trying to pour it than we got in our 6 sampler. Only one was drinkable. Although he did replace one randomly saying "yeah, there's a bug in it"..... In short, no one wants to go spend money at a business where they're treated as an annoyance, and not a paying customer. This small brewery is in an unassuming business plaza but when you walk in, it almost feels like you've entered a private hangout spot at Hogwarts. I really love the LED candlelights strung with invisible thread on the ceilings to imitate floating candles. It was my first time here so the guy working the register was super helpful in providing guidance and recommendations. I did not know that all of their beers are gluten free! How cool! I opted for something sweet and got the berry seltzer which was great! It's on the less carbonation side which I personally prefer. My friend and I brought our own game to play, but it looks like on certain nights they host tournaments and they also have plenty of their own board games you can play. Stopped here mid-weekish. Bartender was really nice to welcome us and introduce the various brews. The main grain brewed with here is millet, which is how they produce gluten free beer. I had never heard of gluten free beer before so when I saw that I had to give it a try. Was nice to learn a little more about how this happens. It is a little dark and cozy inside, which projects into the beverages. Where many breweries are going airy and bright, this brewery is forging its own path. It makes the place feel small and intimate, keeps the mood personal. They have a sample limit of 2 brews, but luckily I got to try 3 and found something on the 3rd (the samples are just enough to wet the tongue and it limits the ability to commit to one. Folks in the area who want the gluten free options are lucky to have this place with these on tap. For the most part the millet imparts a deeper flavor profile than wheat based beers, it seems is a heavier/flatter profile on the palette despite the carbonated aspect of the beer. I went for the "Blanca Nieves White" which drank like a 90s Pale Ale. One of the samples was a very dark ale "La Moreno" this was a bit overwhelming for me and if you like deep malted beers this might be your thing; as I tried it I wondered if it might be nicer carbonated on Nitrogen? Didn't lean in to another after trying the first, but left feeling like I cheated my fat storage system and not satisfied like traditional beer. This brew may take a few to get used to for traditional beer heads. One thing that needs to improve is the smell of mold as you approach the entrance. It is heavy and almost caused a turnaround before going in. read more

Wow, brewery is truly gluten free! I love that they are completely gluten free and not just "gluten reduced." I also cannot have corn, and the owner there was able to direct me to which beers had been made with corn, and which were not. I appreciated them being so knowledgeable and they have great recommendations. We came here during the week to pick up some cans for a friend, so we just had a few tasters. It was fun to taste the different offerings. They also do their canning in house, so they can can anything that you try that's on tap. I heard they have trivia and host some fun events also. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was that the furniture was a bit mis-matched. Not just "good for a gluten free" brewery THIS PLACE IS GOOD PERIOD. I was unfortunately diagnosed with Celiacs a couple of years ago and beer was one of the things I missed the most. I am so fortunate to have found this place that has an incredible selection of craft brews on tap all gluten free. My favorites are their Moka Diosa (a coffee stout), and their Divine Lite (a lite low carb beer that tastes a lot like Asahi), but they are continually experimenting and changing their beers like a true micro brewery. The same beers won't quite taste the same batch to batch as they are always refining and experimenting. Last time I went in and was surprised to find a sour ale that was one of my favorites. I'm really picky about sour ales and this was the first time in probably a decade I had one that made me want more. If you get a chance you should definitely stop in, and if you are gluten free, you absolutely MUST stop in. read more

Sad that Taps is no longer around, I was looking for a brewery in the area and randomly found this one. Found out all of their beers are gluten free. I don't have a gluten allergy, but have enjoyed rice lagers and other gluten free options in the past. So we came here to try it, mostly out of curiosity and location. Came in and saw a few beers that sounded interesting, but wasn't sure what would fit my taste buds. Asked for a taster of 2 different beers and was told that they don't do tasters, they have to charge me for a sampler. That's fine. Tried the first beer, didn't really like it. Decided to go for the second beer and just got a pint so I wasn't buying samplers all night. My wife was frustrated that they didn't have any seltzer or cider options, so she was trying to pick between 2 beers as well. The bartender tried to describe the difference, but they both sounded kinda the same. Wife picked one. We closed out for round 1 and were shocked with a bill of $28 for effectively 2 beers. Oh, so that's why there's no prices on the board. We grudgingly drank our beers and left right after. Had the beers been good, the samplers been free (so we could ensure we got a beer we were happy with), or the prices been posted so we weren't hit with sticker shock, we likely would have stayed for 2 or 3 rounds.
