After a magical trip to Disneyland Park, we were looking for a local breakfast spot to recharge before heading home and The Omelette House absolutely did not disappoint! It was our first time eating here, and even though they were busy, the short wait was completely worth it. The service was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and efficient despite the morning rush. You could tell the staff genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. I ordered the fried egg breakfast sandwich, and it was an absolute hit. Perfectly cooked egg, flavorful ingredients, and paired with their seasoned house potatoes, it was everything you want in a hearty breakfast. Simple, satisfying, and done really well. My family loved their meals just as much, and everyone left full and happy. I also tried the French toast, which was equally delicious. Great food, great service and we couldn't have asked for a better way to end our Disneyland trip. Horrible service. To start, I asked for coffee, because I hadn't had any yet. The family of four that came in behind me all got drinks, the man that came in 10 minutes later got his latte, and I still had no coffee and had to walk up to the counter to ask for some. Yeah I was a little miffed, I need my coffee. Then my food arrived, with toast and no jam. No one ever checked on me after my plate was dumped off. No "can I get you anything else?" or "is everything ok?" Nothing. So the bread made a round trip to the kitchen and into the garbage. I would've eaten it had anyone offered me jam. I had to get the other server to get my ticket. The table next to me also had a pile of plates that had been sitting. The omelette really was nothing special. No spice in a Spanish Omelette, plain tomatoes and avocado with ground beef. I ordered an omelette from an "Omelette House". This is their speciality? I've been dining in & ordering takeout about 5x in the last 2 months. Each time has been a great experience. The food is delicious, made perfectly everytime. Their berry good French toast is gorgeous & a must order to share with a group. On the more simple side, their pancakes are SO perfectly fluffy & delicious! We came in around 11:20 for a late breakfast on a Wednesday. There are about 9 tables inside and 2 tables outside. It wasn't too crowded but there were only 2 tables available inside (good sign always that it's popular). We were immediately greeted and sat at a nice sized table. My partner started his day with a hot caramel macchiato. He said it was tasty but hot. He got the Hobo Omlette and I got the Chorizo Burrito. We split an order of Banana pancakes as well. All the food was a good size/decently portioned. The Burrito was the length of my plate, his omlette took up the entire plate, and the Banana Pancakes were about the size of my face! All in total with the macchiato it was $40 which felt pretty reasonable given the cost of eggs at the time I am writing this review. If you are looking for a "fancy" breakfast this is not the place, but the friendly vibe, the neighborhood feel was definitely there! We will be back again for SURE! read more

I came here for breakfast with a friend at 10 AM on a Wednesday. The place had a cozy small-town feel -- No frills, just a few wooden tables in a modest lil' restaurant. My friend and I were immediately greeted by a really nice waiter, who took our drink orders and provided recommendations from the menu. I asked if they used fruit or powder in their smoothies, to which he replied, "we use both". I ordered a mango banana smoothie which looked way better than it tasted; It had a weird artificial candy flavor. My friend ordered orange juice, which he also said did not taste good. Fortunately, however, the food was alright! My Tasso omelette was as expected, hearty and filled with chunks of meat, and the home style fries (potatoes) were soft and filling. The waiter frequently checked up on us, refilling waters and jam appropriately as needed. I give this place 3 stars because although the entrees were good and our initial server was kind, the drinks were terrible and there was a bug in my water that another worker didn't seem too apologetic about. Also, $21 (before tip) for breakfast is a bit steep. Would I come back here again? Maybe. But also, there are other diners around that could probably do better. read more

Solid 4 stars. I mean, just LOOK at that French toast. It's beautiful! Only issue was I had about 7 bites where I could taste my husband's omelette on the bottom of my French toast. Not a total dealbreaker, but not pleasant. He thought there would be more to his omelette given the restaurant name. His Mama Mia was just okay. Perhaps it should be called the French Toast House?! It's been years since I came here. But today, I was reminded what a great little breakfast spot this is. We walked in a little before noon and were able to get seated right away! Good solid 4-star review for this small place out in Garden grove. Came here by chance as we were attending an event a couple of miles from here. Place had good reviews, and I am a big breakfast guy, so off we go. The place was busy and happening. Had a small wait for a table but only a few minutes. The place was pretty clean, all of the waitstaff were nice and friendly. We were a group of 4 on this Saturday. I'm really happy that there wasn't more of a wait. Everyone was hustling, nobody seemed to not be busy. But also, everyone was pleasant and seemed eager to help and answer questions about the menu. They made it a point to keep our waters and coffees filled, checked on us multiple times over several of the waitstaff, a definite plus in my book. On to the food... Coffee was decent, nothing to rave about but it was hot, and they kept it filled. That's enough for a breakfast. A couple of the party had omelets but two of us had eggs to order. I want to shout out to the cook doing the eggs...THEY WERE SPOT ON! Thank you. You really knew the difference between over easy, medium and hard. I hate sending my eggs back and I didn't have to here and neither did the other person. Lots of good stuff in the omelets, they did not skimp on the fillings. Pricing was more than fair, a good value for the money for sure. Everything came fast from time to order to the time it hit the table. The French Toast got rave reviews at the table. Carnival omelet was praised as well. So, you might ask, with all of these wonderful things, why not a 5-star? I really wanted to and will update after going back again to try more things. But here we go... I had asked for my home style potatoes to be a little extra crispy, please. They were not. And the green bell pepper in them was raw, so they were a little bit big and raw in the dish. Needed to be cooked for just a couple of minutes to soften them or make them smaller. And when I say a little extra crispy, I mean a little extra crispy on the potatoes. Please look at all of my other breakfast reviews, you will see that I order these this way every single time. I know that I didn't forget and after asking my companions, they all heard me say that to the waitstaff. I also asked for my Corned Beef Hash to be a little extra crispy as well. It was not, please see pictures. I was also a bit disappointed that it was a canned product and not homemade. But either way, it was not extra crispy. A slightly better coffee would help too. I hope to go back and try some other items and hope to kick this up to 5-stars. I know that they can do it if they try. And I have a feeling that they will. This review is long overdue but I love Omelette House. I've been going for years and I alternate between an omelette or the Traditional but you really can't go wrong with anything you order. Home fries are seasoned well and the toast has the right amount of butter.
