Haven't been back here for a long long time and so glad that I decided to stopped by to get a bagel for breakfast. Good Parking lot, nice and clean store (still the same decor but brighter) but I think they changed the owner the last time I was here. But either way, fantastic bagel. Big and soft & chewing inside bad crust outside. I ordered chorizo bagel, delish! Big thick and flavorful tasty. Staff are just down to earth and very friendly. Plenty of choices of bagels with dishes and variety of drinks. They do have tables & a couch inside for dine in. Just yum! read more

I used to go here often but it's been a while. Today I had a craving and I woke up at 6 AM today to buy these bagels and drove and made my way all the way to this shop to get bagels... the store was empty just 2 workers and 2 customers waiting for food. I asked for half a dozen bagels which is just 6. Their selection was very sparse and they just opened at 5:30 am I asked for 4 jalapeño cheese and was denied the staff said I couldn't buy all of the jalapeño cheese...you would think a bagel shop would sell their customer bagels but nope I was left empty handed I was only given two... she said if I wanted more I had to chose from the other dull selections of bagels. No thank you not wasting my carbs on other basic bagels (plain, onion, garlic, sesame). I like to eat these bagels but I'm so disappointed in the service and their inventory they are always so low on items not sure why they don't just make more. Since I know it's always low I woke up extra early today to grab bagels but what a lost cause... It's not fair it should be a first come first serve basis. If there are rules on how many bagels you can get they should post it on a large sign and let it be known and not have people waste their time to drive all the way here to be denied to buy bagels. I'm going to find a new bagel shop this shop is a waste of time and I have lost my appetite. read more

Such a great bagel shop! The bagels are massive and they are not skimpy on their toppings. This is my second time getting the chorizo bagel and it will always be my favorite. Señor Bagel is the best bagel shop I've found in California. I'm originally from New Jersey and New York so I am accustomed to good bagels. When I moved to California I was trying hard to find a bagel shop that resembled an east coast bagel shop. Other ones I have found were good, but still weren't quite right. Quick meal for Saturday brunch while doing errands. I had the bacon egg and cheese in jalapeño bagel and my husband had the same but instead of bacon he got sausage. Bagels are made fresh every day and I feel so lucky to be living across the street from here! My go to is the salmon and cream cheese bagel & their orange juice. I usually get the Works or plain bagel and both are perfect. The bagels are the perfect amount of chew to softness as well as flavor. And their orange juice is fresh squeezed and sweet!!! Every time I come here I'm welcomed very warmly and treated like I'm the only customer there even when they're busy. Interior has a good amount of space/ seating. Had been wanting to try this place for a few months now. Service was good. I got cinnamon bagel for my son and he said they could've added more cream cheese to it for his liking. I normally don't crave for food that primarily consists of bread, but these bagels are so delicious I could eat them over & over again! You can also call to order take out. I used to like coming here because I wanted to support small family businesses. The owner is nice, but the guy who prepares the food and sometimes works the register is rude. This isn't the first time I've encountered him, and he's given me attitude before. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's clear he really hates his job. The owner needs to talk to him before he drives customers away. I definitely won't be coming back after both of my orders were wrong. I noticed he had an earphone in and clearly wasn't paying attention when taking my order. My mom is allergic to dairy, and I specifically told him no cheese--so what do I find in the croissant? Cheese. My bagel had ham when I had asked for sausage. I was already home, and driving back just to deal with his attitude again wasn't worth it. I'll just find another place to go. read more

I really like the bagels here, but I dislike the inconsistent service. I get the assorted dozen since they charge like an extra $2 to pick your own. I usually ask for it to be assorted with only the savory options available and they throw in some sweet ones, even though there are 10+ savory options when they're fully stocked. I came in today earlier than I usually do and the gentleman with the glasses who has helped me on a few occasions before was there. He was preparing food but close enough and in communication with the cashier to hear our interaction. I made my request to the cashier and automatically she says, "so you want to choose your own dozen?" in a condescending tone. I repeat my request and say, "no, I would like it to be assorted with only the savory options, or at least all the savory options first before adding the sweeter ones." She proceeds to roll her eyes and get the bags to pack the bagels up. She literally picks all the sweet options first, though I asked her to start with the savory ones. Great. The gentleman also chose not to step in, even though he could've just accommodated my request without the attitude the cashier was providing. So I think this is going to be the last time I visit this store. I chose to come here because it's local and a business owned by PoC, but I guess I'll find another spot or make my way to Noah's since they have the Monday dozen deal, at least. I see why Senor Bagels closes early and barely has enough bagels to build a desirable dozen by 9 am. I thought it was because they were good and sold out, it's probably because they are inconsistent in their service. Good luck though ! read more

Love this thriving small business nestled in the southwest corner of Beach Blvd and Lampson Avenue (near the 7-11 store). Trust me, I'm not just saying this because the ladies inside constantly flatter me by referring to me as "muchacho" -- but it might have something to do with it lol Our standard order here is "The Works" Bagel with cream cheese and the Lox City (Smoked Salmon, Capers, Cream Cheese) sandwich on a Jalapeño cheddar bagel.
