I am a no frills, old fashioned country kinda breakfast girl. This place did NOT disappoint! Everything sounded delicious so I decided to get the Big Rig. It generously offers 3 eggs, choice of breakfast meat, the MOST DELICIOUS TATERS, and choice of griddle item. My choices were: Over medium eggs - PERFECTLY COOKED! Sausage Patties - drooling now thinking about how tasty and juicy they were while still having that nicely seared crust! The potatoes. Oh my. I love good breakfast potatoes and these are not good. They are GREAT!!! Crispy crunchy on the outside and yummy goodness on the inside! Waffle - I am usually a pancake girl but was feeling adventurous so I tried the waffle. It was really good! Perfectly cooked and with a hint of cinnamon. Not too sweet. Just right with a slathering of REAL BUTTER (Thank you Bitzy's!) and a dab of maple syrup. Hunky Hubster ordered the HOBO Omelette. He is a really great cook and he has been pretty disappointed in most omelettes he has had the last few years. He was absolutely blown away with how delicious this was. Perfectly cooked and packed with perfectly proportioned and tasty fillings. He was also super stoked that he could sub for fresh fruit and cottage cheese with no extra charge!! We both made yummy noises the entire time. We had to share our dishes with one another as it was too good to hoard. The service is absolutely STELLAR!! The whole staff was just amazing!! Friendly - greeted right away. Answered all our questions. Brewed me decaf coffee and let me know that it was coming. Fast - from order to check out was around 30 minutes. (Must insert here - we did arrive fairly early on a Saturday- around 8:00. I imagine this place gets slammed after 9:30. So go early if you are able!) Thoughtful - came by enough to be helpful without being intrusive. Never had to wait more than a few minutes for water or coffee (the coffee was yummy) I really really appreciated the fact that when we were pretty well into our meal but not finished, our waitress dropped off our check with a smile and a "no hurry". LOVE THIS! Is there anything worse than being finished and waiting forever for the check? Informative - it was our first time and our waitress was so sweet and patient with answering my questions. Needless to say our hunt for the perfect breakfast place (for Us and what we like) was finally OVER! You could tell the patrons who were there were mostly regulars. It was such a homey, friendly, unpretentious, deliciously wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back and try more menu options. Oh yeah... the menu offers a lot of different options without being overwhelming. There will definitely be something for everyone! After being sat by the bathroom and ringing phone it took 30 minutes before anyone took our order. I was ready to leave at this point. Once our waitress came over it was good service for the rest of the visit. I went with the egg white scramble which came with spinach, onion, tomato and jack cheese. It was really filling and flavorful. I really liked the salsa they served with it. You get two sides and pancake is a choice! Got a plate sized pancake and their potatoes which were big chunks but had a really crispy crust on it. For the price this was a bargain breakfast. My wife had the Denver omelette with a pancake and potatoes. My wife had coffee but never got a refill her entire meal until she flagged someone at the end. Our crappy table location really made us invisible. Seriously cheap prices in 2026 and friendly service when you got it. Frequent check ins on coffee or additional items needed. Coffee was actually really good too. Reasonable prices for 2026 and very clean comfortable space. Lots of comfy booth options and plenty of room for larger groups. Lots and lots of parking. The pancakes are really good, light and fluffy and moist. Sometimes you see a pancake and think that's going to need a lot of syrup and butter but these were perfectly golden warm and sweet even without syrup. The inside isn't huge, but it's not small at the same time. You can fit a good amount of people in there. The customer service was good, and the inside of the restaurant was well-maintained. The dump truck is where it's at. It's a lot of food but it's worth it. I finished it all minus the potatoes. The staff was really friendly and the service was really good. Not bad for a random diner in a desert of a strip mall. Bitzy's is pretty straightforward - breakfast, lunch. Menus are already laid out for you as you seat yourself. I ordered the ABC omelette ($15) - avocado, bacon, cheddar. You get to choose your two sides! Other diners automatically serve you toast and you only get to choose one side, but here at Bitzy's, you can choose with your heart. Should you want rice, they have that for you too. I myself opted for the home fries and a hotcake. Because I'd never commit to a sweet breakfast, having the option to order a single pancake was magic. My omelette was good and hearty. I could care less for the home fries - a lil too burnt and mushy for my liking. But the hotcake was hotcake-ing. We also ordered the country mix ($14) which is a lot like a skillet, however, here it is not. 3 eggs are scrambled with home fries, diced ham + onions served with a side - toast, biscuit & gravy or a hotcake. This was okay. Had it been served in a skillet, the potatoes would have been a little less mushy. I also felt like it could have stood for one more veggie ie green bell pepper. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to eat here, but it's nice to know that this place exists should you happen upon. read more

This is a cute, small, quaint little restaurant tucked away in a plaza near the ice rink. Service is always great. Stopping here a second time, I decided that I wanted to order the super spuds. I noticed a very small photo of it on the menu and commented that it looked so much like the spuds that Local Spot (rip) used to have. I decided to look at reviews later in the day, and sure enough, pretty much all of the staff was from the Local Spot! I don't know why they had to suddenly close, but it's great that they are not gone forever. The pricing here is better than a lot of places these days, and service has been great during our first two visits so far. I appreciate that they always offer us tea refills to take to go, as a lot of places don't even offer refills these days unless you ask. Now we can continue to enjoy breakfast at a place similar to one we always enjoyed. Once the word gets out more, seats will probably fill up quick. My now wife and I have lived about a mile away from this place for about 2 years now and wow we have been missing out on a gem. This place was amazing! We got there at 1pm on a Sunday and they had a pretty large crowd. Only 2 open tables and we took one of them. I don't want to say the menu was overwhelming but it just had so many items that we wanted to try. They have all the breakfast staples from short stacks, biscuits and gravy all the way to chiliquilles. Staff was super friendly and checked on us often! Bitzy's will most likely become our Sunday thing. The food was so good and the service was just as great. Give it a try. Five stars!!!! We are former customers of the Local Spot, and we were so sad they closed overnight. I remember pulling into the parking lot to go for our usual Saturday morning breakfast and surprised to see the doors were closed. Since then we have been looking for another local breakfast spot. We recently saw online that Bitzys opened and we couldn't wait to go! The cooks and servers are from Local Spot. It was so nice to see familiar faces. My wife and I recently came here during one of our Sunday breakfast trips and I was really happy with the choice. I had previously bookmarked Pam's Cafe which was in this spot and never made it over. Upon realizing the business had changed, I did not want to make the same mistake and decided to make this my choice. The restaurant is still fairly new but was not busy when we arrived near opening and we were told to sit wherever we would like. The server was friendly and quickly took our drink order and after a few minutes the drinks came and the food was placed. I went with the Rancho Omelette and it was made nicely and tasted great. I do with the cheese outside was more melted but that is a minor nitpick on my part. Overall I was quite pleased with the dish The food was prepared well, the restaurant was clean and the service was good as well. The price points were quite reasonable as well and they have a fairly large lot with which to park which is always nice for me as I hate driving around looking for a spot everywhere. The owner is a former employee of the now-closed The Local Spot and brought the staff and the cook from that establishment to open this restaurant. The restaurant is named after her grandmother. We saw several empty tables that had not been cleared. Maybe they were short staffed so they were unable to accommodate the customers that were lined up outside. We saw 1 server taking orders and another person taking and serving drink orders. Don't remember who served our meals. My guess is this probably a family venture. Bitzy's is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. I had a hard time deciding on what to order. I went with the bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato burger. The burger caught my eye because the menu description said the burger was hand made. Not the frozen variety. The burger looked delicious upon presentation. (see photo) Unfortunately, since it was too big for me to bite into and I had to partially deconstruct it. I found the burger lacked flavor. They get a point for the freshness of the lettuce, tomato and avocado add ons. Hubby ordered the Rancho Omelette. Steak, mushrooms and bell peppers. He said lots of bell peppers, but not much of anything else. He was disappointed as well. I wish Bitzy's the best...but don't think it was worth the drive. read more

And now ...a new contender emerges. It's technically Westminster, but Bitzy's Kitchen is deserving of your attention. This place has a dizzying array of breakfast options. My "go to" has always been the Portuguese sausage and eggs. Served with potatoes or fruit (both are great), and your choice of toast. When you get your plate, you might not see the tiny container of jelly parked next to your toast: don't ignore this! This jelly is homemade and absolutely sublime. It's the attention to the tiny details like this that make Bitzy's so easy to like. We just found this place today....many of the workers and cooks came from a Long Beach institution, the venerable Local Spot on PCH. If you were among the people lamenting the abrupt shuttering of The Local Spot....fear not, Bitzy's Kitchen will look and taste very familiar. I didn't take a pic of my plate because I was so hungry. Service was amazing almost like they're reading my mind. When the food came out, came out as I pictured in my head. I seek out places like this because I am the biscuits and gravy guy. It's rare to find these spots and even rarer still to find a place that makes both the biscuit and the gravy from scratch. Of course I didn't see them make it but the B&G here tastes like it's scratch made. The biscuit is the bready, not flakey, style with the tang of buttermilk and the crust of a real biscuit. It was probably made here but a couple days ago but still fresh. The herb gravy was over the top delicious and was piping hot. Definitely homemade and they might even have snuck an ingredient in there to make it even richer like cream cheese or sour cream. The chili cheese omelette was good and exactly what you would expect when you order one. The potatoes were the sliced griddled kind like Jenny's Country Cafe. The potatoes went well with the mild blender style salsa and the gravy of course. Everything was properly seasoned. The uniformed servers were 10/10. Classic soul and rock music on low volume. Clean restaurant with a strong local place vibe. I drove 31 miles just to go here and have breakfast, I was searching for good biscuits and gravy, I see a couple of places that have them but I chose this restaurant because it was closed to an appointment that I had in Westminster. I could of went to my favorite place in Whittier, Scotty's family restaurant. But i wanted to try somewhere new and here I am lol 31 miles, that's craaazzy. The place looks like is in a deserted area, with a couple of shops here and there with a big parking lot. Is cute when you walk in, they have a sign that says please wait to be seated and I saw a clipboard there with some names not crossed out, I'm thinking "dang it, I gotta wait long ? I'm hungry " lol. Luckily, they young waiter said I could sit anywhere and I sat up front by the kitchen/ register. There's a lot of a small booths and the seats are super low for some reason, maybe is made for those big people with big guts, I leaned against the table just to see how low it was and it hit my nipples. I'm pretty tall, like 6 feet. So you can imagine how low the seat is lol I didn't want to be too full so I just ordered their 2 eggs any style, it comes with 2 different sides so I chose toast wheat bread, over easy eggs with biscuits and gravy and added 2 sausage links , black coffee. I don't know why but coffee at a diner, always tastes better black lol. I was hoping the eggs would be a little bit more raw than over cooked but is ok. The wheat toast wasn't toasty, it was still soft. I was hoping for more crunch so I can put the eggs on top but I folded it up like a taco and ate it lol. I like the biscuits and gravy, it was moist, they could of added a little more gravy to it. But otherwise it was a good breakfast. The wait staff was super friendly and they come by every so often to check up on me to see if I wanted anything else or more coffee, I think 2 cups was enough. It barely came to $20, I didn't have change so I gave her a $5 tips. Maybe next time I'll get something more with 2 biscuits and gravy and ask for extra gravy lol. Stopped by Bitzys Kutchen Restaurant and tried the bacon avocado cheeseburger--definitely a great choice. The burger was juicy, cooked just right, and packed with flavor. The bacon was crispy, the avocado was fresh, and everything came together perfectly without being messy or overdone. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the portion size was solid. The bun held up well, which always makes a difference. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was chill--easy spot to relax and enjoy a good meal.
