I loved: Matcha Latte I really liked: Grilled Pork Banh Mi Combination Bao Bun Quail Egg Bao Bun Matcha Foam Coffee BBQ Pork Bao Bun I liked: Salted Duck Egg Bao Bun Yummy Bakery is such a good grab-and-go spot, especially if you're craving Vietnamese baked goods, bao, and drinks. The Matcha Latte was easily my favorite thing here. Super flavorful, sweet without being overly sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. I finished the entire thing so quickly that I genuinely wished I had ordered two. The Matcha Foam Coffee was also really good, especially if you want something with a stronger coffee kick. The bao buns were smaller than I expected, but I liked trying all the different fillings. The Combination Bao Bun was my favorite since you get a mix of the different meats and flavors in one bun. The Quail Egg Bao Bun was another standout. The egg itself is great, and I liked how the flavor carries throughout the bun instead of just tasting like a separate filling in the middle. The BBQ Pork Bao Bun had good flavor and a tasty bun, but I definitely wish they were a little more generous with the meat. The Salted Duck Egg Bao Bun was still good, but the saltier filling wasn't quite as enjoyable for me compared to the others. Definitely more of a specific flavor preference. I also tried the grilled pork banh mi and really enjoyed it. The bread has that nice firm exterior while still staying soft enough inside, and the pork is flavorful with a solid amount of meat. Others in our group ordered the Crispy Roast Pork Banh Mi as well, so there are plenty of savory options if you're not just coming for the bao. Service is quick and pretty straightforward, with part of the experience being self-service. It definitely helps if you speak Vietnamese, but overall everything moves fast and it feels built for picking up a bunch of food and heading out. Great little spot to stop by when you want something quick, tasty, and easy to take home.
Long overdue review. My friend told me about this place a while back because she really like their pork belly banh mi and I came and also really liked it. Since then I came back quite a lot of time, also ordered tons of take-outs for picnic and family gatherings. I also liked their variety of buns (banh bao) and I like how they are smaller, and there are 9 in one box, various prices depending on the filling. Overall, good enough banh mi, though they don't give as much veggies inside the banh mi as other places.. Their pork belly is good and you can also order by pounds. Their buns is also good, quick and convenient way to buy for small picnics.
This is by far my favorite Yummy location out of all of them. The restaurant is always super clean, efficient, and true to its name--everything is fresh and, of course, delicious. The owner clearly holds this location to a high standard, especially compared to the Bolsa locations. I haven't ordered a single item that wasn't fresh, although it may help that I usually stop by right when they open. What really stands out is how much the staff cares about the customer experience. They're friendly, work efficiently, and get your food out quickly so you can get on with your day. The prices are fair, especially considering inflation as of July 2026. My usual order is four bánh bao and a chè for a snack, which comes to about $17.95. This location is also very convenient if you're heading northbound on Brookhurst, which is my usual route to work. Parking can be a little tricky, but customers are in and out pretty quickly, so it's usually not a problem. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. Their bánh mì heo quay is also really good! My only suggestion would be to add a little more pickled carrot and daikon to the sandwiches. Other than that, this place is an easy 5 stars.
I first found out about Yummy Bakery through a Yelp Elite Experience, and I came back to support them because I simply like how friendly and helpful the staff here are. They are always welcoming and provide good service whenever I stop by. I've tried several of their banh mi, and I think their Special Banh Mi is probably the best one. I also think the prices are better compared to some other places. I've also tried their steamed buns. They're okay, but honestly not my favorite. I still buy them once in a while because they're convenient and easy to grab. They have a few tables inside if you don't want to take your food to go and prefer to sit and eat there. Parking is usually not a problem, so stopping by is pretty easy.
Stopped by and ordered the House Special Coffee! It was actually my first time visiting, so I asked the cashier if she recommends the Matcha Coffee or the House Special, and she said the House Special was better. Service was super quick! I think I ordered, stepped away, and BAM! The drink was ready on the counter! Not sure how quickly food orders are done, but the speed of how quickly my coffee was poured out impressed me LOL As for the coffee itself, the Vietnamese coffee base is bold and strong! It's a bit more on the bitter side compared to other coffee shops, but paired with the foam, it balances out! If I visit again, I'd like to try one of the desserts or banh bao! There's some seating inside and outside the bakery. During the time I went, there were a lot of customers, and all the seats were taken! The place is good for a quick in and out stop, but not sure if it's the optimal place to sit and chit-chat.
Yummy is known for their baos and Che dessert. Less known is their soft tofu dessert. My friends grabbed their tofu pudding for us to share. It's light with a hint of pandan and delicately sweet. Nice dessert to rotate for parties and get together. Please come and create your own adventure.
Love the banh mi here! It's such a good price and great portion sizes. Service is pretty quick, and they have a great selection of different banh mi, drinks, and bakery items. The bakery is big, but there is only a few seats inside. There's a big free parking lot in front of the bakery. Highly recommend trying this place if you're looking for good banh mi!
Yummy Bakery July 13, 2026 This morning, I passed by Yummy Bakery to grab some breakfast. As I waited for my order, I noticed a homeless person enter the store; he stood in line holding a cup of noodles. He asked the lady at the front counter for hot water for his cup of noodles. Without hesitation, the lady at the counter took the cup of noodles from him, poured hot water in it, and gave him a spoon. The homeless person said, "Thank you." He then walked outside, standing on the side of the bakery and eating his cup of soup. I can't help but mention this act of kindness shown to that homeless man. I come to Yummy Bakery regularly to buy crispy roast pork Banh Mi, baked cassava, salted duck egg steamed bun, mam chung, matcha tofu pudding, and lots of other baked breads and drinks they offer. The place can be easily found, with enough parking spots. The inside is bright and clean, including their restroom. In the morning rush, the line could be long but the staff is fast and efficient in taking orders. A must-try bakery on your list! It has become my favorite spot since last year. I'll keep coming back for more and recommend it to my friends who love to explore great food like YUMMY BAKERY!

I've been to many Banh Mi places and this one feels like it's a chain. The others I've been to have buy two, get one free promotions and it makes it hard to pass up that offer. Here at Yummy Bakery, they a variety of Banh Mi sandwiches, Steamed Buns, Bakery items like breads, pastries and a handful of dessert items. They have a create your own Vietnamese jelly drink. I'm not sure what they call it, but you have choices from a variety of jellies, coconut milk, and some sweet beans. The one thing Yummy Bakery does not offer are the buy two, get one free offer. My #2 Banh Mi which is the Heo Quay is probably the best choice there. It has crispy roasted pork belly and the traditional accompaniments of Banh Mi sandwiches, like cilantro, jalapeños, mayonnaise and the pickled radish and carrots. I enjoyed my first visit. We'll see if there's a next visit.
This place is a national treasure and protect it at all costs! I was visiting my boo's family for thanksgiving holiday and we made frequent stops here (literally everyday of our visit to SoCal) and I needed my viet matcha foam coffee! Instantly fell in love after the first sip, will never forget that dear moment. Their banh mi is so good, my favorite was the spam and eggs one. I also love their variety of tofu puddings (I think my favorite one was the ginger one omg) they had a black custard bun that was super delicious, their pistachio croissant was everything I hoped for, the flan cheesecake: chefs kiss...BUT LETS TALK ABOUT THAT PATE CHOUD! That is what made life worth waking up early for...that wonderful week spent there. Absolutely delectable. Idk bout yall but the service here was always good so im grateful for that. I will say though that they do have a tendency to over ice things at this location. But that's not docking any stars for me... I can't wait to see you again, Yummy. :')
I ordered bbq pork buns and the #3 and #7 sandwiches. I shared the food with my friends and they all loved it. It was gone within seconds! The cashiers that helped me both spoke fluent English and Vietnamese. They were friendly and made sure I received my order quickly even though it was busy. There a few tables inside and outside for sitting. Parking can be a bit tricky due to a smaller parking lot that is shared with many other businesses.
This place is a must stop for some Matcha Tofu Pudding. The flan to me was okay but I definitely would always come back for the matcha tofu pudding. Girl seemed to be in training but service was great. The guy was steps ahead of grabbing items when people were ordering. I haven't tried anything else but would definitely come back to try other items sold in store.

They serve not only banh mi here, but desserts and drinks! Wanted to try out their banh mi so I ordered a special/dac biet. It was just okay, definitely not the best, bread was a too chewy and the meat quality wasn't as tender, but for $5-6, the price meets the quality. Good for the price for sure. The house coffee was actually really good! Flavorful and smooth! Definitely will be back for their coffee, and it was $5 as well! read more
My go to bakery for convenient pick up of a variety of items when I head to San Diego. Parking here is convenient, since they have their own spaces in front with addition spots shared with the strip center. Yummy bakery has multiple locations and this was my first visit to this location which is easier to access. On this trip I ordered two orders of their combination steamed baos which are delicious and a two pound order of roasted pork belly which isn't on their menu board. The pork belly is freshly made, crispy and tasty. Service is friendly and prompt. Btw this bakery offers a variety of brewed in house coffees and teas and make a terrific binh mi pork belly sammie. I recommend this Yummy Bakery. read more

This place gets BUSY. I ordered the che thai. Ít tasted a little like durian which I do not like. I also ordered the crispy pork sandwich. No picture because I inhaled it. Totally recommend! The pork is cooked to perfection. Limited seating so it's more of a take away place. Very friendly service. read more

This is always our must visit bakery every time we're in Little Saigon after a meal. There are many locations, but we like this one because it's newer and bigger. There are no crazy long lines compared to the Bolsa location. Parking can be difficult during lunch hours, so we like to come after 2pm. We love to order the steamed buns; especially the combination pork buns and pork with quail egg buns. They are the perfect size not too large like most places. This makes the white flour of the buns not too over- powering. The prices are also reasonable. If sweet is what you're looking for, the black custard buns are yummy too! There's a wide selection to choose from: banh mi, drinks, che, cakes, peanuts (my favorite) etc. read more

So glad that Yummy is expanding and that I don't have to drive too far to get it anymore. They are know for their bao buns. I highly recommend getting a box of their combo one. They are great to reheat and I was eating them for a week. The bao bread is perfectly moist and the meat filling inside is so savory and flavorful and fully packed in the bun. Their banh pate chaud is also really good flakey and crispy. I tried the crispy pork sandwich also really good and full of meat but it was a bit fatty for me. The bakery is nice, clean, and spacious. Plenty of parking. Service is nice, quick, and fast. Overall I will be back and tell my family and friend about this bakery too! read more

A Youtuber recommended this spot, so we came to try their famous pandan bánh bò. Honestly, we thought the pandan cake (bánh da lợn) was the standout--it had better flavor. The bánh bò itself was soft and fresh, but the pandan taste was pretty mild. The real highlight was the coconut sauce that came with it, which made it much better. I've had stronger versions of bánh bò here and in SJ. We also tried the regular one the next day (no photo, oops) and it was just okay. Didn't get to sample much else, so I'd come back again to try more of their menu. read more

Bring CA$H or 3% Credit/Debit card fee which is like $.30 cents for $10. The price is reasonable. #3 Grilled Beef with Special Sauce - my personal favorite but if you love pork, I'd stick to grilled pork - also one of my favorites. #3 is more saucy with iceberg lettuce, shredded green spring onions, and tomatoes besides the normal fermented carrots/daikons/cucumber/jalapeños. The flavor in this grilled beef banh mi reminded me of home - not the exact taste but almost. The best part - WARM breads. Not many Vietnamese places warm up Banh Mi when they make it which make it tasted "cold". I don't like cold food. You can ask staff to cut Banh Mi in half and/or put vegetable on the side so they can stay fresh longer when you do not eat it immediately. I usually order for to-go and use airfryer or grill at home to warm up the bread if I do not eat immediately at the store. Still taste good. There are a couple tables inside and outside to sit down and eat. The inside was clean and organized. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Parking is a bit tight but customer rotate in and out so there are always parking when I visited. There are also adjacent parking in the shopping areas next door. read more

I had to come see for myself what the hype was about w the purple taro buns at Yummy Bakery. The buns are steamed and filled w taro paste. The taro paste is sweetened just right. These yummy little buns are so delightful!! Got a vegetarian bao for my JZ and it was really good too, she liked it a lot! I also tried the beef banh mi. Not only was it bigger than most banh mis I've had, it was also very tasty!! I typically avoid meat banh mis since most of the banh mi joints I've tried marinate their meats in some type of fish sauce base. I very much appreciate that Yummy Bakery does not marinate their beef in fish sauce (thank you for that)!! I saw that they had Yummy Spicy Roasted Peanuts and decided to try it. The magical touch of lemongrass, kaffir lime, Hanoi red chili, and garlic made this snack super amazing!! Lastly, I got the Vietnamese coffee. Rich bold taste, made from potent robusta beans. If you're sensitive to caffeine, pregnant, suffer from insomnia, or have HBP, do not drink this!! It's basically iced meth in a to go cup... which explains why I had the sudden urge to cut all of my palm tree leaves and and am still up at 3am writing Yelp reviews lol! Definitely tweakin' on Vietnamese coffee today, haha!! Great bakery and would definitely go back for the taro buns, banh mi, and peanuts... and maybe the Vietnamese coffee too lol!! This place is great!I always get the crispy pork bahn mi. Affordable with freshly cooked ingredients. The pickled radish is not too spicy, but has enough heat to it. The sandwich is seasoned well, nothing about it is overpowering. The balance is perfect. I had the dessert as well. Little too sweet, but I think that's the point. Service is surprising good. I never felt stupid when ordering. The order takes a little time, but to me that means freshly made, not premade, overcooking in its own juices. The vibe is what it should be. A busy cafe that's busy serving its customers. read more

Came back for a second time in 2 weeks because my family is addicted to the Taro banh baos that are hard to find in LA County. Had the chicken banh mi today and it was excellent. The baguette was fresh and toasty, and the ingredients inside were so fresh! The cilantro, cucumber, pickled carrots are so complementing to the flavor of the chicken. Just enough flavor until the jalapeno gives you a quick kick to taste buds. Outstanding!! Love the sandwich, can't wait to get another. read more

The iced coffee was good, it had a distinct taste.
