They took over a Chinese bakery few years back but the fact is that they are partnered with them so they do sell the same pastries with VNese desserts and few other items, not the sandwiches nor the roasted pork like their siblings. Great and clean store, varies choices of VNese desserts and the pastries and cakes. Nice and friendly services, easy & plenty of parking spaces. Very reasonable & affordable price tags. So glad that I stopped by to grab some good old pastries.

I grabbed an iced Vietnamese coffee so we could wait in line to purchase meats at Lien Hoa a few doors down. The iced coffee was served with pebble ice and was strong. I had to let it water down a bit but it was really good. Service was great and I paid in cash.

This Yummy Bakery is slightly different than the rest. We just had lunch a few doors down from this Yummy location so walked over to get some pork buns and baked goods. The store was well-stocked of baked goods. It's very clean and not cluttered as most of them. They were not super busy as some of their other locations so that was nice that we didn't have to wait long. Got a box of my normal of house special pork buns with eggs and a few pastries. Have yet to try the pork buns so we'll see. I'm pretty sure they're just as good.

Yummy Bakery is a Vietnamese bakery and drink chain and there are at least 4 locations as I knew just in the Westminster area. I happened to spot one right next to Shun Fat Supermarket so I decided to check it out. The shop itself is pretty small and only does takeout. They don't have a huge selection of baked goods. Their pork floss buns are around $2.50-$3 each, soft, a bit smaller in size, and not too salty. Overall, not bad. They also sell those old-school packaged sponge cakes, and there's tofu pudding in the fridge for $2.50 a cup. Most small drinks are under $3. I tried their Vietnamese matcha latte for $5 and it was decent. Slightly bitter with a touch of sweetness, but not overly sweet. After drinking a lot of Vietnamese coffee lately, I've realized many of the flavors kind of start to taste the same. Fun fact: this place is actually part of the same Yummy Bakery & Pho group that recently opened Viland Coffee, so some of the drinks overlap. **Heads up: there's a 3% credit card fee. I didn't notice until I saw the receipt. It was posted, but just a small sign near the cash register. It would've been easier to spot if it was right next to the card reader. Yummy Bakery has been my go to spot to get banh bao, every time I visit someone outside of OC I always bring this to them. I feel like over the years the baos have been getting smaller, but still the same flavor and amount of filling. It was my first time trying their Banh Mi Heo Quay and it was crispy with lots of sauce. The banh mi only takes a few minutes for the workers to prepare so I recommend it. The store has no seating inside, it's a grab and go spot. ig: @cravingswithcat

Storefront - they replaced the mom and pop bakery that used to be here

This replaced my one of my favorite little bakeries that used to be here many years ago. I used to love the Baked BBQ Pork buns here. The reincarnated spot - Yummy Bakery - does not have Baked BBQ pork buns. They have bbq pork steamed buns - but as you can see from my photos - and from taste, it's not the same. Service was prompt - I was the only one there so no wait. They haved baked breads individually wrapped on display, a refrigerated breads case, and other refrigerated goods. The menu offers steamed buns by the box or individually. The steamed buns are bite-sized - so you'll want more than a couple if you're looking for something filling. I just wanted a snack in between lunch and dinner, so picked four (two bbq pork & two combination). The buns tasted reheated, rather than fresh. The dough was dry at some spots. The filling for the bbq pork bun wasn't like traditional bbq pork - less saucy, and they had onions or something in it. The combo bun was unusual - it wasn't bad - but wasn't memorable either. I think I bit into something crunchy in the first combo bun - but whatever it was, was not present in the second combo bun. I don't know if I'll go out of my way to come back here. Checked them out only because I was shopping at the Asian supermarket a few doors down.

Seemingly clean bakery with a friendly clerk. I came in earlier this morning and picked up a Vanilla Swiss Roll. ($11) - sponge cake eas dense and dry, the buttercream filling was actually grainy and way not very sweet. Very disappointing roll.

My brother's new girlfriend brought some treats from here. I tried the matcha tofu pudding and it was very light and refreshing. I liked that it had a hint of matcha and it wasn't too sweet. I want to try their other flavors and treats!

There are so many Yummy Bakeries in the Westminster and Garden Grove area. This location replaced the Ming's bakery I used to frequent with my family growing up. This bakery may be small but there is so many goodies in here. There is a variety of breads and pastries (my favorites are the pandan and vanilla sponge cake and pork sung rolls) and also cakes in the front display case. There is also a fridge full of tofu pudding, flans, and Vietnamese herbal drinks. And they also have Vietnamese dessert che here! Anything you want they probably have. But the best things to me here have to be the banh bao! There are various fillings but I love the pork with quail egg and vegetarian one. They are a little pricey for each one as it runs $2.15-2.50 for one very small bao so you're better off buying a box of 9 for $14-19 depending on the filling. If you order different variety of baos, they have a color coded dot on the outside that tells you which filling is inside! So smart. I recently tried their matcha coffee which was DELICIOUS. The base is a super strong and fragrant Vietnamese coffee/cafe sua da and it's topped with a super thick and creamy matcha foam. And for less than $6. What a steal.

Second time at this spot, and even though I was here before 10am on Sunday, they had no taro bao in stock. What a bummer. Still picked up a viet coffee to go to help ease my pain.

I've been to other Yummy bakeries however not to this location. Beside the regular Yummy Bakery items, this location has more baked goods than other Yummy locations may be because they used to be Ming's Bakery and still carrying some of Ming's baked goods. Parking is fine. I don't mind going back if we are in the area.

Great bakery for desserts next to the supermarket. Light cheesecake is really good and the tofu pudding is soft, not overly sweet, and flavorful. Service is quick and kind. Part of a larger plaza so plenty of parking

Salted egg and pork floss cake: It sounds weird, but think of it like a Vietnamese maple-bacon donut. Sweet and savory
    Van L.

Solid Vietnamese bakery. It had smaller menu of baked goods, but it also has tea drinks, coffee drinks, steam buns, and che. I had a few of the cakes, including the salted egg and pork floss cake, as well as the che. All of it was good.
