Boba Pop Tea Bar is an awesome spot if you're a tea lover. They have so many great tea options on the menu that it's hard to decide what to try first. Today I went with the honey lemon green tea and it was absolutely amazing--super refreshing with the perfect balance of sweetness and citrus. I also tried a black tea with 50% sweetener, and it was just right. The menu looks incredible and there are so many drinks I still want to try, so I'll definitely be coming back soon. What really makes this place stand out is the vibe. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and a little hip. They even have board games and other games you can play while you hang out and enjoy your tea, which makes it a great place to chill with friends. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the whole place has a great energy. If you're looking for a cool spot to grab some great tea and relax, this place is definitely worth checking out. Stopped into BobaPOP, and it's a really cute spot! They have ample seating, and even boardgames to play with your friends. The service was fast and very friendly. I ordered the classic Jasmine Green Milk Tea with regular boba, ice, and sweetness, and wow! Wonderful flavor and yummy boba. Next time I'll have to try the mochi waffles, that you can get with Nutella, cheese, or salted egg yolk. I highly recommend trying their fruit teas or something light if it's your first time stopping by. * Honey Lychee Aloe Vera: 8/10 - sweet and light flavor * Passion Fruit Tea: 8/10 - nice and tart, not too sour * Boba (Topping): 7/10 - soft and chewy The shop is a decent size and offers a couple of tables to sit at. Only one person was working, and they were very kind. The only downside about this place is that it's located in a plaza that's pretty isolated and small. It's usually not very crowded, so you should be able to find a parking spot, but I think it'd be difficult during peak hours. The prices are also a bit high for a small-sized cup. It's a well-made drink, just not quite my cup of tea. The floral notes were a bit too overpowering for my personal preference. 4/10 Boba - Pretty mid. The boba turns hard and dense in the center immediately after I start drinking it. Unfortunately, the texture really reflects poor quality. 1/10 Cost - $8.13 in total--seriously? The drink itself, including tax, should've come out to $7.56, but there was an additional $0.57 "service fee" added. I placed the order myself at the kiosk, so I'm not sure why there's a service fee to begin with. On top of that, the TVs in the shop weren't even on, so it's not like there's any added ambiance or service to justify the extra charge. The shop's pretty small with only a few seats, but one thing that really stood out was the huge written "Taiwan Milk Tea" on the wall. They have a few locations in SoCal, but honestly... I hadn't heard of them before. I ordered the milk tea. There was just one group ahead of me, but the wait was surprisingly long. The cup is on the slimmer side too. You can find this little tea shop in one of the strip malls in garden grove. Their logo is super cute with the little dog being in it. They do have a good variety of drinks and some unique ones that they specialize in. I've never had a Japanese brown rice milk tea so that was one I had to try out for the sake of it. Along with it the Darling Milk Tea which was a black milk tea that I had to try since it's my favorite milk tea drink. I did add boba to both drinks and went easy ice on both so it's not very diluted. Both drinks were decent but to me it lacked the bold flavor of tea. The Brown Rice Milk Tea was interesting as you can taste the rice in it and it added a unique flavor but again it was just not bold enough and both drinks felt a little watery. In my opinion this does fall under industry average at 3 stars. read more

Cute and modern interior decor. Drinks came out in about 5-10 minutes. What we got: -Flower green milk tea: this drink was indeed very floral and had nice hints of the green tea. I really enjoyed this refreshing drink! Usually I try to stay away from combination drinks since one flavor tends to overpower the other, but this was a good combo. -Roasted oolong milk tea: standard and on par with other boba shops' roasted oolong milk teas! -Thai milk tea: mom got this, and she can be pretty hard to please sometimes. She enjoyed her drink and finished it pretty quickly! The boba was chewy and had a good consistency. -Classic Vietnamese coffee: not bad, but my brother just wanted to have a drink for work the next morning so not our typical order. Overall, this is a solid boba shop and I would totally come back to try some of their other drinks. In particular, the fruit teas and signature milk teas caught my eye. Definitely my favorite boba spot and has been for a while now! I usually get the Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea, which is amazing - not to sweet and very refreshing. I have had sips of other drinks from here and all of them have been great. As others have said, sometimes it takes a long time to get the drinks out, even when it isn't very crowded, and I think that may be because there is usually not a lot of people working. Most of the time I see one person working. Most if not all people order on the kiosks, so you don't really interact with staff here, as the staff are usually in the back the entire time and then come out to give the drink and straws. The location is also aesthetically very nice and they normally put up some decorations for certain holidays, and they gave special BobaPOP red envelopes for Lunar New Year! Also, the music they play is great. All in all this has been my favorite boba spot for the past year or so and I enjoy getting it every chance I can! read more

First timer here! Seems like I got lucky and came in during a promotion. I ordered the Flower Green Milk Tea with 30% sweetness, easy ice, and boba which costed around $5 (with the discount). I'll be honest, I was in doubt because the store name didn't inspire confidence. It turns out that I was wrong to judge by name, since the tea here is bold and the boba is cooked to perfection. Drinks are a bit on the sweet side, even at 30%, but I'll let it slide. It seems like they use high quality tea / boba and cook it perfectly with the right amount of chewiness. The store vibe isn't too great for hanging out, but the product is great. Orders are done via tablet. This is possibly my 2nd favorite boba spot in LA. Management please add at least one more employee. It's not fair to have only ONE person run the whole shop: taking order, answering customers' phone, and making drinks, taking trash out, etc. It is unproductive and way too much pressure on one body. I feel so bad for the worker he worked too hard and diligently by himself. More than that, it adds on unnecessary waiting time on drinks. Please take better care of your employee.
