To not have some form of compensation offered for my wasted time with there being no Wifi of almost have an hour, considering I went to your location specifically for the purpose of accessing the internet is disheartening. Went on a Saturday evening. Wasnt crowded. Vibe was good, nicely decorated, board games out to play, definitely could study here. Service was okay, nothing special. We each got a milk tea with boba and thought it was pretty decent. The crawfish noodles were dry, a little spicy, though the crawfish itself was nothing to write home it was on the better end of some places I've eaten at. Good try, wouldn't get it again. I would get the crawfish fries again though. It was good, definitely filling. Though a bit pricy for a quick snack, it's crawfish. Approximately $32 for one cup of Rose Milk Tea (no floral aroma at all with low quality boba that has expanded which means it's been sitting for a while), bland popcorn chicken where the herbs were non-existent, and garlic Korean BBQ beef noodles where there was NO garlic. If you ask me, we pretty much got ripped off. I have no idea how this place has four stars but I'm starting to think it's all friends and family that's pumping their review rating. They also have delicious food, especially their popcorn chicken. They have a reward program that you can sign up with your phone number to earn points. Another boba spot you need on your list to try! There is such a big variety of drinks and food! Thai green tea: A perfect blend of Thai tea and green tea. The drink is on the milkier side which is how I like my Thai green tea. The boba was soft, chewy, and fresh! If you have never tried a Thai green tea it's just Thai tea but with a slightly floral/earthy taste from the green tea. Taro milk tea: The taro had a nice balance between sweet and milky. The drink also didn't have a super artificial dark purple color. The boba was also consistent in its freshness and chewiness. Service: I have never seen this place packed so I always get my drink within 5 minutes of ordering it. Ambiance: There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is always clean and they even have a few board games you can pick from. I love the floral decor and stringed bulb lights! There is plenty of parking available. There are various food and drinks to order from. I would stay away from the milk tea + boba as they're not as good as what you can get at other places. However, what you should try out are their fruit teas! Here are my top fruit teas: - New Yorker, I suggest adjusting this 75%, but otherwise one of my fave drink here - cool tease, not my go to, but it's basically the taste of summer in a cup - bubble rain, not super artificial tasting, well balanced. The tea is a bit light, but it's ok - hangover The food used to be good, but it's okay now, they're all hit or misses. Someday ass, someday good. The noodle dishes, esp crawfish noodles are very oily. The crawfish is dry. The popcorn chicken is good sometimes, I think what saves it for the most part is the green sauce. The garlic cheese French fries is normal, but sometimes they forget to melt the cheese so it would be like a dry slab of cheese on top of the fries. Service is normal. Like any to go spot. read more

Whenever I go there isn't a lot of people and I'm able to find a seat to study :) They do have outlets at their tables near the wall and a good amount of seating. They have wifi too. Employee's were kinda funny and they were nice. I got the Bubble Rain Signature Tea with lowered sweetness and it was good! I can taste the flavors without it being watered down. My mom finally decided to try this place so my mom, brother, husband, and myself all got drinks. They were on the very sweet side. We've been here twice now and I ordered Mango Perfection both times. It tasted different each time so I'm not sure how consistency will be here going forward. Overall, it's ok. The parking can be chaotic during meal times since it's right next to boiling crab. Every time I'm visiting SoCal, I actually always go to Y Tea I've always been a fan of the popcorn chicken because it's crispy and their spicy cilantro sauce is so good and special. They also make the popcorn chicken spicy but you gotta let them know! Over the years I feel like the chicken isn't as crispy as it used to be but it's still bomb. We came in for the 1st time during lunch on a Friday. There was only another guest there. The person behind the counter was nice but very quiet. He didn't say hello or greeted us but was nice. The menu was extensive so we took some time to check it out. Here is what we ordered: 01. The New Yorker Tea $4.95 - 3 Stars - Peach, Lychee, Black Tea, Chia Seeds, Lychee Jelly, Strawberry bits - It was refreshing as we asked to have less sweeter and it was better than what I imagine it would be like. 02. Thai Green Milk Tea $4.95 - 2 Stars - Their Thai Tea was very watery and did not have a traditional Thai Tea taste. It was too milky for us. I know it says Milk Tea but it was too creamy and way less Thai Tea. Well, at least we won't be staying awake with this drink, not strong enough. 03. Cajun Garlic Fries $6.50 - 2.5 Stars - We asked them to make this a little bit crispier than their normal and he was nice about it. The fries did come out perfect but he forgot the Cajun seasoning. We got crispy fries with fresh Garlic and Shredded Cheese that DID NOT melt at all. Wished it was a bit melts. 04. Popcorn Chicken $7.25 - 3 Stars - The chicken was tender and juicy but was not spicy at all. We got medium spicy as he said it would give it some heat. It really was just plain Popcorn Chicken with no hot seasoning. Had it be more spicy, this would've been really tasty. Overall good size portion and tender. 05. Garlic Noodles w/ Grilled Chicken - 3 Stars - The Noodles were not that tasty, hardly tasted the garlic. It was cooked perfect but just didn't have any flavor. The grilled Chicken was tender and peppery. It was decent together but we didn't like the green sauce it came with. The sauce was too creamy/mayo-y for us. It reminded me of the Peruvian Aji Green Sauce. LOCATION - Right next to Presotea which is really weird as both kind of offers the same menu in terms of drinks and foods. Talk about aggressive competition. Y Tea Cafe is facing Euclid. PARKING - There are tons of parking spaces during the day, I think depending what is going on at night time, it might be harder to find a parking spot. TEAs/FOODs - Their Teas are decent for the price. I liked that the tea was cheaper than what other tea shops are going for around the area. The food was okay, could just use a bit more seasonings but I guess they are safe since not everyone has the same palettes. Just customize your orders to get what you want or you might be a little disappointed. STAFF - We only had the one guy when we came in so I can't say how the rest of their staffs are. It would've been nice to have him be a little more engaging and smiled or greeted us when we came in. He was nice just way too quiet. VERDICT - I would come back to re-order the fries and Popcorn Chicken the right way and hope I'll get the Cajun seasoning on the fries when I do come back. The five spice was prominent and the coating was on point but can someone explain to me why it's so sweet?? Bite after bite was just a pop of five spice which was suddenly overtaken by a huge amount of sweetness. This is not how popcorn chicken should taste like. Shrimp and truffle fries. The price for the portion paid isn't worth it in my opinion. The shrimps and fries were super crispy but I made the terrible terrible mistake of pouring in their truffle sauce and whatever the green sauce was. The sauces were nothing but sweet. Not savory at all. I had to try to remedy it by adding ketchup. It's a small shop with a chill ambiance, some board games, and neat wall decorations that helped brighten the place up a bit. What a cool spot to hang out with friends! I love the decor and chill vibe. The parking lot isn't too crazy, which is a plus for me. This isn't the typical boba place with just popcorn chicken and fries; there's plenty more they offer. That being said, I still decided to start off "basic" and just try the two aforementioned haha since my sister can't handle spice, I asked for the Cajun garlic fries and popcorn chicken to be mild, but there was barely the slightest kick. Now I know to go for medium. Aside from that, they still tasted fine. I enjoyed the Honeymoon, which is under their signature drinks.
