The texture was dry and tough, and the flavor was stale, not juicy or freshly cooked like popcorn chicken should be. They also fried the basil, which completely ruined it. Basil is supposed to add a fresh aroma, not taste like burnt oil. It felt like there was no care in how the food was prepared. Nothing tasted fresh, and it honestly made me question how long the ingredients had been sitting there. I am surprised a restaurant would serve food like this. Is there even a manager or owner checking the quality before it goes out to customers? Basic food quality control seems to be missing. Stumbled upon this small, cute boba shop on accident after missing my turn towards another shop. They had a banner for their three year anniversary saying all drinks were $3.99 so I couldn't resist. The taro blue milk tea is pretty taro forward so you would think it's a taro milk tea without knowing there's buttfly pea in it. I got the milk teas at 50% sweet but they were on the sweeter side so I'd recommend going low if you don't like sweet drinks. Ultimately, really nice small business worth supporting. Rarely am in the area but if I lived nearby I'd been there wayyy too much. Their brown sugar boba milk is only $3.75 and if you want a large there is a $2 upsize charge. Their large size is similar to Tastea, the cup is HUGE. Two people can share a large size of any drinks. Not bad, not bad at all! I'm not a big boba drinker but I figured I'd give this place a shot. I ordered the Taro Lava and my friend got the Thai Green Tea. For snacks, we ordered the Popcorn Chicken, Fried Mochi, and Curly Fries. To our surprise, the drinks were pretty good. I especially enjoyed mine. The flavors of mine were well balanced -- nothing overpowered the other. The Curly Fries and Popcorn Chicken tasted like any other boba place, nothing unique there. The fries came with ketchup and the chicken came with the usual sweet sauce. The Fried Mochi tasted sort of like the crispy rice that you get when you order spicy tuna crispy rice from sushi places. It has a very similar texture, but, it lacked flavor. It also came with the same sauce that the chicken had, which didn't have an impact at all. Service was good, and the food came out in a timely manner. From what I remember there are 3 tables to sit at inside and a small table outside. There are other unique snacks here that I would like to try, so it is likely I'll be back for that and for my Taro Lava as well :). read more
