my friend and i came to try out mym & study since we've heard some good things about them! the menu and vibes feel like a mixture between some popular chinese chains. the interior overall is very stunning & (extremely) bright. i love the moving butterfly decor & little perfume style set up so you can smell the tea leaves. the drinks themselves taste very similar to the chain's recipe so it's a much closer & less expensive alternative :) the jasmine fresh milk tea with snow top was pretty good! i wish the tea flavor was stronger but still solid. in regards to studying: there's a few tables that are a good height (no back pain here!) but only the ones at the front have outlets. wifi is strong but the music they play is pretty loud (super good music taste though, lots of 2010s edm/pop hits on sat!) overall very solid and would def recommend + come again read more

After seeing this place receive so many positive reviews and frequently come across my social media feed, I was looking forward to giving it a try. Unfortunately, after trying three different drinks, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. The first drink we ordered was the "Premium Jasmine Fresh Milk Tea." I wish the jasmine tea flavor had been more pronounced, as the drink tasted primarily like lightly flavored milk with ice. Given the name and the emphasis on premium jasmine tea, I was expecting a more balanced flavor where the tea itself could actually be appreciated. The second drink was the "White Peach Oolong Tea," which was unfortunately my least favorite. Neither the white peach nor the oolong tea flavors came through. Instead, it tasted more like lightly citrus-infused water, which was especially noticeable given the amount of citrus slices in the cup. I was expecting a refreshing tea with distinct peach and oolong notes, so this was quite disappointing. The last drink we tried was the "Cocoa Strawberry." This one was decent and reminded me of a strawberry Yakult, which I enjoyed. Of the three drinks, this was the one I liked the most. I do want to give credit to the customer service, as the two girls working were very sweet and efficient. Our experience with the staff was positive, and I appreciate the service we received. Overall, I wanted to love this place given the amount of positive feedback I've seen, but unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't live up to the expectations I had going in. Clean and experiential walking in. The decor is bright and aesthetic. They even have fragrance bottles to smell their different teas. The service was wonderful. I had questions and was indecisive, but the employee was patient and super helpful. I would definitely recommend coming here for those reasons alone. Parking isn't bad for a Thursday afternoon. This place has the most beautiful interior and feels very unique. They have a location in San Diego and has brought this new location to OC. A lot of boba places have jasmine snow top or mango coconut drinks, so I was excited to try this place since it's closer to me than Chagee and Molly Tea. I had such a lovely experience at MYM Tea in Garden Grove! The shop has such an elevated and luxurious tea experience, and I really enjoyed being able to smell the different tea aromas before choosing my drink. It made the experience feel much more intentional and unique compared to a typical tea shop. I tried the Jasmine Milk Tea, Royal Fruit Tea, and Kale Boost with aloe vera and basil seeds. The Jasmine Milk Tea was one of my favorites because I really enjoyed the jasmine flavor. The Royal Fruit Tea was refreshing, and the Kale Boost was also really fresh and refreshing with the aloe vera and basil seeds. The customer service was also wonderful. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and helpful when explaining the different teas and drinks. Interior design reminds me of the current hyped chinese milk tea stores. Good lighting and clean. The only issue with my Mango pomelo is that more than 1/4 of it is just pure jello topping. Not a lot of mango bits and I'm already almost full from the jello itself and not the smoothie. Overall the mango is average. Might come back one more time for the Jasmine milk tea. Response to manager: I agree it's up to preference. After going through half the drink, I really enjoyed the mango and pomelo bits. came on a sunday night around 9. inside is very bright and clean with a good amount of seating. they have 2 ordering kiosks by the door or you can order at the counter. drinks took about 10 mins and staff was friendly. coco mango pomelo (2/5) - the drink surprisingly didn't taste like much. the mango they used wasn't very ripe and nothing really stood out. full cup strawberry (3/5) - this was just okay. couldn't really taste the strawberry flavor, it was just super sweet. white peach fresh milk tea (2/5) - this one just tasted like milk. we did get it half sweet though so maybe that's why? all three drinks came out to almost $25 as well. i think for the price point it just wasn't worth it for me. read more

Went here for the first time bc I saw it open recently. Got two drinks. The jasmine milk tea is pretty avg nothing crazy. I also ordered avocado coconut drink. Highly don't recommend unless you like watered down slushy even at regular sweetness. I kindly asked the front desk worker to switch my drink but he sounded like he didn't acknowledge how I felt about the drink and had a little bit of attitude . He also stated that the mango pomelo which I wanted to switch it out would taste the same. Which doesn't really make sense but I guess I could assume that it would be watered down as well. I asked for a recommendation and he told me the royal fruit tea was good and he remade it and the drink was solid.
