I had the Cassia milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi and I loved it. I really like the tapiochi texture, doesn't break easily like jello but more like chewy. I'm not a tea enthusiast or anything but I could enjoy a good milk tea and it was really good. I also had the Manor milk tea sample and that was pretty good as well. Will definitely come back to try different ones! Staffs were really nice and the wait wasn't too long on a Wednesday evening. The inside of the store is very aesthetically pleasing and nice ambiance, though it looks closed from the outside lol.
I ordered the Crème Brûlée Ice Milk with Brown Sugar Tapioca, and it tasted a lot like brown sugar milk boba, but a little more special. I loved the crème brûlée topping. It was thick, creamy, and so good. The tapioca was nice too, perfectly chewy. I'd give the drink a **4.5/5**. The coffee shop has a really cool, minimalistic design. I don't think it's the best place to get work done, though, since there aren't any tables, just chairs. I think the customer service could be a little more welcoming, but other than that, I'd definitely recommend checking it out!
Torotea is finally in OC!!! Torotea makes some high quality tea drinks, along with some innovative and perfectly balanced speciality milk teas. Popcorn Milktea? Creme Brulee? If it's your first time here, you have to try one of those two. Popcorn Milktea - This is their most irresistible drink here. It's a milk tea that perfectly captures the buttery flavor of popcorn while still maintaining a full milk tea profile. It comes with their brown sugar tapiochi, which are square chunks that have the consistency that is a cross between grass jelly and tapioca. Ember Milktea - This one has a very nutty profile. It's got a strong milk tea flavor and the nuttiness hits strong too. Very good if you are craving that nut. Manor Milktea - Hard to describe the flavor on this one. It is a strong black tea that has strong sweetness. The menu calls it malty but I don't know if I would call it malty. It's very good tho. Gardenia Oolong Cold Brew - This is craft oolong tea that is served in glass bottle that usually has 2 or 3 day shelf life. It is not sweet at all. It's power punch iced tea that lets the oolong shine. If you like strong, pure teas, this is definitely a craft tea. I love their tapiochi topping so I will be adding either of their tapiochi flavors to my drinks. I highly recommend this! The lines the first two weeks here were kinda crazy, but it's calmed down. I've been when there was no line outside, and I've also been when there are about 30 people waiting outside. The line moves fairly fast and they come out with samples of their featured tea for that time. The staff is friendly and helpful, they are patient and will answer all your questions about their drinks and you will have questions because they have some funky names for their drinks. This is going to be one of my regular tea rotation spots going forward. You can sit inside but there aren't that many seats. Inside it looks like cross between New Mexico adobes and Tatooine. If you know, you know.
This spot is very unique. First time going into a matcha spot and the inside is nothing that I seen before. Straight out of the movies. The interior of the matcha spot was surreal and good. I ordered the matcha einspanner. The flavor was good. Had a good balance between sweetness and earthy taste of the matcha. The service was good, they take out order in the front and they had samples of drinks in the front for you to try. Overall I give this place a 4/5 star review. The interior inside the business is unique and definitely worth the try and drive to OC for sure. The matcha is good can't go wrong with ordering the matcha.
Glad they opened one in OC because it's a damn drive to 626 area. We came during its soft opening and it was hella packed and busy. Line went by pretty quick though like no less than 20 mins. It was pretty hot that day so it was nice of them to give us free samples of the Guan Yong tea to cool down and taste. I ordered their signature Popcorn milk tea and my gf got the Ember milk tea. Both drinks were a 5/5. Despite the milkiness, you can definitely taste the robust flavor of the tea. Just right amount of sugar, milk and tea combined. The interior is super nice. It gives me those Tulum or Cabo vibes. Simple and rustic. The table is just a slab of rock which I think is neat. The menu is displayed by a projector on top. I like everything about this place. Gotta come back again once the traffic dies down a little. Don't wanna gate-keep this, but it deserves it's recognition!
Torotea is definitely a treat! Drink is delicious but pricey. I always get the cassia tea (noncaffeinated) with barley jelly. It is creamy and smooth and has a nice tea flavor. So grateful I won't have to drive to Diamond Bar or SGV, but I probably still won't frequent often due to the price. Because if it's popularity and how they designed this place, it's more of a grab and go place. It's also disappointing that they don't offer a restroom. They do try to get you in and out. I won't knock a star down for that, but just know you'll have to look for a restroom else and that this place isn't a hangout spot, unless you consider the hangout spot as waiting in line.
I went right after they opened, and the line was very organized, the staff were really nice and helpful with questions, their service was quite fast as well, I didn't think the line took too long to get through, good vibes to sit inside and chat! They had some milk, tea samples, and everything is always good, I tried their location, specific drink, and it was nice and light!

I love the decorations of the abstract figurines and lamb sculpture on the inside Line for ordering was fairly quick but fulfilling orders took a while ~8-10 mins and there was not much seating inside for waiting but it was cool and nice not standing outside! Tea was flavorful and had strong aromatic scents. We were given sample of the osmanthus refresher as drink of the day and it was super light and floral. Orders: Koan Im milk tea was not too sweet, perfect balance of tea and milk, not overpowering with creamer and tea was shining through Overall, this torotea location in santa ana is worth going but have to mindful of the spaces inside and there might be a bit wait for line! Parking was spacious and easy to park as well!
As a die-hard Torotea fan, I'm very happy they have an Orange County location and close to me as well. Plenty of parking and inside looks like the other locations. About a 30 minute wait for drinks when I lined up at 1pm on a Sunday, around the door of the optometrist. Thankfully it's in the shade and goes quickly. The exclusive Muscat drinks are very tasty. The Pear Blossom tastes like what a white grape iced tea would taste like and the Muscat Oolong tastes like a sweet oolong jelly. The Osmanthus Pear Blossom was a little too weak and pales in comparison to the famous Osmanthus Citrus. Definitely excited for their grand opening soon.
Finally Torotea is here in OC. It is a little far from where I live but I made it out here twice last week. Parking is very easy, huge parking lot. The decor is very minimalistic and calm. There are some seatings, but it seems like most customers just order and go. Service is friendly and pretty efficient. Drinks are very good, and OMG the tapiochi!! It is addicting. I need to come back to try their signature popcorn milk tea and other specials. They need to turn up the AC a little tho. Both times I was there, it felt warm and stuffy indoor.
I have a friend who somehow always knows where the hottest new joints are. She suggested we come here after our lunch date. I wasn't surprised that there was a long line. People in Irvine love waiting in lines for their drinks. It was cool though, there was a friendly young staff member handing out samples for everyone waiting in line. Once you step inside, the interior is unlike any other tea or boba shop. It was like being inside a cave. My friend loved it and snapped a ton of pics lol. The person who took my order was super friendly and patient. I asked for non or low caffeinated options and she was helpful. We picked the barley jelly for the topping and it was a great choice! All of us loved our drinks. The tea flavor was deep but not overpowering and not bitter. The jelly was truly the star though. Super cute place, definitely will come back! PS - came back again with my kiddo. She got the crème brulee. Oh my gosh it's so good. It may be a touch too sweet for me and you can't adjust the sweetness level on that one.
I've heard the legends about how great Torotea is from friends, and so I had to try it once a location opened in Santa Ana. I can safely safe that this place lives up to the hype, but with a small catch. This Torotea is located in the corner of the Burlington plaza off Bristol, next to the Round Table. It's very unassuming from the outside as the windows are covered, but is a real vibe once you walk in. There's a handful of seating options inside, but if it's busy (which it is most of the time), plan to take your drinks to go. The staff were all so nice and handed out samples while we waited to order. I got the Uva milk tea w/ brown sugar tapiochi and the Ember Milk Tea w/ Roasted Barley Tea Jelly and both were fantastic. The milk tea has so much flavor and is the perfect amount of sweetness, and the jelly and tapiochi are the best milk tea add-ons I've ever had. This is truly top quality stuff that really took me by surprise. Overall, I absolutely plan to come back and try some of their other drinks. The catch I mentioned earlier is that I absolutely will not wait if there's a line outside (which tends to be the case during peak hours), so I'd plan my trip accordingly to beat the rush. I highly recommend giving this place a shot when you can, you won't be disappointed!
Though I might have torotea at home, I might be tempted to make the trek to OC just for the location exclusives. I arrived here on a Friday afternoon and waited in line for a good 30 minutes or so just to try the exclusive drinks, and I am so glad they didn't disappoint. My friend got the muscat oolong tea, 0 sugar & less ice. The muscat flavor was quite strong and fragrant, and the tea was rich and flavorful. I got the muscat passionfruit bloom less sweet & 0 ice with passionfruit jelly. I thought it was a little sweet with the combination of passionfruit jelly, but I came back again to try it with 0 sugar and i thought it was perfect. Overall, torotea puts out the best location exclusives yet, and I can't believe I'm going to be driving down to OC just for these drinks :")

Went here on Sunday during their soft opening still. The line looked pretty long but moved quickly. We were around the pizza place and got inside to order in 15 minutes. We ended up getting our order 15 minutes later, so total 30 minute visit The inside is really well designed and has a nice mood to it. The music didn't quite match the environment, but that's okay whatever works! When we went to order, the service was a bit aloof. This was our first time there and they didn't really guide us through what goes in each drink so she was kinda staring at us waiting for us to say something. They also had free samples to try some tea which was nice. I got the Crème Brûlée Ice Milk with Tapiochi. The tapiochi is definitely yummy and has a fun texture to it. They did include a lot of topping which was nice! This definitely felt more like an indulgent dessert than a refreshing drink, but had more to do with it being a milk/pudding based drink! read more
Torotea is finally in Orange County thank GOD!!! no more driving up to La now, we are also blessed in OC with the best tea house. NOT AND AD, this is purely the best tea I've ever tasted. The R&D goes crazy with these drinks and the flavors are out of this world; very iconic and different from other tea houses. They have jelly instead of boba as toppings, different flavors of jelly as well. My favorite drink is the osmanthus citrus refresher with osmanthus jelly. I quality control this with every torotea location and it's the same great flavor every time. 10/10. Torotea always has the best servers and kind staff at every location. They know what to recommend when you're lost and they also advise you on which jelly to choose with which tea. The ambiance is minimalistic with different color themes for each location. The space calls for rest and relaxation, to take a break from the busy every day life. I love this brand and what it stands for, and I hope you try and love it too! read more
Torotea is now open in OC! Finally, one of my fave boba spots has an OC location in Santa Ana and I know I will be here often. They are located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a similar aesthetic interior as their other locations but with slightly less seating. I got the Kumquat Oolong Passion Bloom and wifey got the Oojicha Einspanner. Both drinks had very unique flavor profiles and were a nice treat. All of the staff here are super chill and welcoming. Torotea will be seeing my big back a lot more often now! read more
Such a cool aesthetic inside and so different than any boba place I've been to. The drink had an actual tea taste to it and not just pumped full of sugar and syrup which I truly appreciate. It's a high quality tea and Im looking forward to trying the other drinks. read more

Pretty quick service for the amount of orders taken! My friends had always raved about how good the drinks are from the Torotea, so I was super excited when this new location opened up closer to home. I ordered what seemed to be their top seller- the popcorn milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi. The drink/tea itself was alright. To me, the tea just wasn't as flavorful/strong as I expected it to be. I'm not sure if getting it less sweet skewered the tea ratio, but I wasn't too impressed with the drink. I think the best part of the drink was the topping- the brown sugar tapiochi! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll get this drink again because it was mediocre and quite pricey- $8.65 plus $1 tip came out to $9.65! If I get the chance to visit again, I'll probably try a different drink and hope for a better tasting experience! read more
The popcorn milk tea is very hyped up for good reason - for an exciting flavor, the taste was executed perfectly (fragrant and not too sweet). The jelly is like a bigger yet softer fresh topping (not chewy as much as soft). Even the jelly toppings have such elegant flavors like osmanthus jelly. I'll definitely try that next time. We all got the popcorn milk tea, iced creme brulee milk with brown sugar tapi mochi, misty oolong with osmanthus jelly, and my friend got some pure tea flavor and loved it. The line was not bad, and they're so fast. Also, the sweetest most genuine girl ever rang up my order this afternoon, and I've never encountered such a kind interaction while ordering. It's so pretty inside. It's also really loud but in a good way like if you're introverted and wanna fade into the background. It's in a plaza with a big parking lot so no stress there. read more
FINALLY a location in OC!! I've been meaning to try torotea but they were always too far. Excited to see one near me & that I got the chance to check them out during pre-opening :') Totally get the hype around their popcorn milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi! It really does taste like an oolong milk tea with popcorn butter flavor. Their matcha duo einspanner is also surprisingly good!? a bit on the grassier side but still matcha forward. Overall, love how their drinks come less sweetened (around 50% sweet?) Cute tiny space, minimal interior, abundant parking, and the sweetest owner. Congrats on the new space!! read more
Before you even order, the first thing you'll notice is the ambiance and service! The space is clean, cozy, and has a really earthy aesthetic that makes it feel inviting. I ordered the dalgona latte and the jasmine milk tea with brown sugar jelly. My favorite was definitely the dalgona latte the flavor was rich, creamy, and incredibly smooth. The jasmine milk tea, on the other hand, was a bit underwhelming. It lacked a strong tea flavor, and I mostly tasted the brown sugar jelly. Even so, I'd definitely come back just for the dalgona latte! read more
I've been waiting for this day for so long!!!! Im so happy there is a torotea in OC now!! We stopped by during Torotea's soft opening and got there around 10:05 a.m. There were already about 10 people in line, but it moved pretty quickly maybe waited 10-15 min in line. The inside has the same modern cave vibe as the other Torotea locations, which I really like. It feels clean, minimal, and cozy. We tried the location exclusive Muscat Oolong Passion Bloom, the Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea with brown sugar tapiochi, and the Hojicha Einspanner. One thing to note is that you can't customize the Hojicha Einspanner or add toppings, so keep that in mind before ordering. The Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea was absolutely perfect and exactly how I like my milk tea. It was smooth, balanced, and seriously addicting. The best part is a tapiochi!! I finished it so fast without even realizing it. The Muscat Oolong Passion Bloom wasn't really for me because I'm not a huge passion fruit fan, but my boyfriend loved it and thought the flavors worked really well together. read more
Torotea This was my first time visiting Torotea, and my first impression was that the shop is very cute. The design is simple and minimal, without too much decoration, but the space feels clean and comfortable. The staff were also very sweet and friendly. I ordered two Popcorn Milk Teas: one with brown sugar tapioca and one with osmanthus jelly. I also tried the Muscat Oolong Passion Bloom with passion fruit jelly and the Mulberry Oolong Tea with osmanthus jelly. Overall, the drinks were not too sweet, which I liked. However, the flavors were a little hard to describe and not very clear or distinctive to me. The toppings, though, were really good and definitely worth trying. In my opinion, I would probably need to come back and try more drinks to know if there is something that really makes me want to crave it or remember it. read more
The hype with Torotea never ceases with a different location, so I'd definitely wait a bit for the hype to go down, because we waited at least 30 minutes for our drinks. But the staff were so kind to bring us free samples while we were waiting in line and they were very organized in terms of letting people in and getting their drinks. The drinks at Torotea always amaze me with the rich tea flavor and the milky base. My favorite is their Cassia Milk Tea, which is a lot more of a lighter milky flavor compared to their Popcorn Milk Tea, which has more of a nuttier flavor. Both drinks had tapiochi, which is my absolute favorite. It's Torotea's signature topping, consisting of a rich jelly flavor that's so nice and chewy. The drinks are a little more on the pricier side, however, I would recommend this place for first timers. I love their chill ambiance and the dim lighting of the place itself. Very unique! read more

Stopped by around 7:35 PM on Friday night and found decent enough parking in the large lot. There was obviously a lot of hype around this new location, as the line took about 40 minutes to get through, and our drinks came out another 10-15 minutes later. It was a wait, but the staff kept things moving as best they could given how busy it was. The interior has a calm, modern feel with warm yellow lighting, a clay-toned design, and music pumping in the background. One thing I appreciated was the variety on the menu. There are a lot of unique drinks, including several caffeine-free options. While we waited, the staff offered free samples of their Osmanthus Citrus Refresher, which was light, smooth, and pleasantly sweet without being overpowering. It's also their only water-based drink if you're looking for something less rich. The Muscat Oolong Pure Tea was a location exclusive, and probably the most tea flavored drink we ordered. The oolong flavor really shines, with just a subtle hint of muscat grape in the background. I'd recommend it for anyone who actually enjoys the taste of tea rather than sweeter milk drinks. The Crème Brûlée IceMilk with Brown Sugar Tapiochi was definitely the sweetest drink of the bunch. The brown sugar flavor comes through clearly, and the drink has a rich, creamy texture that's more like a dessert. The tapiochi was excellent too, with a soft, chewy texture that almost felt like jelly while still keeping its classic tapioca flavor. Would order it again as more of a dessert drink. The Popcorn MilkTea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi was probably the most unique drink we tried. The popcorn flavor is light and buttery, not artificial or like movie theater popcorn, which pairs surprisingly well with the oolong tea. Again, the tapiochi was phenomenal. Service was excellent throughout. Even with the long line, the staff took the time to answer our questions and make recommendations, which I appreciated. The drinks aren't cheap, but the quality, aesthetics, and attention to detail help justify the price. There are still plenty of items on the menu I'd like to try, so I'd definitely come back. read more

Toro Tea has finally arrived to Orange County! Without having to drive 45 minutes to Diamond Bar or Chino Hills, I can make a 10 minute drive here! The interior of the shop is very cute! It's very similar to the other locations. The production of drinks did not take too long while I was there, and during the wait I just admired how hard the staff were working. I would be sitting and a staff member would approach me and ask me if I wanted to partake in sampling one of their teas that were freshly made. Customer service was great and I enjoyed my time visiting one of my favorite tea shops! All of the drinks I've tried have not let me down. Something about Toro Tea is that all of their drinks are very tea forward. I would NOT consider this place as a "boba shop" since they don't provide boba at all! (Which is a great change of pace from every other shop). Instead, they created something that I've never had before, TAPIOCHI! My favorite drink is the Popcorn Milk Tea "perfect sweet, perfect ice" with Brown sugar Tapiochi. The brown sugar tapiochi has the texture of both grass jelly and mochi. It's something entirely different from anything any other shop has, and that's what makes Toro Tea so very worth it. Instead of saying "regular ice" or "regular sweet", they describe it as "perfect ice" or "perfect sweet" and the confidence in that statement proves just how great this company truly is. One of my TOP tea shops, if not the BEST tea shop I have ever been to in my life. The quality and dedication to their craft is what defines this place. read more
I was so excited hearing Torotea was finally coming to OC, and couldn't have been happier with where they chose! It was like hearing my prayers get answered since I previously wrote I hoped for an OC expansion haha. As with their previous locations, the interior design is gorgeous and I always love how elevated and unique it feels to be inside. Their menu is on a projector which is cool, but a little bit hard to see if you're not close enough in my opinion. While there is a line since it's still soft opening, I'm sure it'll be a little better over time, and the wait isn't too long after ordering. My girlfriend loves their crème brulee ice milk, and I'm a big fan of their popcorn milk tea, which is probably their defining and most unique drink. The quality is as good as it is at their other locations which is a plus. You get that underlying taste of popcorn, in a good way, mixed with the black assam milk tea, and it comes with their brown sugar tapiochi which I love. It's all around one of my favorite drinks in general, across multiple places, so I highly recommend it! It is pricy, but it's kind of like an experience in general with their store and drinks. read more
Torotea in Santa Ana is finally opened! Their soft opening started this week. So exciting to have one closer to home. I got there at 5:30pm and I was out around 6:30pm so it was about an hour to wait in line, order and get my drink. We ordered popcorn milk tea and jasmine oolong with the brown sugar tapiochi. Love the tea! And the tapiochi is interesting. It's like a fusion of jello and tapioca! I loved it! However, it is on the pricier side. It's like $7-10 for one drink. Topping is $1. My total was like $18 for 2 drinks. So happy don't need to wait till I'm at Covina or Diamond Bar. Go check them out during their soft opening! They open at 11am and expect to wait. So happy Torotea finally opened in OC! Plentyyy of parking space. The wait was a little over an hour from start to finish, but they manage the line well by only letting people in when there's enough seating to avoid overcrowding. Ordering is quick, and they even have someone taking orders away from the register to keep things moving. The owner and another gentleman were outside chatting with people in line, and you can tell they're both really passionate about Torotea and the menu. It was fun hearing how they came up with the flavors. They mentioned the passionfruit brings out more of the muscat flavor, and I definitely found that to be true. The entire staff was friendly and professional. They also handed out water, and Round Table Pizza next door was kind enough to offer samples to everyone waiting. My go-to popcorn milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi was perfect (uniquely roasty). Their tapiochi is a must-try, and I actually prefer it over traditional boba. It's also apparently a little lower in calories, which is a nice bonus. I also tried the Irvine-exclusive Muscat Oolong Passion, which was super refreshing and very muscat-forward, along with the limited batch Gardenia Cold Brew, which comes unsweetened. I'd definitely come back once the lines die down or when they launch online ordering. read more
Just as good as the ones in Diamond Bar/SGV/Chino Hills! Personal favorites are the Koan-Im & Cassia for more subtle notes and pairs well with either the black tea/brown sugar tapioca. Not a fan of the popcorn milk tea, but that's just preference. Muscat Oolong is a special drink specific to this location & was refreshing! Drink Logistics: Definitely recommend getting tapioca mochi, as it has a nice texture that pairs well per drink & is my reason for being a favorite. Perfect ice is good, they don't overdo it, they only have one size of drink. They have Perfect, Less, or no Sugar for sweetness. Parking is plentiful, line is most likely going to be long for a bit for the first few weeks, employees were super nice. read more

First time trying Torotea and it did not disappoint! I tried their Cassia Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi and their Ember Milk Tea with Black Sugar Tapiochi. The tea was SO good. You can taste the quality of the tea in every sip. The Cassia tea offers a creamy malty flavour whereas the ember tea offers a a soothing smoky flavor. The tapiochi topping is super unique as well. It's their signature viral topping that's made fresh every day - half mochi and half tapioca. It's for a soft and stretchy mochi texture. They also have jellies and I can't wait to try these as well. It's also made fresh. When I went, they had osmanthus, barley and passion fruit. The customer service was really good too. We didn't wait too long - around 15/20 mins from waiting in line, ordering and getting our drink. We went a bit before people finished work on a weekday. The interior of Torotea is wabi sabi which is to mimic a serene, meditative sanctuary. It leans completely into the ancient Japanese philosophy of funding profound beauty in nature, simplicity and imperfection. Truly a great spot to visit if you haven't already! I see why there's always a line out the door! Went on a Saturday right before closing. I got a free sample in line and a recommendation for their location-specific Muscat Oolong Passion Bloom tea. I ordered that with their tapiochi. The tea was super fresh but for me the tapiochi was the star of the show--the texture was really unique and I love a chewy boba topping. Would definitely recommend the muscat oolong passion tea too while the weather is still warm. read more

If you love boba, this is the place to go! You can tell the tea they use is high quality, and the tapioca boba consistency is perfect and not too sweet. I love that they have unique flavors such as the popcorn drink and also have non-caffeinated options such as the cassia milk tea. Highly recommend trying their tapiochi, which is like a jelly! It takes a while to get your drinks but it's totally worth it. It's also very affordable for boba like around $6-7. I can't wait to go back! read more
