I am hooked on Aunty Jenny oat milk Champaca or Da Hong Pao tea. They both had a unique expensive tea taste. I usually got them with brown sugar & crystal boba. The soft chewy brown sugar boba tasted very yummy & not like other boba places. I also got their fresh peach oolong & Champaca tea too. The quality & freshness were very good. Finally got a chance to try Auntea Jenny. This location had been crazy when they first opened, so we placed an online order when we were in the area. Although the estimated time was about 40 minutes, the order was ready under 10 minutes. The store itself was a bit busy, but nothing to crazy. We got the premium Jasmine Tea Latte and their new Peach Oolong Fresh Milk Tea Daifuku. The peach polong was flavorful and had good toppings. We were a bit disappointed with the jasmine. People raved about the quality of the teas here, but to is it was just ok. Not bad, but nothing special either. The tea was a bit over steeped, so maybe it was just a bad day. The drinks are great and worth recommending, but the egg tarts are just average. Mango Pomelo Sago Latte: Excellent--easily my favorite item so far at this shop. Who knew the sweet and tangy mix of mango and pomelo combined with slightly bitter coffee would be such a delicious hit? The boba texture rivals One Zo's handmade boba, with that soft, chewy bite similar to tangyuan (glutinous rice balls). Since the store just opened, it gets super busy with delivery orders. I wait ten minutes for my drink, only to realize they forgot to add the boba (though they fix it right away after I mention it at the counter). Black Sesame Taro Milk Tea with Grains: Also good, coming in as a close second to the Mango Pomelo Sago Latte. Red Robe Oolong paired with taro paste, purple rice, and boba at the bottom has a very pleasant texture, and the shop's standard sweetness level feels just right. There is a Buy One Get One Free deal for new drinks, but take note: if you order on the kiosk, you have to manually add two drinks to your cart (it won't apply if you only add one). Classic Original Egg Tart & Taro & Red Glutinous Rice Egg Tart: Both are pretty mediocre. Baked goods don't seem to be this shop's strong suit. I ordered the Jasmine Green Tea and the White Peach Oolong tea latte, and both tasted fresh and well balanced without being overly sweet. This was our first time trying Auntea Jenny and my husband and I both enjoyed our drinks. Ordering is done on the kiosks up front. We were comparing these two drinks to the ones we tried at TeaByDo because they are very similar. However, we both thought that the Auntea Jenny mango drink was better since it had higher mango content. It tastes like an actual fruit smoothie. I was actually getting grapefruit pieces. The taro boba drink also tasted much better than the TeaByDo taro ball drink which we didn't like because it didn't taste balanced at their recommended 70% sweetness level. The taro in Auntea Jenny drink is a thick paste and the sweetness was balanced. The boba was really nice and chewy. The only negative thing I can say is that if you are lactose intolerant, most of their fresh milk teas do not have a substitution option. I've been seeing this spot on Instagram and decided to give it a try. You order your drink on a digital screen by the entrance. Because of this, no one greets you. There was an incentive for signing up and downloading the app, so I ordered through the app. The app tells you it'll take 35 minutes but it actually took only 3 minutes, so that's hard to plan if you had been ordering from home. This place was popping on a Friday night with a lot of the younger crowd out for some late night revving and tea, the classic Irvine experience. We found out it was a 40 minute wait at around 9pm. Since we had time to kill, we were fine waiting. My friend ordered the mango coconut sago, and I opted for the jasmine lemon tea. We browsed Tokyo Central while we waited and eventually wandered back when my friend received the text that the drinks were ready. The drinks were sooooo good! I'm not easily impressed, but both drinks (we tried each other's) were some of the best of each flavor I've ever had. I've found that mango sago tends to be too icy at most places, and boba shops often mess up the balance of the jasmine lemon tea but not this place. Both drinks were executed perfectly. Worth the wait? Yep definitely for a chill Friday night. If you don't have as much time though, it's probably better to schedule an advance order for pick-up via the app. read more

There are cute little tables, music playing, etc. It's next to Tokyo Central with Mitsuwa and Daiso and lots of fan-favorite restaurants nearby. Honestly, just based off these 2 drinks alone it's pretty disappointing. Service was decent considering the amount of orders they had. I think it took roughly 25 minutes to get my order. When my number was called, I went up to the counter to let them know my number, then the lady that was helping me started doing something else so I was just standing there. Then another lady that was moving to look busy at the counter where all the prepped drinks were asked if I needed help, I said yes and provided my number. That's when she packed my drinks to go. The Longjing green mochi ball fresh milk tea tasted like watered down milk. I love mochi as well but the texture of the mochi wasn't that great. I wonder if it's because they're making it in batch and scooping it in the cup during prep so it gets all stuck together and more chewy while sitting out. Longjing tea latte is the same disappointment. Watered down milk with barely a hint of tea flavor. As far as the interior, it was really loud inside when I went and not much seating available. There's very limited seating inside and the location can get very busy. I ordered the drinks online at 8:11pm and the pick up time was listed as 8:46pm. I arrived at 8:46pm and my ticket number was still listed as "preparing" on their screens at that time. We kept checking their screens and the link that we were provided, but it just stayed on the preparing screen. At 9:40pm, my ticket number disappeared from the display screens and it was not on the preparing or ready list. I went inside to ask about what happened and my drinks happened to be ready. I think there's a little bit of a disconnect with their online ordering system because my order still showed up as "preparing" even after 11:00pm. The drinks both looked and tasted good. The flavors were strong and were of very good quality. I would go back if there were a shorter wait time or once their ordering system is more organized. However, with the amount of other boba and tea shops in Irvine, I'd rather save my time and go to another location rather than wait an hour and a half for drinks. read more
