Their matcha with boba is, so far, my favorite drink, and matcha is normally not my favorite, so that says a lot! It's easy to order online. My pickup was ready way earlier than what it initially said on the text. The workers are friendly and say, "Welcome!" when you walk in, so make sure you say hi back when you walk in. (That is such a pet peeve of mine when people don't respond to greetings. Food service workers are people too.) The place is temperature cool and cute. There is even a bidet in the restroom. There are cute little tables, music playing, etc. It's next to Tokyo Central with Mitsuwa and Daiso and lots of fan-favorite restaurants nearby. Honestly, just based off these 2 drinks alone it's pretty disappointing. Service was decent considering the amount of orders they had. I think it took roughly 25 minutes to get my order. When my number was called, I went up to the counter to let them know my number, then the lady that was helping me started doing something else so I was just standing there. Then another lady that was moving to look busy at the counter where all the prepped drinks were asked if I needed help, I said yes and provided my number. That's when she packed my drinks to go. The Longjing green mochi ball fresh milk tea tasted like watered down milk. I love mochi as well but the texture of the mochi wasn't that great. I wonder if it's because they're making it in batch and scooping it in the cup during prep so it gets all stuck together and more chewy while sitting out. Longjing tea latte is the same disappointment. Watered down milk with barely a hint of tea flavor. As far as the interior, it was really loud inside when I went and not much seating available. This place was popping on a Friday night with a lot of the younger crowd out for some late night revving and tea, the classic Irvine experience. We found out it was a 40 minute wait at around 9pm. Since we had time to kill, we were fine waiting. My friend ordered the mango coconut sago, and I opted for the jasmine lemon tea. We browsed Tokyo Central while we waited and eventually wandered back when my friend received the text that the drinks were ready. The drinks were sooooo good! I'm not easily impressed, but both drinks (we tried each other's) were some of the best of each flavor I've ever had. I've found that mango sago tends to be too icy at most places, and boba shops often mess up the balance of the jasmine lemon tea but not this place. Both drinks were executed perfectly. Worth the wait? Yep definitely for a chill Friday night. If you don't have as much time though, it's probably better to schedule an advance order for pick-up via the app. read more

A good place for teas and drinks, but it's not worth more than a 10 minute wait. The parking lot can get very crowded at times, but we were able to find a spot nearby. There's very limited seating inside and the location can get very busy. I ordered the drinks online at 8:11pm and the pick up time was listed as 8:46pm. I arrived at 8:46pm and my ticket number was still listed as "preparing" on their screens at that time. We kept checking their screens and the link that we were provided, but it just stayed on the preparing screen. At 9:40pm, my ticket number disappeared from the display screens and it was not on the preparing or ready list. I went inside to ask about what happened and my drinks happened to be ready. I think there's a little bit of a disconnect with their online ordering system because my order still showed up as "preparing" even after 11:00pm. The drinks both looked and tasted good. The flavors were strong and were of very good quality. I would go back if there were a shorter wait time or once their ordering system is more organized. They have a liquid grape jam they squirt into it and it gives it a strong color and taste that reminds me of flat grape soda or cough syrup. I have a hard time believing they used 100% natural flavoring for it. 2.) the toppings threw me off. I ordered sago and grape chunks, but when I started drinking, I only had a few tiny pieces of sago and lots of beans, crystal boba, and chunky jelly.........idk what all that was but it wasn't what I expected, it wasn't my cup of tea, and there was more of the things I didn't realize I'd ordered with my default drink than things I actually ordered. Auntea Jenny recently opened in Irvine, in the same plaza as Tokyo Central and Boiling Point. The parking lot is pretty awful. I passed by a few times before I successfully ordered a drink here, because they're so busy. The "new" hype problems. When I entered there was 2 kiosks to order but it was really disorderly and crowded. They had one staff member at the door but this girl was probably the most useless employee cause she didn't help customers with the kiosk and she didn't direct traffic and didn't give any recommendations. If anything, she just took up the space if she wasn't going to be helpful. I was extra annoyed because this rude customer who came after me cut in front of me, and the staff just stood there and did nothing. I even pointed it out to the staff and she just shrugged. By time I got to the kiosk, I just wanted to be quick since there was a line. I ordered a Taro Boba Fresh Milk Tea ($6.99) at 70% sugar. As I was clicking through quickly, I almost got tricked by this 18% default tip FOR A KIOSK. Excuse me... NO!! I had to go back to remove the tip from the ZERO SERVICE I received. It was soooooo busy, I decided to step outside and wait. It was so stuffy inside. To the credit of their behind the counter staff, they were all working quickly and diligently to crank out online and kiosk orders. When I got my drink... I actually liked it. Besides all the hype, auntee Jenny has one of the best pomelo mango sagos I've had in the area! The shopping center that it's located in sucks to be honest, only because there's truly too many good food spots jammed into a strip mall with chaotic parking and drivers. Also there's only one or two ways in or out of the plaza (this is what creates the bottleneck) Compare it to the Diamond Jamboree plaza (iykyk) The service is nice and quick depending on the day. There was a staff calling out order numbers for pick up, and there was an electronic display on the drinks' progression. However, the staff never called my number, and the electronic display was confusing as well. It doesn't seem like they make drinks in order. Many customers after me got their drinks, and I was still waiting for mine. I finally went up to the counter and asked for my drink. It was just sitting there. Now onto the drink itself. I order a hot Golden Milk Tea. The drink itself was not even warm. It was room temp or just drink without ice. The tea tasted floral, which I didn't like. I didn't expect a Ceylon based black tea to be floral. Maybe it's the sweetener they use I'm not sure. The boba texture was okay, a little mushy. My wife wanted to try this when she heard one was opening up near us. The first time we tried going it was too crowded and we ended up leaving. The next time we thought of ordering ahead online... was that a mistake. Even after ordering ahead and when the app tells you that the order is ready, it's not. We still had to wait an hour after the app said it's ready for pickup and the employees just told us that they were working on orders ahead of ours. Either the app or the store is being mismanaged right now and it's to the detriment of their consumers. On top of that I thought that their drinks were just alright and the flavor kind of muted. I randomly saw this new boba tea shop in the Tokyo Central shopping center and had to see what it was all about. It's a small store with a few small tables inside but most of them were occupied by people waiting for drinks. On a Sunday evening there were a good amount of people but no line to order, so we decided to give it a try. Ordering is done either through a kiosk or you can scan a QR code with your phone. We ordered through the kiosk but ordering from your phone might be better because certain drinks weren't available on the kiosk for some reason, but after we ordered we saw that they were available. Their ordering system is frustrating because it doesn't give an accurate wait time and although the screen shows what order numbers are ready vs. being prepared, it's pointless. They need to do something to improve their system. I got the Grape Crystal Jasmine Tea Punch ($7.79) and I can't say it was worth the wait. It's nice that it came with tea jelly and crystal pearls, but the grape flavor wasn't good and the drink wasn't cold enough. I was so underwhelmed with my experience that I didn't even take a picture of my drink. If you haven't tried this place yet, I would wait awhile before you do. read more
