Coco Strawberry and Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte
    Zachary H.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon while shopping at the mall. There was a short line, but it moved quickly, so the wait wasn't bad at all. The shop is more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to hang out. There are only a few seats available, so I wouldn't plan on staying for long if it's busy. I ordered the Coco Strawberry. The drink had a nice strawberry flavor, and the boba was cooked well with a good chewy texture. It also came with strawberry pieces, which were a nice addition, but they didn't necessarily make the drink much better for me. Overall, it was a solid boba tea, but not one that really stood out compared to other places. I'd order it again if I happened to be in the mall, but I probably wouldn't make a special trip just for it. If you're already shopping and want something refreshing, it's a perfectly good option.

    Dirty Avocado

This place has quickly become a favorite when I'm at South Coast. Located near Bloomingdale's. I crave their Dirty Avocado (avocado smoothie & espresso) on a regular basis! It's sooo delicious, creamy and filling! I ask for their lowest possible sugar level and it's perfection! The last time I came by I wanted to try their matcha but was told they had been out for several days due to shipping issues. Hope to get to try the matcha here soon! Wait times can be a bit longer here but I promise that it's worth the wait. They also a seating area and offer various pastries too.

This place always delivers the best drinks and it's always my dessert or pick me up when I'm at SCP. They have a huge selection of drinks and non caffeinated drinks for my little ones as well. If you want to be rewarded and accumulate points just type in your phone number at checkout. This place is located downstairs if you are at Anqi or paradise dynasty. There are no designated tables and chairs for Cha Redefine but there's seating close by.

Mango Passion Chill & Coco Strawberry

We don't usually go out of our way to come here just for this, but we will stop by if we're already shopping at South Coast Plaza. There's never really a long line. Service is quick and drinks are made promptly. I usually always get the blueberry oat milk matcha and my husband always gets the mango mango. Both are good, but yesterday we decided we wanted to try something new. He ended up trying the mango passion chill and I got the coco strawberry. I might've just found my new favorite drink. The strawberry mixed with avocado tasted much better than it sounds. Sweet & creamy texture. I can see myself getting this drink more here on out. My husband enjoyed the mango passion but said he still likes the mango mango more because it's a little sweeter than mango passion fruit.

On the lower end of the Collage in South Coast Plaza is Cha Redefine, a small boba spot located nearby a ton of other food areas. It's typically not too busy as I feel like not many people go to the Collage or South Coast Plaza when looking for boba. Drinks don't take too long to be made so waiting isn't a big issue usually. I typically try different drinks whenever I come, from their matcha lattes to newer drinks like their lychee rice. The drinks are pretty standard, which is nice since South Coast Plaza is a big mall so having the option to come here for a drink is great. They're good and all flavor wise, but I'm not exactly going out of my way to get Cha Redefine unless I'm in the mall. The sizes are also a bit small which I'm not too fond of. Considering the addition of Chagee and Heytea as well, there's going to be more options available and nothing quite sticks out for me here.

This location is inside SCP across from Le Shrimp, in front of the lowest level of Blooms. Drinks here are good and their soft warm bobas are yummy. Their tea based drinks are strong, and I love it! Really good high quality drink. Would def recommend. My only qualm is the drink is somehow less than normal... I usually finish my drink from their shop so fast..

I was upstairs having a late lunch and came down the escalator to see what was in this food hall area and stumbled across this. I tried the new lychee rice milk tea which was interesting! I liked it but didn't love the jelly at the bottom. I would probably do no toppings in this drink. It wasn't creamy like a milk drink, but more like a tea blend. I was curious to try the matcha and coffee drinks.

matcha einspanner, Cha Cha Lychee Rice, Lemon Cha
    Terri S.

Their matcha einspanner was so delicious! It was sweet, creamy, and I really loved the crispy rice they sprinkled on top. Although, I wished the size was a little bigger, my matcha felt really small; and I don't remember having the option to choose a size. The workers were fast and got our drinks out in no time. This shop is located at the back of the bloomingdale's, surrounded by other neighboring restaurants and food stalls. It was really easy to spot this place!

I love love love their coco mango/coco strawberry so much that I always make a stop here when I visit south coast plaza. I usually ask which one is better depending on which fruit is in season. I love the avocado smoothie with the fruit puree at the bottom. Both great combos and very yums! Right now they have 20% off on Tuesdays if you're part of their free membership. They also come out with new seasonal drinks too. They can understandably get very busy on weekends but I still stop by regardless lol I recommend a try if you want some boba while you're shopping around!

We had such a nice time grabbing drinks at Cha. The staff are always super friendly and we've been loving the chance to try their soft serve flavors (when the machine isn't broken). We went at a slower time so getting our drinks took less than 5 minutes which is always appreciated. The matcha shortage unfortunately hits the drinks really hard since their larger sizes have been scaled down but still love the flavor.

    Tiffany N.

If you walk toward the end of Bloomingdale's on the first floor, you'll find a small food corner with a pho shop and a boba stand. The area was surprisingly quiet when I visited, I didn't see many customers, which made it easy to stop by and give it a try. I ordered the Matcha Einspanner and it was delicious. The matcha flavor was rich and well-balanced, and the espresso complemented it nicely without overpowering the drink. It was flavorful, refreshing, and tasted higher quality than I expected. The only downside was the portion size, which felt a little small for the price. That said, considering it's located inside Bloomingdale's, it's somewhat understandable. Overall, it's a nice spot to grab a drink and take a break after a long day of shopping. I'd definitely stop by again to try more items on the menu.

A nice classy place for some boba drinks coffee and tea, but I would say a bit on the pricey side, which is understandable due to the area that it's in. During the Bogo weekend, I tried the cha-cha Hojicha and I enjoyed the chewiness of the oats and mochi wasn't as chewy but some more of a sleek, milky texture. It's conveniently located with other food shops, such as dim sum at Paradise dynasty . It is a bit hidden due to the fact that it's within Bloomingdale's. But drinks are made relatively quickly. No, I recently learned they do charge a dollar extra for water, but they do allow free refills if you have your own bottle or Hydro flask

Osmanthus Oolong with Vanilla Cream Foam Cha
    Jamie N.

I was still full from dinner across the way, but wanted a palate reset with a lil tea. The menu boasts a lot of variety with drinks, soft serve and dessert. However, I'm pretty basic so a tea with milk foam is my typical, classic go-to beverage. Ordering process was pretty quick. They ask for size and you get options to customize your drink with toppings, sweetness and ice. I decided to go with an Osmanthus Oolong with Vanilla Cream Foam Cha with sugar adjusted to 25%. For the cream foam topping, you get 5 options to choose from: vanilla, matcha, coffee, avocado, and black sesame. Even at 25%, it was more sweet than I had anticipated, but the foam was likely sweetened as well, so it may have impacted the overall drink. Prior to mixing the foam, I did taste the osmanthus tea itself and I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite fragrant, a mix of floral and a hint of candied fruit flavor. Why have I not discovered osmanthus sooner?! Pickup when the drinks were ready was easy too. They just call out your number and it was less than 5 minute wait at the time I went. Straws, festive cup sleeves and napkins were available at pickup area.

I honestly can't imagine how sweet it would be at 100%. The boba was a little too chewy for my preference, and I've definitely had better elsewhere. The drink was reasonably priced at $5.75, so it didn't feel overpriced. One thing I appreciated was that there is parking behind the building near the back entrance, which made it easy to get in and out. They also have a few small two-person tables inside. I was able to grab a seat, enjoy my milk tea, and spend some time reading my book while I was there. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't memorable enough for me to come back.
