This is a great little stop for breakfast/brunch. Service is really friendly and patient, and they also have a nice selection of donuts and smoothies. I ordered a salmon salad and a tropical smoothie and was very happy with my choice. Also got a cronut to go!

This is kind of a weird review because I have to review two separate locations in the same space. I've driven by here several times and checked out the bakery online, but the large pizza banners is what brought me in. But while I'm here, you know (if you read my reviews), I'm going to try that maple bar! When you go in, think of it as a food court. The bakery is one store, the pizza place another, even though they share the same feel and kitchen. I ordered my slice of pizza first and was told she had to ring up the Maple Bar at the other register, which is where we also paid for drinks. There was only one person working the counters (it was a slow Monday mid-afternoon), and she was very friendly and nice, and seemed to understand the setup was weird without saying it, so 5 stars for her. The slice of pizza was sent back to the kitchen to be heated up, and I got my maple bar and a Diet Coke from the other register while I waited for the pizza. After I got home and ate the slice of pizza, I went for the maple bar. And like the pizza, it was just OK. It looked nice and thick, but maybe it had been sitting out too long, because the outside was tougher than I liked. The dough had very little flavor, so all I really tasted was the maple. The maple was also a little stiff and not as creamy as I prefer. If I return, it will be to try some of their other food, which looks really good.

This location of Rose Bakery Cafe recently opened a couple of months ago. They're located in a shopping center with tons of parking. They have inside and outside seating. I stopped by recently to get some breakfast to go. The staff member taking my order was very nice and courteous as she entered my order. I believe her name was Brissia. I got an orange juice, a chai tea latte, and a California burrito on the sundried tomato tortilla. I switched the hashbrowns in the burrito for their breakfast potatoes and asked for it to be cut in half, so I can share it. The order was ready in less than ten minutes. The burrito was brought out first and then the drinks followed shortly after. The burrito was a good size and perfect to share. The bacon was thick and crispy. I liked their red salsita. It wasn't spicy but has a nice flavor. The orange juice was fresh and the chai tea latte had the right amount of sweetness. Overall, a good experience and will be stopping by again when I'm in the area.

Grilled Chicken Salad; Sirloin Steak Sandwich

First time coming here and will be returning. Service was attentive and friendly. Menu had enough variety. Burgers, pancakes, salads, wraps, donuts, pizza, etc. ambiance was nice, most of the seating was outdoors. Restrooms are available for patrons. Ordered a grilled chicken salad and sirloin steak sandwich and both were delicious.

    Patty Melt

Had the Patty Melt, Salmon Wrap, and Side Fries. Salmon Wrap was good with sauteed veg and a well cooked and good portion of salmon. The salmon tasted fresh and everything went together well. Bonus points for the good tortilla they used. Would do again. Patty Melt was fine but nothing to write home about. I had mine on sourdough which was toasted well. The onions were grilled, but could have used more quantity and a mix of more done and less done onions to give both the sweet flavor and onion-y bite. Patty was a tad over cooked and seemed like a commercial patty. Probably would not do again. Fries were standard but salted well. I think I'd try other sides first before ordering again. Counter Service was friendly and seating outside was clean and airy when good shade. Overall good enough that we'd go again. $33.41 for the wrap, melt, fry, soda

Nice cafe serving early breakfast and I was looking for a burrito. I ordered a California burrito, which has bacon eggs, potatoes, spinach, cheese, and avocado. They offer a variety of different tortillas and I opted for the spinach tortilla.. Overall very good burrito and it comes with a nice small mild salsa. I also ordered a latte. Nice indoor and outdoor space. They have a pastry case. Additionally, they have a pizza and lunch menu also. Plenty of parking. Please come and create your own adventure.

    Stack of pancakes

We door dashed our food so we didn't see inside or talk to anyone. We got the stack of pancakes, steak and egg bagel, chorizo burrito and meat lovers skillet with scrambled eggs. Pancakes were really good, they were so fluffy, I loved how the butter was added on instead of in a container separately so the butter melted on the way to us. The steak bagel was our favorite we chose the jalapeño bagel as the bread option. We would. I added bell peppers, onions and tomatoes to the Chorizo burrito and chose regular potatoes to go inside but, it was okay not a lot or any flavor from the chorizo. The size of the burrito was medium which was a perfect size for my husband and I to share. The meat lovers skillet was good, it just looks like it has a lot of veggies but the meat was there. We would definitely order the pancakes and steak and egg bagel with jalapeño bread again.

What happened to my Dads choc bar? Looks like someone poked it.

I was so excited to see Roses coming to Santa Ana. I worked in CDM so of course I knew how good everything is at Roses. I just ordered 4 donuts for $14. The girl shoved them all in a bag, I asked if I could please have a box. She kindly gave me a box, which was cool. But when I opened it I noticed my choco bar. I asked for another she said that didn't have any more. Super disappointed.

    Breakfast time.

They cover all bases here. Doughnut shop, breakfast joint and pizza polar all in one. This place is clean. Brand new looking clean! There personal order and kiosk order. Grab your # sit and they deliver table side.

The pepperoni and pepper pizza was a 10/10

I stumbled across this cafe for a late lunch. I grabbed a couple slices of pizza, one Hawaiian and one hot pepper. Surprisingly, the pizza was really good. I say surprisingly because they have donuts, smoothies, burgers, etc. Taste reminded me of Little Caesars back in the1990s in Detroit back when the cheese was real and the pizzas came in a 2 pack in the paper packaging. I'll definitely be coming back again.

Rose Benedict with Orange Juice - A breakfast plate featuring eggs Benedict, roasted potatoes, and a small fruit cup, with orange juice and condiments on a wooden table at Rose Bakery Cafe.

Happy this places opened up in Orange and finally got to try it out this morning. Went in for breakfast and ordered the Rose Benedict with Orange Juice; came out to around $24. Service was good! The girl at the register was friendly and was very helpful. They have free water out in the patio area. Place is dog friendly as they also had a water bowl filled with water which was nice of them. Clean environment and play music outside. Eggs Benedict were simple but surprisingly filling. The potatoes on the other hand were mid. The fruit cup was a nice touch so it balanced out! Orange juice was actually pretty good! Will definitely come back again to try other items but this plate was a 6/10

My boyfriend went with the carnitas burrito, and it was packed with tender, juicy carnitas and generous portions all around. We also grabbed a flaky pastry in the attached bakery (I didn't catch the name), but it was perfectly buttery and light. Service is always friendly and efficient, even when they're busy, and the vibe feels very local and welcoming. The carnitas themselves are the star--tender, juicy pork that's been slow-cooked to perfection with that signature crispy edge on some pieces, delivering rich, savory flavor without being overly greasy. It's seasoned just right, with a nice balance of porky goodness and subtle spices that let the meat shine. Wrapped in a large, fresh flour tortilla (they make their own in-house, which always helps), it's stuffed generously with the classics: fluffy Mexican rice, creamy refried or whole beans (depending on your preference, but both work great), chopped onions, cilantro, and a solid dose of salsa. I went with their green salsa for a bright, tangy kick that cuts through the richness perfectly, plus a dollop of sour cream and cheese for that creamy melt. No skimping on portions here--it's hearty and filling, easily a meal that satisfies for hours. At around $10 (give or take, based on current pricing), it's a great value in the area. The burrito holds together well without falling apart mid-bite, and the overall balance of textures--tender meat, soft rice/beans, crisp onions--makes every mouthful enjoyable. If you're in the mood for classic carnitas done right in a casual, bakery-taqueria spot with great salsas and a friendly vibe, this one's definitely worth grabbing. I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5--only docking half a point because it's not reinventing the wheel, but it's executing the traditional style exceptionally well. Highly recommend if you're near 728 N Tustin St in Orange! Pair it with an horchata, yum

Santa Ana downtown is all metered street parking so be prepared to pay for parking. The stand is located right in front of the market so it isn't too hard to find. It's in the market so there's open seating and can get quite loud if there's a lot of people. Unfortunately, I was greeted very poorly when I got here. No one was available to help and periodically she would yell over to see if I was ready to order in a very bad tone. When I asked about the cheesecake selection, she said "you have to wait 30 min." I then asked what flavor it is and she said "pandan pineapple" in an annoyed tone. I asked if there were any other flavors and she said "no because I still need to decorate. You should really come later at night." I'm used to bakeries selling out later in the day but I guess it's opposite here. As if it couldn't get worse, I asked her if there are any coffees she recommended, and she said "viet coffee." I then said viet coffee is usually too strong for me and asked if there were any other recommendations and she doubled down and used a horrible tone to say "I already said I recommend the viet coffee." Therefore I opted to just not order coffee at this time. I ended up still ordering 2 cookies: miso toffee which was too firm and the ube coconut which actually was well balanced and had a nice coconut filling. I really hope they improve their customer service.
