I was passing through here on a work trip and thought this would be an easy place to pick up a breakfast burrito before my meeting. This establishment is in the corner of a plaza/strip mall and was very clean. The workers did take a little bit of time making a breakfast burrito and when I did get it, I thought the bacon was a bit overcooked and the scrambled eggs in the burrito had what I believe is a piece of shell. On the bright side, at least they use real eggs.

Chorizo burrito (not my pic since I ate mine too fast)

I happened to come across this place by luck! It's near my office and had no idea I love that it has outside seating/patio. It was pretty cleaned: the chairs and tables were clean. Music was paying outside by very low which I liked ! You walk in and order and pay before you grab a table and sit. The staff is young and very courteous, and attentive. I ordered a dirty chai latte and it was hot and delicious I just wished I had ordered the larger size I also got 2 pastries, a chorizo breakfast burrito (it was very cheesy which I loved) and the avocado toast. Plenty of food, it was warm and very tasty.

So glad I went back earlier in the day to try their breakfast. They only have Laventina pizza in the evening but I will go another time to try that. Friendly service and cool patio with lively Latin music. I will be bringing my friends and family for weekend brunch.

This is kind of a weird review because I have to review two separate locations in the same space. I've driven by here several times and checked out the bakery online, but the large pizza banners is what brought me in. But while I'm here, you know (if you read my reviews), I'm going to try that maple bar! When you go in, think of it as a food court. The bakery is one store, the pizza place another, even though they share the same feel and kitchen. I ordered my slice of pizza first and was told she had to ring up the Maple Bar at the other register, which is where we also paid for drinks. There was only one person working the counters (it was a slow Monday mid-afternoon), and she was very friendly and nice, and seemed to understand the setup was weird without saying it, so 5 stars for her. The slice of pizza was sent back to the kitchen to be heated up, and I got my maple bar and a Diet Coke from the other register while I waited for the pizza. After I got home and ate the slice of pizza, I went for the maple bar. And like the pizza, it was just OK. It looked nice and thick, but maybe it had been sitting out too long, because the outside was tougher than I liked. The dough had very little flavor, so all I really tasted was the maple. The maple was also a little stiff and not as creamy as I prefer. If I return, it will be to try some of their other food, which looks really good.

This location of Rose Bakery Cafe recently opened a couple of months ago. They're located in a shopping center with tons of parking. They have inside and outside seating. I stopped by recently to get some breakfast to go. The staff member taking my order was very nice and courteous as she entered my order. I believe her name was Brissia. I got an orange juice, a chai tea latte, and a California burrito on the sundried tomato tortilla. I switched the hashbrowns in the burrito for their breakfast potatoes and asked for it to be cut in half, so I can share it. The order was ready in less than ten minutes. The burrito was brought out first and then the drinks followed shortly after. The burrito was a good size and perfect to share. The bacon was thick and crispy. I liked their red salsita. It wasn't spicy but has a nice flavor. The orange juice was fresh and the chai tea latte had the right amount of sweetness. Overall, a good experience and will be stopping by again when I'm in the area.

This is a great little stop for breakfast/brunch. Service is really friendly and patient, and they also have a nice selection of donuts and smoothies. I ordered a salmon salad and a tropical smoothie and was very happy with my choice. Also got a cronut to go!

Nice cafe serving early breakfast and I was looking for a burrito. I ordered a California burrito, which has bacon eggs, potatoes, spinach, cheese, and avocado. They offer a variety of different tortillas and I opted for the spinach tortilla.. Overall very good burrito and it comes with a nice small mild salsa. I also ordered a latte. Nice indoor and outdoor space. They have a pastry case. Additionally, they have a pizza and lunch menu also. Plenty of parking. Please come and create your own adventure.

I love the donuts and cold brew from Rose's. I used to frequent at the Corona Del Mar location and was so excited that they opened one up in Orange. The cold brew is under $5. They have a little kiosk with honey which I love adding. The location has limited indoor seating with a few two seater tables but it has a very nice outdoor dining area with heaters.

    Patty Melt

Had the Patty Melt, Salmon Wrap, and Side Fries. Salmon Wrap was good with sauteed veg and a well cooked and good portion of salmon. The salmon tasted fresh and everything went together well. Bonus points for the good tortilla they used. Would do again. Patty Melt was fine but nothing to write home about. I had mine on sourdough which was toasted well. The onions were grilled, but could have used more quantity and a mix of more done and less done onions to give both the sweet flavor and onion-y bite. Patty was a tad over cooked and seemed like a commercial patty. Probably would not do again. Fries were standard but salted well. I think I'd try other sides first before ordering again. Counter Service was friendly and seating outside was clean and airy when good shade. Overall good enough that we'd go again. $33.41 for the wrap, melt, fry, soda

Grilled Chicken Salad; Sirloin Steak Sandwich

First time coming here and will be returning. Service was attentive and friendly. Menu had enough variety. Burgers, pancakes, salads, wraps, donuts, pizza, etc. ambiance was nice, most of the seating was outdoors. Restrooms are available for patrons. Ordered a grilled chicken salad and sirloin steak sandwich and both were delicious.

I'll start off by saying I just wish this place had WiFi. With all the available outdoor seating they have, and being a cafe I would have thought they would have it. Not a big deal breaker, but it would definitely bring more attention to the place. Now, for the selections on the menu they have a great variety to choose from between breakfast and lunch-- at a reasonable price. I stopped by and decided to get the "Lucio Omelet" which included a choice of bread, potatoes or hash brown, and the omelet that included bacon, white egg, avocado. I wasn't too happy with my meal, for starters everything just tasted cold, with my choice of bread I would've liked some butter on the side. The omelet was a decent size but no flavor--no salt or pepper. I thought the salsa was going to be at least a nice little kick but I felt like I was tasting store brand generic salsa. Now, I'm only speaking for the breakfast, I'm not sure how their pastries are, but unfortunately I don't think would be coming back here. Service was great though.

    Waiting for our Lox Bagel
    ADOLFO A.

first thing first walking in the place is super clean and very well kept. There was music playing and t wasn't loud. It's just a perfect amount. We were greeted right away as we walked in by the young lady in the cashier. Both my son and I ordered a lox bagel. He got his bagel with the jalapeño cheddar and I myself got the sesame seeds. We also order one coffee, one smoothie. The bagels were full of flavored, and they were perfectly crunchy on the outside unsolved in the middle. The salmon was perfect. It was in too fishy at all, and had enough flavor. If you little capers, that would just the right amount of capers on it to give it that nice tangy flavor. It also came with a small cup of honeydew and cantaloupe and it was so fresh. My son and I enjoyed it so much. We will definitely be back here just for the salmon bagels.

The pepperoni and pepper pizza was a 10/10

I stumbled across this cafe for a late lunch. I grabbed a couple slices of pizza, one Hawaiian and one hot pepper. Surprisingly, the pizza was really good. I say surprisingly because they have donuts, smoothies, burgers, etc. Taste reminded me of Little Caesars back in the1990s in Detroit back when the cheese was real and the pizzas came in a 2 pack in the paper packaging. I'll definitely be coming back again.

Let's start with the positives: -Extensive menu with pretty much everything you could want for breakfast/lunch. -Portions are more on the generous side -They have seating outside for the long waits for a table -Cute little retro diner aesthetic -I really enjoyed my half cocoa/half coffee drink which the hostess recommended when I told her I couldn't decide. Perfect combo on a rainy day :) I got the ultimate grilled cheese which was just okay, was on the dry side, again nothing special same with the coleslaw and fries. My husband got the Flame grilled steak and eggs, he ordered it medium well and it came well. Our server took it back and brought him a new one no problem. The soup was the only thing that was surprisingly good and had some flavor. I saw some reviews say this is a true no frills diner, and that's pretty spot on but the real issue for me is that everything was dry and lacking flavor. I'm not in a hurry to come back and don't find the weekend wait (about 30-40 minutes for two people on Sunday) to be worth it.

Overall, everything lacked flavor, although I will say the red salsa served with the chips was delicious. My friend ordered the avocado toast, but it was basically just a slice of bread with sliced avocado--no seasoning, condiments, or anything to make it stand out. The small garden salad was equally underwhelming, consisting of only romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes with no dressing or even a drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but they were more like open-faced boiled eggs since the yolks were completely hard instead of runny. The café de olla had a nice flavor, but it was much sweeter than expected. I think it would be better if they served it unsweetened (or lightly sweetened) and let customers adjust the sugar to their own taste. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the ambiance is so charming, but the food just didn't live up to the experience.

I ordered a Snooze Classic with egg whites omelette style (well done), a sausage patty, soft hash browns, and an English muffin, along with an extra side of three sausage links. I even called the location beforehand to make sure my eggs and order would be done correctly, but for a simple breakfast, this was a total disaster. The eggs were made wrong anyway, the sausage patty was burnt to a crisp like a hockey puck, the English muffin was hard as a rock, the side of sausage links was overcooked and dry, and the hash browns were burnt and barely there despite explicitly requesting them soft. It honestly seemed like it was someone's first day ever stepping foot in a kitchen. Easily the single worst breakfast I've ever paid for.

Parking can be difficult so you might have to circle a few times. Or just park in the neighborhood and take a short walk back. Our group used Yelp's waitlist and when we arrived we only waited 5 mins for our table. To say this place was packed is an understatement, so the service took a bit longer than Im used to. Youre not going to find anything underwhelming here, because they offer some good old country style breakfast options. Think steak and eggs, country fried steak smothered gravy, omelets and a 3 tier stack of pancakes. Protip: this place is small, so if you have a large group it might be a bit cozy. Also, the womans restroom only has two stalls and one sink, so the line can be a bit of a wait.
