Environment: The shop isn't very big, but it has both a retail area and a café area. There are also quite a few outdoor seats. However, the California sun is really strong, and even though there's outdoor seating, there isn't much shade. Service: Business is good, the drinks taste great, and orders come out pretty quickly. Wait: There's usually a line every time I go, especially on weekends, which shows how popular this place is. Parking: Street parking is available and it's pretty convenient.

It is very organized. When you get there the cat cafe is clean and there are many places to sit and the cats are spread out. The only thing I'd improve on is to give some of the cats the special collars (like they have at other cat cafe's) to let us know if the cats aren't friendly. There were 2 cats in particular that were kind of scary trying to pick fights and scratch both other cats and humans. Also my best tip is to wear disposable socks you are cool with throwing away since you have to take off your shoes and your socks get all cat hair and dirty.

Martin Diedrich is the original founder of Diedrich Coffee, which was sold to Starbucks in 2006, and opening the Tustin location marked a return to the exact site of his very first full-scale Diedrich Coffee coffeehouse. So when you come to Kean, you are coming to a special place that is tied to the history of coffee in The O.C. Needless to say the coffee is roasted in-house and is excellent. I always buy an oatmilk latte here, and the coffee taste is deep and aromatic. Definitely one of the best in Orange County for the pure quality of its coffee. For Orange County, the location has a nice community vibe. Eclectic mix of tables, but there aren't always enough of them, so it always seems packed. Staff are always extremely nice. Appreciating the history, great coffee, and community feel is one thing, but you should know in advance that they do not offer wifi here. That is my only complaint and the only reason this gets a 5 and not a 4 star. I suppose if they want to maintain a certain vibe they don't want people working there, but I would be happy even with a one-hour time limit on wifi usage.

All of these are savory and flavorful yet subtle. I also recommend any of the pastries including curry pan, melon pan, and of course the strawberry croissants but beyond that I also really like the strawberry banana croissant and blueberry croissant. There is also a selection of drinks made in-house café-style as well as bottled Japanese drinks. The staff are friendly and I really like the space even though it's small. You can find seating outside especially if you avoid rush hours. Of all the three locations, this one is my favorite because it's so rustic and historic and really fits in with the overall vibe and aesthetic of Old Town Tustin and the El Camino Real. Please check this bakery out; it's one of the best in all of SoCal in my opinion.

When my mom ordered shrimp tacos, the chef let us know he could only make two, since that was the amount of shrimp he had thawed and prepped for the day. So if you're planning to eat here, I'd recommend calling ahead to check what's being served--especially if you're hoping for something specific. I had a smash burger with grilled red onions, served with chips and a drink--it was delicious. My sister ordered the same, and my mom loved her tacos. We dined in with our dog and my bunnies, who were safe and cozy in their ventilated pet backpack. It was calm, welcoming, and pet-friendly. One of the sweetest moments?
