Visited this spot a few times near work. I love it. It's simple. It's got what you need. The owners and workers are so sweet. I ordered an iced vanilla latte (16oz) and a chicken peso melt (half.) They were kind to bring over my order to me! I honestly liked how the vanilla latte had vanilla bean pieces in it rather than just straight syrup. The chicken pesto was yummy as well. I do wish there was more pesto though! Next visit I got a Ham and Swiss with a side of pasta salad and a fountain drink (Sprite!) and omg I really love the flavor for this Ham and Swiss. It's just so fresh off the grill and the pasta salad was lovely to pair. Idk, there's just something so cozy about this place. Feels like home. Keeps you full. I appreciate gems like this. This has been a spot that is not super easy to get to. I came here when my friend was working nearby so I did not have to worry about the parking. Besides the parking the American style one stop shop cafe was super cute. It had everything from baked goods to sandwiches to your typical latte. The owner was super nice and struck up a super enjoyable conversation! I was not sure what I wanted to eat and ended up deciding on getting a BLT on sourdough bread with fries and a drink. The food was made fresh to order and I had no complaints about the food and the price! The bacon had the right amount of crunch and the tomato and lettuce were super refreshing. The fries were nice and hot so I knew it was fried to order! The seating was super spacious with lots of room! There was a few board games and chess sets that you could use if you wanted to play with a friend. Overall even though I am not sure how the parking situation is, I would come back for the food and the vibes. read more

I can't express how the simplicities in life are the best and best said was here at this cafe! A staple of employees working at the Xerox building. They could rest on the fact that people have few options in the area but you can tell they don't. All the salads are good and fresh, and a sizeable portion for the price. I also believe they make all the dressings fresh, and they automatically put it on the side if you order it to go. My favorite is the Very Berry Poppyseed Chicken Salad with the Chinatown Chop as my second fav. Every once in a while I will treat myself to a breakfast burrito, where you can sub in avocado for the meat. I've tried some of their sandwiches and specials and they always seem a little salty for my taste but I frequently see people in my office getting them. First and foremost: I was in here on 06/06 and this Latin lady, most likely the owners wife, gave me a VERY NASTY ATTITUDE about me cleaning up after myself. I was already in the middle of grabbing my trash with my family, whom I was having lunch with. However, she comes running up, and starts to give an attitude over cleaning up after myself, and to throw my "outside" food trash, in the outside trash cans. Okay, no problem. CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE! I come here very often, buy food from them, and on occasion, eat inside because there is no other place to actually enjoy food, especially if you work in the adjacent building. It should also be noted, that not everyone cleans up after themselves, and no one ever comes running after them to clean after themselves. Her attitude was uncalled for, especially since she had such a powerful display of ugliness in front of my 11 year old daughter, and THEIR 6 year old son who is with them from the time they open, till the time they close. Is that even legal? Now. As far as the food and prices, its decent. Like I said, it's sometimes the only choice when you're in the office, all day long, and too stressed to go anywhere else. read more

I had to work at the Xerox building all day and I figured I better load up on caffeine, so I went to the little cafe between the parking structure and the building. It didn't look like much when I walked in, though it was very clean and spacious, but I ended up walking away very happy. The guy at the cash register was SUPER friendly. It was my first time here, so he obviously didn't know me yet, but he knew all the other people getting their morning kick-start and knew their drinks. The woman who prepared my wheat bagel with cream cheese was also very friendly. I love dealing with friendly people in the morning when I'm usually crabby because it makes me less crabby, so this coffee trip made me smile :) The guy who took my order also made my caramel macchiato, and while he was drizzling it with caramel he said, "Candice (Totally remembered my name from my debit card that I paid with - nice!) do you like caramel?" And I of course said yes so he drizzled extra caramel on top for me. I wish every building I worked at had nice cafes like this so I could stop searching for local Starbucks. I work close by and come to this place often for coffee and breakfast. This place is simply amazing, from the food to the people working here. They are always happy to see you and even remember what you like to order. Definitely recommend checking this place out. Tip: it's hard to find if you are not familiar with the area. If I buy anything from the Metro Bean it's a cold food item, snack or a drink. Customer service is good from Elsa, Roberta and David. I get my breakfast bagel here every morning and sometimes coffee or lunch, it's right next to the Xerox building. Their breakfast burrito is really good, but I'd rather eat something that doesn't pack so many calories. I ordered a breakfast burrito with egg, cheese, potatoes, bacon, avocado, and salsa (Best burrito I've ever had) and an ice blended coffee.
