Bomb big portion food, with great customer service. Came here looking for a chicken plate and boy did they deliver. They are not skimpy with their meat, and to top it off it taste great. Next time I'm in the area and looking for a bowl, I'll be coming here

    Excellent value.

Excellent value and great service here at Tikiyaki!! Got myself a chicken and beef plate with only veggies. Comes with an egg roll. 12.99. So much good I think I can get 3 meals out of this. Food quality is great. I wish it had some char flavor like some other places but overall still an excellent product. And excellent value. Next time I do want to try the orange chicken !

A lot of the reviews boast about the generous portions and good value. I absolutely agree. I also value that they provide the options of having brown rice without upcharging at additional fees. Eating our meal there, you can tell it was very popular with the large amount of pick-up and to-go orders. It's a mom and pop type of establishment where the people working there seem to have a relationship with the regulars and value the ideals of good customer service. Inside it's clean and well organized.

Piece of metal found in my teriyaki chicken bowl from Tikiyaki
    Tyler D.

It kills me to have to write this review. I have been going to Tikiyaki for YEARS. Food has always been amazing and the staff are great. They know so many of their customers by name and are always so friendly. Their teriyaki is the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, I ate there this past Friday (12/5/2025) at around 2pm. I ordered a standard teriyaki chicken bowl to go and ate in my truck. I ate probably half the bowl before I noticed a small, sharp piece of metal in my food. It was slightly twisted and thick. I could not straighten it with my hands and it took pliers to straighten (did this to see how strong it was and what type/where it could have came from) it was so sharp that when I picked it out of my food, it cut my hand and I was bleeding. Because of the size of it, I could have easily swallowed it without ever knowing. This is a serious health issue. Due to the fact that I ate half the meal, there was fear that I could have swallowed another piece of the metal that could have been there and I ended up in the emergency room. Because of the size of the metal fragment found, the doctor said a CT scan or X-ray would most likely not find anything that may be inside me. I was told that the next few days were critical and all I could really do was monitor for symptoms. The physician said that if I did end up with symptoms, that it's very dangerous and I would likely end up needing emergency exploratory surgery to find the metal causing damage. He also informed me that this injury as well as the surgery to fix it could cause other long term issues like lack of gastric motility. Because of this, I have no other choice but to write this review, and contact the health department. For anyone eating there, please be safe and keep an eye out for anything that may be in your food. I sincerely hope that this (or worse) does not happen to anyone else.

First time here, the building is small. Indoor and outdoor seating, you order upfront and they take you your food. The service was quick and easy, the food was delicious. I love rice bowls and I would definitely come back to try the Tofu.

A nice hidden gem in a strip mall off Tustin across from the Mall. Delicious, fresh food at a reasonable price. Friendly service to answer and questions. A few tables available inside and a few outside. Worth the trip for a quick meal.

I saw this place trying Patagonia and decided to try this out. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki plate which came with cabbage salad and egg roll. The portions size was plenty for what I paid for. The chicken was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The cabbage salad was a good change up and the egg roll was crunchy and the filling was good. There are a few tables and chairs inside and outside seating is available but when this place is busy I'm pretty sure the inside seating can fill up quick.I would definitely come back and try something else.

I love Hawaiian food and have my favorite spots for legit grindz on four of the islands (5 if you count Las Vegas!), not to mention all the places sprinkled throughout the mainland. I'm not a snob but I appreciate fresh ingredients made with aloha. Unfortunately, da kine here had neither. The place is easy enough to find, just off Tustin in a plaza, right next to a Subway. The inside was dim and quiet. There was only one other couple in there, who walked in just before us. My +1 ordered the loco moco. She got overcooked patties, runny eggs and prepackaged gravy in a separate container. I ordered the combo with short rib, barbecue beef and chicken. It tasted like it was cooked in old grease and was bland despite the teriyaki sauce. My keiki (mini +1) got the teriyaki chicken with macaroni salad and didn't want to eat it. It didn't sit right with any of us. As some other reviewers mentioned, I don't think it was made fresh. I came hoping for 'ono but all I found was "oh no." The plates were full, but what's the point of choke portions if you just gonna choke on it? No thanks. Edit: I originally left two stars, but after the whole ohana (family) had upset stomachs all night, had to drop it.

She took the time to really engage with us, making sure we felt taken care of without ever seeming rushed or distracted. What impressed us most is how attentive she is--she listened carefully and offered thoughtful recommendations based on what we might enjoy. Beyond her professionalism, Casie has a wonderful personality that shines through in every interaction. One woman in particular (presumably a manager or long-time employee) was shockingly, aggressively rude in a way that's hard to overstate. She barked orders and accusations at customers with zero patience, yelling over trivial things that no reasonable person could possibly know or control. Her tone was dripping with contempt, her attitude unapologetically hostile, and her behavior screamed ignorance wrapped in unearned entitlement. Zero warmth, zero professionalism--just pure, unfiltered disdain for the very people paying her bills. No one should have to endure being treated like an inconvenience or an idiot just to eat decent barbecue. The food might be worth a try if you're willing to stomach verbal abuse, but for most of us, it's not. Her complete lack of basic decency and customer service skills makes this place actively unpleasant. I won't be back, and I can't in good conscience recommend it to anyone who values being treated like a human being. One star only because the ribs themselves don't deserve zero--but she absolutely does.
