Nice concept, good food! Been wanting to try this place for a while since it's so close to my house. Small space inside with a few seats and tables. Employees were friendly and helpful, food was cooked fresh. I wanted to try a few different items to see what I might like for next time so I got a bowl with a lettuce base, beef & chicken, a fried egg, and a bunch of toppings. There are a ton of toppings to choose from, I got about 9 of them but next time I'll probably only add a few. You order at the front like Chipotle, they load the bowl then give it to the kitchen to freshly prepare the meat for you. The beef was super tender, chicken was juicy, it all mixed together nicely for a tasty lunch bowl. I tried three sauces, the garlic mayo which was very good, the spicy mayo which tasted just like the kind you get at a sushi spot, and the Dalcom which was sweet, tangy, and a little spicy. Really enjoyed Craft Bowl! It made for an easy and chill lil lunch spot for me and my friend. We built our own unique mini bowls and dined in. The meat and fried egg ($3 extra but you GOTTA get it, so well cooked) were all cooked fresh and the rice and toppings were all readily available to choose from up front; the wait time for our finished bowls was less than five minutes, and the garlic mayo made for the perfect topper! We especially loved the cilantro kimchi. Also appreciated the patience of their employee to explain what's what and make recommendations! Pretty good portion sizes too, as the "mini" was filling. There aren't many choices for beverages which was a bummer, but the green tea out of the fridge was good. It'd be cool to see them expand upon some elements such as the drinks and maybe more topping/side options, but it's clearly a small business that knows its strengths and keeps things minimalist. They changed the menu and it is not as good as it used to be. We came here last year and it was amazing. However, they took the spicy pork bulgogi off the menu. The spicy pork bulgogi was definitely the highlight so it was super disappointing to find out they got rid of it. The pork belly was ok, nothing too special. The sauces were decent. Food was edible, but not as flavorful. I even got 6 or 7 toppings. But overall, not as gas as before. They didn't have every topping available. Out of pocket, if you ask me. Service was ok. Came in around 7:45pm and only had one party in front of us. The employee in front took a while and seemed like they were moving in slow motion. This place makes outstanding bowls with awesome flavor combos. I have had it twice and both times made me wonder why I havent eaten it earlier or more often. The best place to get rice + protein bowls!!! The flavor is EXQUISITE. I would gatekeep this place but they deserve to be known. It is located in a quiet plaza with a car wash. There's some seating inside but I think it's primarily a to-go place. I have been here two times and always got the beef bowl. It's a small mom and pop shop and it functions similarly to a Chipotle where you get to choose your ingredients. Do yourself a favor and get the beef with both the garlic and spicy mayo. The last time I went was a Thursday evening, my friends and I came around half an hour to closing (we apologize). There was nobody else in the store. Some of us got beef while others got pork. Everyone loved it! The employee was also nice enough to let us stay in to sit past closing and even gave us some pear juice which was delicious and refreshing. Yum...great concept & great foods. I got 1/2 white tie & 1/2 lecture and he lets me have 1/2 beef & 1:2 pork plus the any toppings (I added 6 of them) and with 2 sauces on top. This place has parking but not a lot, but manageable and inside is small but spacious and mostly for to go. They do have 3-4 tables/chairs inside if you decided to dine in. There is one friendly and nice guy working there and he had several orders for pick up. I waited for awhile but he did apologized for the delayed. The foods are very tasty & well marinated, it does take awhile to heat it up through the wheel-go-around over the fire but it worth the wait. As for prices, not bad. The food was great the portion was large and the choices were plenty. The sauces are great to it wasn't bad at all. The service was quick and she was nice even though it took a bit for the beef as they ran out I didn't mind the wait. The inside was clean and there is seating areas to eat. It appeared to be just him working there but he seemed very attentive to everyone regardless. Would recommend. It's flame broiler style bowls but with Korean flavors, better quality ingredients/meat and portions. No issues overall, and the rice was cooked perfectly as well. This is a pretty good spot if you're looking for a quick lunch. It's located in a strip mall and we were able to find parking pretty easily on a Saturday afternoon. I got the mini bowl while my girlfriend got the regular. Both seemed to be enough food to get you satisfied/full so the mini is likely a better value unless you want more toppings. Parking is a hit or miss, depending on the time you get here. But on this particular trip, it was around 7:30pm and parking was super easy. I've tried most of the options, and would recommend a mix of Brown rice + Japchae (glass noodles), with Bulgogi, and nearly all the toppings. The portions is quite generous, and could easily be a meal for two. My kids love the food, and they could be quite picky eaters. Spicy Mayo, their most popular sauce isn't too spicy, and that's my usual go to. Can have a mini bowl or a regular bowl, so you can try ordering a smaller option if you don't want too much leftovers. Service has always been friendly and quick. The co-owners that are here some times are passionate for there business. I've mentioned to them that I wish there was a branch in Brea, where I am located. Really good Korean food at the style of a Chipotle where you pick your base, protein and toppings for one price. Bulgogi and spicy pork are good selections and the bowls are hearty and full. I ordered this on door dash and I was actually surprised at the portion size and the combination of ingredients was actually good but I ended up getting the worst food poisoning that lasted for three days after I ate here. I ordered a bulgogi bowl. I felt perfectly fine until about 45 minutes after eating the bowl. I don't know if it is a food handling issue or something spoiled but I was very disappointed. There was 1 person working, and there was 5 groups of customers (including myself). He worked fast and efficiently and got through the line fairly quickly. Great bowl. Build your own by adding whatever toppings you want after adding your protein. It's like a chipotle with Korean proteins/asian inspired toppings. Inside theres not too much space for sitting. my partner and i came in around 4:40 on a saturday for linner and was pleasantly surprised to see that their happy hour occurs on the weekends! their happy hour is an amazing deal, we saved $7ish on our bowls. the people working needed some time to prepare food since they were wiped out from the earlier hours of happy hour, and they were super appreciative for the patience of everyone in line. the staff were so upbeat and friendly that i was happy to let them take their time! last time i came, i avoided the kimchi because i didn't know if all 4 kimchi options were made with fish. this time, however, the worker pointed out which kimchi were made with fish (the cabbage kimchi and fried kimchi) and which weren't (the raddish kimchi and cilantro kimchi) and i really appreciated that he knew and that there were vegetarian kimchi options. i've never had cilantro kimchi but the strong flavors of cilantro were muted and i really enjoyed it. also guac is such a yummy vegetarian option for "protein" (even if it doesn't rlly have protein), they're generous and give you 2 scoops there's so many options for your bowl base, toppings and sauces that you can't go wrong with this place. the store is pretty small but there's indoor seating and good music. fried foods take 5-10 minutes to make because they're made fresh, and the fried seaweed rolls that we got were piping hot and served with gochujang. the new menu options (japchae, fried seaweed rolls and fried dumplings) were fun to find too!! please please visit this place, it's absolutely amazing read more
