I don't often go in for tenders, fingers, or other boneless options when it comes to chicken. But with the advent of places like Raising Cane's and Dave's Hot Chicken, I've come around to the idea that some food joints know what they're doing to keep boneless chicken moist and tender, and not dry and mealy like most boneless tenders seem to be. I still prefer a good thigh piece or two when it comes to fried chicken. But I don't turn away when folks say a place is known for their chicken tendies either. Okaay Chicken has some great tenders that are very moist and very melt in your mouth side. I wasn't able to try it sauced due to a miscommunication, but their honey mustard dipping sauce was very good and seemingly homemade. This is a tender that's worthy of a return visit to try the sauced version. The service was the weak point here as the initial encounter was rife with very lackluster service. That's why I failed to know sauce on the chicken was free and sauce on the side was the only thing that cost extra. Indeed, some of my initial questions were met with the employee blankly pointing to the menu board behind her instead of actual words. This was redeemed by a nice follow-up conversation when I had further questions, but that initial encounter was quite jarring. The ambiance was very relaxing and there was tons of space in the dining room. This would be a nice place to eat a relaxing meal any day of the week. All in all, I owe this place another visit just so I can taste how much the sauces change the value of the menu. After that, I may be coming back here more often.
I got the Honey Chicken 5pc meal and it was really good! The breading on the chicken was crispy and the chicken was moiste and tender. The honey glaze on top made it slightly sweet and worked well with the chicken. The fries were hot and crispy and not overly salted. Everyone was really nice there. They greeted me when I entered and said bye on the way out. I would definitely be coming back again. The meal with the drink was $14.00.
The restaurant is very clean and spacious. There are many seats. They have 2 kiosks you can order from or you can also order from the cashier. I had placed an online order. The cashier was very friendly, and asked if I needed assistance as soon as she finished helping another person. I received my order very promptly. The packaging on the to go order was very nice and has the store branding. They also included coupons for next time. The chicken sandwich was hot and crispy. It was juicy and not dry and it was a decent size. I could not taste the pickle at all. I also added sauce, but did not notice the difference in flavor. Having the sauce is messy because it falls off when eating so I would opt for it plain next time. I wish the sandwich also included coleslaw, but it did not.
We want to try a new chicken place and this place pop up. It is located in a small plaza with multiple food options, so parking can be a little tight. For this place, you order through a kiosk so limited interaction with cashier. We try the trio and the lunch special. The BL chicken is huge so price is reasonable. It is crispy and juicy. I really like their sweet and sour flavor. The waffle fries was hot and crunchy. The honey glaze was alright, need a little more salt. Overall, I would definitely comeback. Will try their wing and sandwich next.
Served raw, bloody chicken wings. My experience here was ruined after I returned home to eat my bone in chicken wings only to find that there was blood at the bones of their larger sized drums. Compared to my favorite chicken wings spot (Fire Wings), the wings here are very huge. Although they are still tender, they are way too large for my liking. The flavors that I tried are Nashville hot and K spicy. I wanted to order online but you cannot choose more than one flavor on the 12 wing box, so I came in store and placed my order and there I was able to have two flavors for my 12 piece bone in wing. The restaurant was nice and clean during the opening hour. The sever was welcoming. The chicken wings were crunchy, half sauced and UNDER COOKED!! I bit into a drum wing and there was bloody juices flowing inside near the bone. I called the restaurant to alert them of the issue and after calling three time and being sent to voicemail, I received a call back. I explained that the chicken needs to Be checked before handing it out because somebody will get sick. The guy who answered asked if I can return to the restaurant but I decided to just throw them into the air fryer so they can cook longer. Unfortunately since they were sauced , the sauce burnt onto the chicken and the wings are now not appealing. What a waste of gas, money (including tip), and time. Over $20 for 12 large bloody wings. Never again! I can see why this place isn't busy as all of the other food places next to it. Even the donut shop has customers non stop while I seen only one other person enter in 30 minutes.
The chicken was really good. Fresh, tender, and juicy. I wasn't a fan of the sauce. I got some Asian honey sauce to try and it just didn't pair well to me. The ranch also had an off putting taste. The bbq sauce was delicious though. The fries were very hard. We end up throwing them out. The only think that was right was the chicken. If you're eating here I would say pass on the meal and just get chicken.
I saw this place on Instagram and came here when the restaurant wan't busy at around 6pm. I wasn't too impressed with the waffle fries because they were just warm - gettng fries that aren't hot is disappointing. The Thursday sandwich special is a good deal, but it is made with two chicken strips and was messy to eat when drenched with sweet and sour sauce. Overall, it wasn't bad and just okaaaaaaaaaaay.

This was my second time eating here, and I like it! The chicken is hot, juicy, and crispy. The waffle fries are also crispy! But my favorite thing here is that sweet and spicy glaze sauce. I'd buy a bottle of that and dip everything in it if I could! Ordering is done on a kiosk, so staff interaction is limited basically to receiving your order. Food is prepared fresh, or seems to be, but it doesn't take long to receive the order. Inside is clean, bright, and usually pretty empty. There is plenty of seating available. Parking isn't too bad; it's a shared lot with several businesses and can get full wuickly but I haven't had trouble finding a space available. I did notice on the ordering kiosk that I can order a combo and it has the option for "no drink" but the price does not change. I'd like the food, fries/side and sauce but I'm not interested in their drink options so I would opt out if I could. It costs more to order a la carte, so I just end up not drinking the soda so I can save a couple bucks. Meals come with 1 sauce but extra sauce costs extra. The sweet n spicy glaze is the only one I have tried and it would be hard for me to not get it every time! If they had some specialty drink options and not just a Coca Cola machine, I would be far more likely to want a drink here. Maybe some fresh lemonade or a "refresher" type of drink would be nice, but include it as a fountain drink option.
Stopped by for lunch today as it had recently opened and wanted to give it a shot. This place is solid. It's located next to the Deli and J Sushi, with plenty of parking. The interior is brand new and super clean, with plenty of seating. Service was friendly and made our meal quickly, so everything was super fresh. Tried the fire wings which were super juicy and crispy, the batter is exactly what you want for Korean Fried Chicken (and most fried chicken IMO). The fire sauce isn't sweet, but kind of tangy, and not too spicy. The chicken sandwich was great, the breading and seasoning were well done. It's a tender vs. a patty, but it all held together well. I think it's a top 3 fast food non-spicy chicken sandwich for sure. Overall a very solid meal and I'd definitely come by again when I'm in the mood for a chicken sandwich or Korean Fried Chicken. Definitely worth a visit!
It was just okay, no pun intended. I came in during the week after their lunch rush and the place was pretty empty but lots of order pickups. The manager seemed quite unpleasant if I'm being honest. While I was waiting for the food he was sort of berating the staff at the front in view of anyone walking in. Kind of off-putting to see, poor girl seemed stressed too. You can order at the kiosks or with the front staff but at the time I wanted to order there was only one staff and she was busy with who seemed like the manager so I went to the kiosk instead. I had lots of questions since the ordering is kind of weird so I should have just ordered with the cashier. I spent $37 for two people which after having tried the food I would say it was overpriced. I got the sweet and spicy sandwich and the okay fire. Like I said the food was very mid. I have had some spectacular Korean fried chicken and this place just wasn't it. The coleslaw tasted like the prepackaged kind you get from the grocery store. The chicken tenders were cooked well and the fries too. I did also order the cheeseballs and those were delicious!!! Very chewy mochi texture it was different but tasted good. I would probably only ever comeback for those if I'm in the area. TLDR: go to Holdaak in Orange instead, much better flavor and pricing
Ordered on DoorDash today - got a Small Boneless meal (5 pieces), but they surprised me with 8, so major thanks for that! The boneless fried chicken and crispy wings were good sizes and crispier than I expected. I did pay extra for the sweet chili sauce, but it ended up being a bit too bold for my taste. The corn slaw was just okay as well. One fun surprise: they actually give you ketchup for the fried chicken. I swear I'm the only person I know who eats fried chicken with ketchup, so finding a place that gets me? Pretty much a match made in heaven!
Definitely a good value here. At this time they have a daily $9.99 special. Hard to find a complete meal for ten bucks these days. It was very busy when we went today and they seemed to be struggling to keep up. You can order at the counter or from a kiosk but if your kiosk order includes a drink you'll end up waiting for them to hand you the cup. They are kind of underselling the chicken as the pieces are quite large and don't look that big in the photos. I upsized my order and ended up taking the extra pieces home. My only complaint is they are over saucing the sandwiches. Our buns were soaked when we got them and one fell apart. Otherwise the food is very good especially for the price.
This place offers fast casual Korean fried chicken at decent prices. What is really slept on tho is their grilled chicken rice bowls. These rice bowls are very macro friendly for those on more focused diets and all the ingredients are cooked to perfection. Probably the most tastiest 'healthy' option in this area. I really like the waffle fries here. Sauce wise I think I like the more traditional sauces such as bbq and honey mustard but please try the sauces here for yourself as they are definitely unique. So its a good place if you want to eat unhealthy or healthy. Everyone wins. read more

Came here for the first time the other day for lunch. I forget which exact chicken sandwich I ordered...it may have been the Okaay Fire? They put some type of dark red sauce on the chicken that was pretty mild on my spice scale, so it could been some other type of spicy glaze. Anywho, I ordered the sandwich as a meal which came with fries and a fountain drink. The chicken was flavorful, juicy, and crispy. The bread was good as well as the coleslaw and pickles to help balance out the fattiness of the chicken. The waffle fries were surprisingly really good - perfectly salted and crispy on the outside while soft and pillowy on the inside. So much better than the waffle fries from Chick-Fil-A if you ask me. The prices weren't too bad either and the place was clean and orderly for dining in. The only reason holding me back from giving it 5 stars was the young girl who took my order. She seemed very listless and unhappy - I asked her some questions about the menu and she gave me short answers which were not that helpful. A classic case of the "Gen Z stare" lol. Nevertheless, I highly recommend the fried chicken here and I definitely see myself coming back here to try some other items on the menu as well as those waffle fries again. read more

YUMMM! The crispy texture on the outside and the juicy chicken on the inside, perfection. My lack of ability to endure spice kept me basic for the sauce, but it did not disappoint. The Asian honey glaze had good flavor. Possibly would have been a good dip for my fries. Which was also crispy and delicious. Would have liked a little seasoning on them, but made for a crispy vessel for all the yummy dips. Can't decide which was my favorite honey mustard or bbq. My only critique, more sauce on my chicken please or a little side for dipping my sandwich. The added bonus though, coupons for our next visit. read more

OKKAAAAYYYYYY. came here for a late lunch/early dinner & wow, it was delicious. We got a chicken sandwich in the Sweet N Spicy Glaze, FIREEEEEE. We got wings in the Sweet N Sour sauce, not gonna lie, it was kinda spicy for me, while I didn't think the Sweet N Spicy was spicy at all. We also tried the cheese fries, the cheese balls, regular waffle fries, the COLESLAW IS SOOOO GOOD. The tenders were thick and juicy, the DIPPING SAUCES? omg so good. that honey mustard was bomb. like i said, everything was so good. Pricing I felt was reasonable. Service was great, everyone was really nice & attentive. The store was a little dirty, not gonna lie. There was trash on the floor, in the booths, just needs a little more attentive care but i'm definitely coming back. read more
The chicken wings were crunchy as heck and equally juicy, and that makes up half of what makes a perfect wing. I believe my friend ordered the original and shared it with me. I wish I'd have ordered that! I had the Okaay Spicy Chicken Sandwich meal and it had zero spice to me. I was expecting a full chicken in the middle but it was more like two tenders you have to hold together. It was okay. The Waffle fries were also okay. Nothing I haven't had before. The restaurant itself is clean and very spacious. I came in on a Saturday morning and it was completely empty. I had minimal contact with the staff but they were friendly. While I didn't leave completely blown away, I'm willing to give this restaurant another go for their wings instead of sandwiches. read more
Something fresh has popped up in Orange! I saw this restaurant while at an appointment in the medical building across the street a few weeks ago. I was surprised when I couldn't find it in yelp! They serve fried chicken as tenders, meals, sandwiches with a variety of glazes. I tried the Asian Honey Sauce which was sweet with a mild kick to it. The pieces are a lot larger than what you would find in a nugget order at a fast food restaurant but not as big as the larger tenders you would get at a Chik-Fil-Et. The breading is on the doughy side more like a donut than the crispy crunch of typical breaded fried chicken establishments. The chicken is moist and fully cooked. I also tried their coleslaw. It is crunchy and delicious. They also have cheese bread and waffle fries if you prefer. When you walk in, you can place your order at a couple of Clover Terminals or you can get in line and a human will take your order or answer questions. The service was quick - probably due to the fact that they have a very streamlined menu. They have and Orange colored theme throughout their store and branding materials. The seating is quite big accomodating up to 64 guests. I had no problem finding parking on a Monday at 11:30am. read more

Tried the original ultimate crispy sandwich meal -- the sandwich was just okay, nothing too special. But the cheese fries and chicken tenders were actually pretty good and juicy! We also got the 10-piece sweet and sour wings, which ended up being the best thing we ordered -- super flavorful. Tried all of their dipping sauces too; the BBQ was my favorite. Tried this place out during their soft opening and got a boneless chicken cheesy sprinkle. I went around 12:40 p.m and it was pretty busy!Despite being so busy, they were able to get my order out freshly made in 10 minutes. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they're all working really hard! The "cheesy" fries have cheesy powder seasoning and are really good! The chicken is juicy on the inside and crispy and well flavored on the outside without being too overpowering. The cheesy sprinkle is cheesy,garlicky, and slightly sweet! The size of the chicken pieces is also pretty large! They are also pretty reasonably priced! The kiosks are easy to use and the space is large with ample seating. First time coming here as it recently opened and it is located in the same plaza as Costless. Korean fried chicken delicious. Their chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside -- especially good if you like bold, crunchy fried chicken. Inside the restaurant feels clean, casual, and welcoming, with friendly service and generous portions. A few parking spots in the front so had to drive around until O found a spot. This place has the best fried chicken sandwich and tenders I got the crispy chicken sandwich chicken tenders and fries everything was great they use really good quality chicken very fresh with good flavor. The inside is really nice lots of seating it's really clean the employee who took my order was really nice and helpful this was my first time coming here I can't wait to come back and try more of the items they have here if you want some good fried chicken or tenders I would come here . read more
Fun new chicken place that opened up! It's more like a takeout style where you can just order at a kiosk and wait for your food. We had ordered a sando which was a tender sando, 4pc tenders and honey asian glaze wings. This was a solid place for korean fried chicken. The tenders was my favorite, they use chicken breast for the tenders and it was super juicy. The breading is okay not like your typical korean fried chicken spots. Their waffle fries and coleslaw was really good too. This spot is great for lunch the food came out in 10-15 mins read more
This place is a hidden gem within Santa Ana. The chicken is so fresh and hot. Perfectly fried. It's Korean fried chicken, their menu is so extensive and the prices are fair. Their sauces are so delicious and I especially love the sweet and spicy sauce. Once you come, you'll come again and again. Service is on point and it's always spotless. Food was decent and good except my "sweet and spicy" was not spicy at all... not even one bit. The booths are actually terrible because who decided they were a good idea for children to sit at lol. There were only 2 horrible parts of this visit... 1. being the girl taking orders was chewing gum like a COWWWWWWWW. Who even allows their employees to chew gum first of all, and if you're allowed please learn to chew... super unprofessional and 2. there was a hair in my ranch, not a good thing... Freaking amazing, hands down the juiciest and most satisfying chicken sandwich I've ever had. This place needs to blow up because it's honestly so good. I went on a Saturday evening and it was super clean and the service was quick and friendly. We got a family meal and it was such a great deal. We had originally been planning to get a family pack of burgers next door but I'm so glad we ended up at okaay chicken. I can't wait to be back! read more

I took my niece and nephews, and we were digging in. From the crispy original sandwich to the sweet & sour upgrade, every bite hit the spot. Good fried chicken sandwich abit to much sauce, made the buns bit floppy and got sauce all over the place. But the sauce was good was very flavorful. Fried and tender were spot on. Service was nice and helpful. I everything was nice and clean. Would definitely try again. read more
Not my favorite chicken spot, but definitely more than okaay for those who like Korean style chicken. I wanted to try their different sauces so I ordered their chicken pack which has 5 tenders, 10 wings and 7 BLC pieces. I chose the okaay fire sauce for the wings and the sweet and spicy sauce for the BLC pieces. I like that the chicken was crispy but also tender. Personally, I didn't love the sauces. I felt like they were a little too sweet and that the flavor was too strong. On the other hand, the tenders did not have much flavor. The restaurant is super clean and has many seating areas. I love how you have the option to order from the touchscreen or with the cashier. The price for the chicken pack wasn't bad for all the food you get. read more
