Seoul Chicken Sandwich. It was okay, it noticeably needed more sauce.
    Melinda L.

Overall: 3 Food: 3.5 Service: 3 Value: 2 The Seoul Chicken Sandwich is usually my favorite at other Holdaak locations, but it fell a little short here. There wasn't much love in the food. Portions were a little small for the sandwich. It was more of a snack. $11 (includes tax) for a small chicken sandwich was also pretty wild. The Seoul Chicken Sandwich usually comes pretty drenched in sauce, but this one was missing a good amount of sauce. The crisp of the chicken was totally fine...Just needed to pour on some more sauce. Front cashier girl was friendly and there's one chef or kitchen person making your order. I came in on a not so busy hour, so there was only one other patron dining in. I did notice both staff eventually were visibly on their phones. I was heading out, didn't particularly matter to me, but might for a customer walking in. The corridor to the bathroom was pretty neat though. Bathroom was also pretty clean.

SEOUL SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH (yangyeom sauce)

Well, to my surprise, this was pretty good! Located in a strip mall, the Holdaak sign can be spotted while driving by. We ordered the holdaak spicy chicken sandwich combo, which came with a side of fries and slaw, and the Seoul spicy chicken sandwich, which is supposed to be a yangyeom flavor (Korean sweet and spicy). Both chicken pieces were sizable and were not dry. The individual smothering of sauces also add some flavor and moisture. Fair warning that it's messy as the chicken, slaw, and sauce drip. Between the Holdaak spicy and the Seoul spicy, we preferred the Holdaak spicy.

Holdaak!! On a hunt for a great chicken sandwich. Been craving a good one after howling rays. This place is not the best but it's pretty good. Not too dry. Good flavor. Sauces are great. But they charge extra fyi. Loved their honey mustard. Good buns. Sandwich didn't get soggy. I like their daikon slaw. Best part of this place they got killer deals. 15 for both is not bad at all.

(NEW!!) Spicy Chicken Bowl w/ Side of Choice (Corn) tastes yummy!!

This place is right next door to a taekwondo place I attend. Yesterday and today me and my friend went to buy lunch, and these two separate days' experiences were so different. From yesterday, we came in and ordered chicken bowls (I got the spicy, my friend got the regular) with a side of corn. The portion is pretty good for its price, and the taste is way beyond my expectations. They have such creamy sauce used for the seasoning and the chicken, and the corn tastes so delicious when you add it on! The lady that served us was pretty nice and chill, and we saw some DoorDash workers that stopped by here, and our food was placed in a DoorDash bag to go. Me and my friend stopped by at bobateaque (a boba place next door) and were surprised on how well this was cooked. I definitely recommend getting it. It includes rice, tons of chicken, and a side of your choice (coleslaw, daikon slaw, or corn). The next day, a couple of my friends came by again to buy some food. The same friend ordered the same thing, and the guy seemed so lazy and didn't really have much appreciation and all. He seemed like he wanted to just go home already and I felt disappointed. He also asked my friend to pay twice because the internet was working very slow. He didn't really care much about his job... I don't know how he got hired. Maybe he was just having a bad day or something, but it just kind of ruined our experience. I ordered the same thing but with Cajun fries, and I didn't expect the portion for it to be quite big for the price it is. Another one of my friends ordered the Cajun fries. They also forgot to add our sauces on the side which really disappointed me and we wanted to go back when we were on our break, but it would just be a waste if we went back to just get sauce. The fries were nice and fresh. I just wish I could've been given my sauce because I was charged extra for it :/ it should already be included. (I'm not sure if it actually was). Overall, the food is wonderful, the vibe of this place is actually pretty chill, there's a lot of noisy cooking and not a lot of people eating in, but it's a good place to go to if you like Korean fast food.

Good! My sister and I are always in the area yet have never had a chance to try this place out until now. We're really glad with the menu options and found the prices to be pretty reasonable. Everything looked really good and they offer a lot of different flavors and seasonings which other places don't. - * #4 Combo (5 Strips): 8/10 - 'spicy' flavor wasn't spicy at all but fries were good - * Popcorn Chicken: 8/10 - good batter but no seasoning so quite bland They're located in the Tustin Square plaza which can get crowded at peak times so parking might be different. The interior is nice and they have plenty of tables to sit at. Be sure to stop by if you guys are ever in the area!

Randomly stumbled upon this fried chicken joint since it was conveniently next to Bobateaque while we were checking out an event there. We decided to get Holdaak after seeing other customers get it while we were at Bobateaque. The food looked amazing so we had to try. I got the Holdaak Spicy Chicken Sandwich combo which comes with crinkle cut fries and a soft drink. Since it was my first time, I knew I had to try the dish with their name in it. The combo came out to about $12-$13 which is honestly a deal for quality food. They're also known for their comeback sauce which I'm glad the meal comes with. The food was piping hot when we got it. The fries were obviously fresh out of the fryer because they were perfectly crisp and you can see the steam coming out. The comeback sauce was sweet and tangy and it was perfect in combatting the spices on the fries. The Holdaak spicy chicken was the right amount of heat! I probably could've handled more spice but it was really good. I loved the Korean twist on this American dish with the daikon slaw in the sandwich. It was perfect amount of acidity that was needed to combat the spice. The bun was also so round and soft looking. It was literally perfect. I was floored by the food here and would definitely come again if I'm in the area. Super solid food!

First timer here and we wanted a quick meal that was pretty close by. We saw this place when we had dinner nearby and wanted to check it out. We ordered their combo deals online before heading over. They were extremely quick we came within 15 mins and our order was already waiting for us. When we took the first bite both my husband and I were amazed by how delicious the batter was on the chicken. It was super crispy yet not too dry. The fries were also amazing, alot of crinkle fries are always a miss but theyre so good here! Not pictures but i got the hot elote salad and that was surprisingly good. It was tangy and spicy from the takis on it. We would definitely come back to try the other items on their menu like their tenders!

When you order fries it comes in a brown bag. Even if you get it to dine in. Terrible.

I usually done write bad reviews but what was this terrible experience. Yeah the food was alright except for the fries. They gave us plain fries and I asked if the fries were meant to be plain when we ordered Cajun fries. Turns out, you have to shake the Cajun powder into the fries yourself. They didn't even mention it to me when I got the food. The popcorn chicken and fries came as if it was a to go packaging like they don't want you to eat at the restaurant. I wouldn't mind this but collectively for Cajun fries, popcorn chicken and a drink. It came out to 19 dollars. Don't come here. This place is a horrible experience with mediocre food at best and priced way too high.

Spicy Sando extra pickles. side of "Cajun" (?) fries
    John S.

Not sure what a "Hold-aak" is but I know what it's not...my fav chicken Sando. I got the spicy sandwich and it was good but not great. A bit sloppy and coleslaw overwhelmed the chicken which was a bit dry and lacked a flavor pop. Cajun fries came plain but when I inquired with the register guy he gave me a small spice container to sprinkle on. Again, no flavor pop and needed some salt vs just paprika. Too many other places to come back here. Sorry, I'll "Hold"-baak. "Come-back" sauce - sorry not likely.

    Dirt in my salad

A few bites into my salad, I noticed something small moving. I took a closer look and realized it was a plant pest. I didn't think much of it and took a couple more bites and noticed black particles on my lettuce. At this point, I knew it was not just a coincidence case of a plant pest. I looked through my salad and found a chunk of dirt at the bottom of the box. I called the store to let them know what I had found in my salad. The girl who processed my refund noted the reason being "customer did not enjoy their meal." No, that was not the reason. There was dirt and plant pests in my meal. How was I supposed to enjoy it?

SEOUL SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH #1 Combo
    Kevin T.

Food: I love the Seoul spicy chicken sandwich. My partner and I ordered the 2 #1 combo for $19.99. Each sandwich came with fries and a drink. The sauce is sweet and slightly spicy. The comeback sauce is so good with the fries. Service: we ordered online, and it was ready when we arrived. They're very fast to take your order and also get your order out. Ambiance: there's ample parking in the lot. Looks very hipster inside, sorta of a like a garage setting.

There is a good sized parking lot behind the restaurant. The ordering counter is on the front side of the building. Once parked, you can either walk around the building, or walk through the open-air covered patio. I walked around to get a closer look at the unique chicken-head Beatles' Abbey Road mural on the side of the building. The menu is obviously chicken-focused, and features various sandwiches, wraps, and salads, along with several sides. They also have a small breakfast menu served until noon on the weekend. After ordering, they will give you a number and bring your food when it's ready. I really enjoyed the dining area, which is a covered, open-air space with a high ceiling. I sat in one of the booths towards the front. Each booth has a classic painting on the wall with chicken heads on it. There are also many different types of tables thoughout, and more seating upstairs on the second floor. There is also additional seating in front of their full bar. I had the Coop Deville sandwich (fried breast, pickled fresno chiles, pickles, napa cabbage, lime mayo, artisan brioche bun, $14.50). The chicken breast was thick and piping hot, and had a great crunchy crust on it. All of the ingredients went together well and I loved the flavor. The bun was very fresh, and the sandwich wasn't as messy as I thought it might be. I was still a little hungry, so I went back and ordered the regular sized hand cut fries (regular size $4.50, large size $7.50). They are tossed in schmaltz (chicken fat) and a light dusting of spices. They were hot and fresh, and the regular size was way more than I could eat by myself. They have a self-serve sauce bar with five options on tap including ketchup, Srirarcha T000 Island, Sweet Baby G's BBQ, ranch, and pineapple mustard. I dipped my sandwich in the BBQ and Srirarcha Thousand Island, and my fries in the BBQ, ranch, and pineapple mustard. They have a cornhole game towards the back, are dog friendly, and host trivia night on Thursdays. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere, and would definitely return.

Chick-N-Out was one of the most highly rated places in Anaheim California. Chick-N-Out is located on Ball Road near Disneyland. It's open daily from 5:00 P.M to 11:00 P.M. Extended hours are on Fridays and Saturdays. This pop up food truck offers a variety of chicken sandwiches, French Fries, wraps, nachos, tenders and more! Most of their combo meals cost between $18.00-$20.00 each. My husband and I both ordered a chicken sandwich combo. My Chicken sandwich only had pickles on it, but he had everything added to his sandwich! There were a few customers ahead of us, so we ended up waiting about 15 minutes for the order. After we got our meal, we decided to eat it in our car fresh instead of bringing it back to the hotel. The chicken sandwich was so delicious! It was super crunchy. I think it was deep fried with the corn flake crust. It was one of the more unique chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken cutlet was relatively thin, but still scrumptious! I haven't had anything like this before! The French Fries were good. They needed a little bit more salt for me. The Cajun corn was slightly spicy. The cooks in the food truck prepare the orders from scratch. While we were waiting for the order, we saw a lot of the chicken cutlets being prepared and deep fried. I really enjoyed eating at Chick-N-Out. It's one of my new favorite places to eat at near Disneyland!
