I found out they sell baguettes for $5 and you can get it fully baked or partially baked and can bake It at home?I went with fully baked. I ordered a turkey pastrami sandwich and it was very good. I've never had a bad sandwich from here either. A week prior, I had the mac and cheese and it came with a small baguette. The mac and cheese was good and the sauce was thick. My baguette was so good! They have a small dining area and a bigger outdoor seating area. The employees are all very nice and they stay busy. The Food: Speaking of which, I got the French Dip, which was made of thinly sliced roast beef, house spread, and Swiss cheese. The au jus (dip) was served hot. Together, it was delicious -- easily one of the best French Dip sandwiches I've gotten from a fast food or fast-casual shop. As a side, I ordered the mac and cheese. While I prefer the mac and cheese from Chik-Fil-A more, this one was solidly above average. The Service: The employee who helped me was awesome -- very friendly and quite knowledgeable. (I wish I remembered his name so I could give him his props; he was a young Asian man, about 5' 10".) When we first arrived at peak lunch time, he quickly apologized in advanced for the long line and politely asked us to wait by the cash register before he rushed to help his coworkers make the previous orders. Eventually, he took our order and hand delivered the food to our a table. His coworkers were also equally nice and happy to oblige when we asked for lids for our sides and a to-go bag. The Location: Sourdough & Co is located on the east-side of The Village at Orange, which is/was an indoor mall that is being converted into a large outdoor strip mall. Parking is a bit annoying, as the lanes are all one-way and kinda narrow, two factors that result in bottlenecks on the roads that lead to the main ingress/egresses. While you'll always find a spot, you might have to walk a little bit, due to the one-way parking setup. The Setting: Inside, Sourdough & Co is set up with a brick-and-tile aesthetic to give it an old-school deli feel. It's a pretty narrow shop, so there's not a ton of space inside. With only four or five tables, it's not ideal for large groups if you plan to stay for your meal. There is limited seating outdoors, but not ideal during hot weather. Speaking of which, we visited when it was 90-degrees F outside we still felt it inside. Either the A/C wasn't working or it was set so high that it didn't provide much relief. While I was warm, the employees were literally sweating! The Pricing: This ain't your daddy's Subway -- you won't be finding any $5 footlong deals here. All told, my combo (including a drink) was $27 with tax. Fortunately, the sandwich was large and I actually split it in two, eating the second half as another meal. Paying almost $30 for one person at a non-sit-down restaurant is a sign that inflation is crazy these days. Still, you get what you pay for, and you're getting good food made of premium ingredients with great service. Anyone with disabilities would need to use a ramp that's located on the opposite end of the patio next to the sushi place. I saw this spot recently opened up and had to try it! Staff were really friendly when I came in and they had a kiosk to make ordering easy. I love that you can customize your sandwich as you see fit (think the highest quality subway) to get exactly what you're craving. Excited that we're getting some new food spots in the area. My coworker and I stopped in for lunch during the week. There is plenty of parking but as another review stated, you do have to climb stairs to get inside. It did take some time for our food to arrive and when we were about halfway through our sandwiches, I realized that my coworker hadn't received his Mac and cheese. I'm always excited for a new place to open near me. I drive by this shopping center several times a week so I'm always keeping an eye out for new places to try. First, I'm not sure who created this Yelp page, but the place is called Sourdough & Co, not just Sourdough. Second, it's not that big inside, but they have a good-sized patio in the front. Third, they're still waiting for their liquor license, which I'm sure will bring more people in. The people working there are super nice. They're still working out some kinks, but that's to be expected for a new location. After ordering in person, I was able to find their app, and also saw they have a screen you can order from that's not near the register, which is a good thing! So many restaurants place the self-order screen right next to the regular register, and it just creates a cluster of people that no one can maneuver through. The food is really good. Not sure I'd call it great, but it's tasty. It's also more expensive that another local sourdough bread company, and the meat isn't as plentiful. The sandwich I ordered was nice and hot though which I appreciated. The cookies are pretty dang good, but also on the pricey side. They get a bonus star for having Coke products and free refills! We stopped in here to grab lunch to go after our usual Sunday morning grocery shopping. Very clean, nice homey feeling, decent sized patio to sit on, but it was HOT inside. They had ceiling fans on, but it felt cooler outside, and outside it was high 80's. I felt bad for the workers, turn on the A/C! Their sourdough bread is great, I was afraid it would be too hard, but it had a nice crunch while staying soft on the inside. My pesto sandwich was really good, I preferred it to his crunchy chicken. Their pesto is super tasty and all the ingredients tasted fresh, I would have liked more onions though. Oh! Can't forget about their pickles, loved them! They are dill but have a different flavor to them than the usual dill pickles I have had, really enjoyed it. I think we'll eat here again. My sandwich was $13 and his was $14, not bad.
