This has been my choice 2 years in a row at the Anaheim Packing District Food Hall! The vegan ramen is delicious and has yummy fried tofu pieces. The portion is huge, I could've almost split this with someone. Service was fast and friendly and ordering was simple and efficient. Iced tap water is available, the employee even pointed that out after I ordered a bottle of water - I appreciated her trying to save me some money! I was asked what spice level I wanted (I chose none, but if you like spice you'd like this option to customize to your tastes) I also got a cut avocado sushi roll, which was fresh and delicious. Spicy mayo is available at the condiments bar among other things, and is complimentary when most other places charge extra. I do wish there was a combo avocado cucumber roll option. My colleagues were pleased with their sushi hand rolls from here, too. A very solid option!
Came by the Packing District with a friend after a long day in Anaheim. 100% agree with another reviewer who noted its pricy for the quality offered. I came on a Sunday afternoon and parking at the packing district was full so I parked for 2 hrs for free in a parking at city hall and walked 2 blocks over, though the district does also offer valet parking. You order at the counter and can sit anywhere inside however its very packed over the weekends so seating can get limited as a result. 5 roll omakase + miso soup 3/5, this was just okay, the fish didn't taste super fresh and though I finished all the rolls they weren't anything to write home about, I wouldn't get this again
Came to the Packinghouse District in Anaheim to get out of the rain and ended up at Zabon Ramen and hand rolls, perfect choice for a rainy day. We were craving soup, and the ramen did not disappoint. Everything was so delicious. We ordered the spicy miso ramen, and it was amazing, rich, flavorful, and definitely spicy in the best way. It had my nose running, but that's how you know it's good . We also added the mini chashu bowl which was absolutely bomb. The pork was tasty, and the pickled ginger strips added such a good punch of flavor. The value here is really good too. The mini chashu bowl is only $5.50 when you add it on, and for everything we ordered, the total came out to less than $30. For how filling and flavorful it was, that's a great deal. Service is kind of meh and more fast-food style, but honestly, the food was so good it didn't even matter. I still gave it 5 stars because the flavors were on point. Would definitely come back again.
Expensive for what it is. Food was prepared fresh. Went for a premium set but it did come out pricey at 20 ++ The tuna wasn't fatty as I would have liked. The crab was really good though... the yellowtail wasn't was sharp as I woild have wanted. It did smell a little bit. For 3 temaki / hand rolls... this seems a bit pricey. But you do pay for the location I guess. Service was quick but i did ordered on the kiosk. So yeah.
Zabon is located towards the middle of the upper floor at the Anaheim Packing District. They have two different ordering areas, one for hand and cut rolls on the left, and one for ramen, rice bowls, appetizers, and cut rolls on the right. After ordering, they give you a pager to let you know when your order is ready to come back and pick it up. There is plenty of seating all around the inside of the packing district. There is also an outdoor shaded patio right behind Zabon. We started out with a few cut rolls. She had the California roll ($12.50) and enjoyed it. I usually don't care much for California rolls, but I tried a few pieces, and it was surprisingly very good. I had the spicy tuna roll ($13.95) which is almost always my starter roll. It was just ok, and something almost tasted a little off. We were still a little hungry so I went back to the counter and ordered the crunchy salmon roll ($18.75). This was definitely the best roll of the night with great flavor. It has shrimp, cucumber, and avocado inside, wrapped with salmon, and topped with crunch and a few sauces. Both employees were friendly, and our orders were prepared quickly. There is a station next to the pick-up area that has various fresh sauces, prepackaged soy packets, and small plastic cups of ginger. I was a little disappointed that the wasabi is also prepackaged packets and not fresh. I deducted one star due to the so-so spicy tuna roll, prepackaged wasabi, and above average prices.
Overpriced and Rotten. The Caribbean Lobster roll started and stopped with a single bite. What is I thinking? The lobster should have been put in the trash last night, not served as a weekend special today. My stomach is churning. Avoid this place.

Been to many many ramen shops.... This is among the best, pork never taste bad... always fresh... untethered never serve those old chazhiu .. and broth is amazing too Owner always always if you need anything, sometimes throw on free stuff One of the best and friendliest!
Was doubtful at first, especially when I saw them just pull rolls out of a fridge.. but to my surprise the food tasted pretty decent! Not pictured is the pork chashu bowl I took home, but that bowl was veryy good! Would recommend the bowl.
Wanted try this place as I am a fan of ramen. They had a lot of other things here as it is not only ramen but they have sushi and hand rolls to offer as well as sides and rice bowls. It was kind of a warm day and so I got their version which Chashu bowl. Every bite was so good! The flavor of the Chashu was just divine! It was a great portion too although I will say it was quite pricey as I paid 20 for the bow but it's very good and worth it if you are willing to spend the money! The ambiance is what you would expect from the packing district, loud, bustling and full of people. The service was ok not much you can do other than order in person and wait for it but it was good. Overall this place gets a 5 star from me! I definitely will want to come back and try the ramen next time!
Spicy miso ramen-5 stars Yellow tail collar bone- 5 stars The food here is amazing! Food taste fresh and portions are plenty! The spicy ramen has great umami flavor and the yellow tail collar bone is big and cooked to perfection! Doesn't need any dipping sauce. Taste great just the way it is!
Zabon is located upstairs in the Anaheim Packing District. Was craving ramen and decided to give it a try. They also have sushi on the menu as well. We ordered the Miso Ramen spicy, chicken karaage and added a Salmon Belly Avocado hand roll. They give you a buzzer and pick up when ready. Cashier was friendly and helped me decide which hand roll to get. The ramen broth looked very spicy but it was the perfect kick. The pork was tender and noodles were cooked just right. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was served over white rice (a generous amount) The hand roll was my favorite and i was tempted to get more! The salmon was fresh and the rice ratio was good. Overall a good spot!
TLDR: A decent option in a location with a wealth of choices. It won't be the best ramen but it's better than those deemed average. I won't go out of my way just to come back here. Miso Ramen Set: You get the creamy and salty tonkotsu broth, ramen noodles that had good portions, and a good amount of chashu slices that was more fat than chashu. The noodles were cooked well as they were chewy and didn't just fall apart. The broth didn't get old the longer the meal went, but it wasn't good enough to drink as itself. Chicken Karaage bowl: This came with the set. The rice was pretty standard for Japanese rice, but the chicken was surprising. Crispiness was sacrificed for juiciness. I think the flavor was there, and it's a good side to pair with the ramen. Service: It's a food court, so the interaction you get with the staff is pretty much just ordering and the food handover during the pickup. Nothing to note here Ambiance: Packing district is a fun place to eat, but you may have problems finding a seat for parties more than 4. It's perfect for solo or pair diners, and I won't mind eating a bowl of ramen while enjoying the view of the location, and just being in the moment.
If you're looking for a place to kill time and/or want a bite to eat - we recommend the Anaheim Packing House, a former Sunkist plant that has been converted to a food hall. It's two levels and there's something for everyone. Our flight wasn't for a few hours, so we stopped here to check things out. My daughter enjoyed her hand rolls at Zaban. read more

A little pricey for the food BUT very refreshing and flavorful! I got the salmon trio hand rolls, a miso soup, and the spam masubi. Each was very tasty and delicious. The salmon was nice and FRESH! You can order quickly at the ziosk -- and I didn't have to wait long for my food. They have free water cups here, which is nice as well. This restaurant is INSIDE THE PACKING HOUSE! read more

Just okay hand rolls. I wanted a light snack while visiting Anaheim Packing House so we thought hand rolls would be perfect. We got the 3-roll set to include salmon, spicy tuna, and yellowtail for $19.25. And we got a side of yuzu ponzu sauce for 50¢ extra. The hand rolls had some nice additions - salmon had avocado, spicy tuna had micro greens, and yellowtail had fresh herbs. I think the fish quality wasn't the best, as the salmon was more lean as opposed to soft and buttery. The amount of fish also was a little disappointing which dramatically decreased after the first bite. While they could improve in a couple of areas, it was still a nice stop in the Anaheim Packing House! read more
My friends and I visited the packing district on a Saturday night and it was very busy! It took a while to find parking on the side streets. It also took a while to find seats! We ordered a few handrolls from this vendor and the service was very fast. You order at a kiosk and they start to prep it immediately. We got a scallop handroll, spicy tuna, regular tuna, and crab. When you pick up your order they have a section to grab all your pre packaged sauces and condiments. The food was good, the fish wasn't bad and I liked how much fish they actually give you. You'd need 3-4 hand rolls to make you full from a meal, but we got other food from different vendors so this was the perfect amount. read more

So fresh!! The Avocado roll was on point. One of the freshest hand- rolled avocado rolls I've had! And the service was fast. I mean, I ordered it and bam it was ready. The presentation was there too, so it wasn't like it was rolled all sloppy. It was perfectly done. Price was reasonable. read more

I thought the food was pretty good but it was kind of expensive! Most of the places at the packing house are a bit pricy though so just keep that in mind. There are a lot of places to sit and the food came out quick so I'm still happy with my experience :) read more
Located on the second floor of Anaheim Packing House, this place offers Japanese style food like ramen, rice bowls, and sushi with cut rolls and hand rolls. There's a self ordering tablet at the front counter. The food came out quickly but it was a little confusing since our food came separately at 2 different stations. We got the 5 Roll Omakase Set with miso soup and Crunchy Roll. The hand rolls were big and filling, but the fish didn't taste as fresh as I would've preferred. The Crunchy Roll was pretty good with the shrimp. There's not as much seating by this area, there's bar seating, but this is mostly a place to pick up food and find seating. Cute place for a date or a small group of friends. read more
Zabon Ramen changed me on a spiritual, emotional, and physical level in the best way possible. The spicy miso ramen is AMAZING. Usually when I order a spicy broth, I have to add a bunch of sauces to make it spicier but NOT HERE. The broth was deliciously spicy, tofu was perfectly cooked, and the service was wonderful! The food was good but the serving size for the price was the reason I docked a star. I know a place in Fullerton that's $2 cheaper and double the serving size (or at least looks like it). I would dock .5 of a star if I could because they charge extra for egg & anytime I've had ramen the egg is included. I appreciate that they have the sauces off to the side for access + little containers of ginger (I absolutely love fresh ginger) You can ask for sriracha if needed! 2 bowls of ramen + 1 egg , a crunchy roll & pickled ginger came out to around $60 crazy read more

Staying in the Anaheim area and was told about the packing district. Walking in the ambiance was fantastic, very decorative and relaxing, almost like a farmers market but for food! Zabon is located on the second floor facing the valet side entrance. We were greeted by Sean, he was very helpful and reccomended us some of his favorites and worked with us on the items and specifications for our order. We probably waited 4 minutes max for an order of 5 handrolls and 2 miso soups, and they were absolutely fantastic!! Highly reccomend for the service, quality, and taste if you're looking for a quick bite with an enjoyable experience. read more
Came here for dinner on a Thursday evening; I was not super hungry and wanted something on the lighter side. Decided to "risk it" and ordered handrolls even though their main dish is ramen. I got the 3 roll set, which came with Spicy Tuna, Yellowtail and Salmon. The salmon was a little bit fishy and a tad on the bland side, but the yellowtail and spicy tuna were really good and tasted pretty fresh. The yellowtail was my favorite, and it came with some pickled radish in the roll as well. It was pretty busy this night but there is open seating everywhere. We sat on the upper floor and got to see a live band/singer perform which was a nice date night vibe. About $20 for the roll set, and it made for a nice light dinner, leaving room for dessert afterwards! read more
The crunchy roll & shrimp tempura hand roll were disappointing, unfortunately. Somehow the shrimp had zero flavor... I didn't finish it which is a first for me. Ramen & rice bowls were pretty decent. The Anaheim Packing District is fun environment especially when there's a dj, but I would recommend skipping this place as there are a lot of other food options on both floors. read more
Nestled into one of the biggest combined food and fun experiences is this little gem. It was closing time, so we got the vegan ramen. Big enough for two and we split it. First, I have an allergy to MSG and I asked if it had been added. There are 3 ramens on the menu. 1 has MSG and the other 2 do not. Vegan does not. And guys, let me tell you how good this ramen is!!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. The flavors are explosive. Probably the best ramen I have ever had. Who needs meat when you have a huge Flavor profile. Try the vegan you won't be disappointed. Plus you can get a large shareable bottle of beer for under $10 bucks . Best deal near Disney. read more

Really good ramen and sushi place in Anaheim packing district! My wife tried the vegan ramen and it was nice and spicy! Noodles were so fresh and tasty and the tofu/veggies so fresh!! Salmon avacado sushi was decent, they have hand rolls so maybe for next time! Highly recommended!! read more

I went to the Packing House on Saturday (yesterday) with my family to enjoy some eats and I ordered the Crunchy Roll with Salmon from here. I'm not entirely sure if it was because it was hot out that day and spoiled something, or maybe just food not sitting well with me, but I unfortunately got really nauseous and sick after eating this (I threw up a couple minutes after outside) :( Didn't eat anything else at the Packing house, other than a drink from El Chamango. Was just really sad that it made me as sick as it did. read more

This is ok... $35 for 5 rolls isn't terrible but you get what you pay for. Also I think they put the roll together while the rice is hot so everything becomes this warm-soggy texture. Whyyyy Visited the Anaheim Packing District again for the first time in 7 years (!!!) with some friends for dinner. Everything was somehow exactly how I remembered and unfamiliar all at once LOL. Settled on Zabon Ramen & Rolls for a light meal. - 5-ROLL SET: Serving this in 3 separate flimsy plates is... Unideal. Very precarious trip back to our table :') I ate this right away, as recommended, and found that the seaweed was still soggy and fillings were a bit mushy. Their fish quality is comparable to grocery store sushi. My expectations were already tempered from being at a tourist destination-- was fully expecting to pay mainly for the stylish environment and convenience. read more

This was ok: Miso Ramen Chashu Rice Bowl I didn't like: Kaarage Rice Bowl The miso ramen soup base is solid #goodeats but the noodles and cabbage has a overall sour note to it. Sadly disappointed by the karaage since it isn't crispy and its pretty plain flavor wise. The bowls are fairly deep so the portions sizes look smaller than it actually is. Service is fairly quick in terms of getting the food out, there's a self serve bar for sauces. The Anaheim packing house is a fun place to sit and people watch while you eat but there's not a ton of seats available inside, there is plenty of outside patio seating. read more
