Creative Mediterranean wraps in a brightly lit, fast casual dining atmosphere. I first tried Spitz about 15 years ago at their Little Tokyo location which I think was their first SoCal location. Street Card Doner (garlic aioli, fried lavash chips, romaine, cabbage, tomato, onion, green pepper, cucumber, tzatziki) - I went with chicken for my protein. At first I thought there wasn't much meat in the wrap but as I got into it evened out much better. Good flavor and the fried lavash chips added some chomp to the wrap. They have seven or eight different sauces and they are all complimentary. Just ask the staff and they will bring out cups of them for you. The wrap is medium size and I would get it again, but I am not opposed to trying a different wrap next time. Fried Pita Strips w/ Hummus - I ordered the large size and it was huge! About 15 thick cut pita bread slices, fried until crispy, basted with some oil and parsley. Comes with a couple of cups of hummus for dipping. It could use a little more hummus to go with all of the pita (easily shareable between four people). You get a lot of bang for your buck on this one and everyone will love it. Highly recommended. If the menu choices seem overwhelming, the staff is very helpful with that. They are friendly and checked on me a couple of times to see if I need more sauces or anything else. It's a good place to take your family or some friends for some reasonably priced Mediterranean wraps! read more

Ordered the Street Cart Wrap with gyro meat. Customer service was excellent, place is spotless, great environment with surround sound music and tv's. The wrap however was mainly stuffed with lettuce, pickles and red cabbage, very little amount of protein. Cost of the wrap is about $17.00 including tax. I would suggest they increase their protein portions in the wraps, other than that, everything else is excellent! read more

Delicious and fresh halal spot!!! Love everything I've tried here. Perfectly seasoned and always consistent. The mixed doner basket is my go to since it has a salad with fries. The toppings are so good too, crispy chickpeas, feta, banana peppers, and more! The falafels are nice and crunchy as well. tHe service is always great, very nice and friendly. Spitz is its own kind of place and it's very unique which makes its craveable. I recently tried another Spitz location and it was not it. Cold fries and skimpy wrap but not here. Here they load up the wrap and the fries always taste fresh. I don't live near a Spitz but my friend lives in Placentia and I make sure to pick up a meal when I'm there. My favorite is the Zesty doner. Both their fries are amazing with the garlic aioli and green sauce. read more

My coworkers and I had this place because it was recommended by another coworker. It was really good the first time we had it so we ordered for "fun" Friday. However.... This time they forgot to add the fried lavish chips to my street cart doner. I am allergic to cheese, but just in case they put the tzatziki on the side. Loved that! Ordered catering from here for a big event over Easter weekend and it was an excellent experience. All of the food was so fresh, well prepared/wrapped, neatly organized, everything was labelled and packed perfectly - and they helped carry everything out to the car. I had multiple guests ask where the food was from because they thought it was such good quality and the veggies were so fresh - plenty of people took home leftovers happily. Spitz is located on the corner of Kraemer and Yorba Linda Blvd. It is easy to spot and access. Parking is plentiful. The inside is clean and nicely arranged. Seating ranges from booths to free-standing high and standard tables to counter/bar seats. They also have a cute corner that is stocked with a variety of board games, so they make it fun and easy to just hang out a while. There are both front and back outside areas that have additional seating. Orders are placed at the counter/register right as you walk in. The gal at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. She also delivered our food to the table and was mindfully checking in us to see if we needed anything. Soft drink and water are from a serve yourself fountain. It was nice to have a choice of 2 diet sodas: Coke Zero and Diet Dr Pepper. The water dispenser has lemon/lime infused water. I wanted to try something different today, so I ordered the Street Cart wrap. It's got A LOT going on! Wrapped in lavash, it's got cabbage, cukes, tomatoes, onions, crispy lavash strips, choice of protein (I chose beef & lamb), garlic aioli, and tzatziki. It seemed like each bite was different from the last. Personally, it was a little too much for me. Although I like all the components individually, all wrapped together, I just couldn't enjoy it. For me, atmosphere and service get a 5+/5 but food only rates 3/5. read more

It was just okay. The small portion size for the meat matches the lower price compared to other restaurants. Wouldn't call this anywhere near Mediterranean like they claim. They practically smash up their tomatoes, which made my bowl watery and unappetizing. The fried garbanzos were hit or miss. Some tasted good, while others tasted like dirty fryer oil. My boyfriend found pita bread in his fries, which would aggravate someone with a gluten allergy, so cross contamination is happening in the kitchen. Prior to visiting, I emailed corporate asking for an allergen list or list of ingredients at least. My email was ignored, as it's been 3 weeks with no reply. I have allergies and food sensitivities, which makes me afraid to dine at restaurants that are secretive like this. I took a risk and went anyway, which I won't be doing again. I like to know what I'm putting in my body, and chain restaurants are notorious for using fillers and additives to stretch their dollars. No thanks. read more

I was excited about the 5 star reviews. place is cool modern vibe. the bowls all sorta seem the same. i decide to get beef and lamb. when i got my food the presentation isnt pretty. the lamb and beef look the same taste the same. i dont even know if they put both in here. the hummus/tzatski was just bland/boring and basic. this place is similar to cava & nick the greek. boop! sorry i wasnt really impressed for $20 read more

I frequent the chipotle in the same plaza and have been seeing Spitz coming soon for a while. Seeing that it finally opened and being a fan of Mediterranean, I thought I should give it a try. There was also a discount for first time online orders so it pushed me to get a few extra things. I honestly wasn't expecting much but I have got to say my husband and I were very pleasantly surprised!! We ordered the zesty feta doner wrap, the street cart doner wrap, the mixed fries, and the chicken wings. Everything we ordered was good! Between the two wraps, I preferred the zesty feta wrap because it was definitely more flavorful but both were sauced nicely and had good depth of flavor with the different ingredients in the wrap. My husband and I were both a big fan of the chicken wings. They are super well seasoned fried wings that are not sauced. They give two sides of dipping sauces which were both really yummy with the wings. The mixed fries were nice to get a variety of both regular and sweet potato fries with a straightforward good garlic aioli sauce. Settled on the Medi Bowl (with all three proteins), sweet potato fries, and falafel with hummus. Bowl was very tasty with a ton of great ingredients, but we wished there was more quinoa base and the meat was hot. It is not necessarily a hot bowl, but having the meat warm would have been super nice. Fries were excellent. Falafel had a great surprising cinnamon flavor and the hummus was great. Feel it is a bit overpriced overall for the bowls and wraps. Cool colorful vibes and ambience, games to bring and play at your table, and good outdoor space as well (in front and back). After a long wait, Spitz finally opened for business and we figured we would give it a try with a takeout order. Before going to a new restaurant, we always like to look at the online website menu to get an idea of what to order. I love a menu that shows pictures of the food, but I found the online menu layout showing pictures of the food that you have to click on to find out what it is was really awkward to use. We finally decided what to order so I headed over to the restaurant. Walking up to the front door of the restaurant, there was a big crowd of people just inside the door and I couldn't even go inside for about five minutes. The ordering and pickup counter is literally a yard or so from the front door and if they are busy, there is nowhere inside to wait in line. There were six or seven people bunched into a small area to the right of the ordering register and another four or five people on the other wall waiting to pickup to-go orders. The gal at the register was very friendly and took my order quickly. There was nobody sitting at the bar so I decided to sit at the end to wait. While I was waiting, the jars of sangria were mesmerizing and I will definitely have to try a glass some time. Finally after a little over 25 minutes, my food came out and I was on my way back home. I had the beef & lamb gyro which was pretty good. There was a good amount of protein and the fries inside gave it a nice crunch. My girlfriend had a berliner bowl with falafel and quinoa. She said it was pretty filling but not really very flavorful. I did go on a Saturday night and they were pretty slammed so I understand things might be backed up. But there were periods of time where no food was coming out for anybody. Hopefully they will get the kinks worked out. Currently, I would not recommend going during prime-time or you may be waiting a while if my experience was the norm. read more

Street Cart Doner ($14): Several protein choices available (beef & lamb, chicken, mixed meat, veggie, falafel) but I went for the mixed meat. The Street Cart Doner was packed with romaine, green pepper, garlic aioli, tomato, cucumber, cabbage, onions, fried lavash chips, and tzatziki sauce. A delicious wrap though I would ask for the garlic aioli on the side next time to dip the wrap in as it got a bit messy. Large Sweet Potato Fries ($8.75): Super crispy waffle cut sweet potato fries with a side of garlic aioli. Stayed crispy through the drive home. Must get item! So excellent, the food was amazing!, this is a hands on owner that oversees everything. Down to detail. Ok...place was kinda empty when we showed up and we weren't too sure about it since it was our first time. But holy cow...so we glad we stopped in. The food is so terrific here.
