Been coming here since it opened always bomb tacos and asada fries! Shoutout Ivan for helping us out!

Outstanding food, service and cleanliness! We always have a great experience when we come.

Delicious food and fast service! I ordered an Adobada Quesadilla. Highly recommend when in Downtown Brea.

I've come to Tacomasa multiple times and have tried many menu items! Everything is amazing every single time. Their portions don't disappoint either. You can absolutely taste the quality of their meats and ingredients! Also, their drinks and sauces are phenomenal! The carne asada is my favorite because you can taste a nice smoky/char flavor that I love, but you can't go wrong with any of their meats! Service is always friendly and I've seen some staff go out of their way for guests. I'll always be a loyal customer. read more

I tried the asada burrito after sampling the nopal. The employee offered half nopal and half asada, but I decided not to. I thought the hospitality was nice, and while the nopal was tasty, the asada left more to be desired. It was fine until I stared at it because the meat was cubed like dog/cat food. I prefer black beans, too, and the rice tasted slightly undercooked. I wish I tried the piña because I thought they only had pepino with piña. I was not able to finish it though. It was folded really neatly? But the salsa was more on the chunky than liquidy side, so it had to be scraped. The design doesn't feel Mexican to me, and I do not regret missing the Yelp Elite event here. read more

Tacomasa is located right in the streets of downtown Brea, with a super cute blue interior. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Both of the Aguas Frescas we ordered were delicious! We also got the two-taco combo plates that came with rice and beans. Unfortunately, the tripa and pork tacos were both pretty salty. The chicken was interesting--it was cut into really small little cubes, which gave it a different texture than I expected. The beans were also too salty for our taste. Overall, the drinks were a highlight, but the food was a little too salty for us. Service was excellent. read more

Solid tacos. Got the adobada, lengua, and carne tacos con todo (with everything) and this definitely hit the spot. The carne was definitely my favorite. Meat was tender and cut just the perfect bite size. Honestly if this was the only thing I got, I would've given this place a 5/5. The adobada and lengua while good, was a little less tender than would I would like. One honorable mention is I also liked how cubed and perfectly small the onions were cut. My gripe with some places is that the onions are on the larger side and take away from the meat flavor, making the taco more oniony flavored. But not here! If you can handle spicy, I also recommend the chili oil on the table, it has a nice smoky kick and definitely elevated the tacos. Was a must for me! Highly recommend for anyone in the area and looking to try. Would def come back as around, more a high 4 for me! read more

Mmmmmmm breakfast burrito. Came back here without letting the manager know since the last time there were eggshells in my burrito.. they had offered to comp my next meal but like a jerk I just paid for my eggs, bean and cheese burrito without saying anything. And I do not regret that one bit. Not one second or one cent. I got the exact same thing as last time and finished the whole burrito (in two sittings) with pride and a smile. The Brea trail was adjacent and I'd just gone for a walk with Nanners the dog, came here starving and got my fill of breakfast deliciousness. Even taking the leftover home and eating it for a late lunch was still really delicious. The tortilla stayed firm but flexible and the eggs and beans and cheese were still magic in a bite. Also thank you for letting me and my dog chill outside! Definitely looking forward to coming back. read more

Heard a lot of good things about this place, so I finally came to give it a try. I ordered their Deluxe Trio and got the asada, adobada, and tripa. All three were very flavorful, but I did find them to be on the saltier side. Their mild salsa was delicious, though, and went really well with all of the tacos. I think some of the extra saltiness might have been from the cheese that comes with the deluxe. To confirm my theory, I ordered a regular lengua taco afterward, and it was indeed less salty. The lengua was flavorful on its own, and I actually think I might prefer their non deluxe tacos. The star of the show for me was definitely the asada burrito con todo. Everything about it was tasty. The asada was tender, and the rice and beans were seasoned really well. Everything worked together, and there wasn't one ingredient that overpowered the rest. I would definitely order the burrito again. Overall, the food had a lot of flavor. I would probably skip the Deluxe next time because of the saltiness and stick with their regular tacos, but that asada burrito is something I would come back for. read more

I've been wanting to try it here for a while and finally had the chance to go on my lunch break. The meats are extremely flavorful. I also really liked the salsa macha. Service was good, very fast. It is a bit pricey, but I do like the food quality. It's on Birch so parking in the structure is best. I wish there was a seafood option as well. Tortillas were delicious! The sides for the taco plate are very tiny so just know it's not a big full plate. Overall a great spot for some tacos. read more

Tacomasa, located on bustling Birch St in downtown Brea is a perfect stop for a delicious taco! One of the tastiest tacos I've had with friendly service. It's a busy area, so at peak hours seating can be a bit difficult but there is indoor and outdoor seating available. read more

Nothing too exciting -- which I guess is to be expected at a mall-adjacent eatery --- but still a very solid two-taco combo here, and I was pretty pleased with the hearty portion sizes of my pollo and nopales options. Corn tortillas made in-house are a plus, though the contents inside could use a bit more heat. Def a good lunch spot if you're not looking for anything fancy or experimental though, and very nice aguas frescas selections, but almost too squeaky clean inside, with sterile vibes. Service all around was dang good though, especially for a chain restaurant. read more

Honestly this was a somewhat disappointing experience for my hubby & I. I can see this being an attractive location for those that don't care for well seasoned food, it's in Brea so that checks out. As for this Chicana that loves her food well seasoned I found this place lacking. I got 1 asada taco & 1 mulita with adobada (pork meat) & hubby got 1 asada taco & 1 tripa taco. We both were disappointed with the lack of flavor in the meats. We also got an elote and it was more cobb than corn because the corn we ordered had very thin kernels. For the price of $5 a taco, $6 for mulita, & $7 for the corn it was disappointing overall. I gave a two star instead of 1 though because the one thing I truly enjoyed was their guayaba limon agua & the service was good & the location was clean. To mi gente out there that like well marinated, seasoned meat skip on this place, but for you that like light to no seasoned meat this is your gem. read more

Great customer service Ivan was great!!! Restaurant was clean and fast service was provided...

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and had a really nice experience. There was plenty of seating available, both indoors and outdoors, so it was easy to find a spot to sit and enjoy our food. Ordering and payment are done at the counter, which made the process quick. The menu is simple but offers a good variety of options without feeling overwhelming. I ordered the elote, and it was exactly what I was hoping for, prepared just like the elote man makes it! I also recommend trying one of their aguas frescas. The staff was welcoming, and our order came out promptly. The dining area was clean and well maintained Parking was also convenient with a parking structure nearby. Overall, this is a great casual spot to grab a quick bite with good food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely come back to try more from the menu. read more

Taco Massa is usually my go to spot, so this visit was disappointing. My chicken quesadilla was nothing like it normally is. The cheese was pretty much burnt instead of being melted and gooey, so it didn't have that cheesy quesadilla consistency at all. It was dry and just wasn't enjoyable. I'm hoping this was just an off day. read more

We were around the area and decided to stop by here for lunch. It's a small taco shop, but plenty of patio seating. I got to try 2 carne asada tacos, and my bf got a quesadilla a lengua taco. It didn't take too long to receive our order, so service was pretty efficient. The tacos are on the more "pricier" side compared to street tacos, maybe because these are considered more gourmet or so? Although, I wouldn't really say it's not as premium. The guac that they had with the taco was pretty nice. The carne asada cuts on the taco were thicker than usual, has a smoky flavor to it which was pretty nice. Tacos were pretty standard. I tried my bf's quesadilla and it honestly tasted more like a cheese taco than a quesadilla. The proportions don't seem to be quite right for a quesadilla since there was more meat and less cheese. Overall, it was not bad. Personally, I feel like Tacomasa gives me more Americanized taco vibes. I don't really feel the authenticity here, but it's pretty decent. Nothing too special. read more

Tacomasa's lengua burrito is hands down one of the best around. The lengua is cooked to absolute perfection--melt-in-your-mouth tender, incredibly flavorful, and seasoned just right without being greasy. Wrapped in a soft, warm flour tortilla with crisp cilantro, onions, and loaded with their vibrant house-made salsa, every single bite is rich and satisfying. If you appreciate authentic, high-quality Mexican street food, this burrito alone makes Tacomasa an absolute must-visit spot. Highly recommended! read more

Stopped by this place for lunch and ordered the deluxe trio asada tacos, and I was really impressed. It looks like they opened not too long ago, so this is a newer taco spot. The staff was extremely friendly from the moment we walked in, and the restaurant itself was very clean. What I really appreciated was that the staff allowed us to sample the different meats before ordering, which made it easier to decide since they offer several options. I ended up going with the classic asada and ordered the deluxe trio option. The portion size was huge compared to the traditional tacos. I was honestly full after about one and a half tacos, so if you're not a big eater, two tacos will definitely be enough. For most guys, I think the deluxe trio is the perfect amount. The meat was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. They also provide a sauce of your choice, and you can request a side of jalapeños, which I absolutely loved. Another thing I liked was that the cooking area is behind a glass wall, so you can watch the chefs cook live. I thought that was very transparent and reassuring. The staff was constantly cleaning and maintaining the area, which really stood out to me because a clean environment is so important when you're eating out. I really hope the quality and overall experience stay consistent. Sometimes restaurants are great when they first open, but quality can drop over time. That said, I absolutely loved this taco place and would definitely return. Amazing quality, generous portions, and very friendly staff. Love this place. read more

Service was great! Elote was warm and delicious. My chicken tacos were good as well. A bit more seasoning would have sealed the deal. My son loved his crispy fries. Everything was really clean and service was great. I'm giving 4 stars because I had to keep asking for napkins and salsa. I would prefer for napkins to be somewhere where I can get them myself and preferably a salsa bar. I wanted more lime but didn't want to bother them asking for things. But other than that everything was great! Great location and friendly staff read more

Great addition to downtown Brea! There's limited street parking and a parking structure available. There used to be a long line when they first opened, but it's not too bad anymore. I came on a Saturday around 6:30 PM and there was no wait. There's some seating inside, but more outdoor seating available. I usually order the following: Taco Combo - comes with two tacos, rice and beans, and a small drink for $13.95. Totally worth it because you can choose any drink including horchata and agua frescas and get refills. Asada Fries - $14.95 comes with sour cream, Guac, cheese, and salsa. Love how crispy the fries are. Service is also good! Many places charge extra for salsa, but love how they don't do that here. Also, tacos are a little pricier but they're big. Overall, highly recommend! read more

I stopped by to grab some tacos before a comedy show at The Improv. There's a free parking structure just a short walk away and the area has plenty of restaurants, stores, and a movie theater. I ordered the taco combo, which comes with 2 tacos, a small side of rice and beans, and a small drink. I went with 2 adobada tacos and a jamaica. They also offer other aguas frescas like horchata and pepino con piña. The tacos were good and hit the spot before the show! Stopped by Tacomar in Brea and ended up trying a little bit of everything. I had the taco de asada, pollo, adobada, lengua, and tripa, plus an esquite on the side. All of the tacos were delicious, but the asada was the clear standout--perfectly seasoned and you can really taste the charcoal from the grill, which gives it that extra depth and smokiness. One thing I loved was that you can sample all of the aguas frescas since they are self-serve. The flavors were great across the board, but the pepino con piña was especially refreshing--crisp, light, and super thirst-quenching. The only miss for me was the esquite. The corn itself was good, but the cheese they used was a little too pungent and ended up overpowering the dish. Overall, though, fantastic tacos, great aguas, and definitely a spot I'd come back to for that charcoal-grilled asada. read more

We waited a little to try this new hot place in downtown Brea because the lines are always long! We finally noticed the line being reasonable so decided to give it a go. I ordered a quesadilla and my bf a burrito. My quesadilla was good but not great for the price. I usually can't finish quesadillas at other Mexican restaurants but I was able to eat the whole thing. My bf wasn't too impressed with the burrito as it didn't have much protein in it, it was mostly rice/beans. The sauces were good and it's nice that you get to see the kitchen. They have a restroom onsite close to the soda machine and aguas frescas. I was surprised that no iced tea is offered. You walk up to the front and place your order. They give you a number and you find a table. We came on a hot sunny day and the outdoor seating has absolutely no shaded areas, we got lucky and someone was leaving a small table inside so we hurried to grab it. The ambiance is casual, clean inside with light colors. They tend to be playing very loud music which makes it hard to have a conversation if you are indoors. Overall I think it's a bit on the pricier side and I personally do not think the flavour or portion sizes make up for the price. I might be back because of the convenient location and relatively quick service, but I would not go out of my way to come. read more

Tacomasa in Brea is easily one of the best spots in the area when you're craving high-quality, authentic street tacos with a modern touch. The highlight here is definitely the meat quality and flavor. The Adobada (spicy pork) shaved straight off the trompo is incredible tender, well-seasoned, and packed with that classic crispiness on the edges. The Carne Asada is equally impressive, cooked fresh over an open flame so you get that genuine smoky charred flavor rather than dry, pre-cooked meat. Top it off with their handmade corn tortillas which hold up perfectly to heavy toppings. The interior is clean, vibrant, and fast-casual, making it a great spot for a quick lunch or casual dinner. Service is quick and friendly even when the line stretches out the door. Also is very close to Tesla superchargers. read more

A pretty mixed bag for Tacomasa. Starting with the good- very friendly service, clean interior and a great fresh juice selection which was a pleasant surprise. As for the food it was honestly underwhelming. We tried tacos and a vampiro. The asada was a bit overcooked but did have a nice smoky flavor to it. There was something a bit off with the pork adobada. Having been to Ensenada 10+ times it just didn't taste very close to Baja style adobada. The flavor notes reminded me of canned sausage and the pork was very drippy with oil. I was surprised to learn that the tortillas here are hand pressed because they tasted and looked store bought. The salsa verde and roja were both pretty tasty. Overall, Tacomasa did disappoint- just a mix of good and not so good and I wouldn't go out of my way to return. read more
