I would honestly give Tacomasa six stars if I could. From the moment we walked in, the whole experience just hit. Huge shoutout to Natalie, who took care of us and completely set the tone. Her customer service was next level. It was our first time at this location and she immediately made us feel comfortable, offering samples of the proteins and walking us through everything without making it feel forced. I've been to another Taco Masa near the airport before, but this location really stood out and might officially be my go to now. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, which is something you don't always get at places like this. You can tell they actually care about what they're serving. Even little things stood out, like the horchata running out and then getting refilled shortly after. That told me it's being made in house, not just sitting in a machine all day. The food itself was perfect. Great flavor, tender, well portioned, and fully customizable. On top of that, they bring the food to your table and are constantly checking in, cleaning up, and keeping everything looking nice without being intrusive. There's a level of respect and attention there that you don't always see, and it really makes a difference. I also want to give a genuine shoutout to the other women working who were helping clean and pick up tables nonstop. I see you guys. That kind of effort doesn't go unnoticed and it really adds to the overall experience. The vibe also deserves its own moment because the music had me in a whole mood. Straight up classics, the kind of songs you grew up hearing on Saturday mornings while cleaning the house. I was literally eating and singing at the same time. It made the whole place feel alive and probably explains why everyone seemed to be in such a good mood. It's also in a great area with a steady flow of people ordering to go, which is always a good sign. Only thing I'll say is the prices lean a bit on the higher side, but it's 100 percent worth it for the quality and service you're getting. If anything, my only regret is not tipping ahead of time because I didn't realize how great the service was going to be. That's on me, but next time I'm definitely coming prepared. Between the food, the service, the vibe, and the overall experience, this place earned every star and then some.

I've visited Taco Masa along with two other locations, and to be honest, this one was the best of the three. The staff were incredibly friendly especially the cashier who took my order. She walked me through the menu with such patience, and even though I was there around 9 p.m. on a Saturday, it wasn't overly crowded, just a steady stream of customers. I had tacos and corn on the cob (Elote) , and both were fresh and full of flavor. But the real highlight was the agua Fresca. It's $3.50 with free refills! I tried the watermelon, cucumber and lemon which was definitely my favorite. I wasn't a fan of the guava. The staff were also on top of cleaning tables often, and while the restroom was overall clean, it did need some serious flooring work. just a hardware issue, not the staff. The location is on a busier street in downtown Brea, so parking is a bit tricky. Be careful as some spots have a 20-minute limit, but if you drive just a bit further, you can find longer parking. Prices were decent, tho not cheap, but fair, especially for the quality. All in all, the standout was definitely the staff, so hardworking and attentive. I'll be coming back for sure!

Tacos & Quesadilla

We were around the area and decided to stop by here for lunch. It's a small taco shop, but plenty of patio seating. I got to try 2 carne asada tacos, and my bf got a quesadilla a lengua taco. It didn't take too long to receive our order, so service was pretty efficient. The tacos are on the more "pricier" side compared to street tacos, maybe because these are considered more gourmet or so? Although, I wouldn't really say it's not as premium. The guac that they had with the taco was pretty nice. The carne asada cuts on the taco were thicker than usual, has a smoky flavor to it which was pretty nice. Tacos were pretty standard. I tried my bf's quesadilla and it honestly tasted more like a cheese taco than a quesadilla. The proportions don't seem to be quite right for a quesadilla since there was more meat and less cheese. Overall, it was not bad. Personally, I feel like Tacomasa gives me more Americanized taco vibes. I don't really feel the authenticity here, but it's pretty decent. Nothing too special.

Really good experience. Their place has a simple menu, and I appreciate how hard they try to present the hole in the wall type of atmosphere in an area like Brea. The service is solid and they walked the singular asada taco up to my table, which was nice. The taco itself was so good. For around $5 I got a pretty hefty taco with a ton of meat. Had a good mix of flavors. I'd definitely come back for a larger order.

Craving a breakfast burrito and got the adobada supreme. Flavor was so good but not sure if there was sour cream. Restaurant was clean and service was good

Asada tacos - deluxe trio

Stopped by this place for lunch and ordered the deluxe trio asada tacos, and I was really impressed. It looks like they opened not too long ago, so this is a newer taco spot. The staff was extremely friendly from the moment we walked in, and the restaurant itself was very clean. What I really appreciated was that the staff allowed us to sample the different meats before ordering, which made it easier to decide since they offer several options. I ended up going with the classic asada and ordered the deluxe trio option. The portion size was huge compared to the traditional tacos. I was honestly full after about one and a half tacos, so if you're not a big eater, two tacos will definitely be enough. For most guys, I think the deluxe trio is the perfect amount. The meat was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. They also provide a sauce of your choice, and you can request a side of jalapeños, which I absolutely loved. Another thing I liked was that the cooking area is behind a glass wall, so you can watch the chefs cook live. I thought that was very transparent and reassuring. The staff was constantly cleaning and maintaining the area, which really stood out to me because a clean environment is so important when you're eating out. I really hope the quality and overall experience stay consistent. Sometimes restaurants are great when they first open, but quality can drop over time. That said, I absolutely loved this taco place and would definitely return. Amazing quality, generous portions, and very friendly staff. Love this place.

Service was great! Elote was warm and delicious. My chicken tacos were good as well. A bit more seasoning would have sealed the deal. My son loved his crispy fries. Everything was really clean and service was great. I'm giving 4 stars because I had to keep asking for napkins and salsa. I would prefer for napkins to be somewhere where I can get them myself and preferably a salsa bar. I wanted more lime but didn't want to bother them asking for things. But other than that everything was great! Great location and friendly staff

I stopped by to grab some tacos before a comedy show at The Improv. There's a free parking structure just a short walk away and the area has plenty of restaurants, stores, and a movie theater. I ordered the taco combo, which comes with 2 tacos, a small side of rice and beans, and a small drink. I went with 2 adobada tacos and a jamaica. They also offer other aguas frescas like horchata and pepino con piña. The tacos were good and hit the spot before the show! The staff was friendly and even offered samples of the meats to help me decide what to order which I appreciated!

Great addition to downtown Brea! There's limited street parking and a parking structure available. There used to be a long line when they first opened, but it's not too bad anymore. I came on a Saturday around 6:30 PM and there was no wait. There's some seating inside, but more outdoor seating available. I usually order the following: Taco Combo - comes with two tacos, rice and beans, and a small drink for $13.95. Totally worth it because you can choose any drink including horchata and agua frescas and get refills. Asada Fries - $14.95 comes with sour cream, Guac, cheese, and salsa. Love how crispy the fries are. Service is also good! Many places charge extra for salsa, but love how they don't do that here. Also, tacos are a little pricier but they're big. Overall, highly recommend!

If you love delicious and authentic tacos in the area, I highly recommend this place. I got the asada and adobada tacos and they're really delicious, with plentiful salsa and guacamole. I would definitely come back to try other choices on their menu! Overall, prices are decent, credit cards are accepted, and there's parking available (in nearby structure and street parking).

Delicious TJ style tacos and aguas frescas in north OC area. Staff were all welcoming and answered our questions about different sizing available. The restaurant has plenty of open area seating that faces the street/downtown area. This is our third time coming here; being close to home, it makes an easy stop for weeknight dinner.

This place has become my son and my favorite place to eat on the weekends. In his words, " I can't believe we have such authentic Mexican food in downtown Brea". I LOVE LOVE LOVE agua frescas-and they have plenty to try! WATERMELON The quesadillas, burritos, and tortas have all been amazing...and the employees are all really sweet.

Horchata
Maria I. C.

First time trying this place! Ivan was awesome in taking our order so shout to him. The Horchata is to die for. It is a little loud in here with the music but I don't mind it. You can always find a spot outside. You can see them cooking and preparing each dish. The best part is they also make tortillas for certain dishes. You can also special request they handmade them. My taco and mulita de asada were bomb!! I don't have to drive to LA for authentic tacos anymore. The food is fantastic and a great addition to North OC.

They also have a large covered outdoor patio with ceiling fans. I had the taco and enchilada combo ($14), with a carne asada taco (+$1) and a shrimp enchilada (+$3.50) with green sauce. The plate also comes with rice and pinto or black beans. You order at the register, and your food is delivered to your table. The enchilada was great, filled with perfectly grilled shrimp, and a nice layer of gooey cheese on top. There was extra cheese on the plate above and below the enchilada which made it even better. The green sauce was great and had a very mild heat. They don't skimp on the tacos here. Two flour tortillas hold a ton of flavorful carne asada and it is topped with lettuce and pico de gallo. They have a great salsa bar, and I always enjoy the salsa verde and some lime wedges with my tacos. The rice is light and fluffy, and I drench it with salsa verde. I usually don't care much for beans. The last time I had lunch here, the pinto beans were very watery and bland. This time, they were much better and I ate almost all of them. There was a lot of extra green sauce from the enchilada on the plate which helped. The woman at the ordering register was very friendly and wished me a great day. The gentleman who delivered my food and cleared my table was also very pleasant. This plate is a little on the expensive side with the premium upgrades ($23.50 after tax and tip), but it was delicious and very filling.

You ordered and then sat wherever. I liked that they have a salsa bar. A lot of places took theirs out during the pandemic and never put it back. The food was served to me. Tacos were quite nice. Not quite authentic Mexican but not American style either as it didn't have that fish taco sauce they always put on it. This was somewhere in between. I like the small menu as it only has fish tacos and burritos and shrimp and beef and chicken. They also had bowls too. I guess this would fall under fast casual but the food did take a little time to come out. It looks like they're doing everything right. No complaints here. I will be back.
