The food, service and ambiance were amazing! It was our first time, but decided to stop by for lunch to celebrate my birthday. The location did not disappoint. Manny was our server and frequently checked up on us. Our drinks and food were delicious. Not only did they bring out complimentary chips and salsa out immediately, they gave us a sampler of a dish they are wanting to add to their menu. I hope they my do! This place is deteriorating. Service is, and has always been, great. Food has been hit or miss and lately it's more miss than hit. Servers mentioned that they have a new cook, well...time to rehire the old ones or hire new ones. Gobernador tacos I ordered today were terrible. Big chunks of shrimp, rather than smaller ones, and not much flavor. Every thing I've eaten as of late has been the same: bland tasting or not fully cooked. I know there's new owners, and I've met them and they are nice, but I hope they see this and make changes because I really like their employees. Also, drinks are excellent. This restaurant just reopened with new management. It was actually our first time in and we had a great experience. We were greeted upon entering and Mara was our server. She was very attentive and the rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The ambience in the restaurant had a nicer upscale bar feel. Lots of TVs playing football throughout and Latin dance music was playing when we were there. Sound was perfect, not too loud as we were able to have a conversation. They have a great variety in their menu and fun cocktail drinks. We LOVED everything we got! Shared the Surf & Turf Molcajete which was a big portion. The flavors were pretty delish and shrimp was cooked perfectly. Not to mention it was beautiful presentation. Mangoneada was so tasty! I got it blended. Toxicata cocktail their take on the Adios drink And we got the churros - we asked for both the Marzipan and Cinnamon. They were tasty but I wouldn't say they tasted fresh or amazing. She is great at perfecting cocktails, they're never too strong never too sweet never to anything they're perfect. And her and Brandon tonight were Rockstars with our party of eight at the bar! We sat at the bar and tried the Gauva and Tamarindo margaritas, margarita flight, the mezcal and whiskey old fashioned, the pineapple and mezcal margaritas, and the micheladas. The michelada mix, as well as the cucumber and Tamarindo purées are made by Cristian - an extremely talented bartender who works Friday evenings and brunch hours. Unlimited mimosas available for 90 minutes during weekend brunch hours ($23). DJ spins reggaeton and modern hip hop Friday evenings and during brunch hours. HH offered M-F from 2pm-6pm with $8 margs and $5 shots. We shared the molcajete, which was spicy and delicious. Service was top notch. We were constantly checked on. Cocktails are delicious and wanting you want to go for more and that why they won Best Margaritas in Placentia. my husband and I went in for dinner tonight after not being here since they first opened. We did not like the food before because it was so spicy way too much for us. I was encouraged by the owner to give it a try again because they had revamped the menu. The food was absolutely delicious. It was not as spicy, but it was super flavorful. This place is way better than the last place that was in this shopping center. Stopped by today to see if they have Taco Tuesday and they do! Beer was $3.50 tacos $1.85 from 3-6pm on Tuesdays. Another cool thing is they have a DJ on weekends and some nights. I am 100% coming back to this place. Don't listen to the reviews talking trash on this place. The ambiance and decor is great, especially for date night or just getting together with friends. There's plenty of bar seating. There's a patio in the front and a patio in the back. The service was fast, fun and friendly. I recommend coming to this place especially if you're a young adult or just in your forties like me. I wouldn't recommend children to come. I was looking forward to eating here as I have seen and heard good things. My wife and I went there to order some food to go and paid $37 for a Birria Ramen and California Burrito. I was quite surprised that even for that price they still could not deliver a satisfactory result. The customer service inside the restaurant was great and helped us as we needed. They prepared the food fairly quick as well given the amount of people at the time of ordering. There were 2 things that were bothersome 1st was the Birria Ramen had very little meat and more of the Ramen. I would have expected at least half and half to say the least given paying near $20 for it but with this it made the Ramen less enjoyable where I could have paid near half the price for more birria meat and same amount of ramen that they provided. 2nd, the California Burrito was a good amount of size but the issue I ran into was It was suppose to have fries in the burrito and what I came across was it tasted like it was just potatoes and not fries. If I had known this I would have saved my money and eaten elsewhere. If I do ever come back here It will have to be a special occasion and under the pretense I intend to order for dine in and something else off the menu. read more

One fish, one, alpastor and one stake the fish tasted like it was frozen tilapia from the grocery store and the Pastor was dry and tasted stale and left over and it was not impressed with the steak otherwise the ambience was great and I didn't get a chance to see this place busy since I was waiting for them to open at 11 AM, but the tacos were not special by any means The bartender asked me how everything was, and I was straight up with him I told him his service was exceptional but the tacos left me gagging I was super hungry and did eat them all read more

Wow, I'm very surprised about the negative reviews here. We had a great experience. TacosWay is very well decorated, great ambiance, great service and great food. I met some friends here for a late lunch early dinner, it wasn't very crowded, there is seating on the front patio, inside and out in a back patio. We all tried something different and all loved our meals. One of my friends ordered a mojito that wasn't to her liking, she sent it back and they gladly remade it for her. Under staffed. Inattentive service. We really wanted to try this place. The ambiance is cool, and the food and drinks looked modern and fresh. But when we went, there was one server and one bartender who was doubling as a server. No one even acknowledged us when we entered, and they didn't acknowledge us until about 10 minutes after we were sitting waiting to be seated--even though they walked by us several times. There was another party sitting and waiting to be seated too, also not acknowledged. We decided to leave because if no one took the time to even say, "We'll be right with you." 10 minutes after we arrived, then we assumed the service would be poor throughout. I'd love to try this place eventually. Hopefully they staff properly soon. Their staff seemed over worked and burnt out, and I can't blame them. read more

But right when we walked in, the music was totally like a total dance place, playing all old fast late 1990's jams. The music would be better just at a bar area, but it didn't seem right trying to eat dinner to it. The service was good, very attentive. But music totally messed up the dinner vibe. We all thought the same thing. But food was good. Maybe if they changed the music to restaurant "eating music" it would be more comfortable. I hope this makes sense. read more
