Why are y'all avoiding this place?! The vibe is great, they've toned down the loud music so you can talk now - at least when I was there the last few times. Otherwise, it can be annoyingly loud. The drinks are great - Christian, Brandon or Heather will hook you up with a nice Margarita or anything else you fancy. Chips and salsa was good. The Birria platter is the best - they do not skimp on that tasty birria - you get a big taco, street taco, tostadita, and tacosway. The consome is so flavorful and not greasy - I love spooning and eating the chickpeas from the console. 4 excellent salsas provided with the dish. My next fave is the Quesabirria Tacos, omg. I usually enjoy my eats at the bar so the service is always great and you get to watch them make the drinks. read more

Wow, I'm very surprised about the negative reviews here. We had a great experience. TacosWay is very well decorated, great ambiance, great service and great food. I met some friends here for a late lunch early dinner, it wasn't very crowded, there is seating on the front patio, inside and out in a back patio. We all tried something different and all loved our meals. One of my friends ordered a mojito that wasn't to her liking, she sent it back and they gladly remade it for her. First let me start off by saying most of the time I come here by myself after a long day and I feel SAFE!!! I can actually sit at a restaurant and bar alone and be comfortable. That's one of the main reasons I come here. I moved here alone in 2020 and just wanted somewhere to grab a drink and food. The staff made me feel at home so I decided to keep coming back. I love TacosWay! I absolutely love the staff and drinks. The service is great! They have specials Monday-Friday and Brunch on Saturday and Sunday which I love . On the weekends they also have a DJ. The outside patio is a vibe and I love the manager. Every time I go either it's packed or slow she's always very friendly and recommending me to try something new on the menu that I haven't tried before. The ambiance is nice especially at night. Welcome to the OC "Quieres tacos way!" Dined here this past Friday and it was bumping! They just opened October 24th so I went in expecting a few kinks as with all new business openings. We waited about 30 minutes until being seated. We were seated in the back patio where it was really dark. The host made note of it and said they were working on getting the lights on, it eventually turned on after 20 minutes of being seated. Our server was really attentive and made sure to always refill our complimentary chips and salsa along with waters. Food and drinks: You want a lit grand presentation then I recommend the margarita sampler for $25. They have a ton of flavors to pick from but you only get 5 so choose wisely. I honestly couldn't decide so I had our server pick the best 5. Loved the Mexican candy lollipops and cotton candy that garnished the flight-so good! I ordered the Birria plater $14.99- I just recently got hooked on birria so I consider myself a "novice" when it comes to birria. However, I thought the beef was cooked to perfection and it just melted in my mouth. I was honestly pleased with this dish and it was filling but not overbearing that you couldn't finish it. My hunny ordered the tacosway platter $14.99 in carne asada. He was disappointed that his tacos were burned badly and really took away from the taste. He wasn't impressed. However, it did come with rice and beans and he enjoyed the sides. Overall, the food was solid and the drinks are fun! The only ding is the burnt tacos and the wait. It took about 30 minutes to get my sampler and an additional 45 minutes for food. Our server was trying to compensate by refilling constant chips and salsa and providing her reassurance that our food is coming. I give her mad kudos, wish I got her name! Otherwise, really cool place and recommend. Like I said, it's a new spot so they still got a few kinks to workout, but I enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back! Side note-they replaced the former restaurant salt an ash. It honestly seems like they didn't change the restaurant inside or outside just the name. I wasn't over the moon with Salt an Ash so I think this a better spot in regards to food and service. read more

Went yesterday for brunch with the girls- shocked it wasn't busier- it was SO good and the service was excellent. I got the Chilaquiles Roja (I think it was called) and the portion was so large I was able to air fry the leftovers today. Will definitely go back. Training, Training, Training! So much potential, so greatly disappointed by lack of staff training. 1. The hand held gizmo that the waiter uses to take the order seems to be kicking their butt. It took many tries to get our order correct, and ultimately, what landed on our table was not what we ordered. 2. We got chips immediately, but it took over 20 minutes to get waters served, and that was after I got up and approached the bar to get waters directly. This is a Health Hazard. A restaurant manager should know to never serve chips without water or something to wash down a stuck chip. Its just common sense! 3. Its a small place, maybe 60 feet, it doesn't take much effort to look around and see if someone needs a refill. Spend the effort to look! 4. The food is good, but pretty inconsistent from one visit to the next. It appears that the on-duty cook has a lot of liberty on how to fulfill the menu. That is not the creativity I am looking for! 5. The portions are small and cost a premium. You have to REALLY like the food to put up with the slow speed, poor service, and high prices. I do like the food, but my family does not like it enough to warrant further visits. Now I only get to go on the occasional business lunch. read more

I'm here to talk about their BIRRIA RAMEN! I first visited on a Wednesday night and the service was very attentive and fast. My boyfriend and I sat in the back patio with the heater right beside us, and it felt very comfortable considering it was 63 degrees outside. Anyways, back to my review about the food. We ordered the birria ramen and it was scrumptious. They gave us so much meat, the soup was thick, the noodles were soft, and the broth itself was extremely flavorful. It's not spicy too for those that aren't into spice...you will barely taste it. I would love to order this again because this is what birria should taste like. We live down the street, so we regularly walk here with our kids and it's all of our favorite Mexican place. The food is so good. The staff is great (Christian is the man). The vibe is awesome. Met up here for some drinks before going to Los Angeles for the clippers bucks game. And I really enjoy the vibe in here. Music blaring as you walk up to the front. Seating area in the front patio, there's more seating in the back patio and even on the side of the place. Large bar inside which is where we sat and multiple other tables inside. Nice party atmosphere. The DJ was putting out some great beats. Had the whole place bumping and moving and having a really good time. Since I ate an early lunch (brunch?) I just had a drink, which was their la toxica. The picture of it was beautiful, caufght my eye, this deep bright blue drink with a mixture of different alcohols in it. Tasted great. Nice and heavy handed with a whole bunch of liquor in it. Pictures online shows it comes with a strip of sour candy garnish. Mines didn't have one.... but in all fairness the picture of it in their menu didn't have the sour candy garnish either. Also had some chips and guac which were surprisingly not that great. No flavor to the gauc, chips needed more salt. I usually like the thin crunchy type with some oils on it that leaves a residue on the paper, but these weren't it. A lime wedge would've even worked. We were done and about to leave. But got into a conversation about the Don Julio 1942 tequila, and how it's one of the top tier tequilas. So knowing that I was curious to try it. Ended up having 1.5 shots of it (my buddy was driving and couldn't finish it). It was about 35 or 39 per shot. Turned out that was a huge mistake. As I felt sick afterwards and so extremely tipsy. I think it was probably due to all the mixture of alcohols I had in a short period of time. I know.... rookie mistake. On a side note, after vomiting an hour or so later, I felt fantastic!!!! But I guess you really can't blame the place for mixing drinks and then getting sick afterwards. Great atmosphere. Good drinks. Love the music. I would love to come bqck here and try some of their foods and other drinks. But definitely not mixing drinks like that ever again. read more
