Came for a pizza dinner on a Sunday evening with my two boys. The restaurant was busy but the line moved quickly. Ordered a large pizza with half of the pizza no toppings (one kid is picky). They let me know up front it'd be about 25 mins given the number of orders; no problem, arcade games to pass the time! Kids enjoyed the air hockey and video games. Pizza came out with toppings on the whole pizza instead of half. Worker apologized and stated chef was going to fire up a plain cheese real quick. I said it's no problem as I can pick off the toppings but they insisted and gave us a medium cheese pizza on the house. Really nice snd friendly service going the extra mile. I just ordered delivery. The last two times I've ordered I've been disappointed. The chicken tenders are much smaller than they used to be, and for some reason, they are now cutting them in half. The warm Italian sandwich was so good, I don't care for ham so asked for turkey instead and they were more than happy to accommodate my taste. Halloween night at a pizza place is going to be crazy busy so I was prepared for the wait. The staff was overwhelmed, didn't seem that anyone was in charge and people were waiting a long time for their orders even when they ordered in the morning. As I was waiting for my online order to be ready I noticed that one of the workers was preparing the pizzas without using gloves. I'm not one to be overly concerned about this, if bare hands briefly touch the food they are preparing I'm not too worried. But to have someone's bare hands dipping into the cheese and the various toppings to build the pizza does not seem like a good practice. Even the guy stretching the dough had gloves on. But I brushed it off, ate the pizza and we all got sick. Learned my lesson. read more

I haven't been to Pepz Placentia in awhile, but recently came here in hopes of having a fun family night. Sadly, our pizzas were overly hard and burnt, plus the environment and service were terrible. The cashier who helped us seemed very annoyed when it took awhile for us to decide on our order. Also, at one point an entire baseball team came in and were rude, loud and kept hovering over our table and food. It was so bad that we barely got a chance to eat before feeling so frustrated that we had to leave. When I shared what happened with the owner, he literally blew me off for months. At one point, he offered me a very minimal discount on a future visit, which was downright insulting considering I'm not planning on returning. What a shame, considering I was hopeful the new ownership would be an improvement, but it actually seems like Pepz has only gotten worse. read more

We went to Pepz pizza (732 N Rose Dr, Placentia, CA 92870) for the very first time at the recommendation of a friend. We were so pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the place and more importantly the quality of the pizza's we ate. We ordered a meat lovers and a veggie lovers pizza on a thin crust. The pizza was so flavorful and delicious. The pizza dough was so soft and tasty and the ingredients were also so fresh. The staff was very friendly and courteous and attended to our request attentively and efficiently. The pizzas came to us in a timely manner and hot and tasty. In addition to tasty food, the area was very clean and inviting with large screen TV everywhere for the patrons to enjoy. There was also a play area for the kids that kept them busy. Lastly, the toilets were also very clean. This experience was excellent and we will definitely be back again here very soon. I came to Pepz after not coming for a couple years because of a bad experience I had. With the end of the soccer season, I decided to give them another try. For sports team events, they offer free pizza and drinks for the team, which is a really great deal! The customer service was amazing and the food was delicious as well. The arcade area is perfect to keep the busy long enough for the duration of the party and the prices for the arcade games are not too much like some other places. From the moment I arrived with my son, she came up to the cash register to greet us and asked if we were ready to order or had any questions but in a casually warm and special way. As I started ordering items a-la-carte, she asked if I wanted one of the combo deals instead that would include everything I wanted and more for just a few extra dollars. I asked for recommendations in which Esperanza was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She sold me on the value deal upgrade. This might seem like all normal things a good server should be doing but that's not true, especially nowadays. I don't usually take the time to leave a review, good or bad but Esperanza deserves recognition. She was running around that night serving a full house by herself from the bar, to the cash register, to bringing things out to the tables. She was super friendly, fast, and attentive to all. I don't know how, but, she did an excellent job accommodating and taking care of an unexpected large party. To the owner: You are very lucky to have yourself a superstar employee.
