My son likes the food better here where as I am still partial to Tacos Los Cholos maybe because of the whole outside grill and the portions and salsas. However the nice guy at counter didn't offer me the cheese or pepper on my tacos and for a first timer it would been to say. In terms of quality - I got a burnt to the bone piece like charcoal when eating my fish taco so was not expecting a hard crunch like a stone in rice. I felt quantity of meat was def less than Tacos Los Cholos but at similar prices from what I remember but I have not been to Los Cholos in almost 6 months to a year probably so I have no idea how much food costs there anymore. I don't understand why a baked potato costs so much money.

Entering this restaurant makes it seem like I got transported into a hacienda. The ambiance is great, the lighting truly makes it seem like youre home? If that makes any sense. The food was quick and the service was immediate. The salsa bar had various sauces and topping to complete your food of choice. Our server/cashier, Michael, was great and made me aware of the deal they had going regarding agua frescas. The loaded potato was very soft and whatever cheese they used was amazing. The only reason for a 4/5 star was just due to the sticky tables. The amount of people who come in and "fight" for these tables warrants the tables to not be wiped as frequent.

Always a delight to eat here! I seem to always order tacos because they are so good and there is a nice selection of charcoal grilled tacos that include: Pollo Adobada Chorizo Asada Arrachera Cecina Costilla Pork belly Tripas Filet mignon Ribeye Pescado Cararon Pulpo Mushroom Panela

As soon as you walk in you are greeted with the tantalizing smells of grilled meat. A fantastic menu with options like pulpo (octopus) and arrachera along with all the usual favorites. We got asada, adobada and arrachera tacos with cucumber lime aguas frescas recommended by the lovely Daisy up front. Absolutely amazing food and it will be the go to spot. I'll be back for the chilaquiles burrito!

This place ranks a solid 4 stars in my book. The food is good, but I do think the pictures on the menu tend to hype up flavors that are slightly lacking. I tried four different tacos and a mini Mexican pizza. The filet mignon taco had great flavor, with extremely tender, soft meat. The taco de arrachera followed suit and didn't disappoint. Although these tacos were well seasoned, they still required toppings to elevate the flavor--chili, onions, cilantro, lime, etc. The pulpo taco was my favorite item I ordered. The octopus was super soft and chewy--exactly what you would expect texture-wise. Adding toppings like pickled onions and salsa made this taco especially enjoyable. When ordering the tripa taco, the cashier specifically asked if I wanted the meat crispy or non-crispy. I chose non-crispy. However, when I tried the taco, the meat was hard. Much of it was overcooked, and I felt like I was chewing on a piece of charcoal. I don't know if my order was prepared incorrectly or if this is what they consider non-crispy. If that's the case, I'd hate to taste the crispy version. I can't fathom the meat being any more burnt than it already was. Again, toppings were a must on this taco--they helped dilute the overwhelming charred flavor. Lastly, the Mexican pizza. I ordered mine with arrachera. The presentation looked amazing, but the flavor was simply good. It comes loaded with toppings--sour cream, guacamole, onions, cilantro, and more. Perhaps the abundance of toppings overwhelmed the palate. I'm not entirely sure. Would I come back? Definitely. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Do I think some menu items could use a little more pizzazz or a few slight refinements? Unequivocally. The cashier was friendly, knowledgeable, and able to recommend popular menu items. The ambiance was relaxed, with Hispanic music playing in the background, creating a chill atmosphere. Also of note you're paying for primecut meat. So expect to pay up. Lol

The Mini Mexican Pizza is soooo delicious! My son and husband had the surf and turf burritos and both left NOTHING behind! They absolutely loved their choice. This was a random find-we are so glad we found it! Daisy was super nice and helpful with explaining the menu. We will definitely be coming back!!

I first came by Primecut Taqueria because I had heard that it was similar to Tacos Los Cholos. There is apparently some drama involved between the two but that's really none of my business. After a few visits, I can say that I like Primecut about as much as I like Los Cholos. FOOD The quality is good. I've tried the Asada, arrachera, and shrimp. I've tried their taco, quesadilla, burrito, and potato. Everything was good SERVICE Over several visits, all of the different staff members were professional and nice. DINING ROOM There is a good mix of dining table sizes and I like how the condiment bar can be accessed from both sides. PARKING There is a shared parking lot in front of the restaurant and also another one in the rear. Parking wasn't a problem for me.

Just walking in to this place was a great experience, the line to order is divided by a half wall away from the tables. The art and interior design is trendy with still keeping the Mexican home feel, the menu and kitchen all looked clean along with the dining area. I got the quesadilla de al pastor and my friend got the Harrachera torta both were delicious in flavor and packed with meat! The salsa bar was super clean and well labeled and organized. I tried them all and all of them were really flavorful That spicy habanero has amazing taste but when they say spicy it's SPICY!!! so try at your own risk lol Definitely will come back to this place

I expected for a rib eye $9 taco is to get an amazing flavor, what a sad dinner for almost $30 for a chewy disgusting rib eye. These napkins are full of chewy rib eye, impossible that they're using rib eye or prime cut. NEVER AGAIN

Agua Fresca, cucumber and lime - refreshing

I was craving some tacos recently and heard about Primecut on social media not too long ago, and had to try them out. I went for lunch on my first visit, enjoyed what I ordered, and can't wait to go back to try more of the menu. As you walk up to the cashier and glance at the menu, you can see the flaming grill action in the kitchen, where all the meats and other foods are prepared. I ordered a couple of tacos and sides. I went for the premium meats like Arrachera (outside skirt steak) and Costilla (chopped beef ribs). Both meats were flavorful, cooked well, and piled generously on the tortillas. I ordered the rice-and-beans side, and both were delicious, especially when adding more ingredients from the salsa bar. Highlights: - Flavorful, mesquite-grilled meats and plenty of offerings on the menu - The variety of salsas and condiments bar is solid - Taco Tuesday deals - Indoor and outdoor seating - Chill atmosphere and pleasant decor - A few TVs to watch sports - A few more locations in the OC The staff was kind, and the service was efficient. We got our dine-in order within 5-10 mins. The dining area and salsa bar were clean and tidy. We arrived around 1 pm, so we missed most of the lunch crowd. Price-wise, it's a bit on the premium side, but it's still a nice treat once in a while. They also add a small fee for card payments, so I prefer to pay with cash when I can. 4.5/5 Rating overall.

The other half of my lobster burrito
David T.

I have been here a few times. Their selection here for food is legit. I tried yet another first time for me which was their lobster burrito. I asked the gentleman behind the counter to explain to me what was inside it. So he did. I asked him can I add pulpo to it, he said sorry that would be it. Ok so I did just that. The burrito came. It had tons of lobster meat on it, pico de gallo, rice and beans and their sauce. I sliced the burrito in half because I thought that it was too big for my appetite that night. I took my first bite and boom. I was picking up pieces of my brain from the table. My head exploded on how good this thing tasted. The combination of the insides of the burrito was a match made in heaven. Every bite I made, caused even more damage because of how good this thing tasted. My jaw was on the floor, my tastes buds partied. Time for me to eat the other half because I didn't want to end this overwhelming sensation. This lobster burrito was one of the best tasting thing I have ever tasted. At $33? , it was worth it. Go try it! You'll know what I'm talking about

The Surf & Turf Burrito and Papa - Potato with Adobada
Erika H.

The service was so wonderful and the lady taking our order was so nice! The food was absolutely smashing! We had the Papa with Adobada and the surf and turf burrito. The papa was so good that the burrito paled in comparison so if you're in between the two, pick the potato! Also the vibes here are great with comfy seats and TVs turned on to soccer!

The food was OK, for the Tuesday special you get three tacos for $7.89 I think. I ordered two beef and one chicken and the total came out to $11. I asked the gal and she said it has to be all the same tacos. You can't mix them up. I looked at the menu and nothing was printed nothing was under the specials that said that there was nothing at the register that said that so I was a little confused. The portion that they give of the meat was very good. The bar where they have the sauces, onion, cilantro and lime was plentiful. The restaurant was a little crowded, but that's to be expected right before lunch and on a Tuesday for the specials. Overall, it was an OK experience not something I would hurry up and go back for but decent.

When I first came, I was really impressed by the flavor of their pastor and by the salsas they make. Since then, I've realized the quality can be a little bit hit or miss. The meats especially can vary a ton in quality depending on when you go. I haven't really figured out if there's a pattern, but sometimes you can just tell the meat has been sitting cooked and is just reheated before eating. Since everything is just sitting on the flat top, it can also come out a bit greasy sometimes. On the bright side, the flavors are always on point. They offer just about any form factor you could want, and the prices are fair. At the salsa bar, they offer everything you could really want. They have a solid salsa verde and roja, but also have a creamy jalapeño salsa that goes super well on just about anything. I also like that they serve radishes and pickled onions at their salsa bar. Their aguas frescas are also great for the most part. Don't come here expecting freshly grilled quality meats like you might find at tacos Los cholos, but you also won't find the crowd and torturous parking here either.
