    CARNE ASADA BURRITO
    Annie L.

For a Sunday at 1:30pm it was crazy crowded. Like no personal space type of crowded. People would stand next to you and hover waiting for a place to sit, so overly crowded. Very small location, and parking is tough to get with paid parking everywhere. I do love the salsa bar, with variety of salsa options. The mild avocado salsa is the best! Also jalapeños and pickled onions available. The carne asada burrito comes with meat, beans and salsa. The churros are so warm, soft crunchiness and the glaze (condensed milk goodness) it comes with is heaven!

The Taco Stand is easily my favorite taco spot in the OC. Even when it's busy, the service is consistently quick, making it a super easy go-to. A huge highlight is that they actually include avocado on the tacos, which really sets them apart. They also have a great salsa selection at the bar so you can dial in the flavor exactly how you like it. Definitely a solid 5-star spot if you're looking for quality and efficiency.

I tried the Al Pastor taco, and for $5 (including tax and tip), it was a win. Al Pastor: The flavors were actually on point, so much so that I was ready to go back and order a second one. Salsa Bar: They have a self-service salsa bar where everything tasted fresh and well-made. The Experience: It's a straightforward, solid spot. The only thing is that the tables were not clean.

I was on a work trip and was looking for a place to eat for dinner. I found this place through Yelp. I ordered the Mar y Tierra fries. The fries had shrimp, carne asada, guacamole, cheese, chipotle sauce on top of fries. The fries were delicious, the shrimp and carne asada were cooked to perfection. The meats with the guacamole, chipotle sauce and cheese were the perfect combination with the fries. The meal was very filling and delicious. Customer service was great. The restaurant ambiance is customer service friendly. The menu has great selection on the menu. This is a great place to go for great tasting Mexican food.

Shrimp Burrito- Very good- 4 stars

The Taco Stand originated in San Diego, and made its way to Orange County in 2019. This location is in the Orange Circle next to Snooze AM Eatery. I tried their Shrimp Burrito $10.50. The service was good and our food came out quickly. The only thing about the shrimp burrito is it did not come with any beans or rice, just shrimp and cabbage, but the chipotle sauce was good. I look forward to coming back and trying their variety of tacos and quesadillas. This place has a straightforward menu with good food. They also have a salsa bar with condiments for your food. There is a lot of seating, but they get very busy at lunchtime and fill up fast. Happy eating! Yelp Review #5- 2026

Loved our entire experience here. Fast ordering, friendly service and good food. Came here on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. Got tacos and a quesadilla. Carne asada was so yummy, large bite size pieces and really good flavoring. Pastor was flavorful and juicy. The quesadilla was just as great as the tacos. Melted cheese and hand made tortillas, so good.

Parking is on the street but I found some okay on a Monday night. Indie is decorated nicely, I like the retro casual feel with high ceilings. I ordered the California burrito & the pastor taco. The California burrito was massive & delicious, I got some extra sour cream on the side & added some green salsa inside. The pastor taco was delicious as well. I liked the salsa bar. My friend got the carne asada fries & loved them. The staff were all very nice & friendly. The food did take around 20 minutes which wasn't bad but remember to be patient as they do hand make everything. Would definitely come back again.

In town for daughters gymnastics! Came here because a lady that was coming out told us we would referee not eating here. Disclaimer: we are from San Antonio, TX. We know tacos . My daughter has 2 Aplastot , my wife had a burrito, I had grilled pescado, and we had asada fries. I'm going to describe my experience as my daughter and wife inhaled there's ( must be good !!! :-) The grilled pescado tacos were cooked very well, seasoned, and a perfect portion for the corn tortilla. With a fresh cabbage and a light sauce on top. Had I not ordered the Asada Fries I would still be a little hungry ( I'm greedy though). The Asada fries where well seasoned with melted cheese and beef. I did enjoy the tacos here and it is a legit spot. Not Texas but it will do.

    Chicken Tacos
    Anna W.

I love the tacos here! I especially like that guac is included on both the chicken and carne asada tacos. The tacos were delicious, and the service was pretty fast even though this place gets busy. There's some seating inside, but it fills up quickly, so it can be hard to grab a spot during busy times. The only downside is that there's only one bathroom, which can be a bit inconvenient when it's crowded. Overall, the tacos tasted amazing and I'd definitely come back.

    Carne asada is dope

Tacos here are delicious and you can also swap to flour tortilla of corn is not your vibe. I usually get carne asada or mushroom tacos, and 2 tacos is pretty filling for me. The salsa bar can be slow depending on how packed it is. The portion cups are only so small and there's so much variety of items to get so line can get clogged pretty easily. They also do catering! My friend has catered for her baby shower before and can confirm the quality is just as good and holds up well.

I might just be a girl from the Midwest but this place has ruined all other tacos for me. Everything is made to order, including the freshly pressed buttery soft tortillas, so the line can extend out the door. During the weekends it's super busy, and seating can get *very* limited. Ambiance is casual and lively, lots of families and folks getting lunch while shopping or grabbing a weeknight dinner. I have not had anything else other than the tacos here, but I can and will speak for the tacos and I think they are truly some of the best around. I've tried the carne asada, al pastor, pollo asado, mushroom, and baja tacos and all are excellent. My personal favorites are the al pastor and mushroom. The al pastor has a slight crisp that is so satisfying and the textures are all *perfect* together. I love the unique mushroom one, it's a nice meatless option. The fresh churros are also not to be slept on, super warm and soft and served with condensed milk to dip in. Delicious. There's a self-serve salsa bar where you can try a variety of sauces from mild to spicy and get your own limes; I love the salsa verde and creamy cilantro salsa! The line moves slowly because the cups are small and there's only one bar, but you can stock up on your sauces while you wait for your order. They take your order at the counter pretty quick, so it's just waiting for your order to come out, but for me, the little wait is so worth it.

Great food and even better prices. Service is fast for everything being made fresh to order. Sauce bar is filled with good options and the quality of the food is so fresh! The tacos are filled with meat and the corn tortillas hold up well! Lots of seating throughout the restaurant but it gets packed quickly so be prepared to scout for a table or take it to go. Great fast casual setting and family friendly location. Can't wait to make this a staple in our food rotation.

The freshest homemade tortillas, meats and seafood, crispy chips, flavorful salsa and guac, coldest beers and phenomenal service. Earnesto always remembers our names and the whole team provides professional service with a smile. There's a reason why there's always a line at The Taco Stand...and why I eat here multiple times a week whenever I can!

Then we unexpectedly came across this super popular restaurant! The crowd alone caught our attention, so we decided to give it a try -- and I'm glad we did. Atmosphere: The moment we walked in, the vibe immediately stood out. It has a charming vintage feel, with beautiful natural sunlight pouring in, making the whole space warm and cozy. Perfect for a relaxing weekend brunch or a casual meal with family and kids. Here are the dishes we highly recommend: Guacamole & Chips Absolutely addictive. The guacamole was fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor. We couldn't stop eating it. Steak Plate The steak was cooked perfectly tender, and the juicy corn underneath soaked up all the delicious flavors. Every bite felt satisfying. Pulled Pork Tacos Super authentic Mexican-style tacos with rich layers of flavor. The combination of refried beans and avocado sauce made them even better. A few small notes: The restaurant was extremely busy, so the staff seemed a little overwhelmed at times. Service was okay overall, but understandable considering how packed it was. Coffee lovers: Their coffee leaned a bit on the sweeter side for us, so if you prefer less sweetness, it's worth mentioning when ordering. Overall, such a fun and lively brunch spot in Old Towne OC. Nothing pre-made, everything crafted fresh and customized to your liking, and you can absolutely taste the difference. It's tucked off Katella across from the TJ Maxx and Smart & Final center, with parking and entrance in the back. Once inside, you're welcomed by such a friendly team. The space has two dining rooms, a cozy bar at the entrance, and a cute little street-facing patio. We kicked things off with the Picchu and La Diabla cocktails. The Picchu was crisp, refreshing, and light. Super easy to sip. The Diabla had a subtle spicy kick that kept things interesting while still refreshing. For food, we started with the ceviche mixto without octopus, and wow. The citrusy lime flavors were bright and fresh, perfectly balanced with sweet plantain chips on the side. The portion was huge, easily enough for three to four people. Next was the mixed Lomo Saltado. It was packed with flavor, though the chicken leaned a bit dry for me. I would probably go all-in on the beef or shrimp next time. The shrimp were huge. Then came the ribeye tacos and I'm not exaggerating when I say I was in love. The beef was cooked to perfection. Juicy, tender, and every bite felt like a moment. We also ordered extra plantains because these flavors just call for it. Crispy, sweet, and so satisfying. My second drink, the Oye Mi Amore, was a standout for me. I love guava and this one delivered. Now let's talk about the experience because it really made the night. When another server came to box up our food, we didn't catch his name, but he turned a simple paper bag into a whole luxury experience and had us laughing nonstop. Our server then asked about dessert. Of course we said yes since it was date night. She surprised us with a complimentary churro. While we waited, she brought out tequila shots. Totally unexpected and so smooth. Then the churro arrived and it was unlike any I've had. Light, airy, and delicate instead of dense, with just the perfect sweetness. The whipped cream was soft and cloud-like and paired beautifully. As if that wasn't enough, she came back again with another round, this time in snifter glasses with a darker tequila that was rich and incredibly smooth. We never felt rushed. We were just genuinely taken care of the entire time. For the two of us, the total came out to $145, which felt more than fair for the quality and experience. We will 100% be back, and next time we are bringing family and friends. Huge thank you to the staff for making this such a fun and memorable night.

Wrapped in a large, fresh flour tortilla (they make their own in-house, which always helps), it's stuffed generously with the classics: fluffy Mexican rice, creamy refried or whole beans (depending on your preference, but both work great), chopped onions, cilantro, and a solid dose of salsa. I went with their green salsa for a bright, tangy kick that cuts through the richness perfectly, plus a dollop of sour cream and cheese for that creamy melt. No skimping on portions here--it's hearty and filling, easily a meal that satisfies for hours. At around $10 (give or take, based on current pricing), it's a great value in the area. The burrito holds together well without falling apart mid-bite, and the overall balance of textures--tender meat, soft rice/beans, crisp onions--makes every mouthful enjoyable. If you're in the mood for classic carnitas done right in a casual, bakery-taqueria spot with great salsas and a friendly vibe, this one's definitely worth grabbing.
