Look if there's anything I know I know good Mexican food why because I'm Mexican I eat Mexican food every day to me. I don't call it Mexican food. I just call it food cause that's what I eat for breakfast lunch and dinner so when I'm telling you that this place has some really good food trust me you want to come out and try it. Everything they have on the menu is bomb as fuck. Their drinks are bomb. The service is bomb. That's the reason I keep coming back all the way from the inland Empire to Orange to eat their food this is one of my favorite spots to come and join the rest of my family. We all come from different parts of Southern California just to eat here so if you're yelping and you're curious to know how good this place is stop it already just come in you won't be disappointed!! Writing this review is a little difficult because the place has potential, it just needs a few tweaks. To begin with, the place is SO loud it felt like I was in a club. Probably better for a nighttime gathering, but kind of threw off our brunch talking session. This is definitely a personal preference, but prepare to be extremely overstimulated. The place is absolutely gorgeous! Kudos to whoever did the interior decorating because everything is visibly pleasing. Even the presentation of drinks and food were great and "instagram-worthy". My friends and I did bottomless mimosas for $35 which is a fair price, but the rest of the menu was ridiculously overpriced. $15 Base for chilaquiles but it's a minimum of $7 to add protein (a very minuscule amount) AND an extra $4 just to add eggs?? Regular drinks were extremely tax as my friend's latte horchata was $12 and it was not good at all. The food was not bad, but the upcharging and skimpy portions definitely put this place on my "no" list. HOWEVER, if they just make minor tweaks with the volume, pricing, and food quantity it definitely could be a great place to go! There instruments sound amazing but the singing was not it. It would do better if they did everything without speakers The music they had on aux though was great, maybe they should stick to that. The good: everything we ordered was delicious from the chilaquiles options to the carnitas. The bad: it's incredibly loud between the live band and the background music. Service is very slow, and the servers don't feel a rush. There's also a pretty limited kids menu with no substitutions. Came here for my bday with my man and our two children. The place was chill for a Tuesday, we had the taco Tuesday special and the fish tacos were phenomenal. Definitely be back for those. We also ordered the gobernador tacos and those were mid. The music was chill for awhile and then they transitioned to live music which was not as fun as the reggaeton they were previously playing. But on the plus side, they don't charge for song requests, which is a nice surprise compared to other live music we've experienced at restaurants. Since we were celebrating for my bday, they offered a bday dessert but failed to tell my man that they were charging him for them so he ended up paying $20 for some mediocre cheesecake - being charged wasnt an issue but failing to let him not it's not complementary should have been disclosed. Our servers were great. Very attentive, very kid friendly and we overall enjoyed our short time there. Highly Recommend the fish tacos & the pitchers of Margarita but be aware that not all flavors are available in pitchers which is odd to me. This was my first time at this restaurant and I enjoyed it! The restaurant is brightly decorated with color, neon lights and portraits of people like Selena. Loved this! We ordered the margarita flight which came with peach, tamarindo,mango and strawberry. They are made well just a bit on the sweeter side. I ordered their chicken mole enchiladas that came with a side of their rice and beans. They were yummy. And I was actually surprised that their rice and beans were tasty. Overall I enjoyed my time here. It wasn't crowded at all during our 5:30pm reservation. We left around 7 and noticed the live music entertainers were just arriving. Celebrating a birthday at this location is keen to a good time. Rating 5 for service, food, hospitality all around 100%. What a day spent with family and friends over 2 dozens folks joined us to celebrate a phenomenal woman. I highly recommend the back room to reserve for a well deserved meal and less disturbance from the main dinning area. My sister got a great deal "special" to reserve the back room with private doors. That was a bonus. The supreme part of this day was our mother's smile. We decorated the side door with balloons and back drop and a classic photo of mother. Very intimate decorations. The back room has beautiful ceiling floral arrangements and you can't miss the big pink sign in the back wall. Pictures to follow. I dropped a point due to the ridiculous high charge for my michiladas. We paid $30 for 2 -16 ounce glass with a modelo cervesa, plus a tip. It tasted well but I was not going to buy another! $26 dollars for an old fashion that my hubby paid, is out of control. The drink did not have a burbon. Budgets for an events are everything but I probably wont go back due to how the cost of two drinks were close to 40 bucks. Also the bill for the event had an addition mandated 20% tip. If you want delicious, authentic, mouth watering Mexican food you have found the place. Me and my husband usually go for breakfast right when it opens and we have never had a bad experience. Alexis attended us and he was so sweet! I feel it's hard to find good customer service but everyone at Santo Remedio is welcoming and excels at making sure your dining experience is great. The cafe de olla and chilaquiles are to die for, and every salsa on the menu that I have tried is delicious. Our favorite is the Morita chipotle chilaquiles, you won't regret coming here! Came here for a girls dinner and we had SO much fun! We ordered the guac and chicharrones as an appetizer then octopus, carnitas and molcajete- all the dishes were tasty. Really big portions too, we could have definitely shared. They were also able to make vegan calabacita tacos (not on the menu) for our vegan friend, which we really appreciated! As soon as you walk in, the restaurant is beautiful. Beautiful flowers hanging from the ceiling and murals that highlight Mexican culture. Make sure to bring your camera to capture the ambience. My cousin chose this place for her birthday brunch. We came on a Sunday mid morning it's easy to locate and parking was not a problem. I thought the place was going to be packed since it was Valentine's Day, but on the contrary, it was actually very empty. Besides our table there was probably only 3 other tables that were taken. We also had ordered the queso fundido appetizer and it was brought out after the main dishes. They had a mariachi that was playing for about 30 minutes and they were decent...I think they were also probably wondering where was the Valentine's Day crowd ..they stopped playing shortly after..I'm not sure why, I wish they would have played longer. I noticed that they did a birthday singing and sparkle candle w/ mini piñata for birthdays so I asked the server to have it done for my cousin, well, I'm not exactly sure what happened because the server was MIA for a while and I'm telling you the place was very empty. When she finally showed up, she just showed up with a dessert but no birthday singing or sparkly candle or mini piñata. At this point, I was annoyed with the slow service and the fact that she ignored my request. I spoke to another waiter and I let him know that I had requested for the birthday singing and candle and he said no worries I got you a few minutes later he came out with a dessert and the candle. So I'm not exactly sure what happened there but definitely not a good first impression.
