Whenever we're feeling under the weather, albondigas from Cocina Azteca always hits the spot! It's so flavorful and comes in a generous serving packed with tasty meatballs, carrots, zucchini & rice on the side. When not under the weather, we typically get their green chicken enchiladas or their Al pastor nachos. Also, don't miss out on their avocado salsa and homemade tortillas!

Wet asada burrito, no rice with $4 extra worth of meat. Not worth it.

First time and last time here. Ordered a wet asada burrito with extra meat, which I was charged $4 for. The food was subpar, meat quality was not very good. And it was a complete rip off if that's $4 worth of extra meat. I would expect that amount in a normal burrito. Plus they don't use their air conditioning, and it was a hot one

I'm actually in a shock that I haven't written a review for this place. My husband and I have been coming here consistently for a couple of years now and we always love it! If you want consistently good Mexican food, you don't have to search anymore. Cocina Azteca is the place you need to be! You would think the food in a small strip mall is meh...but the food is bomb.com! We have eaten here for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and even sit in bed talking about how we're craving "the Mexican food down the street". When I make Mexican food at home, I always walk here to grab beans, rice and handmade tortillas. When I come home from work sometimes I grab bean, rice and cheese burrito. It's so simple, yet so cravable and satisfying. Their chips here are always fresh, the salsa is always tasty and fresh....I've had almost everything on the menu and you can't go wrong with anything! The only thing we haven't had is the buffet but we are going to try it soon! There are a few other Mexican restaurants within walking distance, and we've tried one....we were not enamored like we are when we come here. To top it all off, the owner and the waiters and waitresses are always super nice. This is home for us. You NEED to eat here!

I've always wanted to try this place and tonight was the night. I ordered online via Yelp and arrived to be greeted by a friendly staff member. He walked me through the menu and answered my questions. I ordered quite a bit to try a variety of things. Everything was really tasty and homemade. I loved the seasoned meats and beans and rice. The homemade tortillas were great too. The only item that was just ok were the enchiladas. They were dry. Overall, I will definitely be back! Thank you for the good service and tasty filling food!

Had lunch here today and I thought the food was very good. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals and these were literally the best potato tacos I've ever had (chips and salsa were good too). This little place is a casual eatery with an order counter. The gentleman working the register was very helpful and I'm disappointed that I didn't get his name. We will be back for lunch again soon.

Decided to try someplace new on Doordash and I'm so glad I did! Everything tried was soo yummy! Bacon breakfast burrito: So good with hash browns + bacon + eggs + beans + cheese -- the only negative was that it was a bit on the greasy side. Otherwise one of the best breakfast burritos I've had and might be my new go to place for them. Carnitas burrito: Much like the breakfast burrito, this burrito was sooo good! The carnitas was so juicy and I really liked the rice, beans, cilantro + onion combo. Both burritos are a good size and will fill you up. I plan to enjoy left overs tomorrow. Note: The burritos came with 2 salsas - the red one was a bit too spicy for me, but the green one hit the spot.

We parked across the street near an intersection with a stop sign. Our table inside had a nice view of the Placentia Water Tower, and it felt somehow relaxing to gaze at it in the distance. I ordered the pork carnitas ($18), which included pico de gallo, rice, refried beans with melted cheese, and three warm tortillas. The portion size was large, and I took a some carnitas home. While the carnitas were tender, they weren't as juicy as I hoped. They provided only three tortillas that lost their warmth quickly in parchment paper. The rice had a good texture that had the right amount of firmness. I also tried the guacamole, which had a somewhat fluffy texture with a pleasantly light and savory flavor. While not affecting my review of this restaurant, I wish they served a mole dish.

The food came out with onions, and the Bloody Mary never showed up at all. Kind of wondered why we even had to order and just let them bring out what they think you want or don't want. We also received some guacamole which we never ordered. WTF???!!!??? couldn't even get our order right. We were just forgotten as the bartender never came around to check anything.
