I discovered this spot because I was taking my mom to her Physical Therapy appointments across the street and I was really hungry one morning. It's a very nondescript location, you could drive by it 10 times before you noticed it, but once you walk in, it has a very warm homey feel to it. I'm always greeted with a smile and a hello and they seem to have quite a few regulars, because they call them by name when they see these customers walk in. Service - The staff (who I am assuming are the owners) are super friendly, again, greet everyone, and always open to making suggestions. If a place has breakfast burritos, I'm always down for that...so that's what I went with the first time, and every time after. When I asked about their Bfast burritos, the owner suggested that I get it with a spinach tortilla, a totally new option to me, but boy was I happy with it. I have gotten it every time since then. Parking - lots of parking available...it's very strip-mall-ish, but doesn't seem to be too busy. If this place was much closer to home, I'd come way more often than every other week or so! Today, my husband and I randomly came across Carmel café to have breakfast together before work and we were surprised on how many good reviews it had but so unheard of. After driving up to the parking lot in front of their café, we realize what a small, cute establishment it is and when we got inside and we see that it's a small family business, and that makes us even more excited to order and eat at a business like this, that we can help support in the community. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and my husband ordered the breakfast burrito with a spinach wrap and what's nice is that more and more places are starting to have alternative bacon or sausage options for us non-pork eaters so they had a turkey sausage that they can put into the sandwich and burrito and it was a great touch. They have a pretty extensive menu of breakfast items and lunch items with an array of coffee, tea drinks, as well as fresh pastries, and other yummy desserts that they make in house. I definitely want to go back just for a desert run. The food was actually really delicious and tasted fresh and the hot chocolate I got and the latte my husband got was definitely giving us our morning vibes. When we walked in, I noticed that it's definitely a small place, but their cutely painted walls and decor drew me in and made me feel homey! I eventually ordered a breakfast panini with bacon and an iced matcha latte with almond milk. It came out to around 16 dollars (19.22 with tip). I honestly think this is great pricing compared to other brunch spots in the area. It didn't take long for our drinks to come and my matcha latte was great! I'm usually a bit hesitant ordering matcha lattes at places that don't necessarily specialize in coffee/lattes, but it was great! My friend also got a chai latte and she thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Then our food came (very quick as well) and my panini was super yum! It was a good portion size and super warm (smoke was still coming from it LOL). My friends also got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and a chicken wrap and they both enjoyed their food, too. We also got some cake truffles that were super good! So many yummy pastry options were left that I didn't try but would love to in the future. My car was getting worked on down the way, so I walked over to Carmel Cafe and sat down for 2 special Americanos. Since I was going to have my beverages in house, they were served in a ceramic cup. And they were delicious...especially the one that was made with sugar free white chocolate mocha; I think that is what it was...I know it was something that most cafes don't typically have. Since I sat here for two coffees, I was able to see/smell the food. Customers having breakfast seemed happy and their breakfast burrito looked like something I must come back for. That being said, once I ate my first panini pressed breakfast burrito, I was hooked. These burritos fast-moved into being one of my top local choices. I am constantly recommending them to people who are asking what to cater for our office breakfasts. After that experience, I decided to go give the actual café a looksie for myself. Adorbs. So many healthy and fresh options, yet enough sinful to make it enjoyable for all. They are only open for breakfast and lunch Mon-Fri (8am-2:30pm), closed weekends and dinner time. I'm still a lover of those pressed burritos, but I've added the strawberry croissant to my list as well as the BLT sammie (complete with avocado). Everything comes out so fresh! There are many, many options for all taste pallets and dietary preferences too, they are accommodating. Besides their superb menu, they have custom bakery items too! Came in for lunch today. Pretty good food except I was in total laughter and shock at how cheap the owners are by the micro portion size of the side pasta dish they give with the sandwich. Bread was fresh and toasted nicely. When you get a side dish at just about any restaurant it's usually a smaller portion than normal but their side pasta portion is I SHIT YOU NOT 4 noodles. 4! Lol. Obviously the owners need the money more than me so I can just buy a full size order if need be. I know it's supposed to be smaller but dang 4 pastas! ROFL. I usually love coming here with their food, coffee and pastries being so good. And I know times are rough with Covid and all but dude seriously 4 pasta noodles. Came here again because the coffee was just too delicious to pass up. My boyfriend and I truly enjoy this place because you get to know the two girls up in the front. They make conversations with people, and they seem to enjoy talking to us. There were serval people who came in and the girls seemed to know them by name and what they're day was like yesterday.
