My experience at Nick the Greek was great! I've wanted to try this spot for about a year and a half now, but never got around to it. Went today to finally satisfy that craving I've had since I got it recommended to me, and was NOT disappointed. First of all, the service was awesome. The lady that took my order was very kind and helpful with menu choices, had a smile on her face, and had a friendly and outgoing demeanor. There's plenty of seating inside if you want to take a little bit of a break from moving around all day. The food here is great. I got the chicken souvlaki pita wrap, and my girlfriend got the lamb/beef gyro wrap. Both were really tasty. The meat in these is cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. The pita is soft and the sauce is really nice and complimentary. We do wish there was a bit more veggies in these wraps, as the meat can get rich and overpowering at times, but other than that, no complaints. Nick's fries are your classic loaded fries with sauce, feta, meat, and green onions. Their fries taste great on their own, and even better in these. The feta does get a bit overpowering but its not a complaint for me... I LOVE FETA. Overall, my experience at Nick the Greek was really positive. I'd give everything an 8.5/10. 100% gets a recommendation from me and I WILL be coming back! read more

I love Greek food. I've grown up in a Mediterranean family eating middle eastern food and it's always so tasty with hints of lemon, oregano, garlic, salty feta, tangy olives. I didn't get any of that from Nick the Greek today. I was a little worried when we entered and found the place empty right at lunch time. The service was great. The cashier made small talk and made suggestions. I ordered the souvlaki combo plate with all salad, no rice. The quality of the food was great. The portion size was acceptable, maybe a little overpriced for what I got, but acceptable. The presentation was nice too. The only issue I had was that it was a little (maybe a lot) too bland! Maybe it was a bad day, maybe next time I'll try the gyro. Maybe I'll bring some pepperoncini peppers or garlic sauce, or sriracha!! read more

I've been living in Fullerton for 5 years and have been wanting to try this place for a while. Today was that day! My husband ordered the Mediterranean bowl with steak and I got the beef/lamb gyro plate. The cashier was very good at explaining the differences between the Mediterranean and the Gyro bowl. The dining area is very clean and it was decently busy for 4:45pm on a Wednesday. I also got their pomegranate dragonfruit drink from the fountain. It was very good too. Bottom Line Up Front: This is my go-to spot for fast-casual Mediterranean food. The Food: I've tried at least two dishes from each category of food (wrap, plate, bowl, salad, etc.), and I have yet to be disappointed. My most commonly ordered dish is the Beef/Lamb Gyro, a classic Greek food that has everything you need in a meal (e.g. protein, veggies, and healthy carbs) -- plus, it's quite good. It's stuffed with fries, but I always take them out and score myself a "free side." However, I have found that the chicken in the chicken dishes (whether gyro, Souvlaki plate, etc.) is a tad dry. Still has good seasoning, but not as moist as I hoped. The Service: The employees here are all very polite, kind, and friendly. Excellent training all around. The Setting: It's located in a small strip-mall beside a Chipotle, Panda Express, and Verizon store not far from Cal State Fullerton. That means during peak season when school is in session or when the university is hosting a big tournament, the parking lot gets packed. It's made even worse because the stalls in the back are very narrow. Of course, this is not Nick the Greek's fault, but something to be aware of when you arrive. Also note that the restaurant itself is kinda narrow with limited seating. If you're with a big party or arrive at noon during peak school season, you might have a problem finding a seat. Fortunately, there are some outdoor seating at the nearby Chipotle, so you could always hop over there. The Reward Points System: I do have a complaint. If you join their club, you can rack up reward points that can be redeemed later for free items. When I first started coming here, they used a different system that would consistently not work. Now, they've switched systems, but it's still not app based; it's phone number based. So there's no way for me to truly check my points to see if it's accurate. Sometimes I enter my phone number when I order but I don't get a text message confirming my points. Kind of frustrating, especially since I'm a loyal customer. The Conclusion: If you're looking for a place that can balance the speed and convenience of a fast-food joint with the wider offerings and authentic tastes of a sit-down restaurant, Nick the Greek can be ideal. As long as you're not expecting a 3-star Michelin restaurant, it should satisfy your Mediterranean craving. read more

Second time at Nicks, first at this location. Gotta love that the quality of the food is too notch. Fresh and delicious. Between their meat dishes and sides, everything is good. I can only say that the meals are satisfying and filling, but they are a bit skimpy on hummus. If you want hummus order a couple sides. The downside to this location too is the crowdedness and parking. At peak hours it's a hot mess and close to CSFU, sonthe crowd will be here congesting all routes to get in and out of the area. read more

AMAZING!!!!! Been wanting to try this spot out for the longest. My son & I ended up sharing the gyro plate with fries. I did end up getting an extra side of pita and Taziki sauce. I was so excited to finally try this place!! I've had it bookmarked for a while. Unfortunately it fell short of our expectations. Service was quick and friendly, and our food was out within 10 minutes of ordering. We tried the gyro plate, Greek salad with chicken, nicks fries, and frozen yogurt. The gyro plate was a generous serving and included either fries or rice and a side salad. The Greek salad was also large, but the size of the cucumbers and tomato's were massive (I know this is similar to traditional Greek salads, but I had to cut almost all of them to eat them in one bite). The fries were a very large portion, enough to split between 2-4 people, with a generous portion of chicken. Though we found them to be quite salty and not much flavor between the fries and toppings. The frozen yogurt was good but extremely sour (Greek yogurt), we enjoyed this but others may not be excepting the sour taste - I liked the chocolate shell. I was hoping for more flavorful dishes, bursts of fresh ingredients and herbs, and I'm not sure I got that here. The restaurant also had a ton of empty boxes in the hallway on the way to the restroom, some were knocked over/almost in the way, maybe we came during a busy time and these were moved soon after. Overall, it was just okay, I'm not sure I would recommend or return after this visit. read more

Two people recommended this dessert of frozen yogurt with baklava. What I imagined was crushed baklava with soft serve vanilla. This was frozen yogurt like the tart Yogurtland or Pink Berry yogurt (the original froyo) and it was delicious. Not as creamy as the others, a bit icey, but still perfect level of tart. It went well with the honey syrup and baked phyllo crumbles on top. However (and it's a big error imo) there were no nuts in the baklava pieces!
