I usually love Panini Grill and count on them for consistent food and service, but my first visit to the Brea location today was a total mess. My friend and I had lunch on the patio and waited a solid 30 minutes just to get water. The service was painfully slow and careless; tables around us were left uncleaned, and when our food arrived, we had no utensils. After asking the food runner and waiting around while our meals got cold, my friend finally had to get up and track down silverware herself. When the waiter finally acknowledged us, he literally threw the utensils onto the table. Then, when we asked for extra napkins, he actually put his hand up to block us and just walked away. I was so shocked by the blatant rudeness that I called for the manager. While the manager apologized and gave us a free dessert, a sweet treat doesn't fix a total lack of professionalism. If employees hate being there that much, they shouldn't be working in hospitality! Management is also to blame by keeping them employed. When reading some of the other reviews, seems like service is really lacking here and the waiters have major attitude problems. I went with family at noon on a weekend, and the wait was thankfully only a few minutes given that this is a small restaurant. We decided to share both the charbroiled chicken shish kabob ($19.99) and the fresh Atlantic salmon kabob ($22.99). Each kabob entree comes with salad and rice. We chose a variety: romaine avocado salad, Mediterranean Greek salad, basmati rice, and bulgur pilaf (a nutty cracked wheat simmered usually with tomato paste). The salmon was my favorite kabob because it was juicy and flavorful. However, we only got five chunks, which is unfortunately not a good portion size for a dish costing more than $20. The chicken had a great smoky flavor with some char, but the meat didn't feel as tender as I hoped. We decided to try bulgur pilaf for the first time, and it tasted better than the basmati rice because it was simmered in a tomatoey broth. Service was good, and there was a moderate amount of waiting for food. Our server refilled waters and was friendly with other customers. Looking back, we thought that both kabobs didn't have much meat because the entree includes a salad. Came here for lunch on a Monday. Clean restaurant. The food was good, but pricey for the amount of meat you get (see picture). My steak kebab plate was $22.99 and there was hardly any meat. Also I asked for well done and one piece of meat was medium. The service was too slow on this particular day. I had to get up and ask for the check. The waitress comes over with a portable card reader. I dislike this way of paying. This restaurant should be order at the counter. My coworker liked her chicken panini and hummus appetizer. I have had food from here several times, and I find it to be average as far as flavor goes. We came here today and did a lunch pick up for an order I'd placed online. Customer service was great. The waitresses and cashier were very pleasant and friendly. The inside is small, and there's also a little patio up front which seems nice. The food itself though is a little lacking in flavor. This Brea location is found right next to pho ha, and has a small outdoor patio with seating for about 12 The interior is also cozy, seating about 20. This used to be a gyukaku Japanese grill. The shredded chicken was bland and the soup overall wasn't flavorful. The steak sandwich was bland and dry. The bell peppers and pickles had more flavor than the steak. Lestat is the man! Came here twice and bro is providing exceptional service on a daily basis. I've tried a few of their paninis, but the strawberry date salad is what has me coming back! It is a beautiful combination of sweet and savory flavors that make your taste buds sing. The sweet of the strawberries and dates married with the savory tang of the vinaigrette and the blue cheese crumbles are crave-worthy! I've usually had this as a side, but it would also be amazing as an entree by adding a protein. Although you have one main server, the staff works together as a team to serve customers. The ambiance is family friendly and inviting. I've had the chicken Parmesan panini and the salmon and Brie panini. The chicken parm comes with a marinara dipping sauce, but even with that, it was on the dry side and the chicken itself was very thin. The salmon and Brie one, however, was pretty amazing. I give it a 3 based on the meal I ordered, but would give customer service alone 5 stars. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap. It came with a side salad ( I chose Greek), and hummus. I will say that service was very friendly and the salad portion was huge. However, the salad was mostly greens with minimal other ingredients and very little dressing. The hummus texture was a bit gritty compared to most versions I've eaten elsewhere. Flavor was decent though. The wrap was not good to me. The chicken was so juicy but a smaller portion to the ratio of the wrap. I hated having super hot lettuce in the wrap. I also didn't taste the dressing in my bites. The inside of the restaurant was more upscale than casual and they had patio seating. It looked clean and open inside. If I visit again I would try to get the chicken and something else. read more

A casual nice family friendly restaurant located in Brea. The wait time for dinner time can be around 30 minutes if you're a group or 4+, on a weekend that's not bad at all. The food has generous portion sizes, no complaints there, good leftovers! The Mediterranean Greek salad was good with the perfect amount of cheese but I will say I felt my salad had a little too much dressing on it, next time I would order the vinaigrette on the side. Most meals come with a side soup or salad, great! My family ordered the hummus trio, tasty, the red hummus is a little more on the spicy side but I love spice. Their pita bread is so warm and smells fresh. Their tzatziki sauce is great! 10/10 The wraps are tasty and there's so many options to choose from! I ordered a freshly squeezed strawberry lemonade, I would say the normal lemonade tastes like it should but the strawberry is lacking a little more strawberry taste or inclusions at least. I have to say the star of this dish for me was the pita bread. SO GOOD AND FRESH! The plate was also delicious. I only ordered 1 stick of beef and was full halfway through, so be warned - this is a filling dish. The savory blend of spices in the beef made it super flavorful even without using any dipping sauce. The taste reminded me of Jollibee's burger steak but in the best way possible. We got a hummus plate as an appetizer which came with pita bread and vegetables with three different types of hummus that were absolutely delicious and fresh. I placed a large pick up order for my Dad's birthday, my parents picked it up in Brea and came to my place in Irvine bc they love the Brea location (even though there is a PKG down the street from me). Part of the order included a hummus trio. Thankfully this was after my Dad's birthday lunch, but when I later was enjoying the leftover hummus with carrots and bit down on a piece of METAL! I called the Brea location immediately and spoke to a manager and she was unapologetic and just provided me an email. Sent the email that same day and got no response. To just confirm they got the email I called the following day and spoke to the same manager. She again, was unapologetic and said her and the GM saw the email together but gave no resolution. I was told by Monday I could get an answer due to days off between them both. For a company whose philosophy is that our health is their priority, metal in my hummus is unacceptable as well as the lack of care and problem solving. read more

I called, they offered a refund but I really wanted some salad so my husband drove back(25 minutes round trip) to get it.
