I didn't realize until I came to write this review that Bushfire Kitchen is a small chain of restaurants. I came with a friend to this Brea location for lunch on a weekday afternoon. It's fast casual dining where you order at the counter, you're given a number, and your food is brought to your table. The folks working here were very pleasant and provided great customer service. I ordered the Millionaire's BLT Sandwich along with a blueberry cream empanada and a housemade lemonade. The empanada was handed to me on a plate immediately after paying and I was given a cup to pour my own lemonade from the nearby dispenser. The interior has quite a few seats and more outside on a covered patio. We decided to sit on the patio and the food was brought to our table several minutes later. While we waited, I tried my blueberry cream empanada, made with some sort of blueberry filling mixed with cream cheese. It was a bit unusual but I liked it. My friend shared a bite of the veggie empanada (spinach, roasted corn, bell peppers, potato, cilantro, onions and pepper-jack cheese; served with a housemade chimichurri sauce). I thought this was okay, made tastier with the uniquely thick chimmichurri sauce. My Millionaire's BLT was pretty good, although the bacon was a bit too spicy for me and my low-tolerance for heat. This sandwich was served in ciabatta bread with sweet and spicy millionaire's bacon, lettuce, tomato and housemade mayo. Although I'd never had it before, I knew Millionaire bacon would be spicy but didn't think it would make my eyes water incessantly throughout the meal. The lemonade was very good. They also have a variety of Stubborn soda options. This was a decent choice for lunch but I'd definitely order a different, less spicy menu item next time.

We came hungry and definitely ordered enough food to get a good feel for the menu. Everything tasted fresh and made with care, which is something we immediately noticed. The Surf & Turf Plate was our favorite. The combination of steak and shrimp was filling without feeling too heavy, and the Garlic Mashed Potatoes were so creamy. The Roasted Brussels Sprouts had great flavor and were a nice balance to the rest of the plate. The Tuscan Chicken Sandwich was another standout. The chicken was juicy, the flavors worked really well together, and the Sweet Potato Fries on the side were addicting. We also tried the Chicken Empanada and Mac and Cheese, both of which were comforting and satisfying. For drinks, the Raspberry Lychee Lemonade was refreshing and unique, and the Bushfire Red Wine Sangria was a great choice if you're looking for something a little more relaxing with your meal. Don't skip dessert either, he chocolate cookie was warm, soft, and disappeared way too quickly. This feels like one of those places where you can find something for everyone. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and plenty of options that go beyond the usual fast-casual experience. Service is great!

Bushfire was more bush than fire. A friend and I came here not at all expecting what we got, it's customizable and the staff are friendly, informative and helpful, so that was nice and the empanadas just calling you alongside the cookie display case. Unfortunately they didn't have any coffee.. which I don't know why I assumed they'd have it given the cookies. There's options for meat eaters and vegans alike with good roasted broccoli/cauliflower and fine rice. The sauce is also fine just fine. I even got to try the blueberry and cream empanada but... sorry, it's too sweet for me and at that point I really wished I had some coffee. Food came out fast and fresh.

Not sure what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised by the food! Easy to order and the staff were all friendly, with plenty of health eating options. Most importantly, the empanadas were delicious. They have happy hour and definitely looking forward to going back to try it out.

Saw the crowd every time we passed by to Brea Mall and finally bring the family to dine. Similar dining style with Panera or Corner Bakery. Plenty of healthy options. Nice modern dining area with Patio seating outside facing the street. Service was great and fast. Friendly. We did comment about the overcooked meat and the management responded in few days! That is a five stars customer service!! Food taste and portion is not bad at all. Typical quick dining and plating. Side dishes and some combo price are on the high side. Like a fine dining. Sides Sweet Potato Fries for $5.50? Good dining options in the area.

3.5 STARS I was looking forward to giving Bushfire Kitchen a try especially because they market themselves as serving "high-quality, fresh and locally sourced fruit and vegetables" so we decided to order delivery via UberEats. Unfortunately, for $60 total, the portion size felt pretty small. I'm not sure if it's because we got delivery, or if the portion size would have been different had we ordered in-restaurant). We got the Grilled Chicken Bowl, Salmon Bowl, and a Quinoa and Power Greens Salad. The meat of the Chicken Bowl and Salmon Bowl were a bit too salty for me personally, but overall was decent and I wouldn't mind eating it again. I did enjoy the Butternut Squash of the Salmon Bowl! What was most disappointing was the Salad. The portion size was incredibly small and I was bummed to find it was topped with nothing but canned ingredients - mandarin orange segments you get from a can, canned garbanzo beans and canned beets on top a thin layer of greens, with a light sprinkle of quinoa and avocado slices that also were turning color. I was hoping for ingredients that would be fresh and not from a can so definitely felt let down. I can't speak to the service as we didn't dine in, but in passing by the restaurant multiple times, parking always looked ample and plentiful. I really wanted to like Bushfire Kitchen and am always excited to support and try new businesses in the area, but I'm not sure I'll find myself back anytime soon.

The workers were really nice, and there are both indoor and outdoor tables to sit at. You order at the front, then they give you a number and bring the food out to you. It's definitely a healthier style restaurant and I really liked it. Empanadas (beef & chicken): Both were really good, i'd definitely come back for these! Surf and Turf: The sauces that came with it were really good. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the mixed veggies and brussels sprouts were delicious. The steak was a little tough to chew though. Peri Peri Burger: I wish the peri peri flavor was a bit stronger, but overall it was still a decent burger.

As a parent of a child with multiple food allergies (peanuts, wheat, dairy, and eggs), finding restaurants where we feel comfortable ordering food can be extremely challenging. That's why we truly appreciate BushFire. From the moment we order, their team is attentive and takes allergies seriously. They have an allergy checklist that clearly identifies what ingredients are in their food, and they take the extra step to double-check everything to help ensure it is safe for our son. That level of care and communication means so much to our family. It's rare to find a restaurant where we can relax and enjoy a meal without constantly worrying. On top of the excellent service, the food is absolutely delicious! Thank you BushFire for creating a place where families with food allergies can feel welcomed and taken care of. We'll definitely keep coming back!

Had a great meal at Bushfire Kitchen in Brea! One thing that immediately stood out was how accurately the food matched the photos on their website. Every dish arrived looking fresh, colorful, and exactly as advertised, which is always appreciated. The quality of the ingredients really shines through. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. The portions were satisfying without feeling overly heavy, and the flavors were balanced and delicious

Ordered delivery through DoorDash on a Friday evening. The food arrived fast enough but the to-go box wasn't very secured and the sauce spilled a bit. The food was absolutely delicious in big portions. We had Peri peri chicken with cauliflower and mashed potatoes, Nashville spicy grilled chicken sandwich and lemon cooler cookie. I was surprised at how yummy everything was. They have great gluten free options and they use quality beef and chicken as well! We will definitely order deliveries from here again!

I've been seeing rave reviews for Bushfire so I decided to check them out. Orders are placed at the counter and delivered to your table when they're ready. The staff is professional and efficient but not particularly welcoming. There is ample inside seating which is nicely arranged. There's also a very nice covered patio for outside seating. The food smells amazing as you walk into the restaurant! They offer a nice selection of bowls, salads, sandwiches, and sides. They also have a couple of small cases on the counter loaded with empanadas and desserts. Today I ordered the chicken empanada, their seasonal guava cream empanada, and a side of sweet potato fries. I've been on an empanada binge lately and I was particularly excited to try theirs. The chicken empanada was decent, but nothing really stood out about it. The guava cream one was delicious! I'd definitely get this one again! The sweet potato fries came with a peri peri mayo dipping sauce, which was a nice change from typical sauces. There were a couple of sandwiches that sounded good that I'm looking forward to trying next time.

We're back!!! This time, this place definitely deserves 5+++ stars!!! Food and service are both EXCELLENT!!! Our order was rung up correctly and the workers were extremely friendly and accommodating! We'll definitely be back!

New day, new bowl. Today we ate here in person. I ordered the superfood bowl which was delicious! Better than the last bowl I had, and also a very generous portion, it was quite filling and I couldn't even finish it all. I also tried the guava and cheese empanada, very tasty, in fact I shared it with my husband and then regretted it lol because I could've eaten the whole thing! We sat out in the patio which is nice, partially covered and has heaters and fans. Customer service was great, the staff were nice and pleasant to interact with. Overall a great experience.

We sat for over **20 minutes** without anyone coming to our table--not even to offer water. I eventually had to get up and ask someone to send a server over. What made it even more frustrating was watching other parties who arrived **15-20 minutes after us** receive water immediately and have their orders taken before anyone even acknowledged our table. After finally waiting another 10 minutes to receive our water, we had to track down our server again just to place our food order because no one returned to check on us. By that point, we had been sitting long enough and were more than ready to order. To make matters worse, we ordered an appetizer of coconut shrimp about five minutes after placing our entrée order, but it never arrived. After we had already finished our meals, we asked to cancel it, only to be told that our server had never entered the order in the first place. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the poor service. It lacked flavor and was very underwhelming. This experience was frustrating enough that I cannot recommend Reunion Kitchen. I initially wanted to believe this was simply an off day or an inexperienced server, but after hearing from two other people I know who described nearly identical experiences, it seems this may be a recurring issue. One thing that left me especially uncomfortable was seeing guests who arrived well after us receive prompt attention while our table was repeatedly overlooked. I can't say why that happened, but it certainly made us question whether we were being treated differently. I sincerely hope the restaurant looks into its service standards and ensures every guest is treated with the same level of respect and attention.

I had not noticed that they had some healthy items on their menu so I decided to walk in. The bar area had a good ambience with a game from the Dodgers playing. The bartender was really friendly and made me feel welcomed. Once I ordered my beer came out pretty quick and my burger followed not too long after. I ordered the bison burger, and it was really good. Definitely a place you can come watch sports or hang out with big groups. My husband and I came in on a weekday, a little before 8 for dinner. There were probably 5-7 parties throughout the restaurant and 2 people at the bar. No host at the front. Servers working at bar and a server walking around. No acknowledgment from staff or even a glance our direction. We decided to wait a few more minutes, if no one helps us we will leave. A few minutes later, a server quickly walks from the back. He grabs menus and takes us to a table. I liked that the booth was huge for just the 2 of us. I didn't like that the restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated by the bathroom and in front of the kitchen. Our server was Bryce and he was nice. We ordered: Steak fajitas - read a lot of reviews about this and it was just okay. I'm not sure what I was expecting. It's definitely a serving for 1. The steak was tough, but the veggies had flavor and cooked perfectly. The tortilla was also good. I ended up eating the veggies with the tortilla without the steak. It comes with small ramekins of sour cream, guacamole & the black bean salsa - which was more like a purée. Deviled eggs - so, I love deviled eggs. If it's on the menu at any restaurant, I always order them. These were very runny. The flavor was good, but the texture of the yolk was like baby food. I wouldn't order again. Grilled cheese & soup - this was good. Very cheesy. I thought the glasses for the drinks were cute. I drank about 1/2 my coke and noticed the glass was dirty with specs of food, both inside the glass and outside. My cloth napkin also had stains. We are local, so if our friends wanted to come back, we might try it again, but this would not be my first choice.

Life happened, years passed, and somehow I never made it back. Fast forward to today: I was driving my Tesla, jokingly asked Grok to take me somewhere for a beer, and it pointed me right back here. Walking in felt like revisiting a place that had been quietly waiting in the background of my story. The centerpiece is still the incredible bar. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling with whiskey bottles, glowing green tile behind the taps, warm lighting, and enough character that you can spend half your time simply looking around. It's the kind of room that feels both energetic and comfortable at the same time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched a soccer match on the TVs, and ordered an Old Fashioned. It arrived exactly the way I hoped it would: large clear ice cube, generous orange peel, balanced and smooth without trying too hard. Just a well-made classic cocktail. What stood out most was the atmosphere. These days I'm much more likely to be exploring hiking trails, photographing wildflowers, or driving mountain roads than spending time in bars. Twelve years ago, places like this were a much more regular part of my life. Coming back reminded me why I enjoyed them in the first place. Good conversation, a comfortable seat, a quality drink, and no rush to be anywhere else. The beer taps looked extensive, the whiskey selection seemed endless, and the entire place struck a balance between neighborhood pub and whiskey destination. Funny how a random AI navigation suggestion brought me back to a place I'd been meaning to revisit for over a decade. Glad it finally did. 5 stars.

For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.

Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita. I wasn't expecting it to be HUGE, but it was the perfect amount considering how much food we as a pair ordered. My friend ordered the La Toxica table side cocktail and one additional mango cocktail. Table side cocktail was a whole show and my friend really enjoyed it. We had a great lunch at Tempo Cantina. I can't wait to try more of their bar menu, maybe even at night when the restaurant is lively

Solid 3.8 stars! - note I've been coming here for multiple years and sadly they changed new owners…read moreand the food reflected that I do want to start off by saying the service was great, decor is the same as it was before, but docking off some stars due to the food I was used to Pork belly bites- this is my favorite item here, and when it came out today I was so surprised at how much smaller they were than before! It didn't taste as good and wasn't as juicy sadly. The sauces were still consistent but the pork belly itself was a bit lackluster from before Tinga taquitos- these used to be so juicy, the chicken inside was a bit dry and the tortilla itself was too thick. U def need to use the sauces they provide to offset the dryness Grilled Octopus- this dish was good, octopus was juicy but portion was a bit small for what it was. It also came with sweet potato fries Loaded fries- idk what I was expecting but these were just fries with buffalo chicken nuggets on top. Don't get me wrong this was decent and the buffalo chicken was tangy and juicy! Thirsty Thursday deals happen all day $7 margs and you know I had to get some. Mango was the sweetest, strawberry was not bad, guava was the best in balance of flavor in sweetness and alcohol. Overall not a bad experience but note if u haven't came here in a while, the food quality has changed sadly

Toast has become a great location that my family and I frequent at, specifically Sundays…read more I originally came to speak praises on how accommodating the staff is despite how busy this location can become (I have also been to 'Story' in Anaheim). However, reading the below post, I would like to comment on my perspective, because I was a table sitting right next to the latest post. I watched as you made the hostess move you twice in the same area. I watched as you waited 20 minutes for your own party. I watched as you interrupted the waitress multiple times as she was serving the tables beside you, including mine. I watched as you chased down the man in the suit after you called over three other servers that assured you of the busy time. I also watched three other people bring out all your food, and you yell at them "NO" and told the server to "go away. Youre missing the game now" I also watched you yell at the man in the suit. He did nothing but smile, as someone should when being disrespected in his place of business. The tables around were staring because of your behavior or tantrum. Yelp is for reviews of food and honest feedback. Not to throw a tantrum because of impatience or maybe because you wanted a free meal. This is not fair to this location or staff that tried to remedy your outburst which caused your family to leave. I will return here again and again, and really could not stand to read someone bashing this place because of a busy Sunday. This place is always booming on Sundays, reservations are a must and wait times are EXPECTED. The food is worth the wait and the service is extremely warming during the wait. Thank you TOAST and the owners for your establishment!!

The Short Rib chilaquiles are very tasty, and the flavors complemented each other so well. I would definitely get this again. It was a somewhat large plate so easily shareable between 2! I ordered the Mexican Mocha latte with oat milk, and it wasn't the most flavorful - it was a mild flavor. I liked it but wasn't my favorite. My mom ordered the steak & eggs, and she thought it was very filling and tasty. A little plain though but to be expected with a steak and eggs, she was expecting a thicker cut.

Passed by this place and decided to give it a try. What a unique German restaurant right in Brea…read more It instantly reminded me of the Hofbräuhaus in Vegas with its friendly and welcoming food hall. I'm not super familiar with German cuisine, but everything felt authentic and traditional. I ordered their popular Ruben sandwich, served hot with corned beef, sauerkraut, and a Russian dressing on rye bread. It was delicious and packed with meat and flavor. The fries that came along with it were so crispy and tasty. I also tried the breaded veal cutlet, which is a German specialty. Both dishes were very good and hearty. They also have a great beer selection on draft. I went with the Spaten Pilsner, which paired perfectly with the meal. I love that each of their beers is served in its own branded glass. It was just super filling, I wasn't able to finish everything. Overall, a great experience and definitely a spot I'd come back to and try their various specialties (like their sausages) !

It is very dim inside the environment, but the noise level was loud which was great for the group dinner i went for. The grilled oysters, center ribeye, Brussel sprouts, and creamed spinach was delicious! I would not get the charcuterie board or the gnocchi again just pricey for what it was. Now they have about ten choices for desserts but i loved the huge slice of carrot cake over the warm butter cake although that was good too. Overall the establishment was clean and the service was fast and everybody was friendly and professional. I will be coming back for sure.
